The Founding of Equestria
Once upon a time, many, many years before the rule of the Royal Sisters, there was a small kingdom named Ponyland. In this dark time, ponies didn't know harmony and despised each other. They were divided into three tribes: the Earth Ponies, the Pegasi, and the Unicorns.
They didn't care for each other, except for themselves. The Pegasi, who controlled the weather, demanded food from the Earth Ponies who grew crops on their farms. The Unicorns wanted food as well since they needed energy to raise the sun and the moon. So, distrust formed between the tribes which grew into a conflict sometime later.
What caused this conflict was a blizzard that had hit Ponyland. The Earth Ponies were unable to farm which meant no food for the Pegasi and Unicorns who were freezing thanks to the awful cold. The Unicorns found themselves unable to use their magic against the storm. This only made things worse as the angrier which made the blizzard colder.
And so, at the end of the month, a summit was held in the capital of Ponyland, Unicornia, where the three tribe leaders were to discuss on how to solve the blizzard problem.
The first set of fanfare echoed through the meeting hall in Crystal Rainbow Castle as the first leader entered the hall: the daughter of King Bullion and Queen Majesty, Princess Platinum. She was a unicorn mare with magenta eyes, a light grey-purple mane, and a lavender coat with an amethyst heart with a crown on it as a cutie mark wearing platinum royal regalia and a purple cape.
Another fanfare was blown, the room falling silent as the next leader flew in. It was the ruler and general of the Pegasi, Commander Hurricane. He was a Pegasus stallion with amber eyes, a dark blue mane with lighter blue streaks, and a dark blue coat with a tornado and two lightning bolts as a cutie mark wearing black and gold armor.
The last fanfare sounded and the last tribe leader bounced in: the leader of the Earth Ponies, Chancellor Puddinghead. She was an Earth Pony mare with sea green eyes, a brown mane, and a red-brown coat with a pudding bowl as a cutie mark wearing a yellow hat with a pudding bowl on top, a frilly white collar, a pink and brown dress, and a pink bow on her tail.
The leaders took their seats as Commander Hurricane removed his helmet and placed it on the table while Chancellor Puddinghead did the same with her hat. The balconies of the hall was filled with the ponies from each tribe, standing only on the balconies above each of their leaders.
Almost immediately, an argument broke out among the leaders as they started yelling at each other, triggering the other ponies to do the same.
"Why are all the Earth Pony filth hoarding the food?!" Commander Hurricane demanded angrily, slamming his hoof onto the table.
The Pegasi nodded as they stamped their hooves angrily on their balcony.
"US?! We're only hogging up the food because you Pegasi started this blizzard!" Chancellor Puddinghead yelled.
"For the hundredth time, Puddinghead, it's not us!" Commander Hurricane retorted before pointing to Princess Platinum. "It's those unicorns! They must be doing it with their witchcraft!"
"How dare you, ruffian! We unicorns would not stoop to such a low!" Princess Platinum gasped.
The unicorns glared at the Pegasi and scoffed, pointing their snouts in their air in a snooty manner.
"Well, if you so called 'talented' ponies won't stop the blizzard, I'm out of ideas then." Chancellor Puddinghead shrugged.
"That's not surprising..." Commander Hurricane grumbled in annoyance.
"Stop being brutish, Commander Hurricane!" Princess Platinum commanded the general.
"Nopony orders a commander, your royal snobbiness!" The Pegasus snapped.
"I am a princess! Do not speak to me that way!" The unicorn exclaimed before storming out of the hall.
"Whatever, I'm leaving first." Commander Hurricane said while rolling his eyes and walking towards the doors out.
"No, I'M leaving first!" Chancellor Puddinghead declared as she pushed the Pegasus leader out of the way.
Growling, Commander Hurricane glared at the chancellor and shoved her before flying off. The red Earth Pony soon followed as the blizzard only grew worse.
Knowing that the meeting hadn't gone as planned and now having excuses to blame the other, the three tribe leaders retired to their homes and went to explain the situation for their second in commands.
In the military state of Butterfly Island, high in the clouds
Commander Hurricane was pacing around the front of the armory as various soldiers past him, carrying spears and armor.
"ATEN-TION!" He commanded.
Immediately, his second in command, Private Pansy, flew in. She was a Pegasus mare with yellow eyes, an orange mane with light pink streaks, and a red coat with a purple butterfly with a magenta body as a cutie mark wearing black and silver armor.
"Sir, how did the meeting go?" She asked nervously.
"Ugh, horrible!" Commander Hurricane answered with a groan, flicking aside some snow with his hoof. "Those other tribe leaders don't understand that we are a tribe of fierce warriors not to be trifled and toyed with!"
Back in Crystal Rainbow Castle...
Princess Platinum arrived at her chambers, feeling exhausted from the meeting as she levitated her crown off and placed it on the corner of her couch.
"Clover the Clever! I need your assistance!" She called out before collapsing onto the couch in a dramatic pose.
Immediately, Clover the Clever, the apprentice of the famed wizard and assistant to Princess Platinum's parents, Star Swirl the Bearded, came in while levitating a book. She was a unicorn mare with dark purple eyes, a light green mane with dark green streaks, and a white coat with three sparkling clovers as a cutie mark wearing a brown cloak.
"Right away, your majesty." She nodded before sitting down near the princess to read her book. "Did everything go as I expected?"
"No, they are ruffians! I declare that the unicorns would no longer associate with low class scum such as them!" Princess Platinum scoffed.
Meanwhile, in Paradise Estate, the city hall of Dream Village...
"WHEEEEEEEE!" Chancellor Puddinghead cheered as she jumped down the chimney and landed in front of the fireplace.
"Wouldn't it be easier to use the front door, Chancellor?" Smart Cookie, her assistant, asked her with an annoyed sigh.
She was an Earth Pony mare with light blue eyes, an orange mane, and a light yellow coat with three bitten cookies as a cutie mark wearing a light brown and yellow cap with a feather on it and a light brown and yellow suit with a white collar.
"You may think it's normal and normal, Smart Cookie, but I was elected chancellor for my uniqueness! That includes not using the front door!" Chancellor Puddinghead answered with a grin.
"Ugh..." Smart Cookie groaned as she facehoofed herself.
Suddenly, Chancellor Pudding got an idea as she squealed, "Oh my Faust! I just thought of something brilliant!"
"Not another one of your insane ideas..." Smart Cookie said under her breath.
"I have decided that us Earth Ponies won't get help!" Chancellor Puddinghead declared.
"Aw, so the tribes didn't agree? What a shame..." Her assistant commented in disappointment.
"Don't worry your little head about them. We're the ones with all the food, remember?" The chancellor reassured her.
"There's no food. We can't grow anything with this blizzard." Smart Cookie pointed out.
"Then, we'll find a new land to grow new food!" Chancellor Puddinghead exclaimed.
It was time to find a new land...
