The Smokey Mountains-1674
-Indigenous Ponies report a giant bat like creature swooping across the night sky
-They also report seeing two glowing red eyes and hearing a loud howling
Lost Tapes- Ahool
4:56 p.m.
It opens with a white colored unicorn with a mix of white and pink color for her mane and tail turning the camera towards her two friends one a orange colored Pegasus with a purple main and tail and the other a yellow earth pony with a red color mane and tail and to top it of she had a bow on the top of her mane
"Whoa Sweetie where did you get that." the Pegasus asked her friend while walking towards her
"Rarity got it for my birthday I thought it would be fun filming ourselves when we earn our cutie marks.
"That's a great idea." the earth pony said to her
"Thanks Applebloom." then she pointed the camera up to the sky and saw it was getting dark already
"Come on lets head to the Ghastly Gorge before it gets too dark out." Sweetie said to her friends
"Yea we should come on Scootaloo." Applebloom said
In the summer of 2015 three life long friends decide to go out and film themselves as they tried to earn their cutie marks but little did they know what they were about to experience was something far more terrifying then they could ever have imagine.
These are their tapes
5:15 p.m.
As the three made their way towards there destination Applebloom realizes some thing
"Oh no I didn't tell Applejack where i was going, oh she going to be so mad."
"Come on Applebloom where your sense of adventure." Sweetie Belle said from behind the camera
"Yea what are you too scared." Scootaloo said to her friend
"No." Apple Bloom told them
"Then come on and catch up." Sweetie Belle said
6:00 p.m.
"How far is it my hooves are getting tired." Sweetie said from behind the camera as she filmed the woods they where currently walking through
"We're almost there just a little more way to go."Scootaloo said to her friends
"That what you said 30 minutes ago." Apple Bloom told her
"Hey I know Where I'm going have you ever been there before." Scootaloo snapped at her
"No but I think I should have stayed home." Apple Bloom said to her friend
"Well maybe then I wouldn't have to deal with your whining all the time." Scootaloo said up close to her friends face
"Girls come on stop fighting it's not that big of a deal." Sweetie said to her two friends
Just then they where interrupted by what sound like a loud howling sound
Dr. Whooves ( Expert Cryptozoologists )
"Named for its distinctive call A-hool , is said to live in the deepest rain forests. It is described as having large red glowing eyes, large claws on its forearms, which are approximately the size of an infant, and a body covered in gray fur. Possibly the most intriguing and astounding feature is that it is said to have a wingspan of 3 m (10 ft). This is almost twice as long as the largest known bat in the world, the common flying fox. "
"It has been sometimes compared to the now extincted pterosaur on the count of its leathery wing." Dr. Whooves said
Once the loud howling stop, they all stopped and took a look around their surroundings before Sweetie asked
"What was that?"
She then moves the camera around her surrounding area looking for the source of the noise that was heard
"it was probably just a bird." Scootaloo said
"I know what birds sound like and that was defiantly not one." Apple Bloom said
"Then what was it then." Scootaloo said to her friend
As they talked sweetie belle notice something in the tree and panned her camera up to the top of the tree only to spot two red glowing eyes peering through the leaves then she heard her friend called to her
"Come on Sweetie Belle we're going." Scootaloo said calling out to her
She then panned her camera back up to the tree and the eyes we're gone.
7:15 p.m.
"Come on Scootaloo it's getting dark out we should be heading back."
"But what about our cutie marks?" Scootaloo asked her
"We can come back again tomorrow." Sweetie said from behind the camera
"Alright fine lets head back." Scootaloo said defeated
Then the same howling sound they heard earlier returned but it was louder this time
"There that sound again I wonder what it is." Sweetie said
"It doesn't matter let's head home." Apple Bloom
Then all of a sudden something large flew over there head knocking them to the ground and the camera out of Sweetie's hooves as the camera laid on the ground side ways it shows the three foals confused and scared
"What was that?" Sweetie yelled out
"We should go now." Apple Bloom said to her friends "Come lets go."
As they got up, Sweetie rushed over and grabbed the camera and ran with her friends.
8:00 p.m.
"Come on you guys were almost out of the woods just a bit farther." Apple Bloom told her friends as they continued to run
Then they heard the howling again but it was getting closer then all of a sudden it stopped.
"Is it gone." Scootaloo
"Let me check." Sweetie said
She than pans her camera up to the nearest tree and there on the camera she saw the what was chasing them which looked like a giant bat with glowing red eyes and it was staring right back at her. At this point the other two saw the red glowing eyes and at that point they just ran through the woods out of fear and for their own safety. As they ran through the woods and away from the creature that, they think, is now chasing after them.
8:55 p.m.
They were all scared to death by now as they reached the exit to the woods which at this point sweetie dropped the camera as it lays on it side and films the three friends as they stopped and tried to catch their breaths. then Apple Bloom was the first one to break the silence.
"What was that thing?" Apple Bloom yelled out
"I have no idea, but I think were safe for now." Scootaloo said to her
"Guys..." Sweetie said to her friends
"Yea what is it Sweetie." Scootaloo said
"I think it saw me." Sweetie said
"What makes you think that." Apple Bloom asked
"Cause it was looking directly at me when I saw it with my camera." Sweetie told them as she walked towards the camera
As she went to pick up the camera, she heard a loud howling and in the field of the camera something big and fast grabbed her and flew off the screen of the camera with her friends calling out her name. The tape ends there.
The following morning a search team was sent out to find the missing foal. After hours of searching they manage to locate her inside a cave 5 miles from where she was allegedly taken. Though badly scratched and bruised, miraculously she was still alive. To this day she suffers from night terrors, but refuse to talk about what had happen to her that night. Thought the authorities manage to find traces of feathers inside the cave, they never did find the creature that terrorized the three girls that night, leaving all of us to wonder....

1768- Foal reportedly dragged into the river, the body was never found.
Lost Tapes-Kappa
In 2014 husband and wife Sky Stringer and Vapor Trail went on a overnight camping trip with their friends Angel Winds and Surprise. Because the four of them never get to hang out anymore Sky Stringer decided to video tape the trip. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation for the four friends turned into something far more deadly than they could ever have been prepared for.
These are their tapes
Sky turns on the camera and checks make sure it has a full battery.
"Well it seems the camera is all good to go, what do you guys think?"
Sky then pointed the camera at the three other ponies.
"I don't get why your so keen on filming this. In a year or so your not going to care about this." Surprise said
"I like it, it'll give me something to show my fiancee how much fun we had. It's too bad that he had to miss this because he came down with the flu." Angel Wings said with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, what do you think Vapor." Sky said
"I think you're trying to much to impress me." Vapor said teasing him "Well I'm going for a swim anypony care to join me?"
"I'm fine." Surprise said
"No thanks." Angel said
"Not now." Sky said from behind the camera
"Man, your a bunch of wimps." Vapor said as she headed towards the river.
Sky then filmed Vapor as she went into the river to enjoy a nice swim. The camera then was turned off
30 minutes later
The camera was then turned on as it filmed sky inspecting it. Seeing that it was on and filming he turned the camera to Vapor who is currently swimming in the deeper part of the river.
"Come on Vapor it's time for lunch, I think it's time for you to come back to shore." Angel yelled to her
OK!" Vapor yelled as she began to swim back to shore. As Sky turned the camera towards the campsite where Surprise is currently cooking lunch. He heard Vapor scream and then turned the camera back towards her
"Are you ok." Sky called out to her
"I'm fine." Vapor said calling out from across the river "I just felt something touch me that's all."
"It was probably just a fish." Angel said laughing a little
He kept the camera on Vapor as she swam back, he felt relived, then all of a sudden she started to scream
"Something just swam under me!"
"What was it?" Sky asked
"I don't know!" Vapor yelled sounding scared
Hey what's that's? Angel said as she pointed her hoof at a big wave began to approach vapor from the other side of the river at a very fast speed
"Vapor get out of there!" Angel yelled to her friend
"Come on Vapor keep swimming!" Sky yelled from behind the camera
As the camera cut back to where the wave was it was gone. Think it was gone the camera went to look back at Vapor who had stop swimming and was looking around. Then all of a sudden she let out a screamed as something pulled her under the water.
"Vapor!" Sky yelled
Doctor Whooves (Expert Cryptozoologist)
"The kappa is typically depicted as roughly humanoid in form and about the size of a child. Its scaly reptilian skin ranges in color from green to yellow or blue. Kappa supposedly inhabit ponds and rivers of foreign countries, and have various features to aid them in this environment, such as webbed hands and feet. They are sometimes said to smell like fish and they can swim like them.
Although their appearance varies from region to region, the most consistent features are a beak, a shell, and a plate, a flat hairless region on the top of the head that is always wet, and is regarded as the source of the kappa's power. This cavity must be full whenever a kappa is away from the water; if it ever dries out, the kappa loses its power and may even die. While they are primarily water creatures, they do on occasion venture on to land."
"Vapor!" Sky screamed as he filmed her getting pulled under the water.
He then drooped the camera as it records him swimming out to the part of the river where she got pulled under and dove underneath to try to fine her, just as Angel and Surprise entered the frame of the camera, hoping their friends were ok. Then Sky sudden appeared out of the water and swam back to the shore.
"What happen where is she?" Angel said fearful.
"She's gone, I can't fine her anywhere under there." Sky said crying into his hooves.
"She couldn't just have disappeared she gotta be around here somewhere!" Surprise said.
"We got go back and get help, it's better than just sitting here and doing nothing " Angel suggested as the other two agreed with her.
As they went to leave Angel went and picked up the camera and joined the others as they search for their lost friend.
Two Hours Later
As the ponies trekked across the rough terrain they finally reach the edge of the river only to fine that it connects to another one.
"Come on we just got to cross this river and then hopefully we'll be near where we came in. " Sky said
As both Sky and Angel made their way across the river. Angel aimed the camera at her friend who began to swim towards the two.
As Surprise swam across the river to meet up with the other two, Angel heard what sounded like a low growling sound and panned the camera over to the right of the river and saw a small wave coming towards her friend.
Then the wave approached Surprise, she let out a screamed as she was pulled under the water.
"Surprise!" Sky yelled as he attempted to run into the river he was stopped by Angel who said
"Sky there's nothing we can do she's gone."
"What the hell was that thing." Sky said
"I don't know but we gotta get out of here, come on." Angel said as she helped Sky up to his hooves
The two ponies continued to run across the creek. Then Sky lifted the camera up as the sight of dry land is in front of them and all they need to do to reach it was swim across one more river.
"Angel look at me, when I give the word swim, were going to swim as fast as we can across the river and once we reach land we're going to find help, ok." Sky said to Angel "Here give me the camera."
As Angel gave the camera to Sky he put the camera on Angel and said "Are you ready?"
"Yeah." Angel said with fear in her voice
"Ready. Set. " Sky started to say "Now!"
Then Sky held the camera close to him as him and Angel began to swim across the river. The camera, now pointed behind Sky is capturing a large wave approaching them as they continued to swim, but as they approached the shore the wave suddenly disappeared from sight. The two finally made it to shore as Sky looked at the camera and then pointed it at Angel, who also smiling gratefully thanking that this nightmare was finally over, but the moment was ruined when they suddenly heard a growl come from behind them, as he turned the camera towards the sound, something attack them and all the camera caught was the two ponies screaming.
The tape ends there
After going missing for nine hours Sky Stringer brother called the authority and manage to get together a search party. After five hours of searching they mange to locate Angel Winds at the edge of the river eight and half miles from the campsite, miraculously she was still alive. She was treated for a broken leg and cuts that stretched across her back. She was eventually reunited with her fiancee, but vowed never go back to the river again. The bodies of Sky Stringer, Vapor Trails, and Surprise were never found. But strange footprints were found at the abandon campsite that led into the the river. Was the terrifying footage that was filmed that night evidence of rare crocodile attacks or is something truly deadly living in the rivers of Seaward Shoals? Are these creatures real or a figment of our wild imagination?
Leaving all of us to wonder......

After three years I finally return to this story. Thank you all who have been following this story and liked it.
Now I need to ask something of my readers, which creature or creatures should the next chapter focus on and I'm leaving it up to you guys to give me suggestions. It could be creatures we've already seen on Lost Tapes or new ones that haven't been done yet.
If it's a new creature that hasn't been done before, all you have to do is tell me the creature's name and I'll handle the rest. Now if you suggest one that already been used, don't worry about it. I'll be putting my own unique take on it.
