Trying To Stop Somebody From Jumping
Fluttershy was at her cottage one day after going to see her therapist for an hour, she had just talked about what was bothering her and why she still had the need to cut, she was making progress but she still had a lot of problems, she was glad that she was done for the day as she didn't want to hear about it anymore until tomorrow.
Fluttershy knew that if she had the urge to cut she would have to try finding another way to cope as she had been trying to do but had no luck so far, she had to find one as it would most possibly help her from stopping her self harm issues.
She knew if she started to feel frustrated and wanted to cut she would go to one of her friends talk to one of them as that seemed to work as well, she hoped she didn't start after the session had ended as she felt like she had made some progress.
Fluttershy hated thinking about her problems but she couldn't deny them either she had to find our another way in order to deal with her problems as the therapy wasn't working quite well, she had talked to Celestia numerous times about her problems but comfort and understanding was the only thing that Celestia and her friends could give her.
She knew looked at her arms and her old and new scars, she hated going out in public like this as everybody stared at her all the time and it upset her as it looked like some people thought that she was a freak for cutting, she hated to think that they felt like that but she also knew that it was true.
She paced back and forth in annoyance as she thought about the lack of any real progress existed as a problem to her, she didn't need any of this extra stress either as it was pushing her to her limits. She just wanted to stop hurting herself and she wanted to stop being a burden.
She felt as if she was a burden as she pushed her problems onto her friends every day even if they were doing better than her, she hated herself for ruining their happy moments, she kept thinking about what a waste her own life was and how it was never going to get better.
She wished that she could just end it all so that she wouldn't have to worry anymore and she would t have to hurt herself anymore, she knew that the easy way left was suicide and she feared the prospect of doing that. She needed to find out if she wanted to keep on living as a burden or take the easy way, That was the question she asked herself.
She knew that if she committed suicide her friends would miss her and plus she knew that it would be selfish of her for doing that but she really didn't want to live anymore, she looked at a picture of her friends, if she did end her life she would be leaving great friends behind and that would sadden her friends.
She didn't want to upset her friends but she just couldn't go on anymore, she debated on what to do with herself, she finally decided that she needed to end it all so she left her house and walked to the cliff at the edge of the town, she found the cliff and debated with herself if she really wanted to go through with it.
She looked down and saw that a fall from that height would kill her, she knew that she just could not go on living with all the sadness inside her but she knew that suicide would make her friends mourn for her. She thought about what to do for several moments and that was when someone slowly approached her but stopped and stayed back from her.
"Fluttershy please don't do what I think your going to do, just think about the consequences of doing this, a lot of people will miss you, I will be devastated if you do this, do not jump okay? It's not worth it and you will hurt lots of people if you decide to end your life here." Twilight said.
Fluttershy thought about Twilight's words and tried to deny them as she was trying to decide to kill herself, she looked over her shoulder at Twilight and then looked at the deep chasm of the cliff. She felt as if Twilight couldn't tell her what to do.
"You don't have any say over what I do Twilight, I know this will impact my friends very heavily but this is my choice and I am the only one you can make this decision." Fluttershy stated calmly.
"Fluttershy it's not worth it, it's the most worst and heartbreaking solution to a problem that can be fixed with care and understanding. I don't want to loose you and neither do your friends!" Twilight exclaimed. Fluttershy stared at the chasm as she thought over Twilight's words.
Twilight inched slowly to Fluttershy as she hoped to save her before she fell out of reach if she did take the leap. She didn't want to loose her friend, she franticly tried to come up with reasons for Flutterhsy not to jump.
"Don't jump Fluttershy! Just don't do it, we would miss you and talk about you constantly, just don't jump!" Twilight said getting worried.
"You don't care about me so why do you care about me killing myself? I'm not worthy of living so I must end my life, I have no use and I'm pathetic so why the hell should I care about my life!?" Fluttershy said, Twilight rubbed her hair in frustration.
"I do care about you! You and me hang out a lot and we go everywhere together! You should care about your life as you have friends and family that care about you! Your a sweet gentle person which is why you are worthy! Don't call yourself unworthy as it's not true! Please don't do it Fluttershy!" Twilight said as she was breathing erratically as she started to cry for her friend.
Twilight knew that she needed to get Fluttershy to understand that she didn't need to kill herself, she tried to say everything that could convince her but nothing did, what did she have to do to convince Fluttershy it wasn't worth it? She tried to think of a reason and she tried to think of it quickly as Fluttershy thought about jumping. Twilight finally came up with a reason.
"Do you remember that day when all six of us went to a lake, it was warm and you and me were swimming with the rest of our friends?" Twilight asked Fluttershy. Fluttershy nodded hesitantly as she did remember that day but she knew that there would be no good reason that could come from this to stop her from jumping.
"And do you remember saying that it was the second best day of your life because we were there with you?" Twilight asked her. Fluttershy nodded
"And do you remember that your first best day of your life was meeting me and the rest of our friends and that you would never want to throw out your relationship with us." Twilight said, Fluttershy nodded as she wondered where Twilight was going with this.
"Well then if you kill yourself today you would be throwing out the possibility of having days similar to that day with us and you would also be throwing out every possible chance of hanging out with us! You would break our hearts and your neighbors hearts. You would be hurting us! So please don't do this! Don't hurt us and don't throw out all of the memories you can make with us still! Please Fluttershy!" Twilight said.
Fluttershy knew that Twilight was saying was right so she decided that killing herself wasn't worth it and she turned around and leaped into Twilights arms and hugged her. Twilight was relieved as she let out a relieved sigh.
"You are perfectly right Twilight, I don't want to throw those possible memories away and I don't want to make you or my friends miserable as I love all of you, I'm sorry for even thinking about killing myself." Fluttershy said.
"Don't worry about it Fluttershy I'm just glad that you saw the truth." Twilight said. They both walked home as they were both happy that Fluttershy didn't end her life. Fluttershy told her therapist what happened and they tried to increase the help Fluttershy was getting they also increased surveillance of her but after hearing Twilights testimony of what she told her they knew that Fluttershy was safe for now
