That night after making sure the children were fast asleep, Annie and Franklin snuck out into the orchard to do some friendly late night shenanigans including an apple bucking competition. As they ready themselves, they begin to sing. "Any apple you can buck, I can buck faster, I can buck any apple faster than you," sings Annie.

"No you can't" sing Franklin in response.

"Yes I can."

"No you can't."

"Yes I can! Yes, I can!"

"Anything you can be, I can be greater. Sooner or later, I'm greater than you!" sings Franklin.

"No you're not!"

"Yes I am!"

"No you're not!"

"Yes I am!"

"No you're not!"

"Yes I am, yes I am!"

The two break out singing at the same time. "Yes I can!!! No you can't!!!" They then finish it and get back to apple bucking. Annie ends up bucking twenty-nine trees before sunrise while Franklin only gets twenty-five!" He then admits, "Yes you can!" The two then head back inside and plop down on the couch and fall asleep. Annie can do better than him at some things and clearly, apple bucking is no different. That is plain to see now. Franklin just doesn't know why he didn't see it before.
