The zebra rule the savanna. They always have, ever since a very long time ago. And though the golden fields are a bounty for the zebra, they are near barren for another.

For as long as all can recall, the zebra have fought the lion. Predator and prey, striking at one another endlessly. The zebra defend their lives and homes, and the lions only attack because there is little else to eat.

A long hate. A very long hate, with thousands of dead. A hate that can never be extinguished.

But once, the lions thought that one of their own would break the zebra's strength, and give them control of the land.

And maybe she would have. But zebras have friends.

And nothing trumps an alicorn.
