Chapter 1View OnlineJealousy HeresyChapter 1Chapter 1 Twilight yawned. Celestia's sun softly intruded Twilight's small room. The window was opened a crack and the magenta curtains tied perfectly on each side. Her room was small but cosy, having room to walk down the centre. Her room wore a dark purple paint that absorbed the warm rays of sun. Twilight sat up rubbing her eyes and sighed. She looked onto her bedside table and a humble smile crept along her face. A picture of her in the middle with all 6 friends surrounding her, Looking towards Twilight in the centre. It was a gift they all worked on as a surprise thanking her for everything she's done bringing them together. The last picture she looked at was on Top and the largest. Rainbow Dash. Her Rainbow mane glistening in the warm sun. Her face gleamed with confidence. Her bright half lidded eyes looking directly at Twilight's with a smug, and slightly seductive, smirk on her face. Twilight and her portrait stared into the eyes of Rainbow. Twilight blinked rapidly a few times. A confused look on her face she trotted out of her room and descended down her stairs. Trotting into her kitchen, he horn glowed a deep magenta as her kettle boiled a mug, teabag,sugar,milk all entered her mug. Hesitating forgetting not to put the milk in first, come on Twilight you're better then that… She looked at her fridge containing a to do list of the day. Sort modern history issues 12 to 100 based on release date for celestia. (7-11am) Deliver ingredients for double upside down strawberry cake ( see cooking for singles issue 2. Page 34). (1-2pm) Goto rainbows house for flying lessons. (3-7pm) Try on Rarity’s latest dress made for the summer sun celebration. (8-11pm) Free time (11pm-1am) The kettle popped. Twilight turned to her mug smiling, pouring in the water and adding milk before stirring. Not a bad day ahead of me. Sorting is fun. Getting to see pinkie is always a blast. Flying with Rainbow is scary. Difficult. But satisfying, plus it's a free private wonderbolt show, Twilight giggled to herself. Taking her tea she trotted into the living room. Adjusting to this huge castle was… a challenge, to say the least. She may have lived here for a year now. But was certain she had not seen every room yet. She laid down in her chair and checked the time 6am. Plenty of time. She took a sip of her tea, wincing in the heat. Sorting books. Check. She looked to her to do list, a flash of light revealing a quill. She put the quill in an idk.pot that also appeared and crossed it off the list. She looked lower down and began walking towards the door when suddenly- Flash Starlight Glimmer appeared out of this air with a kite in her mouth. Twilight smiled, not remotely phased by her appearing student, and stared at her. “Good morning Starlight “ Starlight turned.around to face the lavender mare,startled. “Oh, morning Twi” Starlight let a warm smile at Twilight. Starlight looked a mess. Her mane was scruffy and bags were under her eyes. Twilight spoke softly “Hard night? “ she chuckled quietly. Starlight giggled. “Not particularly, just early for me to wake up after a cider night yanno?” Starlight smiled at twilight, looking half asleep, Twilight's expression changed from playfulness to confusion. “Early? It's 11am silly!” Starlight stared with a confused expression and pointed to the large grandfather clock. “It’s 9am Twi… you can create a portal between worlds, but reading a clock too difficult for ya? “ Starlights face lit up with a playful and teasing smirk. “ B...but my schedule said I’d finish at 11… I’m ahead of schedule… but… but… i planned it. Mathematically and psychologically, accounting for me getting faster as my mind wakes up… hmm maybe I made a mistake….” her eyes lit up with fear she paced the room. “... What if i made a mistake on the others…. What if i get less time with Dashie… and… and…” Starlight raised an eyebrow at her. “I thought you were just doing lessons with her? “ after a moment of thinking and noticing a small shade of crimson brush across the alicorns face. The smart, sarcastic and mainly playful pony smirked with half lidded eyes. “Dashie ey? Hmm. Never heard anyone other then pinkie call her that… so you sure she's giving you. Flying. Lessons? Or lessons on Falling? “ Starlight giggled. A confused expression hit Twilight along with a deep blush. “oh come on… Flying. Falling with style? “ Twilight nodded “ Falling. Falling for a pony…. It was a good Joke alright! Jeez…” Starlight rolled her eyes. Twilight stared at Starlight, blushing profusely,” please don’t tell anypony… please… “ she spoke with a slow stutter. Starlight smiled “ Oh twi im just teasing you! I won't tell anypony but if you need someone to talk to. Im here for you and i support you just like all your friends.” Starlight smiled and hugged a smiling Twilight “thanks glim glam” she smirked. Starlight pouted “ you know i hate that name twiggy…” she winked at Twilight. They both smiled and wad to the market. Starlight and Twilight were in a canter towards sugar cube corner. Both saddlebags completely full of ingredients. The bell chimed above the door as the two mares stepped in giggling lightly. “Heya guys! You got my super duper ingredients?” the pink mare bounced vividly towards the two unicorns. “ Yes pinkie, we do” Twilight said as she giggled “ Here ya go! “ the two unicorns opened there saddlebags bags and levitated the ingredients into the kitchen. Twilight's hoof raised halfway “ Hey pinkie can i ask if you know where -” “Heya Dashie! Over here!” pinkie shouted, interrupting Twilight. Starlight nudged Twilight and leaned close and whipped in her ear “oooh. Not just your little dashie is she?” starlight grinned as the two unicorns turned around. The purple one's cheeks a bright and obvious crimson. Twilight grumbled. Trying to hide her blush. “Hey Twi… Pinkie and Starlight” the cyan pegasus blushed lightly. “I. Uhh. Didn't expect to see you two here… Ready for flying later Twi?” the Rainbow maned pegasus grinned towards the two unicorns. “Yeah! Pfft. When is Twilight Sparkle not ready?!” Twilight smirked confidently “ I could.do it right now in fact! Do it for way longer then normal!” Twilight's confidence faded as starlight stifled a giggle and nudged her and whispered “ smooth moves twiggy “ starlight giggled as Twilight blushed deeply. Turning a.dark shade of red. Rainbow giggled “I dunno.what you said glimmy, but Twilight liked it nearly more than our flying lessons! “ Twilight's blush deepened. All 3 mare started laughing and giggling. Expect Twilight who was blushing too hard. Rainbow smiled “oh Twi we’re just teasing ya! Come on! I'd love to go flying early.” she smirked as she turned and trotted towards the door. Starlight winked at Twilight who was bright red at this point. She whispered “ I think Dash likes you too…” Twilight turned to starlight with a raised brow. “ how’d ya know?” Twilight squeaked. “Social calls Twi… Social calls…” Starlight smiled at the purple mare. “Falling in love is easy, but staying in love is the dedication” Twilight smiled at the surprisingly insightful mare. “I love her Glimmer… You seem to be good with this… will you… help me date her…?” Twilight whispered to student who smiled warm heartedly “ Anything for you teach! “ starlight giggled. “ You’re so smart. But i've never seen you so worked up over a pony before. Don't you worry! One mind controlled dashie all yours!” starlight whispered with a smile “Starlight!” Twilight squeaked “Sarcasm Twi, Sarcasm.” starlight jokes. The two unicorns trotted out the store to meet Rainbow who was doing back flips repeatedly before she noticed the attractive unicorn and Starlight. She stopped her maneuvers and landed next to the 2 smiling unicorns. One who was slightly red cheeked, as usual, had a warm smile on her face. “Hey Dash, i know its probably interrupting your busy schedule...” Starlight stifled a laugh “... But i appreciate this so much! I wish i could become as awesome a flyer as you one day…” Twilight light blushes and broke eye contact, her eyes darting around Smooth one princess… you sound like scootaloo… Rainbow smiled and nudged Twilight's shoulder “I dunno about being as awesome a flyer as me…. But you are very a awesome pony… I’m glad to teach ya!” she looked at starlight with a raised brow “How come you're here? I didn't know you could fl-... Nevermind… “ she remembered though the unicorn could literally levitated herself. Rainbow didn't show it, but her eyes did as she looked at twilight. “Is she joining us?” Rainbow said in a lower pitch. Glimmer smiled “Not at all! Dont worry. I wouldn't interrupt some you time when you're learning… “ Starlight smirked at twilight whose face was on fire over the emphasis on you and learning because she knee exactly what she meant. Dash smiled at Twilight. “Well. Let's get to it!” Dash hovered as Twi took off and they flew towards the park. Together. Starlight giggled at the cute couple…. With a slight hint of jealousy… She always wanted someone to care for her… Rainbows athletic figure was propelled by her well defined muscular wings. Twilight stared blushing at the beautiful cyan mare. Rainbow and Twilight took a turn and stopped when reaching the park at there usual bench. Rainbows flank shook as she hit the floor, breaking Twilight’s gaze. Rainbow Dash turned and smiled at the cute, purple mare. There gaze met as they looked eyes and stared into each other's eyes with Passion, wonder, awe and lust. Rainbow Blinked and smiled at Twilight who moments later came through. “S-so… what today?” Twilight stuttered sheepishly. Rainbow swallowed the lump in her throat and spoke with false confidence “Well then… I reckon you could move onto the next stage… “ Rainbow pondered “... Hmm yeah i think so. We can start teaching you some tricks!” Rainbow smiled as she spoke. Twilight giggled with a raised eyebrow and half lidded eyes “I’m not your pet, Dashie…” Twilight spoke with a low tone, which was rather seducing, Not yet… She thought as she felt her body get warm. Dash flushed a bright red as she stammered “Y-yeah I know. Duhh. I-I meant in a good way yanno?” she mumbled “Not that the other one is bad…” Twilight's eyes widened and mouth cocked open “I...I heard that dashie” she looked at the burning cheeked cyan mare “You know, crimson contrasts cyan quite well!” she said in a low tone staring into Rainbows eyes. Play it cool Rainbow… maybe she didn't know what i meant… oh celestia don't scare her. Come on… “Oh?” Rainbow smirked, confidence in her face. “I think cyan goes quite well with magenta… but that's just my opinion” Rainbow smiled at Twilight who was wide eyed and blushing “Hmm. Red suits you too. You’re even more attractive like that” Rainbow giggled. But stopped realising what she just said. Her eyes widened and mouth dropped. Dash!? What was that! Ohmygosh she's gonna think i'm weird and know I like her. Maybe I should run or maybe stay. If i run then if she comes after me it’ll be so romantic and I’ll know she likes me. But if I stay then we could just talk it out and everything would be easier. But awkward. Twilight's eyes were wide and she opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. She tried again, stuttering, “R-Rainbow..? Do you actually think that… I-I’m -” Rainbow leant in and kissed Twilight directly on her snout. Twilight's eyes widened and her face was on fire. Her heart pounded. Her breath quickened. She leant back from the shock but the kiss continued. Her Chest heated. Her mind raced. She pulled away “I...I'm sorry!” and in a flash she teleported away leaving Rainbow alone. Rainbow looked down at the floor. Sighed. And a tear rolled down her cheek. Rainbow gave up all hope and prepared to fly home when a hoof touched her back. Starlight Glimmer was there the entire time. Like she promised Twilight, invisible, and smiled at Rainbow. Rainbow stepped back in shock and stammered “H-how much did you….see?” Starlight smiled and hugged Rainbow tight “ all of it Dash. But don't worry. About Twi…. Do you… like her?” Starlight queried the sobbing mare. “No.” Rainbow boldly stated. Glimmer blinked and winced in shock. “B-but why did you- “ Starlight whined but was cut off by Rainbow “I love her. I like or crush on a cute mare. But she…. She's everything. Kind. Honest. Caring. Passionate. Loving. Loyal. Beautiful. Pretty. Cute and she's insanely attractive. And all I im is a showboating lonely friend… “ Starlight smiled. “Dash. She loves you. She really does. You just need to tell her before you. Yanno? Put her on the spot like that… you know how nervous she can get about something she cares about” Starlight spoke in low and calming tone. She cleared her throat. “Love is complicated Dash. It's something that we as ponies have to find our selves. We learn from experience and gain knowledge through actions. Twilight hasn't had a relationship before. It's not something they teach in school or in a book. I always wondered why. So many young fillies get hurt by young foals and visa versa in relationships because they don't get taught what love is. If they taught them what love is, they wouldn't have so many hurt fillies. But then I realised you can't teach love. Its different for everypony. And so is the way they show love. Everypony looks for something different. But you never know what you look for Until you find it. It's impossible to teach. And Twilight just found out what she's looking for, is also looking for her. And she had no time to think about it. Love is confusing. And so are ponies. “ Starlight smiled warmly and hugged Dash. “Come on Dash. Let's go find your marefriend!” M-Marefriend? This is my first ever fic but I do study English Literature at a high level, so I would really appreciate all constructive criticism to help with further fics and chapters, as well as my school work :) I have no idea how this fic is going to end as I am currently writing chapter 3 and don't imagine to be done soon so please leave any suggestions you may have for endings or future chapters! She blinked twice and after a stutter. Boldly spoke with genuine discomfort. "What." Starlight blinked twice before shaking her head. Dash and Twilight smiled coyly. "Let's keep it simple. Who, What, When, Where and Why." Starlight's voice penetrated through their ears with a deep monotone. "Secret, Pony, An hour ago, at the bistro and well, we thought you might like them as they are very kind and caring a-" "Fluttershy!?" "No no! Not all kind ponies are Fluttershy, Starlight" "No fucking shit Sherlock" Starlight rolled her eyes and began again towards the exit of the room, flicking her tail towards twilight in disrespect. "Starlight please... just give them a chance?" Twilight whined, Starlight turned to face her teacher and apparently Cupid wannabe and raised a brow. "And why, the fuck, should I? You're my teacher! What the fuck do you know about me other then my ability in magic and my in ability to make friends? Just because I'm practically incompetent at meeting and talking to new people doesn't mean I need you two trying to do it for me! I'm literally fucking useless, so don't bother! I'm off to get smashed and binge watch Correneightion street. And if that's a problem to you, why not go and find me some friends, maybe find me a pet too? What about finding me a fucking place in this world? You seem adamant to find me something that I will never get. You pillock." A tear formed in Starlight's eye as she panted heavily. Her mouth opened a little, but blinked away before anything got out. Twilight and Dash's eyes and mouths were agape. They slowly looked at each other with mixed emotions, a dead silence among them. Twilight sighed and let her mouth close before looking at the door, then to dash again. "Dashie..?" Dash's eye narrowed again returning to normal and she gulped before replying. "Uhh, yeah?" Twilight raised a brow, waited a moment, and then spoke softly. "What's a pillock?". Dash smiled and giggled to her self. "Never mind Twi, for now we should try find Glimmer. I think we might have messed up not talking to her first..." As Dash spoke she rubbed the back of her neck and let off an awkward chuckle. "Yeahhh, maybe we should have gone and asked her first before we gave her a blind date, I just felt so bad for her after she started crying that I felt the need to help her getting somepony who can love her. I sometimes think no matter how hard I try with my friendship lessons that in the end it will all amount to her not finding somepony no matter how hard I try. I can't force her to fall in love and I can't force another pony to love her. But putting her onto a date would fill me with false pride." "And how is false pride something good?" Dash queried, slightly annoying Twilight by interrupting her fantastic monologue. "Well, as I've become older and more mature I start to realise how the world isn't and sunshine and laser beams. Sometimes things can't be solved the way or speed you'd like so as I get older I realise how much easier life is if you consider false hope to be accomplishment. If we tell our selves everything will be fine to the point we believe it then we won't stress or worry about the fact it most likely won't be okay. It's kinda like how ignorance is bliss. If you don't know how bad something is you are less likely to feel bad about it. It isn't something good, more of a way of coping with stress. And worrying about Glimmer doesn't help." Twilight took a deep breath and sighed, she hung her head in disappointment. "I feel like I've failed her Dash. I feel like instead of helping I just made it worse." A tear formed in her eye before it disappeared down her face. Dash was insanely confused. To put it simply. 2 mares, who she was very close with both, having upsetting and soppy monologues. She had no idea what to say or even think at this point. Maybe she could have a monologue of her own? Keep Twilight's mind off of everything, it was her duty as her marefriend to keep her beloved happy, so that's what she will do! "Listen, Twi. There is no need to blame your self, it was both of us who came up with the idea. Both of us who asked Sunset to do this. Both of us who persuaded her to do it. So that means it's both of us who should share this problem and both of us, together, to fix it. No matter what happens I will be by your side through all of this and you know that. So what we need to do is talk about this, we've been dating for like 3 hours. But we already have a problem to overcome, but together we have overcame so much with friendship. We now have something so much more powerful, as long as we do things together we can make our wrongs, right. Alright, firstly we need to talk about what we can do and say, no need to rush because she needs time to cool down on her own. She knows her self better then we know her so she'll know what she needs to calm down, bugging her straight away will just annoy her. I know your upset, but for the sake of Starlight, we need to calm down and talk this through, alright?" Dash smiled warmly after taking a deep breath and nuzzled Twilight lightly letting her know what she meant was genuine. Twilight nuzzled back and smirked. "I, didn't know you were such a motivational speaker Dash." She giggled, sniffling a bit before wiping her tears. "Can't say it didn't work though" She giggled a little before kissing Dash lightly before backing away. "So, Miss 'IHaveAPlan', what's the plan?" Twilight raised a brow, the emotion in her voice now emphasising sarcasm more then anything else. Dash rolled her Balls and smiled. "If you had listened to me you'd have heard me say we need to work together to make one because we both caused this." "Both caused this? So... So I caused this? Well guess I'm gonna have to cry now..." Twilight teased smirking at dash with squinted eyes. "Wouldn't surprise me" Rainbow raised a brow and smirked, turning away before she saw Twilight's face go through 3 different emotions of confusion, sadness and happiness. She pouted "Sheesh okay, lets go make a plan, no need to be so savage Dashie!" "That word is like, 3 years old Twi, get with the times" Dash retorted before they both exited the room, Dash's wing over Twilight as a sign of comfort, and protection. Author's Note Sorry this is so late! Especially for how short the chapter is, wanted to power through this chapter this weekend buttt... I had an essay and a tonne of Science work I completely forgot about. Expect shorter chapters but coming out more often. I think now I have the introductory chapters done I can start writing more story driven chapters rather then expository, so I can write more chapters with less words in. I was planning on just making a scene change here. But I am long over due my "monday" quota so I feel obliged to release this. Don't worry, already working on the next chapter! Also I like games, a lot. They don't help with writing :( Sorry!
Chapter 4View OnlineJealousy HeresyChapter 4The sun was setting and the hills around Ponyville began to conceal the sun. The sky was a deep red, turning crimson as Equestria began to slow down. Ponies days began to end as they all settled down with there beloved families as they ate their evening meals. All except Starlight. She trotted around the town looking around, not for anything in particular, just because she felt obliged to. She didn't know what she was doing here, trying to calm down after her huge over reaction of how her friends tried to make her happy? Oh yeah, that was it. Starlight sighed. The warm wind tickled the damp eyed mare as she continued down the sparsely populated streets. The warm and welcoming smell of freshly baked goods invaded her snout and took her hostage. She had to eat, she was starving. As she followed her nose to the source of this mysterious sensory invader, she took the time to reflect on everything. Does she really need somepony to love? She feels quite happy by her self... but so did Twilight, and she's even happier so far. She sighed again. She was coming closer now to the bakery and she began to pay more attention to her other senses, which were a lot less tunnel visioned. She found the story which smelt even better now she was close to it and checked her saddlebag. 40 bits? Damn, since when did I have these bits? I don't even work!.. But really, how do I have this? She shrugged and put the bits back into her saddlebag and entered the bakery. As she entered a little bell chimed and drew the attention of a pale cerise mare with a magenta mane. She recognised the mare instantly and began towards the exit slowly before she was noticed, but sugarbelle had already noticed and comprehended the new customer. Her friend. Starlight Glimmer. "Oh wow! Hey Starlight, what brings you here? Hungry?" Sugarbelle smiled sweetly, she always did have the best smile of her town. "Huh? Oh? Me? Well yeah I guess so heh..." Starlight looked down a bit and moved awkwardly and fidgeting. "Well come on over! You can get a friendship discount! Hehe!" Sugarbelle's smile grew as she giggled a little. Starlight seemed shocked at first, how it was possible for Sugarbelle to consider her as a friend. But also she remembers Sugarbelle's baking to be... different, for lack of a better word. "Ohhh, uh well, I didn't realise you moved to Ponyville... Thought you'd always stay?" Starlight tried to make a different conversation to get out of her situation, to no avail. "Oh yes! I'm sooo sorry I didn't tell you! Come take a seat, I'll tell you all about it. Come on!" Sugarbelle's voice was full of joy and enthusiasm, to Starlight's surprise. Starlight nodded and began to follow Sugarbelle, the bakery was small and sweet, resembling more of pub. Even including TV's showing sports, BUR 2 - 0 CRY. Starlight wasn't too much into football, but she could appreciate watching a game every now and then. They turned a corner as a deep amber coloured unicorn with brilliant amaranth with light apple green stripes. She recognised the pony, it took her a second to realise, after a slightly awkward stare off the two young unicorns realised each others presence. Starlight's brow was raised for a moment, and after a sudden realisation both brows were raised as her eyes widened. Sunset Shimmer had noticed the pony instantly before glancing back down at her paper. After a second she had to double check, and sure enough, her eyes widened in unison with the cute pale magenta mare stood staring directly at her. She couldn't believe that Starlight was here, wasn't she meant to be with Twi and Dash? A smile broke along Sunset's face as she stood up. "Starlight! I uh, didn't expect you to be here... uh how are ya?" Sugarbelle turned around and noticed the two mares staring at each other. Starlight walked over to Sunset with a warm smile. Sugarbelle decided to leave the two mares, they looked happy and in deep conversation. She could speak with Starlight later. Starlight blinked and smiled at the, slightly more attractive then she last remembered, mare. She began towards her forgetting all about Sugarbelle and all her other problems. "Sunset? Wh- Well I didn't expect to see you her either! What are you doing here in Ponyville? Equestira, even?" She spoke warmly and with a comforting tone. She looked towards Sunset, who she didn't remember having red on her muzzle last time they met. Probably she spoke to rarity and got some makeup, hat would explain why she does look... attractive. "Oh, well uhh..." What was she meant to say? That she was here because Twilight wanted them to go out on a date? Did she already know? "Well, I just wanted to see some of my friends ya know? I'm waiting for my 6th form application to come back, so I got nothin' to do." Sunset's voice sounded off, with a bit of discomfort at the question. "Oh, huh that's cool. Well it's great too see you again! I had an amazing time back in uhhh... umm..." "Earth?" "Yeah! That's the one, thanks. Well it was great last time. It's pretty cool to see you back in Equestria for once, you should come more often. And I don't mean it in that way." The two mares smiled and Sunset gave a light giggle. "Since when were you sexual? I thought you were the innocent little student?" Sunset raised a brow as Starlight laughed heavily. After a few seconds she regained composure and apologised to Sunset. "S-Sorry... It's just" She giggled "I'm the LITERAL, opposite of that!" Starlight calmed down and took a deep breath. Sunset raised a brow and smiled. Maybe Twilight was right, and these two had a lot more in common then she had anticipated. "Oh?" Sunset began. "Well maybe Twilight was right when she said we had a lot in common and asked me to come here." Sunset smiled, but it faded into a raised brow of confusion as Starlight's expression changed. "Starlight? What's up?" Sunset walked closer to Starlight. "Oh, sorry, it's nothing. Just Twilight kind of annoyed me and I lashed out at her and now I regret it so I went on a walk to calm down and got this really nice smell invading my muzzle so I came over to try get away from all my problems which kind of worked when I saw you I got lost in your ey- uh conversation and now I just remembered everything" Starlight spoke without stopping and hyperventilated a little. Sunset was a little taken back but closed her mouth as she put her hoof around Starlight and tilted her head. "Oh my, I'm here for ya, what did she do to upset you?" "She found me a date against my will." Starlight looked up to the mare. Who's face she definitely knew wasn't mean to be a deep and shining crimson. "Sunset? You okay?" Starlight thought for a moment. There was a mare who she was quite close with but not very close and came from a different world. Plenty of conversation potential especially with there skill in magic. Similar personalities and whenever they spoke they seemed happy. They wrote to each other every now and then and Starlight always asked Twilight if Sunset would ever some over again. Sunset is in full makeup at 9 pm at night alone. Twilight asked Sunset to come over to Equestria. She just realised what has happened, and she was pretty proud how she figured it out, and everything made sense. "It was you wasn't it..." Starlight spoke quietly and warmly filling Sunset's ears with a slight bit of confidence and compassion. "Well, huh, how did you..?" Sunset began, but finished with a sigh and nodded. She looked up to starlight who had a small smile and hard blush on her face. "You know, I presumed she picked a completely random pony with no similarities to me who seemed nice to them. So I got mad. I also presumed it was a stallion. But now that I know she picked you, I'm not mad. Because to her it makes so much sense. We are pretty close, I always want to go to Earth and you to come here. We both have a similar sense of humour and personality. We both have a skill in magic. We both have a lot to talk about. We both have a great time together. To her it makes sense. And it does to me as well. So, if you don't mind." Starlight looked hesitantly into Sunset's beautiful eyes and swallowed hard. "Turn this night out into a date?" A coy smile found it's way onto the heavily crimson faced Starlight as she tried to hide her nerves. Sunset's emotions took a huge 180. She went from upset, nervous, shy and embarrassed. To happy, confident, bold and carefree. She hugged Starlight into a deep embrace as both the mares giggled. They both went back to the table and took a seat across from each other. The two mares never let their smiles down as they spoke for hours. What felt like 1 hour had been 3. As the two mares finally caught up with each other, Starlight checked the time. "Holy shit! It's 12! How the hell have we been here for 3 hours?" Starlight stood up and looked at Sunset. "Time flies when you're having fun eh?" Sunset smirked at the blushing mare. "Yeahh, yeahh. Not the most fun I've had with a mare. But certainly up there" Starlight grinned lightly at Sunset who blushed a little. Sunset stood up and walked towards Starlight and smiled. "Sooo, how did you find it?" Sunset spoke, her confidence fading slightly. "It was perfect. Thank you." Starlight smiled and then grinned at the coy mare, who had only a few minutes ago been full of confidence and competitive arrogance. Just like her. "Soo, I was just wondering, because I really enjoyed tonight... if you wanted too-" Sunset spoke slowly with a lack of confidence. But the still confident Starlight finished her sentence. "Go on another date?" Starlight smirked as Sunset blushed turned into a burning red "Y-yeah... If you don't want to I totally understand! I know I'm boring and not that attra-" Sunset was cut off by a quick kiss, her eyes widened at the kiss and winced. But very quickly she was pushing into Starlight trying to take control, Starlight had been a pony for longer and her muscles more developed, allowing her to take the control of their first kiss, which she was very proud of. After a minute of pure passion, the two mares left their embrace with deep panting the two mares stared at their lover. Sunset was more athletic, on the other hand so her cardiovascular was more developed, regaining her breath faster she spoke with a hint of sarcasm. "I take that as a maybe?" A smirk grew upon the two mares as they hugged once more. They broke apart and for the first time in 3 hours and a half. Realised they were in a pub / bakery. All the tables were empty apart from one. Which was occupied by two mares. One was a familiar lavender mare and the other was an even more familiar light cyan with a rainbow coloured mane. They were whispering in conversation, but turned after noticing the silence. Sunset and Starlight stared with the deepest scarlet across there face, both sharing the exact same shade of blush. Twilight and Dash smiled at the two shocked mares and stood up. "Finally! You two seriously need to get a room! We've been here for an hour!" Dash joked only to get elbowed by Twilight. "Well, I really didn't expect you two to hit it off that well. Especially after the incident at the castle. But I can not say I'm not extremely excited for you two. But we came here to say sorry to you Starlight, we shouldn't have found you a date without your consent. And just because it worked out so well in the end doesn't mean it was wrong. And me and Dash are so sorry." Twilight smiled warmly and Starlight who was grinning. "Don't sweat it you two, I wayyy over reacted and would have been smarter of me to just talk to you about it instead of flippin' my shit yanno?" Starlight smiled at the two mares who let out a sight of relief. "So what you say we all go to the castle? It's too late for Sunset to go through the portal. And I'm sure Starlight won't complain." Twilight giggled after she spoke and half turned towards the door. "B-But I need to clean my room, It's full of- uhh, stuff?" Starlight hesitated before smiling coyly at the 3 staring mares. Sunset giggled. "And who said I'd be in your room?" Sunset raised a brow as Twilight and Dash failed to stifle a giggle. "Wh- Huh? N-No! I didn't mean it like that! I uhh, well..." Starlight stuttered on most of her words and her deep scarlet turned somehow darker and extended off her cheeks onto her muzzle. Her eyes darted around the room and sighed. "I hate you Sunset" Starlight gave in. "I love you too , Starlight" Sunset teased. The mares all exited the shop after leaving their bills and tips and began towards the castle in the deep night. The stars shined bright and a few constellations could be seen. Especially, Orion's belt. Author's Note Anddd done with this chapter! I put a lot of effort to getting this done. I intended on this being about 1.2k words but I got into a rhythm and didn't want to lose it. I think this turned out well? Starlight now has a date, I feel it came too soon but at the same time I have no idea how many chapters I got left in me. There is at least 2 more I reckon. Then I will start on another story, maybe more Comedy / SoL / Adventure based? I don't know ! But I hope this chapter makes up for the wait last week! Chapter 5View OnlineJealousy HeresyChapter 5Starlight yawned. Celestia's sun softly intruded the empty room. The window was opened a crack and the light pink curtains tied perfectly on each side. Her room was quite empty, excluding her kite collection and the other mare in her bed, it was pretty e- Wait... What..? Starlight turned again and saw the mare in her bed. The same mare she fell in live with last night. The same mare she spent the entire night with getting hammered on Tequila and whiskey. The exact same mare she may have just fucked... Hungover and confused with a mare in my bed with a deep musky aroma. I'd be suprised if this wasnt the 3rd time Sunset had also woken up, but kept her eyes closed as she felt Starlight awake too. She was also extremely confused but didn't plan in making this any more awkward then it already was. Sunset assured her self that even under the devilish influence of Tequila she would not fuck a mare on the first date. But the sight, feel and smell are all pointing towards this, but yet she wasn't upset as she expected to be. She trusted Starlight and if they did do anything. She felt glad it was with Starlight for some reason. She just felt comfortable with her, which right now both mares were still and embracing each other lovingly and she could never feel so much more comfortable. Sunset continued to pretend to sleep as she waited for the beautiful and confused mare to act first, even though she also was confused and perceived to be beautiful by most, other then her self. Starlight was waiting for Sunset to wake up as well so they could deal with the 'issue' together, but after 15 minutes she decided it was best for her to just get up. The mare stretched her limbs and began to creep out of bed to try not awake the mare, although she wanted her awake a moments ago. She decided if Sunset stayed asleep she may just presume Starlight slept somewhere else. A good plan, she thought. She finally managed to exit the bed without making a noise or moving Sunset too much, and she was pretty proud of it, she began towards the door until she was stopped by a noise. That noise was Sunset's voice. "S-Starlight?" Sunset began, stuttering and finishing with a yawn. "Huh? O-Oh, heyyyy~ Sunsettt~" Starlight stammered on her words but not from a yawn. Her cheeks rushed with blood and heated up. Her tone was very obviously suspicious. Not that it mattered, Sunset remembered the entire night. "So... Why am I here and why are you also here? I'm confused..." Sunset bluffed. "Uhhhh well ya see~" Starlight had no excuse, even if one was possible, she was way too hungover and disorientated. "Go on?" Sunset smiled and raised a brow suggestively. "You aren't this dumb, your just teasing me now aren't you. You know EXACTLY what happened" Starlight caught her bluff and sighed deeply. Her cheeks wore a redcoat, like one of those old time photos from equestrians Independence or something. "Meee~? Nooo~" Sunset giggled and stood up, stretching her body and yawning, before walking to the blushing mare. "What would ever make you say that?~" Sunset walked very close to Starlight, feeling her breath. She giggled as it tickled her neck. And even more so when it began to hasten as she got closer. She put her snout to Starlight's ear and whispered sweetly. Twilight's eyes drifted from the abyss of sleep and into the realm of the living. And she couldn't feel more dead. She had no idea how much she drank last night but she was sure it was meant to kill her, mixing Dash's competitive nature and Starlight's un-explainable fortress of a liver was not good for her or Sunset. Twilight sat up, doing so caused a squeak and a huff from below her, she looked down to see Dash being squished under her. Dash's eyes opened and looked to the mare on top of her. For a moment she found it funny, that was until she realised she could not breathe under the weight of the full grown mare resting on top of her, her eyes shooting widened in panic. Twilight noticed her marefriend's pain and withdrew her self from her, giggling lightly in the process. That was until her brain reminded her she had an awful headache. Dash took a deep breath and started panting. "You look like shit" Dash commented after a short pause of them staring at each other. Twilight giggled and smiled, she smirked and raised a brow. "Never were a charmer were you?" She replied with a sarcastic smile, making Dash roll her eyes with a smile. "Still won you tho didn't I?" Dash put her hoof under Twilight's neck and stroked it lightly, receiving a light purr from Twilight in return. "Won me? I'm a pony, not a prize!" Twilight giggled, leaning into Dash's hoof, her purr turning into a slight moan. "You're a prize to me. The Jackpot" Dash closed her eyes and blushed, pretending not to cringe at her own sentiment, Twilight on the other hoof mouth was open in shock. "Dashie, I take back what I said. You're the most charming mare in all of Equestria." The two mares blushed, and leant into a kiss, before standing up and heading downstairs to the kitchen. Twilight and Dash sat at the table talking about some article in the newspaper, something about a political row over something pointless, Twilight may be a princess but she could not care for politics unless it was called upon her. The two mares talked and ate for a few minutes before eventually hearing a noise from the stairway, it was a thudding sound at first which soon turned into voices. Starlight and Sunset were in deep conversation when they arrived at the kitchen entrance, they were trying to uncover what happened the night before, maybe Dash and Twilight could help them out. Starlight and Sunset walked into the kitchen, seeing the two mares who were preemptively looking in their direction. Twilight and Dash were smiling as they saw the two, clearly hungover, ponies enter the kitchen with them. "Good morning Glims, Morning Shimmy" Dash chirped happily at the two, less happy, looking ponies. "Morning Sunset, Morning Starlight" Twilight added, smiling at the two, "I take it you two are hungover from last night? Here!" Twilight levitated a glass of water to each of them, who graciously accepted and took sips on them before making there way to the table. There was a silence for a short amount of time. "Soooo... What exactly happened last night..?" Starlight was the one to break the silence. "Well... A lot, I don't exactly know... I could use a spell with your help to see what happened if your that intrigued?" Starlight pondered for a moment. "I don't know if I have the strength for that, I feel absolutely fucked." Starlight replied. "All 3 of us together could probably do it" Sunset spoke for the first time of the morning. "Ya know sometimes you unicorns can be really condescending" Dash rolled her eyes and chuckled, the 3 unicorns giggled and began igniting their horns. "That's a big word for you Dashie! Twi rubbing off on ya already? Save it for marriage!" Starlight snickered as the other couple blushed and giggled nervously. A rectangle made of magic formed as 3 different coloured auras created the shape and enveloped the creation, after a few seconds the light faded and the rim of the 'screen' a light darted around the edges for a few more seconds and the entire thing glimmered. "Alright, lets see what happened" The 4 mares looked at each other with sheepish smiles and light blushes. The night was about to begin. Again. Author's Note Sorry this one is a short one but I undertook writing for a web comic and I was in charge of concepting all the characters, background characters and plot. I've not had much time with school and I've been putting this off a little. Next will be a short one, probably another 1k one.
