//-------------------------------------------------------// The Past Isn't Done With You -by SkyeD63- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1- The Regrets We Hide From //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1- The Regrets We Hide From The darkness of the Everfree forest surrounded Starlight. Everywhere the terrified mare looked, it was just black trees for miles. She looked down at her hooves to see a light grey fog wraping around her legs. The moon and the stars were absent from the black sky, and their were no sounds of crickets or any wildlife. The Forest was dead. Starlight kept running at a fast pace. The only sound that could be heard was her heavy breathing, and the sound of twigs snapping from under her hooves. She looked around in every direction, and when she did, all she saw was the mysterious dark figure that was chasing her, peeking out behind the trees. It was like a shadow that moved with Starlight. It was one with the darkness. The Figure was a very tall skinny creature, with white eyes and a white mouth. Ontop of his head rested a fedora, and clutched in his hand was a tall, rusty scythe. Starlight couldn't make out any of the mysterious figures features, due to it being so dark. But she knew exactly what it looked like and what it was capable of. After what felt like an eternity of running, Starlight tripped over a root from a tree that was sticking out of the ground. She tumbled face first in the dirt, but quickly rolled over and sat up as her head beamed in all directions. Silence...nothing but silence Her ear twitched from the sound of twigs snapping from behind her, as she quickly turned her head around to wherever the source of the sound was coming from. Then, in a completely opposite direction, she heard the sound of a metal blade being sharpened. Starlights horn glowed, as she was prepared to fire a magic blast at whatever was making the sound. Her heart began to race and sweat poured down her face as she wore a terrified expression. The sound of twigs snapping and metal sharpening started coming from all directions, which caused Starlights horn to grow brighter. She was beyond terrified at this point. Until all the sounds came to an end. Starlight just sat there breathing heavily, as her horn was still fully lit. Soon, the sound of twigs snapping came from within the blackness of the forest. This time it sounded as if it was heading towards her. Snap..snap.....snap...snap Starlights chest began beating hard, as if her heart wanted to just break out of her chest. Her horn was now fully lit, as she stared at the direction where the sound was coming from. Right when whatever was making the noise was about to reveal itself from the darkness of the forest, it stopped. Starlights heart stopped beating when she heard the sound of a deep, dark, terrifying chuckle. "Hehehe....my dear, you of all creatures should know, that you're magic is worthless against me", The creature said in a surprisingly calm, but very menacing voice. The light on Starlights horn immediately gave out, which caused her to start hyperventilating. "I..I..I told you the...the....deals off" Starlight pathetically whimpered. Her eyes widened in terror as she saw two white eyes and a white smile protruding from the darkness of the forest, followed by a much louder menacing laugh. "You stupid Ponies....you know damn well no deal goes off with me". The creature exited the darkness, and looked exactly as how Starlight had remembered him. It had no features. It was just a black shadowy ghost like creature. Even if Starlight already knew what it looked like, she still trembled in absolute fear. The creature approached her closer, and closer, until he was standing right over Starlight. "Look up at me", the creature ordered in the same calm but menacing voice. Starlight just stood still, shaking rapidly in fear. The creature placed the tip of its scythe under Starlights chin, and carefully lifted her head up towards him. Tears began streaming from her eyes and down her cheeks, as she shuttered in fear. Her eyes locked on with the creatures empty, plain white eye sockets. "Now listen carefully my dear, you're going to complete your end of the deal. Or else I'll take away everything you love until you end up insane. Then I'll make sure you die a slow and painful death". When it said the last line, Starlight could swear she heard its voice become more demonic. "N..N...NO"! A shred of confidence was in Starlights voice, but it immediately faded away upon hearing the demonic laughter. "Oh you poor fool...then may the Devil have mercy on your soul". The dark entity rose its scythe, and then dropped the tip of the blade down at Starlight. But right before he could slice through Starlights skull, a wave of dark blue magic penetrated the entity's chest, and made it fly into a tree. Starlight turned around, only to see a dark blue Alicorn princess exiting the shadows. "..L..L..Luna"? Starlight managed to say, as her breathing slowed down and she became a lot more calmer. Luna slolwy walked towards Starlight. Her long translucent hair and tail blew with the breeze. Her body was producing a shining light, that surrounded her. She seemed like an angel to Starlight. Luna walked over to the still dazed mare, and helped her to her hooves. "Listen my child" Luna began saying. "You must awake, you're life is in terrible danger". Starlight slolwy nodded in understanding. Both Mares turned their heads to the sound of a demonic laughter. "Oh...Oh you sons of bitches". The dark entity's voice was no longer the calm voice that Starlight heard. No, this time it was a loud, terrifying voice, that sounded as if it had come straight from the depths of hell. It was a voice nopony should ever have to hear. "I'M GOING TO SLIT YOUR STOMACH OPEN, AND FORCE YOUR LOVED ONES TO CONSUME YOUR INSIDES"! The creature grew larger in size, as if it were only a shadow. The large hole were Luna shot through was beginning to heal. "STARLIGHT RUN"! Princess Luna ordered. As she began zapping at the entity. She managed to slow it down, but it rapidly healed itself. A light blue portal opened behind Starlight. She looked at Luna in fear, then at the giant sized entity. "GO"! Luna shouted, as she continued using all of her magic to shoot at the growing threat. Starlight winced, and without hesitation, she leaped through the portal. ******** "AGHHH" Starlight yelled, as she sat up from her bed. She was drenched in sweat and was breathing heavily. She started looking around in every direction and began touching her face. "Only a dream" she said as she tried to reassure herself. "But Princess Luna had no control over it". The thought of it made Starlight worried again. "ARE YOU ALRIGHT"? The door to Starlights bedroom swung open, and spike ran in with a concerned look. "AGHH" Starlight screamed at the sudden surprise as she rolled off the bed and onto the ground. "SHHHH, geez you almost woke Twilight up and.....hey.....are you ok"? Spike asked with genuine concern when he saw just how scared Starlight was. "Wha...oh I'm fine, it was just a bad dream, that's all". Starlight began relaxing her breathing as she got up from the floor. Spike just stared at her for a couple of seconds, then sighed and turned to the door. "Alright, well try to get back to bed" he said with a yawn before exiting the room and closing the door. Starlight sighed, as she turned to her window and trotted towards it. She opened it up to take in the light breeze. The moon and the stars shined over ponyville, which made Starlight relax. She took in another deep breath, and just kept staring. She definitely wouldn't be going back to bed anytime soon. "Oh sweet Celestia". Author's Note So I stopped writing a previous story I was doing (mainly because I didn't really enjoy writing it and it wasn't really going anywhere) and decided this should be my first story. Even if the story's not good, I like writing horror type stuff, and it gives me something to look forward to after coming home from another shitty day of school. Hopefully you'll enjoy it and if not then that's cool too. Any advice would be appreciated since..well I'm kind of a noob when it comes to story writing. Anyways hope you enjoy it. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2- '"It's" Not a Pony //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2- '"It's" Not a Pony "Damnit". Starlight rolled off the bed in frustration from the suns light leaking through her window. She propped herself up on all four hoofs, and began slowly trotting to the window. Upon opening the blinds, she hissed at the light as if she were a vampire. After a couple of second of trying to adjust her eyesight, she turned around and headed towards her mirror. It was the mirror Twilight gave to her as a gift after defeating Queen Chrysalis. A gift Starlight admired deeply. "You look like shit" Starlight said to herself as she stared at her reflection. She took a glance at her tangled mane and the dark bags that ran under her red tired eyes. A light sigh escaped from her lips, before a smile formed on her face when she looked at the pictures of her friends that were plastered on the edges of the mirror. Her smile especially widened when she glanced at one of the pictures that met the most to her. It was a picture of her and Trixie hugging eachother. A light blue aura surrounded the picture, before it levitated closer to Starlight. Her heart began beating as she stared at the photo, and her cheeks began to warm up. After the fight between Queen Chrysalis, Starlight began having stronger feelings toward her friend. Feelings that made her feel as if she wanted to be more then just friends with Trixie. Whether Trixie felt the same way was a completely different story that Starlight just hasn't read yet. After a couple of minutes of staring at the photo, she levitated it back onto the mirror, grabbed her bag, threw some bits in it and tossed it over her back before heading out of her room. ******************** As the day went on, Starlight tried to forget the nightmare she had, chalking it up as just that.....only a nightmare. She made a grocery trip with Twilight down at the market, which really began easing her mind about the situation. "So....Spike told me you had a bad dream last night", Twilight said, as she was looking around for the stand that sold tomatoes. "It was just a bad dream, that's all". "Well, apparently based off what Spike told me, it really had you spooked". "For real Twilight, it was just a dream". Twilight rose her eyebrow up in suspicion, but immediately stopped thinking about it ounce she found the tomatoe stand. "Well, if you need to talk about it just let me know" Twilight said as she scanned through the plethora of tomatoes, trying to scavenge the best looking ones. "Could you go get some pineapples"? "Sure" Starlight said as she rolled her eyes and smiled, before trotting away in search of a stand that sold pineapples. "Sweet Celestia is their no place that sells the damn fruit"? Starlight searched almost every stand, and not a single one of them showed evidence of selling a single pineapple. Just as Starlight was about to call it quits, her eyes fell upon a stand that was hidden behind two other stands, and on its table rested the fruit that the mare was trying to find. It shined in Starlights eyes as if it were gold. Without hesitation she headed towards the stand, and began picking out two pineapples. After finding two perfect ones, she digged in her bag for some bits. "I'll take two please", she said while still fishing for some bits. "Why of course my dear...although, it might cost you more then bits". Starlight immediately froze in place. Her eyes widened and her heart began beating faster. It couldn't have been real. That voice. It was the same calm, menacing voice that she knew to well. She let go of the two bits she had in her mouth, and slowly rose her head out of her bag to face the stallion. Upon laying eyes on him, she was about to pass out. The "stallion" had dark grey fur, and long black hair that covered half his face. His eyes were a blood shot red color, and his sharpened teeth emitted the most evil grin Starlight had ever seen. He had on a long black trench coat that seemed to blow with the light breeze, and resting ontop of his head was a black fedora that was tipped lower on one side, producing a shadow that covered his left eye. "Come on Starlight...PAY UP" his voice rose and became demonic upon saying the last two words. Starlight slowly began backing up, before passing out on the grass. The last thing that she heard was a faint evil laugh. **************** "Starlight....Starlight....Starlight are you ok"? Starlight slolwy opened her eyes to the sight of Twilight standing over her with a scared expression. She slowly regained consciousness and began to sit up. "Wha..what happened"? She asked dazed as she placed a hoof on her head. She began seeing a circle of concerned ponies gathering around her ounce her eye sight began to focus. "I don't know, you tell me, we found you just laying right here for no reason" Twilight explained as one of the ponies handed her a cup of water. "I...I was heading towards the sta....."Starlight trailed off of her sentence and she began looking around the empty patch of grass were she swore the stand was. "........Stand". Twilight raised an eyebrow while levitating the cup towards her friend. "There's no stand around here, in fact your a mile away from the market. When I realized you were no where in sight, I got nervous". Starlight had a blank expression on her face, before her memory caught up to her, and within a split second she remembered everything that happened. She levitated the cup of water that Twilight offered and chugged the whole thing down. "It's ok everypony, everything's all good here, just continue on with your day" Twilight said, trying to get rid of the crowd. Ounce she saw that not a single pony was still watching, she looked down at Starlight, who was shaking uncontrollably and looked as if she had turned a bit pale. "Starlight please, tell me what's wrong". Twilight sat down beside her trembling friend and wrapped her arm around her. "It's...hard to explain", Starlight said as she calmed her shaking in the comfort of Twilights caring attitude. "I'm sure we can find a solu..." "NO" Starlight yelled as tears streamed down her face. Twilight was taken a back by this and was now not only concerned, but very confused. She and her friends had overcome many life threatening obstacles, so she didn't understand what was scaring Starlight. "Look..Twilight" Starlight began saying as she sniffed and wiped her tears away. "This is something that's far beyond our power. I can't explain it, but it's something that cannot be stopped, and I just don't want you to get hurt". Starlight placed her hoof on her concerned friends shoulder. "Because I think my greatest fear is about to come true, and something I buried long ago is about to rise from the grave and I'm not sure if anything can stop it". Twilight stared at her friend in shock from what she was hearing. A million questions were racing in her head, and at first she felt a little insulted by being told that she was ultimately useless in this situation. But something about Starlights look of absolute terror sent chills up Twilights spine. It was the look somepony would give....when they knew they were about to go through something unspeakably terrifying. "Just tell me what it is, and I promise you we will get through it...together". Author's Note I feel like dialogue is something I need to work on, because when I write it, it seems unnatural and forced. As for the monster that's haunting Starlight, I'm still debating which direction to take him. Probably in the next couple of chapters he's going to start becoming a lot more dangerous and do more things then just stalking. Another thing I need to work on is repetitive words. I find myself using the same phrase or word lots of times. Anyways the next chapter should be out probably by Sunday or Monday, Maye even Saturday if I can finish editing it. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3- It's not real //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3- It's not real "Soooo, let me get this straight. A strange unbeatable ghost like creature is trying to kill Starlight"? Rainbow Dash asked, tilting her head to the side. "Yep, that's what she told me. She wouldn't tell me why or how she even knew it in the first place", Twilight explained to her friends. She invited them over to her castle so that she could fill them in on the situation. "Well have you even seen it darling"? Rarity asked. "Unfortunately no, but Starlights freaking out right now" Twilight said. "Oh my...where is she"? Fluttershy quietly asked. "She's in her room with Trixie". All of the other girls immediately started to blush and giggle. "What"? Twilight asked while raising an eyebrow in suspicion. Upon realizing what they were giggling about, her face turned a hot shade of red as she quickly shook her head. "No no no, it's not like that. She's here because she heard that Starlight passed out in the middle of ponyville, and she came because she was concerned", Twilight quickly explained while still blushing. "Riiiiiight", Rainbow teased, as she still had a giant grin on her face. "So ya can't jus' find it and blast it Twi"? Applejack asked. "No, apparently it can't get hurt". Twilight said, scanning through a collection of books that she thought could help, but she couldn't find anything that Starlight was describing. "Oooo maybe this super duper scary monster just wants Starlight to give it a hug", Pinkie blurted out. She was met with dumbfounded faces. "I don't think this thing wants a hug Pinkie". As the girls sat around the cutie map table and pitched in their thoughts on the situation, the main door of the room swung open, and a small purple dragon quickly ran into the room. Spike stopped in front of the cutie map table while trying to catch his breath. "Spike what's wrong"? Spike had a worried expression, and held up a letter that was clenched in his hand. A light purple aura surrounded the letter, and levitated itself towards Twilight. She slowly began reading the letter, and her face began to morph in an expression of absolute terror. "Well, what's does it say" Rainbow asked while leaning back in her chair. Twilight slowly put the letter down and stared at all of her friends. "Princess Luna is in the hospital, and she's in critical comditon". ********** "Sooo this thing can morph itself into a pony"? Trixie asked while sitting next to Starlight on her bed. "Yea pretty much". "Why is it even chasing you in the first place"? "...........I rather not say", "Bull shit, you won't even tell me"? Trixie hopped off the bed and began pacing around Starlights room. "Look Trixie, I just rather not bring it up. But let's just say, I met it when I was a very desperate and greedy mare, that would've done anything to see her vision of the perfect Equestria come to life, and as a result of my stupid ass actions, I got to pay the price". Starlight sighed, and leaned back on her bed. "Pay the price? Get the fuck out of here Starlight, this isn't paying any damn price", Trixie angrily said to her friend. "It is for me" Starlight sorrowfully said as she turned to her side. "I almost destroyed this amazing reality just so I could have revenge, and what do I get after it? I get amazing friends, became the Princesses personal student, and now I'm becoming a hero for Equestria". Starlight took a deep sigh. "You make this shit sound as if it were a bad thing" Trixie said in confusion. "The point is, that I haven't been punished for any of my crimes towards Equestria, and I feel like I should". Trixie stared at her friend, and trotted towards her. "I tried to take over Ponyville out of revenge" Trixie began to remember the day she almost ruled over Ponyville with the magical amulet that she obtained. "I was forgiven that day by Twilight, and even then I was still hated. But then I met you". Trixie began to blush as she sat down on the bed beside her friend. "You were the one mare that I could've called a friend, and you've stuck with me all this time. I was about to try to do another dumbass thing when I realized that nopony cared for me, but when I met you, you showed me what a true friend is. You showed me what it met to be loved, and I'm glad I didn't go through any punishment, because I wouldn't have met you". Starlight rolled herself over to look at Trixie. Her face was a burning hot shade of red, and her heart was pounding rapidly. Trixie returned the look with a hot blush and a light smile. She laid herself down on the bed beside Starlight, and the two looked into one another's eyes. Starlights chest was pounding rapidly at this point, and her entire face was now red. Her heart slowed down a bit when she felt her hoof being held by Trixies. After a couple of second of just staring at eachother, the two mares slolwy leaned their heads closer to eachother, and embraced in a long passionate kiss. Starlights heart slowed down its beating, and her face became less red. She felt so safe, so comfortable with Trixie. She placed a hoof on Trixies face and slowly opened her eyes. Her eyes widened in sudden fear, as she stood up in horror. She was kissing a skeleton that belonged to a unicorn. Starlight jumped off the bed and ran outside her door and into the hallway. After catching her breath, she looked up and realized that the hallway wasn't shiny or bright. It was dark and she couldn't see very far down the hallway. Her horn glowed so that it could produce some sort of light so she could see. But it was still really dark. Starlight heard the sound of running, but she couldn't point out where it was coming from. She began trotting down the dark hallway, but stopped when she felt her hooves touching some kind of liquid. She looked down and trembled in fear when she saw that she was standing in a pool of red liquid. The liquid made a trail that went down the hallway and disappeared into the blackness. Starlight tried to calm herself down before continuing down the nearly pitch black hallway. It seemed as if she was walking for a long time. She couldn't find any doors, any windows, or anypony. But then she stopped dead in her tracks when she heard the sound of hoof steps right behind her. She slowly turned her head around, but before she could fully look behind her, she immediately turned her head forward in fear. Standing right behind her was a mare. A dark grey mare, with long black hair that covered her face. Starlight began to sweat, and tears streamed from her face as she was now beyond scared. She did her best to calm herself down, and ounce she was relaxed, she slowly started walking again, trying her best not to look behind her. The sound of hoof steps from behind her didn't pick back up. After a good two minutes of walking, she found the door that led to the main room where the cutie map table was. "Twilight..." she called out. No response. Starlight took a deep breath before opening the door. The room was dark as well, and it was completely abandoned. But the sight of something made Starlights skin crawl. Sitting right ontop of the table was a filly with her back turned. The filly was her. She didn't move, or even make a sound. The only sound that was in the room was Starlights heavy breathing. "Umm, hello"? Starlight slolwy walked towards the table where the filly was sitting. "He's going to get you", the filly whispered. "He's going to cut your eyes out, just like he did to me". The younger version of Starlight turned her head around, which made Starlight stumbled back a bit In fear. Her eye sockets were completely empty, and blood poured out from the empty holes where her eyes should be. "In fact, he's here right now". Her voice began to grow deeper and more terrifying as she said that last sentence. Starlight quickly turned around and ran straight for the door, but screamed her lungs out upon opening it. Infront of her was Trixies body. A noose hung around her neck, as she dangled infront of Starlight. Her eyes were completely ripped out, and her horn was snapped off. The letter X was carved in her stomach, leaving trails of blood dripping from her body. Starlight stood there in horror, as tears began to stream down her face. "Oh sweet Celestia" she screamed. She turned around to look away from the door, but was greeted by the same dark stallion that caused her to pass out at the fruit stand. His Fedora covered his eyes and a blood covered grin stretched across his face. He lifted his fedora up to reveal his eyes. They were replaced by white glowing empty sockets, that stared right into Starlights soul. "Where do you think you're going"? He said in a demonic voice. Without any warning, a cloud of smoke surrounded his hoof, and a tall, blood covered Scythe appeared, clutched in his hoof. He raised the Scythe over his head and quickly brought it down on Starlight. *********** "AGHHHHH" Starlight yelled as she opened her eyelids. Sweat was pouring down her face and her eyes were wide in panic. "Starlight, calm down its me Trixie". Trixie wrapped her arm around her friend, who was now sobbing her eyes out. Twilight and the others raced down the hallway and busted into the room. "What happened"? Twilight asked. Her face became scared when she saw Starlight, shaking like crazy and crying. "We were......doing something, and then she passed out to sleep. I tried to wake her up but after like two minutes she woke up screaming", Trixie explained, still hugging her crying friend. "Well we just got news that Princess Luna is in critical condition and they don't know how", Rarity said. Starlight immediately stopped crying, and stood dead still upon hearing what Rarity just said. She slowly released herself from Trixies arms and had a blank face on. The others grew silent and stared at their friend in confusion. "Starlight.....what's wrong"? Twilight nervously asked. Starlight just stared at nothing, before slolwy raising her eyes up to look at her friends. "Oh shit". Author's Note So like I said previously, dialogue is something I feel I need to work on. Also I feel like I'm rushing situations, and not adding enough detail. Let me know if you feel the same. Oh yea, and by now you probably can get a nightmare on Elm Street vibe in this story. Horror movies are a big inspiration to me. Anyway cristcim is appreciated. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4- An Unexpected Greeting //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4- An Unexpected Greeting Starlight looked out of the train window, as the outside world flew by. She was fighting the urge to shut her eyes because she knew if she did, she would enter a deep sleep which would cause her to dream, and then she would see "it". The thing that's been tormenting her for the past 5 days. The thing that has caused her to loose sleep, and live in constant paranoia. She was sitting at the back of the cart by herself. Her eyes were a light red tone, and dark circles were casted around them. Her purple mane was now a mess, as parts of it fell flat down, covering half of Starlights face. She was wearing a black hoodie that shes had since she could remember. It made her feel comfortable and strangely enough, even safe. As she stared out the window, she flinched at any tree or shadow that her eyes laid upon, not being able to differentiate what was real and what wasn't. "Here you go" Trixie said while levitating a glass full of water towards Starlight. She took a seat by Starlight as she watched her gulp the entire glass. "Thanks", Starlight said in a monotone voice. She put down the glass and looked right back out of the window. "Hey Star, we'll get through this" Trixie said in a reassuring tone. She placed her hoof on Starlights and scooted a bit closer to her. Starlight could already feel comfortable as she took a deep sigh, and leaned up against Trixie. She rested her head on Trixies shoulder and closed her eyes for a bit. "It's my fault that Luna's hurt". Starlight whimpered out. "What? No it's not. They don't even know what caused it" Trixie said. "It was that thing Trixie, I know it was, and it's all my fault". "Starlight, you can't keep putting the blame on yourself for every bad thing, and don't you even say that this is your punishment or some shit like that". Trixie stared at Starlight, and placed a hoof on her face. The two mares stared intently at one another before they both leaned towards eachother for another kiss, until they were interrupted by the sound of giggling. "No way, you guys are a thing"? Rainbow Dash laughed as she floated in the air. A blue aura surrounded her rainbow colored tail, and yanked her to the ground. "Why Rainbow Dash, where are your manors"? Rarity Said, still holding Rainbow by the tail. "Rainbow, I oughta teach ya some manors", Applejack said as she trotted beside Rarity and popped her hoofs. "Ok ok, geez, I'm sorry. I just thought it was funny since it as a recurring joke that we constantly bring up". "Wait what"? Trixie asked while tilting her head at the trio. "Nothing sugar cube, we're really happy for ya, and hope ya two work out". "Yea, if Starlights scary bogey man doesn't get her". Applejack brought her hoof down on Rainbows head with a hard smack. Rainbow turned her head towards the orange farm pony and gave a cheapish smile. "I was kidding". "Why I'll show ya who the bogey man is". Before Applejack and Rainbow could rumble with another, they were interrupted by Twilight, Fluttershy, and Pinkie trotting down the cart and towards the group. "So I've ruled out any threats that could almost kill a princess. Obviously none of our major threats like Sombra or Terek could've done this. Discords reformed and Chrysalis is way to weak to do anything". Twilight placed a hoof under her cheek as she pondered through all possible causes for Luna's state. "Maybe someone drugged her, assassinations have been attempted on the princesses before", Fluttershy chimed in. "No silly, Twilight said that Princess Luna had physical damage like cuts and bruises", Pinkie said as she swallowed a plate full of cupcakes that she had gotten from the desert cart. "Which really only leaves..." Twilight nervously turned her head towards Starlight. The mare was still looking out the window through her tired eyes, not paying attention to the conversation. "Starlight", Twilight softly called out. Starlight slowly turned her head to see everypony looking at her. "Did Luna ever go into these dreams that you have"? Starlight just stared blankly at the purple princess. She was about to open her mouth, but the sound of the trains horn filled the air, and the conductor called out "CANTERLOT, I REPEAT WE'VE REACHED CANTERLOT". Both Twilight and Starlight stared at eachother, before hopping off their seats and exiting the train. Upon exiting the train, the girls were greeted by Shining armor and about seven Royal Guards. "Twily, Shining cheerfully said as he embraced his sister in a hug. The two smiled at eachother, as Shining raised his head and smiled at the other girls exiting the cart. However, his smile turned into a frown upon seeing Starlight. He let go of his sister and trotted towards the mare. "Starlight Glimmer, you are under arrest until further questioning". Shining said in a serious voice. The other Royal Guards levitated their spears with their horns and aimed them towards Starlight. "WHAT"? All the other girls shouted together. One of the Guards trotted besides Shining, as he levitated handcuffs on Starlights front hoofs and a collar on her horn that was used to prevent ponies from using magic. "Wait, under what circumstances"? Starlight said as she had a nervous look on her face. "You were the last person Princess Luna interacted with before we found her in the state that she's in", Shining explained. "Fuck, fuck fuck fuck" Starlight began quietly saying. She closed her eyes and banged her head on a nearby pole. "It was you then, I shouldn't have left", Starlight whispered to herself. Everypony stared at her with a concerned look, even Shining and the Royal Guards. "Star"? Trixie tried to trot over to her mare friend, but was stoped by a guard. "Shining, you and me need to talk right now", Twilight said with a menacing glare that sent chills up Shinings spine. "She didn't do anything Shining, she's innocent", Twilight said to her brother. "I believe you Twi, Starlight isn't that kind of pony, but we just need to take her in for questioning". "Then why all the cuffs and Guards"? "Celestias orders". "Well I need to talk to her too". "She wants to see y'all anyways". Shining said, pointing at the castle. "I'll take you to it" . Him and the girls began walking, before Rainbow turned her head back at Starlight. "What about Star"? Rainbow asked. "We're taking her to the Royal Guard Station for questioning". The other girls stared at one another with concerned faces, before looking at Trixie who was hanging her head. "It's ok sugercube, she's only going into questioning", Applejack said while wrapping an arm around Trixie for comfort. Trixie sighed, as she looked up to see Starlight being escorted "Yeh...just simple questioning". Author's Note Ok so like, I still have that feeling that I'm rushing these situations and "character developments". Also, I can now confirm that romance is something that I'm terrible at (well writing in general probably) and is something I got to work on. Also I feel like I'm not staying loyal to the characters actual fucking personalities from the show. It's probably because I'm writing a "dark" story, so I'm probably changing up their personalities to accommodate for that reason. Which is a bad thing to do. I've read some really great and dark fanfics that really stay true to the characters actual personalities. Probably the writer that I can I think of that does this great is the myth, the legend, The Albinocron. Seriously, he can really stick to the characters core personalities, which is essential in writing a good and believable fanfic. Although to be fair for myself, this is like the first ever story that I'm writing, with the skills of a fucking pre-schooler, and The Albinocrons wrote like 15 amazing stories (I bet his first story was a masterpiece as well) But anyways, keeping these in my mind, I'll try to get the next chapter out quickly for anyone who's keeping up with this shitty story that I'm doing. (Seriously if you are actually reading this, it means a lot. Like even if you don't like it, it still means a lot).
