Telling The Truth To A Loved One For Their Own Good

Twilight was making dinner for herself and Spike as the day was winding down, she wondered how Spike's day was going as she hadn't talked to him about it for a while and she was just curious about how he was. She hoped that he didn't mind her asking him.

Twilight wondered what was bothering Spike, she burned with curiousity as she needed to know what happened to him, she knew that it was wrong to try and probe friends or family about their problems but she just had to prove him or he might never tell her and suffer in silence.

As she made dinner she wondered what he was thinking now, she set the dining room and called him out for dinner, she thought that it was strange for Spike to be in his room all day so that scared her. She was scared that something happened to Spike that caused him to be so quiet.

As she thought about Spike she had realized how different he was being silent so she decided that maybe she should ask him about his day, his behavior worried her as she feared that something was bothering Spike. She hoped that he would tell her so she could help him with his problem.

Soon Twilight called Spike out to dinner and they began to eat, as they ate Spike thought of a good response to Twilight if she asked him if he had a problem, she didn't want to scare him and put pressure on him but she needed to know in order to help Spike sort out the problem that Spike was having.

As they ate Twilight waited to bring it up with Spike, she didn't want to make him feel bad for having a problem. She looked at him for a bit and saw that he was pretty silent, it bothered her so she finally had enough of it and spoke.

"Spike are you alright? You've been shy all day and it's starting to scare me. Is something bothering you? What happened that made you quiet like this? Is it something I did, I'll apologize if that's the case. Twilight asked him, Spike froze in fear. Twilight noticed this.

"I'm perfectly fine Twilight you don't need to worry about me." Spike said in an uneasy voice. Twilight stopped eating and looked at him with a worried glance, she knew that something was definitely wrong. Spike saw her expression and knew that she wasn't going to stop asking.

"You don't sound fine to me, please I want to know what's going on Spike, you can tell me anything, I'm not going to blab your business I promise you. Twilight told Spike. Twilight touched Spike's shoulder. Spike sighed as he looked win a worried expression.

"Do you promise you'll still love me even if you find out about what is on my mind?" Spike asked, Twilight smiled as she thought that Spike knew the answer to that.

"I'll always love you no matter what! You can tell me Spike, I think I can handle it. Twilight told him. Spike nervously rubbed his hands together, he knew that Twilight was telling the truth but he was afraid that she might change her mind if he told her his secret. Spike decided to tell her in order to get it over with.

"Twilight you are a great friend but sometimes you act out and you lash out at me....you also have OCD, I think your mentally ill Twilight and you need help, I'm not trying to offend you I'm trying to help you out. Please don't be mad." Spike said.

Twilight was perfectly quiet as Spike spoke the truth about her, it was difficult to accept but she had to realize it before she could seek help. She felt bad that she has acted like that, she knew that she needed to change. She knew that she had problems but she always ignored them but now she couldn't do that anymore. She sighed.

"I know Spike, I was worried you would talk about this but I know that I can't stop you from saying the truth, I have problems and I admit that, there are times where I hurt the ponies I love with my behavior. I'm sorry for anything that I said against you." Twilight said as she got tears in her eyes.

"It's alright Twilight I forgive you for all of the stuff that you have done because I know you can't help it and I don't want that stuff to damage our relationship, you can't help it on your own and I realize that, I'm not trying to make you be ashamed of yourself, that's not why I brought it up, I brought it up so you could get help for yourself." Spike said as he hugged her.

Twilight and Spike hugged it out as Twilight cried silently as she was grateful for how Spike was so forgiving of her for all of the stuff that she had done to Spike. Spike hoped that she could get help, he would help her with that in any way he could help. They finally stopped hugging and Twilight spoke.

"I'll get help Spike, I appreciate you trying to tell me this stuff as I need to hear it, I'll improve my behavior with therapy, it will be difficult but I think I can change for the better. I promise to stop myself from lashing out at you and I promise to stop my other problems." Twilight said. Spike smiled as he accomplished in his task to make Twilight realize the truth.

"That's great news, I'll always be here to support you no matter what the issue is. You'll beat this problem as you beat every problem, This problem does not change the fact that I love you Twilight." Spike said, Twilight smiled as he hugged her. They broke away from the embrace as they were both glad that this issue didn't drive them apart. Twilight kept her promise as she got help for her problems and improved for Spike and her friends sake as well as for herself.
