Chapters Prologue Part One: Awakening
Author's Note
This is a retelling of the Rise of Lord Naturus, one I plan to be better than the original. Instead of killing them, Naturus would seize the throne, forcing all sentient races to bow down to his might, yet sparing them.
Prologue Part One: Awakening

"...and I have but one duty now..." Nightmare Moon said.
"...to destroy you!!!" She shot a laser at a spooked Celestia who flew up, flying through the hole in the roof just in the nick of time.
"...and where do you think you're going?" Nightmare said as she too flew upwards into the sky, chasing her sister, taking the fight to the star-speckled skies of the night. Nightmare shot another laser at Celestia, who again dodged it, flying upwards and to her right as another one struck a random tower. Celestia kept dodging lasers while being chased by her possessed sister. Said lasers struck things like windows, roofing and a support bridge, which one of the pillars fell to the ground.
Nightmare shot another laser, and this time, it hit Celestia, causing her to fall to the ground, or rather the castle floor through a hole in the roof, leaving her seemingly unconsciousness for a few moments until she got up, looking at Nightmare in anger and sadness.
"Oh dear sister, I am sorry, but you have given me no choice, but to use these!" she said as she used her magic to open a secret hatch in the floor. Cogs and gears clanked happily as the stone contraption turned and rose up from the ground.
Celestia flew upwards and once again used her magic, this time taking five certain jewels from holes in the machine, and from the central sphere, a six-star-shaped gemstone rose up. Celestia circled the gemstones around her so fast that it was a blur. She stopped using her wings and used the energies of the gemstones levitated up to Nightmare Moon.
Nightmare Moon charged up a sky blue blast while Celestia swirled the gemstones around her.
Both were preparing to unleash the powerful bursts of energy when a deep rumbling.
"Huh?" they both said.
"FOOLISH HORSES!!!"
The voice was deep, rumbling, and had a strange echo to it. Celestia looked to the Tree of Harmony, to see it was shaking like mad.
"W-w-we are not hors-s-s-es, we're p-p-ponies..." Celestia said in fear. Even Nightmare Moon was scared by the sudden outburst. White light burst from the Tree of Harmony, causing a visible aura to form around, an aura that vibrates to the voice's speech.
"I DON'T CARE, AND TO BE HONEST, I CANNOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE, ANYWAYS, YOU REALLY THINK I WOULD LET YOU USE MY GEMSTONES FOR YOUR OWN CHILDISH WHIMS FOR ANY LONGER THAN THIS!!!"
"I d-didn't mean to offend you, Mr. Voice, but-" Celestia said.
"Oh what, I was just getting what was rightfully-" Nightmare said.
Both alicorns were talking at the same time before they were interrupted by a now angry Tree of Harmony.
"SILENCE, PEASANTS!!!"
Both alicorns were shocked about it. No one would DARE to talk to them like that.
"You are not the one to call me peasant, you stupid vegetable. I'm the true Queen of Equestria, and you are the one that has to bow down!!!" Nightmare said as she charged a blast at the Tree, but to her surprise, it just bounced off, unaffected.
"Wow, that's a foul ball! Oh, and I forgot to mention, which I didn't forget to mention that I'm immune to magic. I was suppressing it just so I can see what you would do with my power, and I'm not pleased!" The Tree said, regaing his compsure after a laugh at Nightmare's failure. He was dead serious about that.
When Celestia regained her composure, she said "How come you have magic but you are immune to it? It makes no sense!"
"You are foolish, mortal. My energies are not magic at all, but something else entirely, now, I know you are shocked about the incident, but when I reveal my true form, well, BEHOLD!!!" the Tree said as the Elements of Harmony were snatched from Celestia's magical grasp and latched back onto the Tree. The crystalline surface broke apart, letting out smoke, the crystals were then absorbed by the being within.
"What in Equestria is that thing!!!" Celestia said as the smoke cleared.
What she saw looked nothing like a pony. The being was bipedal in structure, and had dark blue skin all over, with indigo-blue markings on his hips, arms, hands and legs. Five horn-like structures stood where his head should be. By far the strangest feature the being had was that instead of a face, he had one huge eye, reminiscient of a cat's or snake's, resting on the front of his head. As soon as his eye opened. He spread his birdlike wings, which had indigo claws on them, releasing a shockwave of white energy, lightning striking the ground on either side of this strange, new being. Both Nightmare and Celestia's jaws dropped (literally) to the ground when they saw the being. They thought Discord looked strange, but the 'Sapien of Harmony' made Discord look like he fit in in every way.
"I AM NATURUS!!!" the being yelled.
"Now, I have business to do..." he said, before pointing a finger at them.
"AND IT INVOLVES YOUR DEATH!!!"
Naturus held out both of his hands, letting out white and golden energy burst out of them. Both Nightmare Moon and Celestia lost control over the sun and moon, watching the two celestial bodies seemingly merge. They expected both to shatter into a million pecies and rain down from the skies, but instead, the product was a black sphere surrounded by a corona of light. Both sisters had to shield their eyes at the new eclipse, Celestia was screaming in pain, both alicorns fell to the ground and something ignited.
Luna's Mind
The Pesadilla has taken over Luna's mind for only a while, drowning her soul in the shadowy swarm that is Pesadilla, which digested most of the poor alicorn's soul, leaving Luna to only be able to see and hear what was going on. "I hath failed to protect myself... and my sister... and now the Tree hath become something resemblant to thy 'humans' Discord hath talked about..."
Luna was about to wonder what would happen next when she noticed that Celestia was, screaming in agony. Whatever Naturus did was either poisoning Celestia or she fell on a stalagmite. Whatever the case, she wanted to help her sister, and her desire to help her sister, almost sealed by the Pesadilla, gained more and more strength. "I hath to taketh... take back control..." she said, budging with her new strength through the Pesadilla. "I need... to save her..."

"Pesadilla, thou art nothing but a phantom, be gone from thy life..." Luna said, fighting the Pesadilla, and found it's sweet spot, a magenta and red crystal. She rammed into the crystal, shattering it into pieces.
NoooOOoooOooOOooOOoOOoo!!!
The Pesadilla faded into a gentle ball of light, which went into Luna.
Celestia shielded her eyes with her free hoof, being bathed in the light of the new body and being crushed by the overflow of several energies. "Why... how..." she said. She was about to lose hope when a blue flash of light filled her eyes. She expected Nightmare Moon struggling to escape, but in her place, she saw a dark blue alicorn mare with black gradient on her legs and snout, a pair of wings similar to Nightmare Moon's, and a mane, again similar, but with more stars. The alicorn was decked in black regalia, complete with a crown. The new alicorn's cutie mark was the same as Luna's, and Celestia knew it now once the alicorn opened her eyes. Instead of the catlike slits of Nightmare, the exact same eyes of the Luna she once knew, not altered the slightest.
"Lulu... is that you?" Celestia said. "What the?" Naturus said, never expecting that, and the energy shock became more gentle. Just as Celestia got up, the new Luna tackle-hugged her.
"Sister... I'm glad I'm back..." Luna said, crying in tears of joy.
"And I missed you, the real you. Looks like you have a new look." Celestia said as Luna turned at herself, looking, and seeing that she had became a combination of her old self and Nightmare Moon.
"Shhh, let it all out, whatever you did was worth it."
"Yes... a touching reunion." The two alicorns looked to see Naturus slowly clapping his hands. He laughed and said "I guess I should put those touching words on your tombstones." Celestia and Luna looked down at themselves to see plundervines growing.
"EEK!!"
Both alicorns jumped upwards, taking to the skies, just of of the vines' reach.
"You really think taking to the air would prevent your doom. Give up! You're rule is through!!! Your kingdom's now mine!!! Time to bow down to me!!!" Naturus said as he held his hands outwards again, this time creating a gem-studded titanium sword for each hand, each one with a golden hilt.
"Let's do this, let us do this once and for all."
Prologue Part Two: Takeover

Everything has changed since Naturus took over the world. New plants grew on the soil, new animals walked the earth, and nature operated to its own accord. Ponies, buffalo, deer and griffons had to put aside their differences in order to deal with the newer and harsher world that Emperor Naturus rules over. Over the course of a thousand years, new batches of flora and fauna were added from their universes by Naturus to his own universe (mostly because of boredom), forcing the races to prepare every time.
As for Discord, he sat in silence as he watched the world change around him. No one knows what happened to him, but some believed that he went to another universe, knowing Naturus is too strong for him and the fact he is immune to all forms of magic.
Naturus himself ruled former Canterlot as his own when he teleported it a few mile northeast, introducing deer, griffons, yaks, earth ponies, pegasi, minotaurs, cat people, diamond dogs and a few other species to the city as new residents. The alicorns were killed off in front of Canterlot's residents. All except for Mi Amore Cadenza, who has escaped and was aged back to a filly by Naturus when he found and imprisoned her, deciding what he should do with her.
Naturus sent poor Cadence flying forward in time, a few years before Celestia and Luna would return. And he KNEW they would. He knew about the spell. He wanted to make them see what happens. He then hypnotized the world's sentient beings, making them forget all about the alicorns and the incident, making them think it's always been that way. He will do the same to Cadence, making her think she was something special. Naturus is well aware of the one thousand year rule, and waited. In the one thousand year time gap, he has watched the world, and figured out some juicy details.
He noted that the ponies never forgot about the values of friendship, even in a hostile, self-operating world without alicorns. Man, their friendship was stronger than he thought it was. Though, he guessed it was for the best, seeing ponies and griffons forced to team up in that harsher, slightly colder world. Naturus wondered if there was more where that came from. Even with him as ruler, that did not stop them from establishing 'kingdoms' and 'republics' across the world.
During these first 100 years, he managed Natropolis (former Canterlot) and mined the upper half of Mt. Canterhorn to expand the city to accommodate the new residents and relocating the spring Natropolis's center. Second, he converted the old Canterlot Castle into a gatehouse and added walls, complete with guard towers. Third, the guy added two farms and one pasture next to the north and south walls. Finally, at the east wall, he constructed his brand new castle on the east side, and made Natropolis the capitol city of Earth itself.
Now, the clock's ticking. It was almost one thousand years, and he knew it was time.
A lone cyan rainbow-maned pegasus flew over the legendary Natropolis, taking note of how beautiful it was. The walls were made from white brick with rimming of gold at the edges, with blue battlements. Each guard tower was proud and strong, and had purple cones at their centers. The gatehouse was built in a whimsical style, and some even said it was once a castle. It was evident that it was modified due to more battlements and a boxier build. Just behind it was a tall guard base/tower, bigger than any guard building in the sprawling city. Looking into the city itself, she saw housing, a market square, and to the east, Naturus's great citadel, gleaming like a diamond, a beacon of hope and joy for the Natropolians. Truly, this was a community of its own. Close in the walls and you'd still have food and water for a possibly infinitely long time. Prism Strike decided to go into the city itself.
Various flying races are going in and out of the city, so why can't she? And she did. Prism Strike went down to investigate, when she neared the ground, two guards walked to her. Naturus's soldiers did not belong to any known race. They were bipedal beings with four arms and one eye, and they looked like they were made of some kind of iron armor. One carried a spear and another bore a sword.
"State your name." one of the guards said.
"Prism. Prism 'Dash' Strike." the pegasus said.
"Why are you here?" the other guard said.
"I came to look around. Is the market open?" Prism said.
"The market just near here. If you see a water spring and tents, you are golden. Fun fact: The water here is pure and can never be poisoned. If you intend to poison it, well, even though that is stupid, we'll find you." the guard said in a more warning tone. After the guards left, Prism Strike flew aimlessly until she found some tents and a fountain. Had to be the marketplace.
As Prism flew, she took note of all the residents, deer, griffons, yaks and other races were in this melting pot. She looked to her left and saw an animal auction. A guard walked by with an attack raptor covered in red feathers on a leash, some small sauropodomorphs were at an auction pad with a salesman talking about them. A few tents could be made out with rugs, fruit, meat, wine, furniture and clocks in them. People of all species were all around, and she saw a few slaves bound by chains.
It was not long until Prism bumped into a pink mare with a purple, red and yellow mane and cyan eyes. Her cutie mark was a cyan heart with two lines under it. What's even weirder was that she had a HORN and WINGS. BOTH OF THEM! Prism Strike did not even know that was possible, as she studied genetics well enough. A unicorn AND a pegasus, WEIRD! Prism just simply stared at her.
"That reaction is common, but I'm not affended." the pegacorn?-type thing said.
"My name's Cadence. Pleasure to meet you." Cadence said, shaking Prism's hoof.
"The name's Prism. Prism Strike. I'm not trying to affend you, but how are you a unicorn and a pegasus at the same time?" Prism Strike said, causing Cadence to sigh in sadness.
"I have no idea why I'm like that, or what my cutie mark means. In fact, I don't know who my parents are." Cadence said, setting on a sadder tone. Prism Strike noticed it and patted Cadence's back as the pegacorn told her story.
"I don't remember anything until a few years ago, when I woke up in the alleys. All I remember is my name: Mi Amore Cadenza. All else was just a blur, just a hazy fog. I decided to explore the alleyway to try to find out who I really am. And then I wandered into the streets and saw various faces starring at me. Sooner or later, I was accepted, but I never let the city." Cadence said, wiping a tear with her hoof.
"Wow, what a story. Now, if we see each other, I'll bring my friend Swallowtail with me. Bye!" Prism said, leaving a rainbow trail behind her as she zoomed through the skies. Cadence then walked away, knowing she had encounters like this before. She walked through the apartments to find a lavender unicorn that had a navyblue mane with a pink strip in it. Her cutie mark was a magenta star with six points. Six more points were there in white, and five smaller stars surrounded the main one.
"Violet Star, good to see you again. You won't believe the number of flyers there are today." Cadence giggled.
"I don't believe it either, Cadence. And that doesn't count sentient beings. Birds, pterosaurs, giant insects, flying fish and wyverns are flying as well. Come on in." Violet said as she opened the door, letting her alicorn friend in. Violet finished brewing her tea. Cadence pulled out a chair in a teal aura while Violet took hers in a purple aura.
"So, Cadence, how were you today?" Violet Star said as she poured the tea into her cups.
"I've been walking around the city, and it's mostly been usual. At least I have a roof over my head, being a babysitter was my best decision yet." Cadence said as Violet grinned smugly.
"Remember our secret hoofshake?"
"Yes." Cadence said as the two jumped off their chairs and began chanting.
"Ladybug, ladybug, sunshine awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!" the two said as they plopped onto the couch, just as a raptor hatchling/chick walked in. More specifically, a Bambiraptor. Unlike most Bambiraptors, this one had purple downy feathers and a green underside, with green wing and tail feathers. The raptor looked at Twilight and was holding a tray of triangular sandwiches.
"Spike, you got the sandwiches, right?" Violet Star said.
"Right, Violet. I have them. Do you want some punch with them?" the raptor, apparently named Spike, said,, holding a pitcher of red punch as the two levitated some sandwiches and took bites out of them while Violet nodded in a 'no' fashion.
"More for me, then." Spike said as he chomped on his sardines, wagging his tail and drinking punch.
"Cadence, remember that time we met in the park?" Violet Star said as she levitated another sandwich.
"Yes. You were so full of questions back then." Cadence laughed as she thought about the memories. Violet Star's parents spotted her and asked Cadence if she wanted to babysit their little girl. Babysitting Twilight was the best decision she made, and she had a new friend that she can have for years to come. In fact, the two had a close bond.
"It's been ten years, can't you belive it?" Cadence said before walking out.
"It's been swell seeing you, bye!" Cadence closed the door, and as she walked, a guard looked at her, sighing.
The guard walked through the battlements and headed eastward, going to the great citadel. He kept walking until he reached the throne room, where he met the big man himself, Naturus. A thousand years passed, and Naturus decided to ditch the wings, as he did not really need them at all. He was also clothed in red robes and gold
"My emperor, it's nearly time. Cadence is still amnesiac, and the Two Sisters will make their return. Starswirl the Bearded is still trapped in limbo, and we have no way of knowing where Discord is?" the guard said.
Naturus sat his one-eyed head on a hand and said Starswirl and Discord are not my biggest concerns as of now, but when Celestia and Luna return, bring them to me ALIVE!"
"Yes, your majesty..." the guard said as he walked back to his post.
Author's Note
Anyways, the Mane 6 have different names in this timeline than in the standard one, but still have the same appearances and personality.
Rainbow Dash = Prism Strike
And yes, Cadence was still born a pegasus in this timeline, Naturus just hypnotized her into forgetting everything about her old life but her name, making her think that she was born an alicorn. And yes, I turned Spike into a Bambiraptor, because I think he'll look cute as one.
Chapter Two: Back from Limbo

Back in the days of yore, a unicorn wizard named Star Swirl and his group: the Pillars of Equestria, served to protect the land of Equestria. But when the one who brought them together was believed to be covetous of the Pillars' power, they cast him out. The pony thus turned to darkness for power and revenge, and transformed into the Pony of Shadows. In order to stop the beast, the Pillars had to sacrifice themselves to save Equestria. But Naturus had other plans when he arrived there.
Naturus tried to kill both them and the Pony of Shadows, but the Pillars didn't want death, so Star Swirl cast a spell that imprisoned Naturus in the form of a-
"Yeah, yeah, narrarator, let me take it from here.
"Yeah, that know-it-all guy turned me into a seed and planted me to protect his stupid land. I was not immune to magic at the time, and then, I developed that immunity. So yeah, whiny-boy and his P-team were sent to Limbo with that ugly ball of darkness, leaving me there to rot."
Yeah. How-
"Yeah, unlike most, I was awake for my entire imprisonment. Watching them control the weather, raise the sun and moon, and even bully animals into submission. Not pretty. Luckily for me, as you saw earlier, I escaped from my prison and supposedly killed the alicorn sisters. Don't you worry yourselves, they'll be back... I'll let them see the new world that is here now. I'll let them live."
Okay, Naturus. Why are you even here?
"Oh, I just stopped here to say hi."
What about Star Swirl, Naturus?
"Oh, him. That reminds me, I'll take the Pillars to my castle as soon as they return from their gloomy imprisonment. I've been thinking about-"
Get out of here. And go to near where they return.
"Gah, you are such a spoil-sport. Nevermind, I'll leave."
Now how did he get here? No matter, as I was saying, the P-team will return right about... NOW.
It was almost midnight.
On a mountain, there was a Stonehenge-like rock formation. Naturus and his forces were camped outside, waiting. And suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck the center. Six ponies in different attire lay unconscious. A seventh pony, an alicorn of darkness was the only one awake in this whole time.
"Unconscious, eh. That will leave me just enough time to engulf the world in darkness!" the shadow alicorn said before he heard the bushes rustle.
"Well, well, well. So we met again, old chum."
The shadow pony heard the voice. That voice. It belonged to the guy who tried to kill him.
"Naturus..." the shadow pony said as the being burst forth. Naturus, in his glory and in a bunch of robes. He was there like he was never turned into a seed in the first place.
"In the flesh... wait, do I have flesh? Do you have flesh for that matter?" Naturus said jokingly.
"You my have turned back to your true form, but you are not going to beat me in my game..." the Pony of Shadows said as he attempted to blast Naturus, but to his surprise, the blast bounced off.
"Gah, how?" he said in shock.
"My body may have been still, but I still had a few tricks up my sleeve. During my imprisonment, I have developed an immunity to magic. Now, it's my turn to attack." Naturus said as he went in front of the moon and used its energy to kill the shadow pony for good.
"So apparently Moongeist Beam would be really effective on forces of darkness. I better tell that to my old friend Lunala about this." Naturus replied jokingly with his reference to those 'Pokémon' games he had heard about, but never played. He never met a version of Lunala to be honest, neither did he meet a version of Solgaleo.
Oh how millions of years fly by for a deity like him. His creators were long since dead, and he now rules a magical pony land of happiness and friendship. Wonder how his REAL old friend Peepers is doing at his home in Koosland. He was the one who actually existed in this universe.
He knew Peepers like his own brother, if he had one to begin with. He flashed back to when Peepers told him his story.
It all started when the girl was a dumb little baby. Her mind was completely blank But then, she had an idea, and that idea was Peepers himself. And since the girl had may other things to think about, Peepers was left in charge of that same girl's imagination. He gave so much happiness for the Koosfolk to have, that he was rendered a grump for a time.
That is until this Hookocho character showed up and almost destroyed Koosland when trying to reverse Peepers's power to increase his own. Peepers mutated into a huge dragon and crushed Hookocho with one foot, regaining some of his lost happiness in the process.
Naturus flashed a bit forward to when the girl died, he never saw Peepers again after that moment on. Did he live onward or did he die with the girl? And what of Koosland? Did it die to? All he knew what that Koosland was in a galaxy most likely billions of light years away with no knowing what happened to the island. Without the girl as a catalyst for a portal, he does not have any way of contacting Koosland. Even his powers had limits of their own.
He wondered if they even remembered him or he remembered them. All he knows is that ever since he lost contact, he was growing bitter and agitated knowing that he can no longer see Peepers.
"Master... Master..." one of the guards said as Naturus snapped back to reality.
"Alright, take the Pillars to the dungeon. And make sure they do not see them, especially Cadence. I do not want her memory to be triggered just yet." Naturus said, pointing to the six ponies.
"Yes, milord." a random guard said as they put them in a metal box.
The guards put the box onto a large metal cart pulled by two Anatosaurs along with some crates of food and supplies.
As for Naturus himself, he simply teleported back to Natropolis in a flash of light.
This is going to be a LOONG day.
Author's Note
I put Dexter's Lab in the timeline because I wanted to see who could have the potential besides the U.S. Government to be able to create Naturus. The purpose of Naturus was to guard and protect Earth. Who created him, it is unknown.
Naturus came to know Peepers when discovering a portal. They told each other their origin stories and all that. After the death of Dee Dee, it is unknown what happened to poor old Peepers, but that has made Naturus angry and lonely. In fact, Naturus created the ponies to remind himself of the land of Koos before he got consumed by his own anger.
This version of Naturus does not attack without a reason, so if he takes the path he does in TRoLN, Starswirl would be one of his major targets since he turned Naturus into a seed.
Which TV shows should I add to the timeline, I don't know. But right now, it goes something like this:
