"I Love You"

Hopefully whoever gets these submissions will understand this, but this story was really just meant to be a short, sweet story, just around 500 words. But apparently it needs to be at lease a thousand words to get verified, so now I've gotta throw in some filler here to hit that word count

While this does kinda ruin the story, which I apologize for, I hope it doesn't affect anyone's opinion, as this was necessary in order to get the fic verified and I didn't want to add anymore onto the actual fic which might ruin its simplicity.

So basically, what I'm gonna do is just rant about FlutterDash for 500 words until my story is at least 1000 words total. What could possibly go wrong?

` What I love about FlutterDash, first and foremost, is that while they are so very different, their personalitites compliment each other so well. For instance, Fluttershy is often falling behind on many occasions, like in "Dragonshy," but when Rainbow Dash takes the time to encourage her and push her without getting annoyed, like in "Hurricane Fluttershy," we see that Fluttershy is able to keep up and even exceed everypony's expectations. At least when Rainbow Dash is invoved, that is.

I admit that Rainbow Dash acted like a bit of a jerk in Dragonshy, but we see her in a similar situation in Hurricane Fluttershy, and she acts like an entirely different pony. To me, this shows how their relationship has developed since back in early Season 1. Not only that, but any aspects of their personality that are too different are the ones that the two ponies change in order to please each other. Fluttershy is able to keep up and even act assertive around Rainbow Dash like in the intro to "Dragon Quest," and Rainbow Dash is able to shed her brash nature in order to comfort and support Fluttershy, as seen in Hurricane Fluttershy

Now I don't mean to bash other pairings, but man people would point out that this could all be interpreted as friendship and that their is no possibility of any romance between the two ponies. But let's think for a second. We all agree that Rainbow Dash is good friends with every one of the Mane 6, right? So if the relationship between Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy is merely friendship, why doesn't Rainbow Dash strive to change aspects of her personality to please the other members of the Mane 6 like she does for Fluttershy?

Sure, she seems genuinely worried about AJ in "The Last Roundup," but at the end she gets mad when the other ponies see her "acting all sappy." Still the same brash Rainbow Dash, right? So why, in "Hurricane Fluttershy," does Rainbow Dash not care about acting that why around Fluttershy? She even goes as far as to show her feelings in public, when Fluttershy runs away and Rainbow Dash regretfully watches her go, before buckng the air in anger. Again, Rainbow Dash acts differently around Fluttershy than she would around her normal friends.

Many people would say that Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie would make a good pairing, as they are both free-spirited ponies who lve to have fun. But if you recall, it's Rainbow Dash's idea in The Last Roundupto use Pinkie Pie as a weapon in order to literaly annoy AJ into submission. Not only does this prove that Rainbow Dash finds Pinkie annoying, but it show how she would use one of her good friends as a tool to accomplish a goal. But that's not the case for Fluttershy. In Hurricane Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash is incredibly disappointed when Fluttershy runs off, even though she believes she'll still easily have enough wing power to lift the water. She makes it very obvious that one of her main prioirities, which she finds nearly as important as lifting the water, is "lifting Fluttershy out of the dumps." She doesn't care about Fluttershy's wingpower, she just cares about Fluttershy. This shows that Rainbow Dash wouldn't use Fluttershy as a tool for success, which we've seen her do with her other friends. This is another way in which Rainbow Dash acts differently around Fluttershy.

I said before I'm not here to bash other ships, just to prove how Rainbow Dash acts differently around Fluttershy than her other friends. But I am really going to struggle with this particular ship, as I see know way in which it could possibly work out. The ship I speak of is TwiDash, and to just get it out of my system, I'll say this. Both ponies would constantly be slowing each other down, Twilight slowing Dash athletically, and Dash slowing Twilight intellectually, to the point where a lasting relationship between them would fall apart. Now that we've gotten through that, back to the topic at hand.

It takes Rainbow Dash a trip to the hospital to finally allow Twilight to convince her to try reading. Had it not been for her stay at the hospital, Rainbow Dash robably never would have tried reading, seeing as the last thing she wants is to be called an "egghead." So if Rainbow Dash was so reluctant to try something for Twilight that she thought she wouldn't enjoy, why was Fluttershy able to convince her to attend the Butterfly Migration from Dragon Quest? Some might say that it probably took a lot of coaxing for Rainbow Dash to finally agree to it, but we can be relatively sure that Rainbow Dash didn't need to be hospitalized in order for Fluttershy to convince her. So once again, Rainbow Dash makes a sacrifice to please Fluttershy, even though she has proven she wouldn't do the same for her other friends. And c'mon. We all know Rainbow Dash was looking at some "other butterflies" in that picture she holds up.

Rainbow Dash wants things done her way. This is pretty obvious, in fact we see it from all the ponies in "Suited For Success," when each pony wants her dress done to her own specifications. So, when choosing a pet, Rainbow Dash would never let a slow, unattractive turtle (tortoise) compete, especially since she's proven that she doesn't let her friends interfere with her judgment. That is unless, of course, a certain yellow pegasus asks nicely to "just let him try." In May The Best Pet Win, Rainbow Dash knows what kind of pet she wants, and is 100% sure that there is no way a turtle (tortoise) could compete in, or win her competition. But when Fluttershy asks her to let the tortoise compete, she allows it, with a bit of coaxing. So when Tank ends up winning, we not only see how well Fluttershy knows Rainbow Dash, but we also see how Rainbow Dash would change her mind on something set in stone for Fluttershy, which she proved she wouldn't do for her other friends in Suited For Success.

So, I believe that just about wraps things up, and we've more than achieved our 1000 word minimum. If you don't agree with some of the points I've made feel free to comment, but jplease comment on this chapter, not the full story.

Thanks!
