//-------------------------------------------------------// My Dear Friends -by ChrisTheGamer95- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// First Impressions //-------------------------------------------------------// First Impressions You stepped in front of the large glass doors at the entrance of the school and sighed. This was your last chance to be normal. Your last chance to actually be known for something other than being the school's punching bag. As your mind drifted away on all the other things that were at stake, one thing stuck at the front of your mind. Make some friends. With your backpack hung loosely over your shoulder, you grabbed the door handle and pulled. Taking another step, you took the time to look at everything in the main lobby. It wasn't extremely fancy like Cyrstal Prep, but at the same time, it wasn't the worst thing a school could look like either. No one seemed to notice that you entered and continued to walk to their first classes. Taking a deep breath, you started toward the crowd, trying to ask for directions for yours. "Excuse me I- um... Hey, could you tell me..." Each time you tried to ask someone for directions, they would ignore you as if you weren't even there. This obviously annoyed you. The only person you saw in the crowd of students that wasn't being rude was a strange lavender-skinned girl who was getting knocked around by almost everyone passing by. You couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for her. Either way, you doubted she was going to help you and continued forward. "Wow, really warm welcome..." you sighed, looking down at the ground. It was just like every other school you went to. It was everyone for themselves and themselves alone. "LOOK OUT!" The shout brought you back into reality as you looked up just in time to catch a glimpse of dark purple eyes. Before you knew it, you were knocked to the ground with an audible thump. Pain temporarily rushed through your body as you tried to process what just happened. As you rubbed your head to try and sooth the pain, you heard the voice from before. "Ow... Sorry 'bout that." she said in pain from the impact. Your eyes opened to see who it was and what you found was interesting to say the least. You could see a teenage girl no older than you were. She wore a black sweatshirt hoodie with matching boots and olive green shorts. A dark purple helmet with two white stripes running down it covered her hair. Laying on its side was a cyan scooter with red handles and wheels. Now that you thought about it, why DID she have this scooter with her? Last time you checked, you were to leave your bikes or scooters in the rack outside the school. Ignoring the growing want to ask why she had this, you got up and dusted yourself off. "Don't worry. Not the worst welcoming I've ever had." It was now that you saw the other two girls beside her. One had light yellow skin, red hair, and a large pink bow almost the size of her head. The other, had skin as white as snow and curly pink and purple hair. As the two helped the other up, they looked at you with a smile. "Howdy!" the bow-wearing girl greeted with a southern accent. "Um, hello." you plainly replied. You were uneasy as the many scenario's this confrontation could play out flooded through your head. You weren't exactly the best at making friends and besides the rare occasion, you would be alone for most of the day. "I haven't seen ya' round here. You must be new. Ah'm Apple Bloom!" You were at least happy to see some enthusiasm for new students, unlike the other schools you've been to. "Hello. My name's Sweetie Belle." the curly-haired girl added. Finally, the girl who ran into you earlier gave you a smile and spoke. "The name's Scootaloo. Nice to meet ya'." With a smile, you shook her hand. "It's nice to meet you, too. I'm-" Before you could tell them your name, you suddenly remembered what you need to ask. "Oh, right! I need directions to Ms. Cheerlie's. You know where it is?" "Yeah. It's the fourth door on your right. We're headed there too for our first class." Scootaloo replied. "Well, that's pretty convenient." you stated. "I'm willing to bet that you have all of classes as us!" Apple Bloom exclaimed. You shrugged playfully. "That could be the case. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the case." Before the conversation could drag on any further, Sweetie Belle stepped in. "Guys! Class starts in two minutes!" As you and the girls started towards your class, you couldn't help but feel like your life was finally starting to turn around. This was the first time anyone was showing you any sort of decency and kindness at school. Even the teachers you had at previous schools weren't this nice! If this kept up, maybe Canterlot High wouldn't be so bad. Lunch had come around much sooner than you expected. Unlike many other first days you had, nothing really seemed too out of the ordinary. Just the standard boring lessons and homework. You grabbed your food and sat down next to the girls. They welcomed you with warm smiles as they continued to eat. "So, you ready for a big surprise?" Scootaloo asked, taking a bite out of her sandwich. "Surprise?" you tilted your head in confusion. Apple Bloom nodded. "Us three are part of a group called the-" Before she could finish, two more girls with mischievous smirks approached your group. "The Cutie Mark Goon-Saders. I see your trying to recruit some sorry soul into your group." She was dressed in a sparkly yellow jacket and a white and black dress. Her skin was a pale megenta and her hair was light megenta with white streaks. Beside her was a light grey-skinned girl with blue glasses. "It's Cutie Mark Crusaders!" Sweetie Belle growled. "Who are these two again?" you asked in a perplexed tone. The two girls in front of you smiled even wider. "Oh, you must be new here. I am Diamond Tiara and this is Silver Spoon. We're, like, a pretty big deal around here." "Yeah, fer' the wrong reasons." Apple Bloom whispered. "Oh, and like your little band of friends is known for anything better!" Diamond Tiara spat. Scootaloo groaned in aggravation. "Why do we even have to do this? It's the same song and dance every day! JUST LEAVE US ALONE!" She then violently took a bite out of her sandwich. "We'll leave you alone when you actually become good at something." Silver Spoon laughed. "Until then, feel free to continue to run around and keep trying to become useful to society." Diamond mocked. "And as for you, new kid. I wouldn't hang out with these three if you don't want to be an outcast. Though, I'm pretty sure your already one considering these girls seem to be your only friends. Also, a fair warning. If we find you hanging out with these losers, don't expect anything good to come of it." By now, you had heard enough to become completely triggered. This girl clearly didn't care about anyone's feelings and was willing to do anything to get under other people's skin. You had met way too many people with this kind of mindset. Being reminded of your status for having little to no friends only made this worse. You stood up from your seat and furrowed your brow. Your hand clenched into a fist as you held back the rage inside of you. The two saw this and continued to mock you. "Now now, be neighborly. You wouldn't want to do something you would regret." Diamond Tiara said. "I'm not your neighbor. In fact, I'm pretty sure I hate you now." You growled. As much as you wanted to give her a clean punch across her face, you didn't want to stoop to her level. Especially on your first day. "We're done humoring ourselves for now. We must be going. Have fun!" Luckily for you and your friends, the two bullies walked away from your table, finally giving you all some peace. You turned back to the others as you all gave a sigh of relief. "Something tells me I'm gonna get real tired of those two." you grumbled. "Yeah, join the club." Apple Bloom glumly replied. It seemed like an eternity before you were ready to talk again. "So... what was that about the Cutie Mark Crusaders?" you asked. The three looked at you with curious expressions. "Wait, you still wanna join?" Scootaloo asked. "Not many people wanna hang with us after meeting Diamond and Silver Spoon." You raised a brow at this statement. "Why's that? "They make all these threats to the new students telling them that if they even think about being around us, they'll make their lives miserable. Not that it stops them from being jerks either way." Scootaloo continued. "Well, lucky for you, I don't think too much about empty threats." you said. You then watched as the three perked up and seemed much happier than before. "So, what's this club about?" "We're on a crusade, a mission!" Scootaloo exclaimed "To find our special talents!" Sweetie Belle added. "No matter how long it takes!" Apple Bloom finished. The idea of trying to find what you were good at did intrigue you. You thought of all the things you would get to try alongside your friends. "We're always lookin' to expand our numbers, and ya'll seem ta' be the perfect fit!" Apple Bloom cheered. "Isn't that what we say to all of our recruits before they get talked out of it?" Sweeite whispered, barely reaching your ears. Apple Bloom groaned. "Yes, it is. But I got a good feeling about this time!" "So, when are we meeting up?" You interrupted, regaining their attention. "Meet us in town square after school. We've got something real good planned!" Scootaloo said, growing a mischievous smirk. You saw this and sweat dropped. Regardless, you nodded and watched the girls continue to grow happier every second. "Alright! CUTIE MARK CRUSADER MEMBER RECRUITING SUCCESS! YAY!!!" They all shouted in unison, gaining the attention of almost the entire lunch room. You ears were ringing more than they ever have if your entire life. It was if the three had used a mega phone out of thin air. You lightly touched your ears and shook your head. "Oops... Sorry." they said in unison once more. "No, it's fine. I'll get used to that." You weakly chuckled. They were energetic, that was for sure. You silently wondered if you were excited or frightened to see what was to come next. Author's Note Don't see that many CMC 2nd Person stories and decided to try my hand at one. Tell me what you think in the comments down below. On another note, I am now heading into 8th grade and thought this would be fitting. See you all next time! //-------------------------------------------------------// First Crusade //-------------------------------------------------------// First Crusade It was 3:12 and everyone was exiting the school. You walked out and quickly spotted the CMC waving at you from a distance. As you made your way to them, you flashed the best smile you could make. "So, whatcha' got planned? Scootaloo grinned and threw you a helmet. You caught it and looked back up at her. "We're gonna do something totally amazing!" Immediately, you put both hands to your ears and braced for impact. "CUTIE MARK CRUSADER PARKOURISTS!!!" It wasn't as bad as the first time, but it still hit your eardrums very loudly. As you lowered your hands, you felt that parkour didn't sound so bad. If fact, you would do it in your spare time. It also helped to escape school bullies and avoid fights. It wasn't the safest pass time, but it was certainly better than getting the crap beat out of you by others. "Well, you an' Scootaloo are gonna do it. Sweetie and I are gonna follow ya'll the best we can." Apple Bloom explained. Sweetie Belle nodded in confirmation. "Ok, where too?" you asked. Scootaloo and the others pointed towards the rows of houses ahead. Sweetie Belle pulled out a camera and started recording. As if on cue, Scootaloo started speaking to the camera. "What's goin' on, guys? It's Scootaloo with my awesome fellow crusaders as camera girls." The camera then turned to the other two Crusaders waving before turning it back around. "Today, we're gonna do some awesome parkour with the new kid of the school!" The camera then panned to your face as you gave a quick two-fingered salute. You really didn't know what else to do and you were relieved to see the camera go back to Scootaloo. "Without further ado, let's get started." The magenta-haired girl took off as you followed suit. As you neared the top of the stairs, you and Scootaloo took a big leap forward. You felt the air rush past your body as you and Scootaloo jumped down the first flight of stairs. You jumped on a rail and slid down it to bypass the second flight of stairs while your partner jumped up on a wall and started to run in a diagonal angle down towards the ground. She got a few inches before her foot slipped and smashed a window. Her body fell through the hole as you skidded to a stop and quickly ran back towards her. You saw Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle already there, the camera now turned off. You pulled open the door to the house as you and the others ran in. The first room you and your friends were in was painted a light-blue and varying shades of darker blue and purple. Well, that was how half of the room looked. The right side of the room was a light-pinkish-brown. To be honest, the strange structure of the house surprised you. Perhaps the owner of the house couldn't decide what color to paint the house and chose both. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle pulled her back up as she shook her head. She gave a weak chuckle and sighed. "My bad... I guess I forgot to watch where my feet went." "Well ain't this jus' dandy." Apple Bloom whined. "How are we gonna fix this?!" Before she could be given an answer, you heard footsteps coming from the room over. You could tell your friends were dreading this encounter and you yourself was worried as well. Who was to say that the owner of the house wasn't going to try and arrest you and your friends? Regardless, there was no where else to go. Jumping through a window with broken glass wasn't the brightest idea and the door was too far away to go to without being seen. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, a white-skinned girl with electric blue spiky hair and dark purple shades emerged, bopping her head to the music from her headphones. "Yo, what's goin' on?" she asked in a laid back attitude, much to your surprise. She then looked over at the broken window and playfully shook her head. "Aw, really? That's the third one this week!" Your eyes shrunk at the mention of three broken windows in a single week. How many times had the Cutie Mark Crusaders done this? "Oh well, I guess this one's on Tavi." It was then that she finally turned your attention back to you and your friends. "You know, I'm pretty sure this is karma for Tavi taking the last of the spaghetti. I swear, she always does it. Kinda gotta thank you for that. "Um... your welcome?" you replied nervously. This was a first for you. Normally when you would break something (which was rare to begin with) you would get rightfully scolded and punished. Regardless, you and your friends rolled with it and introduced yourselves. "I'm Scootaloo, and these are my friends, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and the new kid." You mentally slapped yourself in the head for never telling them your name. It was then you wondered how you forgot to do something that simple. The older girl flashed a smile and lowered her headphones down and hung them around her neck. "Cool, cool. I'm Vinyl Scratch. Better known at gigs as DJ PON-3!" "Um, thanks for being so cool about this whole situation. We didn't mean to break your window." you said to the DJ. She put her hands up and stopped your from rambling on. "It's fine, kid! In fact, that window's not even mine, it's Tavi's. Though, I'd get out of here if I were you. She should be coming back here any minute now. Don't worry. I'll take the blame this time." You were filled with some relief in knowing that your friends didn't break windows in this house before. Even more so, this person who might as well have been a stranger to you a few minutes ago was already willing to take the blame for you and your friends. Your thoughts were once again interrupted as the ringing of a phone blared through the house. Vinyl pulled out her cellphone and answered it. You and your friends watched with anticipation and fear as she answered. "Yo, 'sup? Yeah... Uh huh... Yeah, totally!... Quit worrying so much... Okay, bye!" Vinyl then lowered her phone and put it in her back pocket. "That was 'Tavi. She's gonna be home in about thirty seconds. You gotta get out of here!" The DJ then rushed you all out of the door with a smile. As the Cutie Mark Crusaders ran off, you turned back to the high-schooler. "Thanks a lot for this." "I got your guys' backs." She then closed the door as you ran off and caught up to the others. It was now 6:34 and the four of you looked up at the bee hive attached to a lone branch of a tree. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle looked up with confidence and determination in their eyes. You and Apple Bloom on the other hand were anything but confident of the situation your friends put you in. You never were very fond of bees and neither was Apple Bloom. Regardless, you two were here for moral support and the fact that you weren't willing to abandon your friends. Scootaloo stepped forward and lightly kicked the tree. This action shook the tree and in turn, the hive as well. Seconds later, an entire swarm of bees emerged from their home and looked down at the two. "Hello!" Sweetie Belle greeted. "Me and my friend were wondering if you all were willing to give us some honey!" "Please!" Scootaloo added for good measure. You turned to see Apple Bloom take a few steps backward in fear. "Oh no." the farm girl whispered. She could see the looks in the bees' eyes. They were anything but friendly. In a flash, you watched as the swarm almost immediately went for Sweetie Belle. Their stingers pierced into Sweetie Belle's left arm as she yelped in pain. "YEOWCH!" They continued buzzing all around their body while another swarm came out of the hive and went after Scootaloo. They too stung Scootaloo, only instead of going for the arms, they went for something a bit more embarrassing. "WHY ARE THEY JUST GOING FOR MY BUTT!" Scootaloo screamed as she and Sweetie Belle started running in your direction with the bees trailing behind. Your eyes widened as the black and yellow flying monsters closed in on you all. "Oh, crap baskets..." You wimpered and before long, you, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo were running for your lives as the bees continued in hot pursuit. "Gotta go fast, gotta go fast! Oh crap, their gaining on us!" you shouted. You were now starting to wonder why you didn't try to talk them out of this. You could have done something much safer like reenacting anime or story writing. You then felt a burning pain run through your body as you quickly traced the source of the pain back to a bee who had managed to plant its stinger in the back of your neck. You pulled it out and threw it on the ground as you and your friends rounded a corner and hid as the bees flew right passed you. You didn't understand why that worked, but you were glad it worked regardless. You then looked back at your friends to survey their injuries. Sweetie Belle, for the most part, suffered the least amount of stings, second only to you. Her left arm was swollen with a few red marks covering her white skin. Scootaloo had her stings evenly dispersed around her body excluding her bottom which had taken the most of it. She rubbed her behind, whining when she touched a place where she had been stung. However, before you could see it, you heard a shout of pain come from behind you. Apple Bloom had just been stung by a lone bee on the cheek. Quickly, you swatted the bee off of the girl which then died after loosing its stinger. The three started to panic as Apple Bloom held her cheek. "Oh no. No no no no!" Apple Bloom shrieked. "Crap!" Scootaloo shouted. Sweetie Belle had a similar expression. "We gotta get her to back home!" "Why?" you asked them. Apple Bloom looked over to you, a look of worry on her face. "There was a bigger reason to why I wasn't up with Sweetie and Scootaloo. I'm allergic to bees." Without further explanation, the three ran off towards the south with you tailing behind. Everyone who you passed by flashed a curious look as you continued running. Within a few minutes, you had finally reached Apple Bloom's home. It was a bright red house with a light purple roof and apple trees spread out in the surrounding area. By now, Apple Bloom's cheeks were red and swollen and her head was pointed down at the ground. You then noticed that Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were slowing down and did as well. You watched as the farmer ran into the house and slammed the door shut. "Hey." You started. "Should we go in there?" Scootaloo shook her head. "Apple Bloom usually doesn't want us to follow her around 24/7. She just needs some time to recover. Trust us." Sweetie Belle nodded in confirmation. You shifted your foot slightly. "Okay... As long as she's gonna be fine. Should we do something else?" You noticed Sweetie Belle open her mouth before you stopped her. "That DOESN'T involve animals or insects?" Sweetie Belle then lowered her head in sadness. "Maybe next time. Anything else?" "The thing is, we really don't like doing too much when we're all not together. It just doesn't feel right." Scootaloo stated. That seemed reasonable. These three from the moment you met them and up to now acted like they were family. It was least you could do to wait until Apple Bloom was back before you all continued with your quest. Without too much more thinking, you thought of something that could kill some time and help you get closer to your new friends... Well, two of them, anyways. "Um, would either of you be up to spending the night at my house?" you asked. "Why, that sounds delightful!" Sweetie Belle cheered. She then took a pause before her expression turned glum. "But I can't come. I have to get back to my sister's." She then turned and started running back into town. "See you all tomorrow!" she shouted from a distance. "Well, I guess it's just you and me." you said, turning to Scootaloo who nodded. "I guess I can stay the night with you." she said. "You sure you don't have to head home for clothes or anything?" you asked. "Nah. I'm good." All Scootaloo had was her backpack and nothing else. It seemed a bit strange, but you soon forgot about it. You and Scootaloo were now back on main street and nearing your house. It was then that a familiar voice reached your ears. "Come on! This isn't fair!" It didn't take long to track the source of the voice back to one Vinyl Scratch who was currently being dragged by her right hand. The person that was dragging her was a light grey skinned girl with black hair about her age. You and Scootaloo approached the two who soon took notice of you. "Hi. Um... Lovely evening, isn't it?" you said, trying to quickly break the ice. "Yes it is. and I do not believe I have seen you around here before." The girl told you in a British accent. "I am Octavia and this is my roommate, Vinyl Scratch." "Yeah, um... we've already met her, but it's good to meet you too." You shook Octavia's free hand as Vinyl continued to struggle. "See! They know me! Please, let me go. You don't want to keep this awesomeness contained!" "Come now." she said in a stern, yet slightly playful voice. "You broke the window, now your going to go and help me pay for it. You will not bring younger children into this. Now I must be going before the store closes. Farewell." Scootaloo tilted her head slightly before turning to you. "Should we help her?" Before you could respond, you heard the groan of a now thoroughly annoyed Octavia. "Keep this up and the spaghetti won't be the only thing I'll take away." "NOOOO!!!" Vinyl screamed dramatically as you watched her get dragged towards the window shop. She held her hand out, hoping that either you would try to help her. "I'm sure she'll be fine." You said, stifling a chuckle before continuing to your house. You weren't sure why, but somewhere within your mind, you knew that this was only the beginning of a long and strange school year. Author's Note Sorry this took so long! School has been a lot of work and I haven't had much time to work on stories lately. I hope this was worth the wait! Tell me what you think in the comments down below and I will see you all next time!
