Chapters The Scorn of Evil Sweetie Bot
Rarity walked through her home, still recovering that little scuffle back at Metropolis and right now she needed some good old fashioned R&R. She petted a now napping Opal, there was a particular photo of Rarity standing next to her little sister during a baseball game she attended.
She took a lot of hits but all that training was worth it in the end
A single tear ran down her cheek as memories of the tragic 12 car accident that cut Sweetie Belle's life shot. She remembered the police officer coming over to her house, telling Rarity what she didn't want to hear but couldn't ignore it or it would drive her mad.
Setting the picture down back where she found it, a figure of Belle's baseball uniform hanged in the closet with the number 19 on the front and back.
"19 was always her favorite number" Rarity squeaked, holding back tears.
Utter guilt filled Rarity's heart as the sounds of police sirens echoed through her mind that she had to shake her head, just to make those faint yet loud sirens disappear. She set the jersey down and walked away from it, for all it would do is cause more flashbacks for her.
That's when she noticed some schematics for a robot Twilight drew for her after what happened to Sweetie Belle just in case. Rarity couldn't have been more grateful for her friend building this up so now all she had to do was follow the instructions from top to bottom.
I need to give some thought before I decide to recreate my sister Rarity pondered.
She walked over to the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water, maybe having a drink would ease her pain a little.
It did no such luck, all it did was increase hurt Rarity's heart was feeling.
~Flashback~
The sound of chattering before a great baseball game as Sweetie Belle jumped out of the car happily. Rarity opened the trunk and gave her little sister her baseball bat, she smiled brightly before giving Rarity a big hug.
"Make sure you knock one out of the park" Rarity motivated.
"I will!" Sweetie smiled.
The last thing she will ever see was Sweetie running to the ballpark.
~End of Flashback~
Rarity cried on her sofa pillow as she felt like Sweetie Belle's death was her fault even though it wasn't. The looks she got at Belle's funeral burned into Rarity's soul, making her tears flow down further onto her pillow. She knew she would never put Sweetie in harm's way, but this was a different time.
I'm sorry Sweetie Belle, I wasn't there to save you
Looking up from her pillow, the schematics from earlier that detailed every aspect of Sweetie Belle from the top of her head to her feet. An idea sparked in Rarity's mind, she got up from the sofa and snatched up the schematics, looking through it thoroughly, making sure she knew what she was doing and not mess up.
"I'm going to bring you back Sweetie Belle no matter what" Rarity proclaimed.
Outside Rarity's house, Lightning Dust sat on a tree branch, watching the fashionista get ready to build a robot version of Sweetie Belle.
"Poor Rarity, she wants her sister so badly that she'll do ANYTHING to get her back. Truly sad to say the least" Lightning pitied her.
"Dust we have no time for poetry, we are here to make sure Rarity builds her sister so we can implant that virus" Rockstar explained through the earpiece.
"Yea yea don;t get your panties in a bunch I got this" Lightning teased.
"Don't make me twist your panties into a knot around your neck!" Rockstar threatened.
Lightning Dust didn't really find Rockstar as a threat or scary when he made threats like this. She just yawned at what Rockstar just said, as if to say 'I don't really care'.
"Anyway Kate I have the power box with the virus inside ready to be deployed" Dust assured Kate, completely ignoring Rockstar's threat.
"Excellent, wait until Rarity falls asleep and when she does infect the robot with the virus" Kate instructed.
"Roger that" Lightning replied obediently.
One last screw tightened as they completed robot Belle laid on the table with its eyes closed, it reminded Rarity of all those nights she would tuck her little sister into bed at night. A single tear fell onto the workbench table top as Rarity placed one hand on Sweetie Bot's cheek and smiled sheepishly.
"You look so beautiful, like a gift from Heaven up above" Rarity complimented.
The touch felt cold in Rarity's hand but for a moment it felt warm, like holding a newborn baby for the first time, it put a smile on Rarity's face that brighten up the mood.
She yawned from all her hard work on Sweetie Bot.
"See you in the morning" Rarity promised, leaving the workshop.
Turning off the light, the robot laid dormant or at least for now. A purple lightning strike hit the ground as Dust looked around to see if she could see where the robot was. Opening her palm, she activated an electric ball of energy as a flashlight and pinpointed to the robot girl laid on Rarity's workbench.
"Found you" Lightning said wickedly.
She walked over to it and opened her central processing unit (her brain) where networks flowed through them, giving off that green glow. Lightning reached in her pocket, pulled out a black chip then inserted it inside Sweetie's brain which sparked her a bit, making that green flash red then back again.
"The virus is in" Lightning announced, lightly tapping her ear piece.
"Excellent work Dust, come back to the mansion and I will explain Phase 2 of our plan" Kate commanded.
Lightning nodded and used her powers to disappear without being noticed.
Sweetie Bot's eye shot open, surveying her current surroundings, scanning every inch of everything inside the workshop.
"What's this?" Sweetie pondered, picking up a photo of her and Rarity at an amusement park when she was younger.
She must be my creator
Sweetie Bot got off the table top and up the stairs, where she saw Rarity sleeping soundly and peacefully. She smiled before crawling into bed with Rarity as she wrapped one hand around the robot sister. Without Rarity knowing, Sweetie's green eyes flashed red then back again.
"Sleep mode activated" Sweetie announced as she shut down for the night.
The Scorn of Evil Sweetie Bot
The birds chirped their morning song, signaling that morning has come to start the day. Sweetie turned on, looking around her surroundings before she realized she was still in Rarity's arms. Her grip was tight but snug nonetheless, Sweetie exchanged a loving kiss to Rarity's nose which made her open her eyes.
"Good morning sister" Sweetie said sweetly.
Rarity looked up to see her robot creation come to life right before her eyes. She became speechless as Sweetie blinked smiling happily and as bubbly as before.
"You want me to make breakfast for you?" Sweetie asked.
"Uhh...sure" Rarity finally said after standing like a statue.
Who could blame her? All of a sudden, after creating this machine sister, Rarity did not expect it to come alive let alone ask to make breakfast but all that doubt was pushed aside and Rarity embraced Sweetie. That sudden happiness that sealed the deal for Rarity, seeing her sister alive even though she was a machine didn't matter.
Maybe having a robotic sister isn't as creepy as most people think Rarity said to herself.
Outside the mansion was a bitter cold Alaska style blizzard but none of them we're outside, instead they were all inside; the big supercomputer in the living room along with some sofas and 2 loveseats.
"So what's this Phase 2 of your plan that you keep talking about?" Rockstar questioned.
"Phase 2 is activating the flash drive data to turn Sweetie Bot into a killing machine and kill Rarity" Kate explained partly.
"Hmm it sounds pretty farfetched considering that Rarity can just phone Sparkle at a moment's notice" Dust reminded, holding up a cellphone.
"I jammed the signal, so they won't be calling each other" Rockstar blurted out.
Lightning Dust gave a bit of an irritated look on her face, Rockstar only smiled which pissed off Dust more.
"Enough you two! We have bigger things we have to focus on other than you having a petty fight with each other" Kate growled, gripping the table which made it bent.
Dust and Beats looked over at the bent piece of metal underneath Kate's hand, signaling that if they don't stop right now, she was going to stop it permanently.
"Beyond that, once Sweetie Bot's virus takes full effect then we shall pick up the remnants of Radiance. Our victory is assured, I hope this time we do our job right" Kate said looking at Rockstar and Lightning Dust.
"You have no problems with me, those heroes are as good as dead" Rockstar proclaimed.
"Pit me with Dash and they only thing that will be left of her will be that lightning pendant she wears all the time" Dust vowed.
Kate flashed an approval smirk before turning her attention back to the screen.
Rarity let out a satisfied sigh after a big and wonderful breakfast, surprisingly nothing got burned or looked like a fire was about to happen. That sent a tear to flow down Rarity's face.
"Sister I am detecting a hint of sadness. Did I overcook the pancakes?" Sweetie asked, trying to conclude the care of Rarity's sadness.
Rarity wiped a single tear and shook her head. "No no darling, it's just that..." Rarity trailed off, trying her very hardest to get the proper words out.
Sweetie tilted her head, slightly confused at Rarity's hesitation but quickly started to understand.
"You are experiencing sadness over the fact you lost Sweetie Belle" she assumed.
Rarity gave a silent nod. "She meant the world to me in every way. When she passed away, I became the now famous Radiance, all the fights that I've been involved in...have been for my sister. There is nothing I would rather do than help anyone in need" Rarity proclaimed.
Sweetie's mind swirled, trying so hard to contemplate what she just said. The reason was she doing all this hero business was that her past sins could one day be atoned. Maybe one day she could understand but for now she embraced her sister.
"Thank you Sweetie Belle" Rarity thanked her for an embrace.
All of a sudden Sweetie sparked a bit, causing a shockwave knocking Rarity into a wall then sliding down to the ground. Rarity opened her eyes to see Sweetie Bot was gone, leaving behind a big hole in the wall.
Her vision was a little fuzzy when she tried to stand up. Just trying to stand up was a challenge considering she was blown back by a sudden shockwave.
What on earth was that? Rarity pondered.
She was able to get up from a blast that was caused somehow by Dust and company, they put a virus inside Sweetie Bot when Rarity was finishing creating her.
"They are going to pay!" Rarity growled.
The fashionista opened the door to the garage and hopped on her motorcycle and sped off. Whizzing past traffic along with passerby's was difficult but Rarity wasn't thinking about that now, all she wanted to find her robotic sister. Unknowing to her, a bunch of drones followed her and fired lasers at her, with one hitting the tire, causing Rarity to do a back flip transformation into Radiance before landing on her feet.
Her bracelets glowed bright into a pink turret gun and destroyed those drones. The turret gun faded away, walking over to one drone to see a small chip inserted on the back of it.
"Maxford Industries? The toy company!" Rarity realized.
Maxford Industries was where she helped create toy doll dresses in time for Christmas, making it the one stop shop for holiday shopping. After their founder Henry Maxford passed away, it discontinued it's product but the building is still standing to this very day. Looming in the distance laid that very building, Rarity began to run towards it, pink roller skates appeared on her feet to make the trip a lot smoother.
Dust looked through her binoculars to see Radiance skating by.
"Well well well look at what we got here, the hero in heading in the direction of the Maxford Industries" Dust assumed, smirking wickedly.
"Get back to base Dust, I don't want any interruptions during this fight" Rockstar commanded.
"Roger that" Dust responded.
Kate watched from the security camera that was placed at the front door to see Radiance walk up.
She smirked, then placed one hand on Sweetie Bot's shoulder as to say 'She's here'.
Sweetie's eyes glowed bright red.
The Scorn of Evil Sweetie Bot
The front doors creaked from not being active for what seemed like ages. Rarity looked around but saw nothing but broken parts and loose wires dangling above her, showing how old this place is.
"Where could you have gone Sweetie?" Rarity wondered.
A shadow moved past Rarity silently, making Rarity look over the corner to see nothing was there. Something wasn't right, she walked up to an elevator she could tell didn't work but tried again. Pressing the up button did nothing, just as Rarity thought.
Guess I'll to take the stairs Rarity began to walk up the stairs.
Rockstar and Dust watched from the mansion computer back in Alaska, watching all the security cameras inside the facility Rarity was searching around, trying to locate her robotic sister.
"So she's just going in there, knowing full well her sister could reduce her to nothing in say a few minutes" Dust pondered.
"She must care that much" Rockstar guessed.
Rarity was on the 10th floor to notice Kate standing next to Sweetie Bot with a devious smirk spread across her face. This was the first time Rarity and Kate have met each other but one question lingered: What was she doing with her sister?
"Miss Radiance the fabulous fighter of the Power Heroes" Kate started.
"What are you doing here Kate? What do you want from me?!?" Rarity demanded.
"It's not what I want from you my dear, simply put it like this: Sweetie Bot is going to destroy you then possibly your group of heroes" Kate explained.
Her bracelets sprouted a pink staff as Rarity gripped it tightly. Kate disappeared, leaving Bot to kill Rarity.
"Engaging combat mode" Sweetie said, unleashing arm guns and back rocket launchers then began to fire.
Rarity shifted the staff into a shield before she got to some good cover, giving her time to regroup and think of a plan. Sweetie started scanning the area for her so she can destroy her in a fury of attacks. She tapped a few keys on her arm communicator to find a weak spot, from what it said was 'Hit the bottom of Sweetie Bot's head to signal a short circuit'.
Sounds easy enough A pink hand pistol appeared in Rarity's hand.
Jumping out of cover, Rarity fired a single bullet that curved off of a wall then into a security camera's armor plate before finally hitting Sweetie's neck which like the computer said, triggered a short circuit inside Bot.
She dropped to one knee before looking up at Rarity pointing her gun at her. As much as the voices told her not to fire the gun, Rarity had to do something to make sure she didn't escape. A purple lightning energy ball shocked Rarity, causing her to fall backwards as Dust moved past her smirking.
"No..." Rarity tried to say.
She tried to stand up but Rockstar sat on her chest to prevent her from moving.
"Do I eliminate the target?" Sweetie asked, looking at Kate.
"No my dear but you may come with me" Kate responded.
Rockstar eventually got up from Rarity's chest and disappeared with the others, leaving Rarity on the ground.
Kate was in her lab, checking over Celestia's vitals and seeing that her brain waves are responding to the countless shock tests she has performed on her. Rockstar and Dust were making some last minute changes to Sweetie Bot.
"Make sure she's combat ready" Kate reminded them, while at the same time jotting down some notes on her clipboard.
Sweetie Bot was no longer a sweet, kind, and loving robot sister. She was now a killer hacking machine, who's only function is to serve Kate.
