Prologue

Scootaloo had noticed subtle changes in Rainbow Dash since her release from the hospital. Old Rainbow Dash never would have gotten up by the first rays of sunlight to walk through the streets of Ponyville.

She still wouldn't if it weren't for the special occasion.

Today, Hard Knock left Ponyville hospital and a few hours of lost sleep were worth it to be the first pony to congratulate her coltfriend. Scootaloo had a less serious reason to accompany her; she liked Hard Knock and practically lived with Rainbow Dash since occasional sleepovers had turned to full weekends and weeks. Their living arrangements couldn't go on for much longer without committing to each other, yet neither of them had the nerve to bring it up.

The two tomcolts were birds of a feather.

Recent obligations with the Wonderbolts and her job at the weather patrol had shortened the time with her coltfriend to Rainbow's constant frustration. She loved her work and flight training, but the smiles in his presence weren't comparable to the goofy grins from a joke or a won race. When she smiled at him, Rainbow looked more genuine and Scootaloo was glad to have earned her own version. They often snuggled now in the secrecy of Rainbow's cloud home, lying together in the large bed of her luxurious bedroom. Embraced in the legs of her idol, she saw that warm smile as the first thing on every morning.

It made Scootaloo feel special.

"Are we getting Twilight?" Scootaloo asked as they approached the tree library.

"I'm picking up an awesome present," Rainbow answered and muttered the next part to herself. "At least I hope it is..."

Before Scootaloo could ask about the mysterious present, Rainbow knocked and entered without waiting, the door to the library already unlocked. Something heavy blocked the entrance and forced them to squeeze through the gap. Wooden crates, four ponies wide and two high in size, stacked around the bottom floor, leaving only narrow passages to navigate through the small labyrinth.

Twilight Sparkle was already waiting with large bags under her eyes, ushering Rainbow upstairs and leaving a pouting filly with a disinterested baby dragon. Spike sat on the largest crate tower with a comic and was unfazed by the current state of his home. With nothing better to do than wait, Scootaloo climbed atop said tower and took from Spike's stack of comics to read while she waited.

"What are they doing up there?" A quick glance at the clock told Scootaloo that twenty minutes had already passed.

Spike shrugged and turned a page on his comic.

"What is in all those crates?"

Spike shrugged again and relented under the scathing glare he got in return. "Weird slimy balloons in small packages."

The little packets were everywhere these past weeks. Every mare in Ponyville had at least one on hoof and even Rainbow Dash stored a few of them in her drawer. They smelled delicious in fruity flavors and Rainbow had to explain that these weren't for eating after making Scootaloo spit out several.

"What are they good for?" She tried to understand why every adult loved them so much and couldn't see their appeal.

Spike realized he had to get more involved with his guest to have some peaceful reading time. "Beats me. Princess Celestia gave a royal order to make more for testing after getting samples. I asked Rarity about the blue packet in her purse, and she wouldn't answer questions beyond needing it for just in case. Twilight told her it would be at least two of the bigger balloons for me and she turned red before fleeing the library."

"She didn't!" Scootaloo snickered at the mental image of an adult running like a foal.

"She did. Since then, she's also extra nice to me."

Both continued to ponder the mysterium of adult life until the sound of an opening door turned their attention upstairs and they saw Rainbow Dash descend from above.

"Finally! What were you doing?" Scootaloo asked and saw the sweat run down in large drops from Rainbow's forehead, her coat soaked and dotted with countless wet spots. What could make an athlete like her sister this winded in twenty minutes? Twilight didn't look like the type for heavy fitness equipment and a workout just before a hospital visit was stupid.

"I made something for my coltfriend," Rainbow said with short breaths and grabbed the filly from the crate to fly out of a window as fast as possible, leaving a confused dragon behind. In those few moments close to her, the filly felt a sudden wave of warmth and comfort wash over her small body.

Rainbow Dash smelled wonderful.

They landed and Scootaloo begrudgingly let go. The wings of Rainbow furled to shield the saddlebags on her back. During the remaining trip, the filly glanced towards the object under the fabric with curiosity. Rainbow wouldn't tell what it was, so the two entertained themselves with a guessing game until they arrived at the hospital.

"Aren't we going inside?" Scootaloo loved how nice Hard Knock was to her, giving up desserts and the delicious parts of lunch on every visit. He also listened to what Scootaloo had to say and gave honest feedback, something even Rainbow Dash failed when the filly got too excited in her tales. She never felt talked down to by him, taken serious and by face value on every occasion.

"It's more fun to surprise him when he comes out," Rainbow Dash reasoned, ignoring the pout directed at her. "The others should be here soon."

True to her words, the apple siblings came into view a few minutes later with Rarity in tow. Rainbow voiced her surprise about that, not thinking the busy seamstress would have the time.

"Oh, darling," Rarity glowed from anticipation. "Did you think I would miss the opportunity to thank the stallion who made you realize what a beautiful mare you are? The weekly visits to the spa are so much more enjoyable with you in our group."

Applejack snickered at Rainbow's uncomfortableness and caused Rarity to focus her attention on the apple farmer. "The only pony left out is you. Pinkie likes the bubble baths and Twilight uses massages as stress relief. Aloe could do wonders with your golden mane."

Sweat built on Applejack's face, and she sent a silent prayer to whatever deity for a miracle to save her.

"Since when does my brother have so many ponies that give a damn about him?"

Ask and you shall receive salvation in form of a brash earthpony mare.

Applejack nominated the brewer as her new favorite pony. Berry Punch produced amazing cider, made her brother come out of his shell and could distract Rarity on command. One word about her and the seamstress could waste hours with rants about the uncouth sibling of Rainbow's perfect stallion.

In stark contrast, the brewer was lauded like the second coming of Celestia by the Apple clan. Several branches of the family were getting very aggressive in their attempts to woe the mare into their fold. Advances Berry ignored as a whole in favor of the big, silent and red stallion in her care.

A stallion that noticeably brightened up by her appearance.

The next arrival surprised everypony with the place she came from. The doors to the hospital slid open and through it came Fluttershy, a very satisfied look on her face and light limp in her walk.

Berry commented on it first, giving Fluttershy a light poke in the ribs. "You've been busy already, huh? How is Baldy treating you?"

Fluttershy put a jittery hoof through her mane to fix the disheveled state. "Fuzzy is a very nice stallion that likes to help ponies with their problems."

The relationship between the silent caretaker of animals and Hard Knock's new roommate was a weird one. Hard Knock had developed a sense of solidarity with the nurses because of his sleepless nights due to rutting in the neighboring bed. On every visit of the shy mare, they remedied Fluttershy's heat for hours and never talked more than a few words.

She needed a discreet way to get her rocks off.

He couldn't get her pregnant.

They fucked.

End of story.

In spite of their secrecy, a rumor was making the round and cemented itself into the town's folklore as the tale of the Randy Banshee. Nobody knew the details, but gossip pointed towards moans from the local hospital. Colts brave enough to investigate swore to hear the call of the banshee on full moon nights from their hiding spots in the bushes. That, and the faintest scent from the windows that made your dick hard and masturbation a hundred times more awesome!

"I bet he helps," Rainbow said with a knowing grin. "Was Big Mac also 'helpful' recently?"

"I think not, Rainbow. Mister Macintosh has obligations with me. Long and hard obligations." Berry pitched in with her sly grin and the adults glanced towards the blushing red stallion.

Everybody got the hint except for Applejack. "You said nothing about hard work. Do you need help?"

Big Mac paled as Berry waved his sister to her side, whispering something into her ear and making humping motions.

Over the ensuing mental breakdown of the apple sibling bellowed the laugh that Scootaloo hated so much. It hurt her ears as the mare laughed on and on, regardless if somepony joined in the laughter or not. Berry Punch didn't seem to care, always amused of herself and stupid adult things that the little filly didn't understand.

It was like hearing a foreign language or secret code. Just yesterday, she had listened in to a discussion about poultry. Scootaloo wasn't fond of chicken due to her unfortunate name and couldn't see what fascinated grownup mares about male ones.

Why would you care about their size or how big they grow? Cocks didn't lay eggs anyhow.

"Ok, ok enough with the stupid jokes before somepony dies of embarrassment." The gaze of Berry wandered around the group and took inventory. "Are we complete?"

"Pinkie prepares the surprise party at your place," Rarity answered. "She told me everything needed to be perfect for the return of Rainbow's special somepony!"

Berry's expression darkened at the mention of Pinkie. "Don't make me regret giving that marechild a key for my house."

The small grudge between the party planner and party mare was a known fact in town. Berry didn't like the childish tone of Pinkie's parties and hated the lack of adult entertainment. Nopony should call themselves an expert party planner when the party games barely went beyond spinning the bottle in maturity.

"Don't worry, Pinkie is a professional with pride in her work." Rarity opened her saddlebag with magic. "We are the same in that aspect. I almost didn't come today after a whole night of fixing."

Rainbow caught a piece of red cloth and unfolded the material into a familiar red flightsuit. "You're the best Rarity! You even added a zipper at the crotch!"

The mood of Rarity soured a little. "Can't have you rip it open anymore. I understand fits of passion, but as a seamstress, it pains me to see my work mishandled regularly."

The dressmaker worked nonstop to keep up with all the wear and tear from Rainbow's outfits. Both lovebirds had discovered their fetish for accessorizing the act of lovemaking. The flight cadet and her stern drill sergeant were their current favorite.

"I'm sorry for the trouble, Rares...."

"Don't be. Just tell me how it happened after our next workout." The unicorn bit her lip in anticipation. "In vivid detail."

"He didn't use his hooves or teeth to make that hole..." Rainbow whispered just loud enough so Rarity heard it.

Living your dirty fantasies through others was fun.

Two ponies watched the talking and bickering group from the inside of the hospital. The stallion sitting in a wheelchair had the biggest smile on his face while the nurse pushing him just smirked.

"You could be less happy to leave us, Mr. Berry," Nurse Redheart said in a playful and unusual tone for the stoic mare.

"I wouldn't want to overstay my welcome." So close to the end, Hard Knock reminisced about the past months. His time in Ponyville Hospital wasn't the worst memory, considering what he got away with doing and the patience of the medical staff. The nurses did their best for him and would do so for other patients long after Hard Knock was gone.

"Thanks. For everything."

On some level, they also had made this possible.

Redheart blushed a little from his sincerity. "No need for that. You two lovebirds gave us lonely mares plenty of entertainment, and Miss Shy won't stop coming soon."

Without another word, the nurse walked away, and the entrance door opened with a loud swooshing sound.

"I knew it..."

The last steps towards his friends and family were done by the strength of his own hooves, pushing the wheels of his chair. Everybody present had the desire to say something but kept their distance at the moment for Rainbow Dash.

"Twilight helped me make this present for you."

"Not another a feather, is it?" Hard Knock joked without thinking and bit his tongue for that verbal blunder. The failed proposal was still a sore subject for the mare. He mouthed a silent apology, and she accepted by waving it off.

"Just take it," Rainbow mumbled, rummaging in her saddlebag and shoving a cup against his chest. The thing looked like a cup from any other coffee shop with a lid on top to keep it hot. "Don't you dare not liking it!"

"It's only warm..." The breath hitched in his throat. She wouldn't present him lukewarm coffee as a gift and be so serious about it. He popped the lid and stared at the content in awe. Nostrils flared as his mind imprinted the unique scent of this beverage to memory.

"Drink it already!" Rainbow yelled, her face flush with embarrassment.

Hard Knock took a deep breath, put the cup to his lips and drank a huge gulp under her hopeful eyes. Creaminess flooded his mouth, its flavor strong and overpowering everything else. Sweet like honey and down his throat with velvety smoothness. Hard Knock forced himself to stop chugging, pulling the cup away from his mouth and licking the white ring around both lips with hungry eyes at his marefriend.

Hard Knock had found something that rivaled Rainbow's obsession with cider.

She released as sigh and nuzzled his chest. "Next time you can get it directly from the source." Rainbow did a noticeable hip shake with a quiet whisper into his ear. "My treat is just a small visit to Twilight away. Whenever you want to have a taste of me."

The hot blooded male couldn't control himself and pulled Rainbow into his lap. Boiling hormones in his body demanded a second sample before he settled for a deep kiss in front of everybody. The audience didn't stop his hoof from wandering. With the attention focused on their smooching faces, nobody noticed the stray caresses along two wet and pointy nubs on her crotch.

"It's milk. Looks weird." The adults turned to the sounds of a big gulp as Scootaloo was drinking from the cup. "I like it..." the small pegasus sported a similar milk beard around her smiling mouth after putting the cup down. "My tummy feels all warm and fuzzy!"

The weight and warmth of his marefriend vanished from Hard Knock's lap. In a fit of overwhelming and unfamiliar feelings, the mare snatched Scootaloo of the ground and cradled her in soft motion.

"Rainbow Dash?!" the filly bucked with her hindlegs in the air and stilled from the cup against her lips. She opened her mouth, getting fed through soft cooing sounds of her holder. Every act of protest got smothered by careful nuzzles and loving licks on her face or ears. The kid was sated and drowsy in seconds, falling asleep and snoring in Rainbow's hooves during the thorough tongue bath.

Rainbow stopped licking in the middle of the left wing, staring into the stunned faces of five ponies.

"What... what was that?"

"There's a note in the lid." Hard Knock unstuck the piece of paper from the cup and read out loud. "Dear Rainbow Dash, to achieve the necessary results I had to change your body to motherhood and back. Small side effects are to be expected."

Rainbow gulped. "What side effects?"

Hard Knock skimmed the letter further. "Strong increase in maternal instincts? Mammalian urge to protect and nourish your young? Should be temporary according to her."

"Should be!?" Rainbow trembled.

"You're shaking the child, Rainbow." She released her hold on the little pony with reluctance and laid her on Hard Knock's lap. The stallion stroked her mane like a pet and watched for a reaction. Scootaloo stirred before curling up with a content sigh. "So you have a soft spot for the little chicklet. Is that so bad? She's adorable!"

The sleeping filly scrunched up her muzzle from the nickname.

"Yes, she is," Rainbow relented, secretly wanting the little bundle back in her reach to smother with affection and curse her stupid hormones!

"That reminds me." Hard Knock threw something small at Rainbow to catch. "I've got something for you too."

Rainbow caught the jingling object and realized it was a small keyring. It had two keys and a pendant that looked like her cutie mark.

"Are we throwing out keys to our house to everyone now?" Berry huffed.

"You can give one to Mr. Macintosh in return," Hard Knock retorted through gritted teeth. "Besides, Rainbow will visit us often for private and for business reasons."

Berry's eyes turned to slits. "Business? Such as?"

Hard Knock had to suppress an eye roll. His sister was protective of her creation and wouldn't let anyone she didn't trust close to it. Not that she disliked Rainbow Dash, Berry just couldn't have their stock disappear in the endless gullet of the blue mare.

"Your cider is save, Berry. My wonderful marefriend volunteered at the hospital to be my caregiver until I'm fully healed."

"Rainbow will be your personal nurse?!" Rarity couldn't contain her squeals of excitement. "That's so adorable and sexy!"

"Physical therapist!" Rainbow Dash was offended by the wrong title. "My Wonderbolt training makes me more than capable to help his healing at home."

Rarity pouted. "Are you sure about that, darling? I have a uniform for the first job description." The sadness changed to mischief. "You will need workout clothes. Formfitting yoga pants?"

"Maybe later..." Rainbow tried to steer the conversation away, and her eyes fell on the perfect excuse, resting sound asleep in the lap of her coltfriend. "What about Scootaloo?"

This had the desired effect on Rarity. The seamstress had the common sense to avoid steamy subjects in front of a minor. She let Rainbow off the hook, but her determined eyes left no room for misunderstanding. Sexy pants to show off to her coltfriend were coming.

Rainbow wondered if she even should object to that.

"We let her sleep till the party," Hard Knock decided.

"Where?"

The Berry siblings looked at each other. "We... we made a guest room. It's the second key on the ring."

Rainbow mustered the two keys in her hoof again, noticing that they weren't identical.

"Don't lose it. We only have one."

The gesture behind this small piece of metal hit her hard.

"You can use it whenever you want."

A place just for her. A little spot in their home she could call her own.

"Of course, we will respect your privacy in your— "

She pulled her coltfriend into a second kiss.

"We should get going," Rarity drawled, fixated on the war of tongues like the rest. The world was lost and unimportant for the two, immersed in themselves as their moans and slurping noises got louder. "We can catch up at the party tonight."

"Yeah..." Berry approached the two and carefully plugged the sleeping Scootaloo from the lap of her brother. Neither Rainbow nor Hard Knock reacted to that, continuing to kiss each other with lots of tongue and biting of lips.

Fluttershy backed away. "I forgot something inside..."

"The mare has a great idea, Big Mac!" Berry watched Fluttershy hurry back into the hospital. "Care for more 'obligations' later? The brat can sleep in the soundproof guest room."

Big Mac nodded vigorously and left the side of his sister, who was approached by a grinning Rarity.

"About that spa visit darling... Today is an open spot for the pair pampering program."

Applejack ran from the surprisingly fit and agile unicorn on her tail, leaving Hard Knock and Rainbow Dash to enjoy the first morning of their shared life in intimacy.

The first of hopeful many to follow.
