Dear Gemm,

I hope everything is doing well at Resistance Base #2. If you need any help, we can send extra soldiers over to your base camp. Everything is doing well at Base #1. Resistance Base #3  is not doing so well. Transfer a few medical ponies there if you can. I do hope Skittia is taking the loss of her brother: Shoy alright. As for military matters, you can begin the raid on Whinnypeg and the Gemstone Mines. Lightning Dash has almost got control over the entire area of Cloudsdale. I'm afraid this is all I can report.

Misty finished her letter to Gemm and sent it to her using magic. "How are things at Town Square?" Misty asked.

"Not so well General" Appleseed sighed. "Solaria's guards are even stronger here than in Canterlot!"

"Well, send more soldiers there then!" Misty demanded.

'Yes, General" Appleseed saluted and then walked away. As soon as Appleseed left General Misty's library, he went to send more soldiers to Ponyville's Town Square.

"How is the search for Starlight going?" Misty asked her assistant, Quell.

"We have covered almost all of the Everfree Forest. The Ruins of the Pony Sisters are guarded heavily, however, and we cannot get in'' Quell informed Misty.

"That must be where they are keeping her then" Misty concluded. "Send team Alpha 6 there and tell them to go in camo" she added. Quell walked away. *How am I ever going to win this without Starlight's help?* she thought to herself.

In Town Square, Appleseed was fighting a big army guard with his own two hooves. When the Solarian Guard was captured, He looked around him and sighed. Everything was so much more peaceful before Celestisa died. Now, the bright pink apartments were rusty and the Main Building was torn down. Ponies were fighting in the middle while both sides were resting further back.

"What happened to all this peace?" Appleseed grumbled. His cousins were fighting all over Equestria in the places where they used to sell apples. Sweet Apple Acres went from a farm to the heart of the military base. He remembered that day clearly:

It was a peaceful day. The apartments were as bright as ever and the hover-wagons flew by. Suddenly, the ground started to rumble. Appleseed, Misty, Palooza, Lightning, Skittia, and Gemm were just young mares and stallions. All at once, royal guards charged everywhere. They destroyed homes and ponies, they crushed all Equestrian symbols, they hung signs with Solaria's face on them. All at once, ponies were enslaved and Equestria was colored yellow. It was dangerous even to walk outside for no reason. Socializing was forbidden and everypony was miserable. A few months later, Misty and her friends launched an attack that was carefully planned and eventually started the war. The friends split into three groups and spread out with different ponies. The Resistance grew bigger and stronger. Gemm and Skittia got hold of Stalliongrad. Palooza and Lightning regained control over part of Cloudsdale and Dragon Mountain. Finally, Misty and Appleseed got back Sweet Apple Acres and the area around Skittia's 6x great grandmother's cottage. Then the all-out war began.

"Captain watch out!" a mare cried as she threw herself in front of Appleseed. A guard was about to use his magic to tear Appleseed into shreds but, the mare had saved him with her shield. The guard became distracted with another pony and ran away as the other two charged towards the base.

"Thank you...er.." Appleseed started.

"Allyris, I'm Allyris" the mare replied. Now that Appleseed was in the safety of her old home, she could see Allyris' features clearly. She was a light tea-ish green and had golden honey braids. She had the rough and tumble look in her eye and seemed like a pony who wasn't afraid to get her hooves dirty.

"We should get back to fighting" Appleseed suggested shyly.

"Oh,yeah.." Allyris smiled. She tossed him her shield. "You might wanna use this more often, Captain" she added beore running back into battle. Appleseed then smiled for the first time in ages.

"General Misty! Code 314!" Quell shouted. "Code 314!"

"What happened that is this important?" Misty asked eagerly.

"Two soldiers didn't show up at mid-day attendance ma'am" Quell answered. "There's more...the two soldiers that didn't show was Allyris and...Captain Appleseed."

"What! Impossible! Appleseed couldn't have gone! He's a CAPTAIN after all!" Misty sighed. Before anything could be done, Appleseed burst through the door.

"Misty! Sorry I missed attendance, I was being attacked and Allyris was helping. We kinda went out of the battle zone. Please forgive us!" he explained.

Misty sighed, "Do not let this happen again Captain, you are excused. Go to the mess hall and then straight back to fighting"

As Appleseed left, Misty walked out into the mess herself and found Allyris. "Hello Allyris, a word please" the General calmly said.

"Is this about the incident with the Captain? I'm so sorry we went off track General, please for-" Allyris started. Misty cut her off.

"I just want to kno what happened. Start at the very beginning. Go!"

Appleseed walked back outside where the ponies were fighting. He sighed as he thought about what had happened. He nearly got into trouble! If only he were paying attention. "How could I have let this happen?" he asked himself.

"Are you alright Captain?" the head nurse Heally asked. "You look a bit worried. Is there anything wrong?"

"I'm fine Heally" Appleseed sighed. "Just..never mind" he answered as he charged back to battle. With Allyris' shield, he could fight a lot better. He was fierce and fast. But the whole the time, her thought about Allyris...
