You're My Family No Matter What
It was night time and people were panicking as a house was ablaze, they were trying to call if anybody was in the house, and trying to put it out, they were hoping the family got out.
"Hello!", one person yelled, "is there anyone in there!"
5 girls were crying for there new friend Twilight Sparkle and her 1 year old baby brother Spike, hoping they make it out alive.
A 10 year old boy was watching the house ablaze with his mom and dad, they knew the family for years and was hoping they can get out alive.
They saw a man run out with a crying baby in his arms, he ran up to the adults and handed the baby to Bright Mac.
"Pear Butter Bright Mac, if I don't make it back out, please take care of my son", he told them and ran back inside the burning house.
After he ran back inside the burning house to get the rest of his family, minutes went by and he still hasn't ran back out.
Then minutes turned into an hour as the fire fighters showed up with ambulances, the fire fighters were trying to put out the fire, but the house collapsed in flames.
The 5 girls cried Twilights name knowing she never got out, hours later the fire fighters put out the flames and checked if anybody escaped.
The residents of Canterlot were shock to see the fire fighters pull out 4 bodies from the burned rubble, 2 were adults and 2 were kids, there were burned.
The paramedics checked to see if there were breathing still, and found no pulse, so they put white sheets over the dead bodies.
The fire chief told the cop, "4 bodies where found, 2 adults in their late 20, and 2 kids, the little girl about 5 and the boy about 10".
Macintosh felt tears in his eyes, knowing one of the bodies was his best friend Shining Armor.
The 5 girls hugged and cried into each other for the lost of their new friend, Macintosh looked down letting a few tears fall.
Pear Butter and Bright Mac looked at the crying baby, "it's ok Spike, I'm here", Pear Butter told the baby as she took him in her arms.
Bright Mac walked over to the burned house and fought back tears, him and Pear Butter knew Night Light and Twilight Velvet sence Highschool, they were best friends.
He found a family picture of the Sparkle family, it was the only thing that survived the fire, besides Spike.
He picked it up and looked at it, "I promise I'll take care of your boy Night Light", he said to himself in a hurt voice for his best friend letting a few tears fall and put the picture in his pocket.
He saw his son Macintosh hugging his little sister Applejack as she cried for her friend, Spike was fast asleep in Pear Butters arms.
After everything happened, they went home and told granny Smith about the fire, she was devastated for what happened.
She knew her son and Night Light were like brothers since highschool, she saw the pain in her sons eyes but he fought it.
Granny Smith saw the baby in Pear Butters arms, "ma, Night Light ran out of the house holding his son, he told me and Pear to take care of him if he doesn't make it back out", Bright Mac told his mother fighting back tears.
She looked at Spike asleep in Pear Butters arms, "so, he is an orphan now", she asked with a sad look.
They nodded as granny Smith smiled, "welcome to the family young one", she told her new grandson taking him in her arms.
Bright Mac smiled, "so, you don't mind ma", he asked his mother.
She shook her head, "he's an Apple now", she said with a smile, then she gave Spike back to Pear Butter.
They took a sleeping Spike, and put him in his new room with their 1 year old daughter Apple Bloom.
Pear Butter kissed his head, "I promise I'll take care of him and be a mother to him Velvet", she said to herself in a hurt voice, thinking about the woman she saw as a sister in tears.
16 years later, Spike was sitting on the couch with his girlfriend Sweetie Belle hugging him, he was looking at the old burnt picture of him and his real family when he was a baby.
Pear Butter and Bright Mac were telling him the story of how his real family died in a house fire.
"So..this is my real family, my real mom dad brother and sister", he asked in tears and in shock running a finger through his real parents face on the picture.
The Apple family nodded, Pear Butter and Bright Mac were in tears, "Spike, we are so sorry we hid this from you", Pear Butter told him in a hurt voice.
He went from pain to angry, "how long", he asked clinching his fists.
Sweetie Belle saw he was getting angry, "Spike, please calm down", she told her boyfriend as she tried to calm him down, but he ignored her.
"HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING THIS FROM ME!", he yelled in tears, glaring at the people he thought was his real family.
Pear Butter and Bright Mac looked down in tears, "16 years Spike", they said in union and a hurt voice.
He got up, "I..I think I need to be alone right now", he told them wriping his eyes as he got up from the couch and walked out the back door.
Apple Bloom got up, "I'll go talk to him", she said walking out, her and Spike were not only brother and sister, but friends as well.
Spike was in the barn sitting on a stack of hay looking at the picture, "I can't believe they hid this from me", he said to himself hurt and angry at the same time.
He saw Apple Bloom looking at him from the door way and glared at her, "you knew about this", he asked his sister holding up the picture.
She nodded and saw the boy look back down at the picture, Apple Bloom walked in and sat next to him, "Spike, are you angry at us", she asked her brother looking down with a frown.
The boy gritted his teeth in tears, "what do you think", he told her sounding more hurt then angry now.
Apple Bloom turned to him, "Spike, you shouldn't be angry at ma and pa", she told him.
He glared at her, "give me a reason not to", he told her trying not to yell as she back up from him.
"Because they raised you", she told him feeling tears in her eyes, he was never angry at her before.
Spike calmed down a little looking at his sister, "your an Apple Spike, your part of this family", she told him looking down.
Spike looked down also, "I'm not an Apple and never was", he told her letting a few tears fall, he never felt so lied to in his life.
Apple Bloom scooted closer to him, "yes you are Spike, think about all the times you defended me from Diamond Tiara", she told her brother in tears now.
She got closer and hugged him, "your my brother Spike, I love you, ma and pa loves you, we all love you..please don't be mad at us", she told him crying into his shoulder.
Spike thought about what she said, he started thinking about the times they spend together as family and how his mom and dad raised him.
Then started thinking how he defended his sister from Diamond Tiara, to how she helped him ask out Sweetie Belle.
He calmed down and hugged her back, "I'm sorry AB, your my sister and I love you too", then they broke the hug as him and Apple Bloom walked out the barn.
Pear Butter was crying into her husband's shoulder, thinking her son hates her for keeping a secret from him, her husband was trying to calm her down thinking the same thing.
The Apple family was in pain, thinking Spike hated them for lying to him and keeping such a secret from him, then they saw Spike and Apple Bloom walk in the house.
Spike saw Pear Butter crying on Bright Macs shoulder, he was walked up to them and hugged Pear Butter, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be mad at you", he told her frowning.
She hugged him back in tears, "no...I'm sorry Spike, we should have told you sooner", she told her son crying.
"I just wanna know one thing..why, why your hid this from me", he asked confused breaking the hug.
The married couple looked down, "we were afraid that you might hate us", they said in a hurt voice in union.
"I promised your dad that we were gonna take care of you and raise you like our own", Bright Mac told him frowning while looking down.
They looked at him, "please Spike, let us be a family", the married couple told him in union with hopeful looks.
Then Spike gave them both a hug, "I'm sorry I yelled at you..mom and dad..I love you both", he told them letting a few tears fall, he was grateful for them raising him and turning him into the hard working teen he is now.
They smiled in joy, "we love you too son", they said in union, hugging their son and glad that he wasn't no longer mad with them.
They broke the hug as Spike put on a smile and went up to his big sister Applejack, "thank you for being a big sister to me", he told her hugging her with a smile.
She hugged him back, "shucks Spike, I promised Twilight to protect you and aways be there for you like a big sister should", she told him smiling, then they broke the hug as she ruffled her little brothers hair.
Then he went up to his big brother Big Mac, "thank you for being a big brother to me and teaching me what it's like to be a hard worker", he said hugging him with a smile.
Big Mac hugged him back, "your my little bro Spike, and I made a vow to Shining to protect you and be there for you always", he told his little brother with a smile breaking the hug and giving him a little noogie.
Spike went up to his grandma Apple Smith, "thank you grandma..for the apple treats", he told her chuckling while hugging her with a smile.
The family laughed at his claim for the apples based treats, his grandma hugged him back, "your welcome Spike, you are my grandson..and always will be", she told him with a smile, then they broke the hug.
He went up to Apple Bloom last, "and thank you Apple Bloom, for being a great sister and being my friend", he told her smiling.
He looked at a smiling Sweetie Belle, "if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have been with Sweetie Belle..so thank you Apple Bloom", he told his sister hugging her with a smile.
Apple Bloom hugged him back, "your welcome Spike, and thank you for being my brother and protecting me at School from bullies like Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon", she told him with a smile.
Spike looked at his family, "thank you guys, for everything you done for me, you are my family no matter what, and I love you all", he told them and hugged his parents again.
Then it became a group hug with his family as they told him in union, "we love you too Spike", the teen was happy to have a family, even though he lost his real one in a house fire when he was a baby.
