After being reformed, Sunset Shimmer is offered by Princess Celestia to start as a new teacher at the Royal Canterlot Academy, a prestigious magical school to train mages. Flash Sentry, a Royal Guard, is ordered to take Sunset on a tour of the Academy and after some talking, the two decide to have a magical duel at the schools colosseum. The students, the Royal Sisters, and the Elements of Harmony are all eager to see who wins as they witness a fight between fire and lightning, but a different kind of fire blooms between Sunset and Flash as the smoke clears.
