Dinky has been passed around from relative to relative for as long as she can remember. Although Dinky was never mistreated, she longs for stability in her life. When she reads a copy of The Friendship Journal, she's drawn to Applejack's descriptions of a secure, welcoming home, so she decides to join the scores of other ponies who squat on Sweet Apple Acres.
