John was overly excited as he made his way towards his cities convention center, his costume completed and covering his form. He had decided he would go to his first con as an Excalibur Prime warframe from Warframe, complete with an Saita Prime Operator's Suit underneath should he remove the helmet or other parts of the warframe costume. However, he had added his own personal touch to the warframe. He'd changed the color scheme from white with gold accents to a blend of an obsidian black and blue with ruby red accents. The LED's and edges of his Targis Prime Armor a bright white while he wore a Pyra Prime Syandana with matching colors to his warframe while the flames were a bright white simulated by a well designed and flowing see through fabric.

Other than these personal touches, John had also made five indentations spread around his chest to hold some very special and unique items. He had looked into making them himself but he couldn't make anything resembling them that was both durable and realistic. Not even the vastness of the internet held the answers to who could make a proper replica for him and his costume. The same could be said for the weapons that John wanted to go with his costume as well.

With a deflated sigh, John continued to walk around the convention as countless people grabbed photos with him for the well made costume. After roughly a half an hour of walking among the various booths, one stood out amongst them more than the rest. It was simply a steel door with a sliding panel on the other side just big enough for someone to look out through. Walking up to the strange door of the walled up booth, John noticed that a sign beside that said 'Knock For Business'.

Shrugging his shoulders at the strangeness of the process with how this booth worked, John just brushed it off as someone being in character for the con and knocked. The door was one hell of a prop because he about broke his hand on the first knock, expecting it to be more like a wooden door then thick steel.

Almost immediately after the first knock, the metal panel on the door slid to the side as a pair of bloodshot and angry looking eyes stared back. "Whadya want!?" But before John could reply the booth opened up to the right to show various weapon replicas with a means to feed cash through beneath them should someone want to make a purchase. "Well don't just stand there, buy somethin'!!!"

Completely forgetting about the man running the booth and how strange he was acting, John found himself staring in disbelief at three of the weapon replicas the man had for sale. One was a Silva and Aegis Prime, another a Paris Prime, and the last was a Spira Prime. As soon as he saw the total price for all three was less than $300 John grabbed his wallet, fed the required amount of cash beneath the replicas, and grabbed them as the simple locks around them released. As soon as he had all his purchases in his grasp, the booth closed back up into itself and the metal panel slid shut. "Pleasure doin business, now scram!"

As soon as the whole ordeal was over the weapon replicas found their homes on John's costume. The Paris Prime found itself holstered across his back, the Spira Prime were holstered on his upper thighs, and the Silva and Aegis Prime found itself attached to his left forearm. Now all he needed were five specific items...

Almost as if the man at the next booth heard his thoughts, he began to speak. "You know, I might have just what you're looking for Tenno. Something only fit for a warrior such as yourself!" Turning his attention to the one speaking John found himself looking at a man dressed as the Merchant from resident evil. He just stood behind a simple table with various display cases around him. The man only drew him closer as he pulled out an ornate and large jewelry box that once opened, revealed what John needed to complete his costume. "The Void has chosen to gift you these five tokens, a sign of a new 'Grand Master of Tenno'..."

Without even waiting for his next breath John seemingly appeared in front of the man from his excitement. "HOW MUCH!?"

The man gave a smile that showed way to much teeth that should John have been unoccupied with the items just within his grasp, he would've ran as far from that merchant as humanely possible... "$50." The merchant held out his hand, waiting for the money for the exchange to be made.

"DEAL!" Quickly tossing the man the last of his funds for spending at the booths at the convention, John was pulled from his joy at obtaining the last of his required items for his costume when the five Greater Lenses of the Five Great Tenno Schools flew from the jewelry box to float around him.

While he stared in shock and awe at the floating lenses, the merchant began to speak once again. "A pleasure doing business, friend." The lenses than began to spin around him faster and faster, seemingly releasing a dark energy around him. "Now, embrace the void..." As soon as the merchant finished, the lenses slammed into their proper places upon John's costume.

And with the blinding light that followed, so did darkness...

Canterlot Castle, City of Canterlot and capitol of Equestria
Midday Court

With an exhausted sigh Celestia denied yet another noble their ridiculous request that would only further aid them while hurting those not of noble birth. As the noble began to make their way out with a scoff for the next noble waiting outside, she found herself just wishing something interesting would happen so she could cancel court for the day...

As if to answer her prayers, as soon as the doors shut to give Celestia a moment of reprieve before the next pony seeking an audience with her entered, a bright flash of light appeared in the middle of the throne room. Celestia shielded her eyes from the blinding light alongside her guards. Once the light was gone, everypony opened their eyes and gasped at what they saw before them. There laying on the ground was somepony within elegant armor, covering them entirely from head to hoof. While Celestia stared at the mystery pony that seemingly appeared within the castle out of nowhere, her guards had a different response.

The first to draw their weapon and raise it towards the armored pony was the captain of the Solar Guard, Glimmering Shield. The guards followed their captain's lead and began to approach the mysterious pony cautiously. They all stopped when they heard the pony speak.

"Ugghhh... Did anyone get the license plate number of the semi that hit me?" John slowly got onto his feet as he brought a hand to rub his head to soothe the pain in his head. But before he could complete this action he noticed something, strange, as his hand went past his vision. He had a hud within the helmet of his costume! John went to remove his helmet to see why this change occurred when a feminine voice spoke up.

"Hands where I can see them, stranger!" The voice commanded as John looked towards the owner of said voice. When his eyes met their's through his helmet all sense of logic within his brain ceased to exist.

"What the fuck...?" John.exe has stopped working, please contact a qualified individual to evaluate and fix the problem. While John was busy dealing with the current mind fuck, he absently took in the features of the female before him. She was roughly 5'4", had white...fur as well as a three toned blue mane and tail. She had a horn protruding from her forehead as well as a short muzzle. The... female, wore purple and golden armor with a strange symbol of a shield and stars on the breastplate.

John's brain was probably broken for a good solid ten minutes before he came back to reality. Those whole ten minutes of silence and lack of movement on his end left the guards to surround him while Glimmering Shield began to tap him on the head with her short sword. "Uhhhh... Anypony home in there?" Even Celestia was beginning to make her way to him, however while her guards were cautious and confused, she found herself curious and concerned.

But before anypony could make anymore moves to get John to respond to them, he suddenly came back to and yelled in surprise at the sudden appearance of the blade tapping his head. "AHHHHHHH!!!" As soon as John screamed he jumped into the air and over the guards behind him, however something was different now. "Hey, where'd my hud in my helmet go?" John then saw that his costume was still in the middle of the stunned guards who were looking at him in surprise. "When the hell did I take off my warframe..."

However John was not given a moment to continue questioning what the fuck just happened as he was forced to void dash away from the thrust of a spear by one of the guards. "HALT!" The guards continued to try and corner or subdue him, but John's freaking out mind was letting his instincts take the wheel.

After a few minutes of the guards failing to apprehend John, a loud and commanding voice made itself known for the first time during the whole encounter. "THAT'S ENOUGH!!!" Celestia commanded everypony to stand down with the Royal Voice, all the guards including John stopped and turned to the angry mare.

Though John's mind was still somewhat freaking out about what he was seeing around him, the mare's command helped bring back some logical thinking to his brain. He began to see how all the creatures around him were anthropomorphic ponies, but with a twist. Some seemed like they were from a fairy tale when he saw the pegasus and unicorn look alikes around him. However the most mind boggling pony in the room was the one walking down from her thrown towards him. She was around 6'5" with an alabaster coat making her just about an inch taller than himself, her mane and tail seemed to flow as if they were in the wind with some of the colors of the rainbow, and she had both wings and a horn. The, what he assumes is a mare at this point given their similarity to horses, was wearing a regal and flowing white dress with an emblem of the sun emblazoned on her hips. The dress did wonders at showing off her hourglass figure, somewhat large rear, and easily D-cup sized breasts.

Shaking his head to regain his senses from the beautiful mare approaching him, John's mind began to ease on it's own as memories and information began to flood his mind. Within seconds he was recalling all of his training and life as a Tenno, both before and after the fall of the Orokin Empire. He now fully understood that his costumes were now the real deal and found the training he was remembering aiding him in remaining calm now. "Sorry about freaking out there for a moment, but I was surprised to find myself here let alone looking at creatures I've never seen before in my life."

The mare stopped in front of John as she tilted her head in confusion at his statement. "How could you have not seen a pony before in your life? Where do you hail from?"

"Does the name Earth ring any bells to you?" Alarm bells were going off again for John. He had a horrible feeling he wasn't on Earth anymore...

"I can't say it does, but if it helps you get an idea of where you are now, you're in Equestria." She then gestured to the room around her. "More specifically Canterlot Castle of the city of Canterlot."

Well shit... John now knew he was definitely not on Earth anymore, for the words Equestria and Canterlot brought forth memories of a certain TV show back home. I can't believe I somehow ended up in the world of My Little Pony! Taking a deep breath to help him keep calm, John returned his attention to who he now knew as Celestia in front of him. "By any chance, are you Princess Celestia?"

This caused the eyes of the mare to widen in surprise. "How do you not know what we are or where you are, yet you know who I am?" The guards around the room began to draw their weapons at John again, becoming very suspicious of him and why he was there.

Ignoring the actions of the guards around him, John reached to the back of his neck and released the seal on the helmet of his operator suit. While it opened up like a flower he kept his eyes closed as the ponies around him all let out a gasp in shock when they saw he wasn't a pony, let alone a creature they knew at all. As he slowly opened his eyes to stare into Celestia's, he began to speak with much deeper meaning as he could feel the void energy within him seeping out of them. "Because, Princess, when one becomes one with the void it tells them many things..."

As soon as those words left John's mouth, Celestia summoned a full suit of golden plate armor, a rather intimidating halberd with the head looking similar to a sun in design. However the most intimidating aspect of the deadly weapon was how it seemed to be covered in flames as if the sun was truly part of its creation. Celestia's horn glowed as she surrounded the throne room within a golden barrier to keep all occupants within. "Guards! Prepare yourselves, any being from the void is extremely dangerous and can be unpredictable."

The guards around John, which consisted of twenty guards plus Celestia and the mare that had originally approached him, pulled the shields from their backs and circled the Tenno. They made a formidable shield wall with their spears pointed through the gaps. Though they were only able to encircle half way around John, they were in the way of him running from the other guardmare and Celestia. "You know, all of this really isn't necessary." John gave a friendly chuckle at how the ponies were reacting, however what he said next wasn't very tactful for the current situation. "Shouldn't you be more worried about Nightmare Moon's return within the week?"

Barely avoiding the downward slash of the flaming halberd, John immediately went into void mode, effectively making himself invisible and intangible. As he floated himself above the ponies, still in void mode, he could see the fireballs for eyes on Celestia as her mane and tail turned into flames as well. "I will not let another demon of the void reek havoc on my subjects!" Her halberd had left a small crater on the marble floor, cracks stretching a couple feet away from the impact zone.

Deciding it would be the best bet for his own safety to stay in void mode till the enraged alicorn calmed down, John began to try and convince the mare he was no threat. "True, almost all who enter the void are either driven mad, die or even become consumed by terrible beings." He then appeared before Celestia, quickly making a mental connection with her as his hand grasped her horn. As both their eyes glowed a bright white, John began to show her his memories of when he was just a child lost into the void with his family like many others. "When I was nothing but I child, I was forced into it with others. While all of the others who weren't a child went mad and hunted us children, we instead remained as ourselves but different..." He then showed her how even though the others of his kind, driven mad by the influence of the void, the other children and himself restrained them until they could leave the void and return home. Celestia was then shown some of his memories before and after the fall of the Orokin Empire. She saw the horrors created by the Orokin and how they betrayed the Tenno before her. He had only scraped the surface of what he has faced and witnessed, but he hoped it was all that was needed then and there.

Within seconds the connection was dropped as it served its purpose and as John removed his hand from her horn he was surprised by what happened next. Unsummoning her weapon and armor, once again in her regal dress from before, Celestia pulled the Tenno into her arms. If it wasn't for the Tennogen Virus coursing through his veins as well as the power given to him by the void, John would've been crushed by the shear force of the hug.

While the guards stared at Celestia hugging John in confusion, the princess cast a spell on all those present to show them what John had shown her. All of the guards held sympathy for what the man endured as a child and were awed by the powerful Tenno he had become. However, the guardmare from earlier joined the princess in hugging him as tears flowed from her own eyes as well. John was struggling to hide the blush forming on his face in embarrassment as the two beautiful mares embraced him.

After some time the two mares embracing him finally felt they had done so for long enough, releasing him as they tried to make themselves presentable yet again. It was almost impossible due to the water streaks in their fur from the tears and the puffy eyes. John gave them both a gentle smile, thanking them for their concern for what he had endured at such a young age and afterwards. "I appreciate the concern and support, but that was a long time ago and I've already come to terms with it." His smile then vanished as he once again became serious, his operator suit closing as he phased back into his warframe. "But we have more important matters to discuss, mainly how I believe I can remove the void demon from your sister..."

A few minutes later...

Once the guards were sworn to secrecy for the time being of the Tenno, they all returned to their stations and ensured the princess and warrior would have the privacy needed to talk to one another. The guardmare that hugged him stayed by the princess's side, who John later learned was Gleaming Shield and Captain of the Solar Guard. Celestia had brought them to the privacy of her private study, allowing them the time and chance to learn more of each other and to devise a plan of action for the return of Nightmare Moon.

John was currently sitting on a rather large loveseat, the thing almost eating him with how soft it was. He had once again used transference to exit his warframe as it was left behind the chair. He sat across from Celestia who sat in another loveseat with a coffee table between them with a full tea kettle and two cups. Gleaming Shield stood beside her charge, a statue as she performed her duty though John's presence and the privacy seemed to make her somewhat more relaxed.

Celestia was taking in John's features with more detail and interest without the warframe now that they were in a more relaxed setting. He had short obsidian black hair with ruby red banes and somewhat spiky hair style. His eyes, though they gave off a white glow and mist of powerful void energy, were a deep sapphire blue with ruby red irises. Celestia found it intriguing how somepony could have their eyes be anything but white with various colors for irises, it was rare across most if not all species of Equis. However what drew in her attention to detail the most was the rest of the John's face; while his skin was slightly tanned there were various bits of metal sticking out of it and scarring with a obsidian black and ruby red crown on his head. Though his face had slight scarring around his right eye, Celestia found herself mentally fawning over how handsome he still looked. "What caused such harm to your face?"

John finished his sip of tea, enjoying the flavors he had learned to be of a Zebfrican brew from Celestia, before reaching a hand to feel his face. He had not realized it until now, but it seems he had somehow gotten the somatic implants and transference scarring he had given his Operator in Warframe. "The strange scarring around my right eye was caused by the initial experiments around Transference, the means by which we Tenno are able to operate our warframes." He then pointed to the bits of metal around his face. "The metal is from some implants needed for me to use the Somatic Link more effectively, which is the means by which we use transference."

When Celestia heard experiments, she began to frown as she sympathized for the Tenno once again remembering he had endured such horrible things as nothing more than a child. While she was lost on her own thoughts Gleaming took it upon herself to ask a question of her own. "Are you royalty back home or is that not a crown on your head mister... I just realized we never got your name!" Celestia was brought out of her thoughts and began to sheepishly rub the back of her head along with her Captain, both embarrassed by the fact they had forgotten to start with such a simple question.

John just chuckled at their antics, waving off their apologies before they could begin. "It is quite alright! My name is John, and as for your initial question I'd say... yes and no." He began to rub his chin as he thought further on the matter. "I am not in any way royalty, though due to me being the only Grand Master of the Tenno I hold a similar title and power." Before he continued he saw both mares staring at him excitedly, but why they were so excited to learn of his title he couldn't guess. "Though there is only one above me in title and power amongst the Tenno, I still hold great respect amongst my people and they would gladly follow me to hell and back if need be."

"And what makes you a Grand Master amongst the Tenno, not to mention the only one?" Gleaming Shield's tail was swaying excitedly as she could only guess the title involved his ability in combat, something she was hoping to see for herself.

Finishing his first cup of tea and receiving another via Celestia's magic, John thanked her before answering the mare. "Though I have risen above the ranks of my peers due to my experience with our weapons, gear, and warframes, it is mainly due to the fact I have mastered the five Great Tenno Schools." John then gestured to the five Greater Focuses Lenses embedded around his armor, though now that he looked at them in more detail he could see they were more finely embroidered and held strong traces of void energy. " The five schools are; Unairu, Madurai, Naramon, Zenurik, and Vazarin. Each are a special way to use and focus our void energy, manipulating it in new ways to benefit ourselves and others or to effect our enemies." He then took another sip of his tea, seemingly unable to get enough of the delicious concoction. "Using one of these schools I hope to aid you against Nightmare Moon in the coming days."

Celestia became more focused on the task at hand with that comment, pushing aside all her questions for now as she waited to hear how this strange and ominous being planned to save her sister. "And how do you plan on accomplishing this?"
