During my shift at the library, Jade was humming in my head as I was looking through some books that were returned the day before. I walked down the aisles and putting the books back on their proper shelves while doing the same with the misplaced books. I hear the door open, as I finish putting the final book into the Geography section, to see Twilight trotting inside levitating a few books in her magical grasp.

"Good morning Emerson, almost finished with your sorting rounds?" Twilight asked as the books flew past me, going to their proper places.

"Yep, I just finished," I say stretching, "What's going on?"

"Oh, I just wanted to show you the portal that I spoke of." She informed me.

This made me perk up, "You mean the human portal that the Sirens were sent to?"

The purple Alicorn nodded, "Yes, I wanted to show you the portal just for today, I still have to talk to Sunset so she can wait on the other side for your arrival." She gestured me to follow her and I did.

'May I Emerson?' Jade asked as I internally nodded, "Ah, that's better." Twilight sort of jumped as her wings were ruffled up, "Hehe, sorry. It's just me Jade."

Twilight chuckled slightly, "Sorry that you had to see that. I'm not used to hearing you through Emerson just yet. Maybe I could make something so you could speak through."

I blinked as I looked at the crystal on my forearm and thought about it, 'Mind channeling your voice to the crystal on my forearm?' I asked her.

Jade was silent as we walked beside Twilight, 'I think I can?' She said as I see the crystal glowing.

"What's wrong?" Twilight asked either Jade or myself.

I spoke out, "Nothing just testing something out. You ok Jade?" I asked as I moved my forearm to my face.

"Ah, yes! I think I can, it's a little weird though." Jade said through the crystal.

Twilight's mouth was in an o shape while looking in as we stopped, "I guess the crystal appeared when you combined with Jade?"

"Yes, Twilight, while I am confused why a single crystal surfaced on Emerson's right forearm. It should be a compromise for taking over Emerson's mouth while I can still see and hear through him." Jade informed Twilight as we approached the supposed room.

There was a sudden 'whoosh' noise coming from the entrance of the library, the sounds of hooves clopping on the crystal floor were coming towards us.

"Twilight!" It was Rainbow Dash who called the Purple Alicorn who turned her head.

"Rainbow? Didn't you have Wonderbolts training today?" Twilight asked.

Ignoring her question, "The girls found something at the edge of the Everfree Forest while Fluttershy was guiding a flock of geese to her sanctuary."

Twilight blinked, "What did you find?"

I glanced at the room and my eyes land upon a mirror that was attached to many machines. This must be the portal that Twilight was talking about, however, I had to dismiss it to return to Twilight and Rainbow's conversation.

"What do you mean you found a pony who that was walking without any eyeballs?" Twilight asked as Rainbow Dash was rolling her eyes.

"Like I said, Fluttershy was appalled by what she saw and that thing is still wandering around in and out the Everfree. We have to take care of it." Rainbow explained.

I lifted a finger, "I think we should investigate instead of standing here." I pointed out.

"I agree, we can't do anything while we're here," Jade spoke out that made the cyan pegasus nearly fall on her flank.

"Whoa! Is that the crystal thingy that you were talking about Twilight?" She asked.

Before Twilight could speak, Jade continued, "Yes and my name is Jade, while the greeting is nice and all, let's get back to the situation at hand or.... er... hoof?"

Twilight nodded, "Of course," She turned to Rainbow, "I'm going to teleport Rainbow and I to our friends. Until then, you can stay here until we get back."

While Jade internally scoffed at being left behind, I gave them a small smile, "Alright, just be careful."

With that, Twilight and Rainbow Dash were gone with an audible popping sound. When they were gone, I decided to head towards the cutie map room to lounge around. Entering the room, I gazed upon the roots of the Golden Oak's Library. It's really amazing to think that Twilight's friends were able to help out her when she was sad that her home was destroyed.

"Emerson?" Jade asked aloud.

"Yes?" I said looking at the crystal on my forearm.

"What is that dark cloudy mist forming around that ram's skull sitting on the mountain?" Jade wondered as I too looked at it and was surprised.

"I... I have no idea." Saying honestly as I approached the table and touched my hands on the table to lean forward to get a better look.

All of a sudden the map reacted to the crystal on my forearm and something surged through me, "Oh fucking hell!" I shout as I tried to pull my arm away but it seems my hand couldn't move. There was a sudden flash of light to which I was blinded. After relentless tugging and pulling my hand was released as I land on the floor and slide back. I groaned as my eyes opened up to see Twilight, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, and Rainbow's eyes looking back at me with a surprised expression.

"Um... I didn't do it?" I said.

Twilight's eyebrow was raised as her friends gazed upon the table, "You might want to see the map yourself."

Quickly getting up on my feet, I look to see that the map had changed. Not much for the terrain, but what was hovering above it. Blinking, I walked forward as I heard the sounds of hooves clopping right behind me.

Then I noticed it was quiet in my head. I glanced at the crystal on my forearm to see that it was still there. "Jade?" I asked aloud.

"I'm here Emerson, just... Trying to process what was given to me..." Jade groaned as I can just see her just rubbing her forehead with her arm.

"Did... Did something happened Emerson?" Twilight asked.

"Yeah, the map is filled with a dark shadow that's coming from the ram's skull," I informed them as I hesitantly touched the table again.

"It seems to be spreading from that location," Fluttershy commented as she took a seat at her spot.

"But what is this turquoise crystal that's at the Castle of the Two Sisters?" Rarity wondered as she looked at it closer.

"Sounds to me that the location is close to the Tree Of Harmony." Applejack pointed out.

Pinkie snuck up from behind while holding my forearm, "I think the table is calling Emerson you guys!" They all looked at my forearm, to which I did and it was glowing a turquoise color.

"Um... Jade, mind telling me what happened?" I wondered as Twilight teleported in her notes and a pen.

Jade cleared her throat audibly through the crystal, "I've... Connected to the Cutie Map and it's telling Emerson and I to head to the Tree of Harmony." She was silent for a bit, probably processing more information, "I think... I think the Tree of Harmony wants to talk to Emerson and I."

I nodded, as I look to Twilight, "What happened at the edge of the EverFree?"

Twilight's ears were splayed back when I asked, "There was an undead stallion that was walking around, but when we got to it, he dropped dead and disintegrated into dust." She sighed, "It was the workings of a Necromancer."

"You mean Unicorns raising the undead?" Rainbow wondered.

"Yes, but it doesn't limit from unicorns, anypony with magic can raise the undead, but the term Necromancer was lost to history and writing it off as a Mare's Tale." Twilight informed us.

"So I believe Celestia begged to differ?" Rarity said while rubbing her hoof on the table.

Twilight nodded again, "While we could head to the mountain that's causing the disturbance, I'm more curious about what the Tree of Harmony has to say."

"Yes," Fluttershy spoke up, "while the Tree did give us this lovely castle, I for one would like to thank the Tree for helping us along the way."

"Yeah, even though we can't throw a party for it, we can just say thank you for, oh, I don't know saving Equestria multiple times?" Pinke said pulling out a cupcake from her mane to eat it, "Mmm! Chocolate frosting."

I turned to Rainbow and glanced at Applejack, "What do you two think?"

"While I don't like to divert our journey for a side quest, I personally don't mind it at all." Applejack said tipping her hat.

Rainbow shrugged, "Eh, I'm cool with whatever."

I look to Twilight and nodded for her to speak, "Then it settled, we go to the EverFree this afternoon." She looked at me, "Are you going to bring Catrina or Stratus with you?"

I shook my head, "Stratus has a shift while Catrina locked herself in the basement with a new brew that's she's working on. I hope she doesn't make the house blow up." I chuckled as I scratched the back of my head.

Twilight, Rainbow, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and I made our way to the cave entrance of the Tree of Harmony to which Twilight stopped her friends with her hoof stretched out.

"Alright, I know we were going to accompany Emerson to the Tree of Harmony, but I'm breaking my own rules here." She sighed.

"Oh? You mean don't get in the way of our friends that have a friendship problem?" Fluttershy asked.

Applejack chuckled, "Oops... Forgot about that, it's been so long since we had that sort of thing."

"Quite so!" Rarity exclaimed, "I do agree with Twilight on this one, we can't interfere when the table calls for either of us, that includes you, Emerson."

I nodded as Pinkie was bouncing up and down, "If the Tree says anything makes sure you get to say our thanks!"

"Will do," I said turning around as I headed straight into the cave.

"Emerson?" Twilight asked as I turned my head to see her, "We'll be out here when you're finished."

Smiling, I nod as I continued inside. The cave was thriving in nature, Lilly pads were sitting in naturally made ponds as natural light was peeking out from the ceiling, making the beautiful crystal tree glisten. Just as Twilight described to me, each branch held her and her friend's elements that represented them. Down at the trunk was Celestia's and Luna's cutie marks engraved on it; probably symbolizing that both Luna and Solar Princess's can use all six elements at once.

"Walk closer, Emerson." That made me jump when Jade spoke aloud through my forearm.

"Jeez, you need a bell or something," I said calming down my heart rate.

Jade giggled, "Sorry, I'll give you some warning next time."

I sighed as I complied with what Jade told me to do. Walking forward, I reached for the trunk of the tree and before my hand would touch the trunk of the tree, I froze.

"What is wrong Emerson?" Jade asked.

"I know I didn't feel pain when I first touched the table back at the castle, but there is something telling me that it will happen in a different way," I explained.

"I know how you feel, I was scared when I was connected to the Equestrian Map type of network and all the information was flowing and filling me with it. I'm a bit hesitant as well, but we have to do this, that is if you want."

Sighing as shook my head, "Once this is over, I'm just going to ask for a vacation. Sound good to you?"

I could feel a warm smile radiating from my body, "Very much so."

With a deep breath my hand touches the trunk of the tree and when I closed my eyes, everything went into a bright light. There was a feeling of being hugged as I heard someone's voice.

"Hello Emerson," A new voice said.

I opened my eyes to find myself suspended in a very turquoise colored space and to my left was Jade still in her outfit from my dream. When I looked in front of me, however, I saw that the Tree of Harmony was huge and pulsing with magic.

I blinked, "Was that you, that spoke?" I asked the Tree.

"Yes, it is." She confirmed.

"How... How are you speaking to me? I thought Starswirl didn't add anything to you." I said thinking back to our conversation.

"While our creator didn't do much with me, he didn't consider that Jade and I are from the same vein of crystal when the Pillars found us." She informed.

Jade spoke finally, "She is communicating through me, in simpler terms, we are sisters in a sense."

"Alright, that part I can understand." I said, "Now, I have to ask, why did you or the Cutie Map call me here?"

There was silence between the three of us, it was quite unnerving, then she spoke, "An old evil has risen from my prison, he is weak, but getting stronger with each passing moon. His name is Grogar."

Jade and I share a glance as I spoke, "Is he the reason why my friends saw an undead pony?"

"Yes, this is just a small fraction of what he can do. I'm sure you're going to ask why you were brought here." I nodded, "I wanted to warn you first because it would be the best solution to inform the Element bearers."

Everything seemed to make sense now. I was very confused on when I touched the table during our confrontation with Starswirl and Jade didn't react to me, it was because the Tree of Harmony herself didn't want me yet. Also, to find out that Jade and the Tree were sisters was a plus as well.

Then this leads to a bigger question, "I'm guessing that I would have to help my friends on their journey?"

"Very observant of you, Emerson. With what I'm going to 'teach' to Jade, you can support them with what you already possess." I was waiting for her to say what I have until it clicked.

"You mean... How I'm not affected by magic whatsoever?"

"Yes, this includes necromancy as it is a type of magic, but your friends will be affected if Grogar strikes upon them." She informed me.

"That's going to be very useful to know, I'll inform them."

"That would be most appreciated, is there anything else before I begin the process?"

"Oh! Right, Twilight, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Rarity wanted to thank you for all that you provided to save Equestria multiple times," I said with a smile.

"I am grateful for them as well, there is so little I can do with my Elements, other than keeping natural evils away." The Tree said, "If that is all you have to say then-"

"Wait." I said raising my hand, "There is one more question before you do."

"Very well, what is your question?"

"I know that the Storm King somehow got me here, but I wanted to know, did you have anything to do with it?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

Once again there was silence, "While Storm King drained all of Four Princesses magic, I decided that I had enough. It was a small command of magic mind you, but it was enough to call out a being not from our world, no, not from our universe that wasn't affected by magic. One long strand of lightning was able to choose you, Emerson, it would have chosen someone else if it was aimed somewhere else. Despite me telling you this, I feel that you have no anger towards me."

"No, I'm not angry at you, despite not being able to see what family I have left, I don't think I ever want to return back at all." I said twiddling my fingers, "At least I got to know what really happened."

Jade spoke, "I'm sure Twilight and the others would be happy to know as well."

I nodded as I looked at the Tree, "I'm ready when you are."

"Very well, it's time for you to know your full potential." She informed me as the space around me turned into a series of multiple colors being cycled around. Rasberry, pink, red, blue, orange, and purple were being repeated over and over as it got brighter each time. Before I blacked out, the Tree of Harmony spoke, "Let Equestria's Harmony guide you."

That's the end of Part I everyone! Yay! You guys did great, the statistics chapter will be released soon so you guys can see what you guys voted on and summaries of what could have been if you were to choose the other cities instead of Ponyville. Then there will be another announcement within that chapter, as well as a blog post of how I'll be dealing with the voting in the future. For now, I hoped that everyone had enjoyed this experience, despite being buried in College homework.
