Vinyl and Octavia have been exploring an abandoned town in Canterlot that had been mysteriously overrun with an unknown virus and those who were infected did not become zombies or vampires or werewolves, instead the two were watching as humans have been surviving for as long as they could against an even more terrifying nightmare. Sure the two have seen many strange and dangerous creatures in their lifetime in Equestria but what they see out there is much more terrifying than any of the creatures they've seen in their lives could ever hope to be and they hope they will find at least some answers as to where and why these creatures came to be.
