Yes, the first paragraph is the same as the other story, but that's the only similarity, the rest is completely different.
Princesses vs. Chrysalis
"There is no revenge you could ever conceive of that will come close to what I will exact upon you one day, Starlight Glimmer!"
Chrysalis jumped off a cliff and flew away.
The ponies, changelings, and Discord didn't follow her. Without her army or her kingdom, she wasn't a threat anymore.
Or so they thought.
Once Chrysalis was sure no one was following her, she paced around thinking of a plan. As if her defeat in Canterlot wasn't bad enough, now she lost her entire army.
Whatever it was, she'd have to bide her time. They might be anticipating her return if she attacked too soon. She had waited a long time after her first defeat, after all. The ponies thought she had fallen to her death. They didn't know changelings were impervious to long falls. That's why they hadn't expected her to return.
She didn't know how powerful Starlight was. But, she'd still have to deal with all four princesses if she was to continue from her revenge on Starlight.
Yes, the first step would be to become more powerful.
How to go about it? Not Princess Cadance and Shining Armor again. Since they were the ones she had gone for last time, they'd be on their guard, and Twilight had seen through her imitation of Cadance.
Twilight Sparkle. Princess Twilight Sparkle. She'd have to get revenge on her after Starlight. Twilight was a powerful alicorn so she'd need power to deal with her.
Suddenly, she realized what she should do. Some of her changelings had roamed Ponyville disguised as duplicate background ponies before her attack on Canterlot, and told her of two lovers. She only hoped their affection was as strong as before.
Rarity was walking through Ponyville when Applejack walked up to her.
"Howdy, Rarity," she said. "I wanna show you somethin'."
"Oooh, I wonder what it could be?" said Rarity.
Applejack led Rarity a bit of the way out of Ponyville, so no one was around.
"Ah gotta say... yer tail is simply divine! Ah'd love to bite it like ah always do to Rainbow Dash!"
"Go ahead," said Rarity, who was very flattered.
Applejack bit Rarity's tail... and then, in a burst of green flame, she transformed into Chrysalis!
"You!" said Rarity.
Chrysalis flew towards Canterlot, taking Rarity with her.
"Unhand me, you ruffian!" said Rarity.
"You must not interfere with my plans for vengeance!" said Chrysalis through Rarity's tail.
Rarity was thankful ponies' tails didn't have pain receptors, because Chrysalis's teeth were sharp. Of course, her tail had faced far worse, when she cut it off to fix Steven Magnet's mustache. But, her tail was the least of her worries.
Once Rarity was imprisoned in a chrysalis in the caves beneath Canterlot, Chrysalis turned into Medley and flew back to Ponyville.
Chrysalis flew over to Twilight's castle, and transformed into Rarity. She entered the castle, and searched until she found Spike.
"Hey, Spike!" said Chrysalis. "Did I ever tell you how much I love you?"
Spike's eyes turned into hearts. He had nearly gotten over Rarity, and how she was showing him affection. Not that this was the first time, but still.
"Let's go have a romantic dinner together!" said Chrysalis.
"I've still got some things to do for Twilight, but we can go after I'm done!"
Chrysalis grinned evilly, her eyes flashing green.
Starlight walked by. "Hi Rarity," she said.
Chrysalis's horn flared with green magic, but she stopped herself in time. She had to play her role more carefully than last time if she was to exact her revenge.
After a few days, Chrysalis decided she was ready. She waited for Starlight to come out of Twilight's castle. Eventually, Starlight did, with Twilight and Spike at her side.
Chrysalis ran in front of them.
"Starlight Glimmer... I will have my revenge!" In a burst of green flame, she assumed her true form.
"Queen Chrysalis!" said Twilight.
"I'm not queen anymore thanks to Starlight!"
"What did you do with Rarity?" said Spike, running at Chrysalis, but Twilight magically held him back by his tail.
"I imprisoned her in the caves beneath Canterlot. I plan to do deliciously dreadful things to her once I get my revenge! And it looks like I'll get revenge on two ponies at once!"
Chrysalis shot a magic beam at Starlight. Starlight countered with a magic beam of her own, but Chrysalis overpowered Starlight and blasted her to the ground.
"Starlight!" cried Twilight.
"Looks like Spike's love for Rarity made me powerful enough to defeat Starlight!" said Chrysalis. "And I wasn't even using half of my full power! I'll destroy Twilight outright, and torture Starlight for a while before I figure out the best way to finish her off!"
Suddenly, the door opened, and Celestia, Luna, and Cadance walked outside.
"What are they doing here?" said Chrysalis.
"We were having a meeting at my castle," said Twilight. "The three of us were on our way to get some cupcakes for them."
"Haven't you learned your lesson?" said Celestia. "You can never win."
"But I can!" said Chrysalis. "I'll take both you on at once!"
Celestia and Luna combined a magic beam and shot it at Chrysalis, who countered with another magic beam. Celestia and Luna started to win, but then Chrysalis used a 50% of her power and overpowered the two alicorns. They both collapsed to the ground.
"You can never defeat me! I am too powerful!" said Chrysalis.
"We must all attack her at once!" said Cadance. "Only then do we have a chance!"
Celestia and Luna got up, stood together with Twilight and Cadance, and together the four shot a massive, combined blast of magic at Chrysalis. Chrysalis shot her own green blast of magic at them, at 100% of her full power. If this hit the princesses, there was no doubt it would destroy them.
The princesses' magic beam was powerful, glowing with yellow, dark blue, light blue, and red lights, similar to Twilight's battle with Tirek, but slowly, Chrysalis was starting to overpower them.
"It's no use... she's going to win!" said Luna.
"Starlight Glimmer! We need you!" said Twilight.
Starlight ran to her mentor's side and combined her powerful magic beam with the princesses'.
Chrysalis was a little disappointed that she wouldn't get to torture Starlight, but at least she'd be gone, along with all of the princesses, and then she could manipulate the dragons into going to war with Thorax and his reformed changelings.
Slowly, the five ponies' magic beam began to overpower Chrysalis's.
"No... NO!" said Chrysalis, trying to use more power, but it was no use. She was using 100% of her full power and it was no match for the magic of four alicorns and Starlight Glimmer.
The ponies' magic beam swallowed up Chrysalis's and hit her directly. At first, only her outline was visible, and then she was vaporized.
The ponies' magic blast shot into the distance. Nothing or nopony else was in the line of fire.
The ponies looked at the spot where Chrysalis had been standing. There was nothing but a burnt spot on the ground. Chrysalis would threaten Equestria no more.
"She said she imprisoned Rarity in the caves beneath Canterlot," said Twilight.
So they went to Canterlot, where Twilight and Cadance found the entrance to the caves through which they had escaped. Spike was riding Twilight so he could reunite with Rarity right away. They found Rarity and released her from the chrysalis, and then returned her to Ponyville.
And whenever Rarity showed Spike affection, he didn't have to be concerned that it was really Chrysalis. He knew she wasn't coming back ever again. Besides, Chrysalis had never called him "Spikey-wikey".
