Octavia is known for being one kind of pony: a musician who is willing to memorize the entire composition of notes written upon a sheet and still have the time to practice it by heart and soul; however, today is different for her because she has taken a vacation to ease herself from the next upcoming concert in the near future.

Little does she know, she is not the only musician going on a vacation: Vinyl Scratch, a composer who improvises with the use of electronics to bring her audience shock and awe, is also in the mood for rest and relaxation before going back into action like usual; of course, she never considered the possibility of meeting up with somepony.

Eventually, the two mares in question came around and are compelled to share a single room due to a clerical error in judgment; as they start spending the night in the brief reprieve from the real world, they both start to learn a little more about themselves and each other in the very process thereof.
