Twilight Sparkle was outside in Ponyville during the end of summer, she realized that it was getting colder by the day as fall was coming soon, she knew that it was going to thet colder, she was sad that summer was almost over but she knew that summer would be back soon enough and she also knew that it had to happen so that Equestria could experiacne all four seasons regularly.
She knew that she would have to get inside soon as the cold weather was going to start officially tonight as they had forecasted. She sighed as she looked at the sky and the green leaves on the trees, she knew they were going to change color during the fall and she liked that about fall but that was the only reason she liked fall.
She was glad that she didn't have to worry about buying a costume for nightmare night since she really didn't celebrate that holiday anymore because she just lost interest overtime as she was an older adult.
She was going to miss summer a lot but she knew that it had to happen and there wasn't anything she could do to stop the weather ponies like how Rainboe Dash tried to stop winter in order to stop Tank from hibernating by trying to stop the winter weather from being made in the clouds dale factory which of coarse was impossible to do although she didn't think about that at the time when she was dealing with that issue.
She decided to get up and take one more stroll through the park to enjoy the last moments of summer. She knew that she would have to wash her short clothes and pack them away for next year as she would be needing her long clothes for the rest of the year until it was summer again because when it became summer again she could wear short clothes again.
She wished that she could prolong summer but she knew that she couldn't do that. She tried to appreciate the last moments of summer as best as she could because it wouldn't be back until next year which was a bummer. She guessed that tonight she would have to wear long pajamas since it did t seem that warm anymore. She got up and decided to buy some winter clothes.
When she got to a couple of cloth stores she looked around and bought extra winter clothes, she needed to be prepared, she saw other people shopping for winter clothes so she was glad that she wasn't the only one to shop for winter clothes because if she was the only one shopping for winter clothes she would look stupid.
When she was done buying stuff for winter she decided to change in a bathroom there since it wouldn't make much sense to go out into the cold with short clothes on so she got into some winter clothes and realized how much better she felt when she put the long clothes on as it was pretty cold out. She didn't want to feel cold in the chilly weather even if it was still summer.
She walked out of the bathroom and went back home where Spike was waiting for her, when she saw Spike she handed him some stuff to carry into their place as she couldn't carry it all since she needed a break from carrying all of that stuff since she had just carried that stuff from the clothes shop, She went inside and Spike put her clothes down in her room, Twilight thanked him and unpacked.
"Are you sure you want to buy winter clothes now? You have some time yet before it gets colder, you could wait until the prices lower and then you can buy some, that's how I would do it anyway." Spike said, Twilight shook her head.
"No I needed to buy them now or I won't be able to go outside in the early days of fall, fall is going to start tomarrow so I have to prepare today so that I dont fall behind, go check on the heater and make sure it doesn't need fixing before winter starts as I don't want my heater breaking down during winter when it's really cold in our place." Twilight said. Spike nodded and checked on the heater.
When he made sure that the heater was working all right he told Twilight and Twilight thanked him and told him how much she appreciated him checking for her as she knew that keeping the heater working was important for the winter.
"We have shovels and food for now so I think the only thing remaining that we don't have is scarves but I don't think we will need them, we have boots so we're pretty much set. Thanks for the help Spike." Twilight said, Spike left her alone for a bit as Twilight sat down.
Twilight wondered if Spike had a Hearth's Warming Eve list for her but she realized that she didn't have to worry about it at that moment since she had time to find out what he wants and she knows that she has time to buy him the stuff he wants. She would also have to get her brother something.
She decided to put away her beach items and her swimsuit in the closet as she won't be needing it until next year when summer returned. She wondered if her friends were getting ready for fall as well since it was about to start in a matter of weeks. She hoped they started to shop for winter clothes soon as winter clothes would be gone by winter since everybody was buying a pair.
She said one more goodbye to summer as she knew that fall was now approaching in a quick manner and it would only be a matter of time before blizzards started to ravage Equestria. She knew that she was going to make sure that she was prepared for the storms ahead.
