Fallout Equestria: New Heights

Keep in mind she only grabbed a knife, she is from the Enclave where their choice of currency is still bits.
This is my first attempt at writing a story like this, so if you have some advice please give it.
If you any questions on a character's personality or design I have in mind. Please ask.
The Back story
I am a slave to a cruel and ruthless pony, My master owns a mine where most of his slaves work, some are a little more privileged by living and working in our master's house. My name is Bright Cloud and I am one the "privileged" slaves. I am a little more privileged than some, because I am not forced to work. I am my master's personal plaything.
The story starts above the clouds, with the Enclave, where I was born and raised. I followed all the Enclave laws, well except no going to or helping the surface dwellers. That was an accident, I think. You see, I was knocked unconscious while I was flying between settlements by some sort of beam. The beam was white and circular originating from the surface, I was hit by an object that was sent flying by the blast. Luckily, a pegasus living on the surface saw me falling and caught me before I hit the ground.
When I came to he was sitting next to a fire he had built just outside the building I was in. The Brown pegasus noticed me stir and asked "What are you doing here on the surface?"
I replied ,stumbling over my words," I don't know, I was flying and then I was hit by something. That is the last thing I remember. What was that beam I saw before I was hit?"
"I was hoping you could tell me", after some small talk he told me his name was Dune Hopper. Dune Hopper, Dune for short, had light blue eyes. His tail was a deep blue with red streaks, they apparently represented how many ponies he had killed to save his own life, there were at least fifty. His mane had a grass like green with a blue outline around it surrounded by more deep blue. He would not tell me or let me see his cutie mark even after I showed him mine all he would say was, "It is something you should not see".
The next day, Dune and I went our separate ways. Now that I think about it he never did smile, not even when I had told him a joke. instead he made a sound almost like he had choked on something. He had suggested I "scavenge for supplies", whatever that means. I know Enclave law states go to the surface is illegal, and any who have broken that law have never been seen above the clouds. Going back was not an option, as it was pointless. For the rest of the day I "scavenged" looking around the remains of a town, going from house to house I saw bottle caps, bullets, skeletons, and the occasional knife. I grabbed one of the less blood covered more intact looking knives.
The day after I flew as far as I could, landing in what looked like the remains of a factory. I had fallen asleep in one of the
unlocked rooms on the top floor. I was captured by slavers while I was sleeping in the remains of the factory the next morning before I had woken up. Waking up in a cage with a collar around your neck is not preferred.
The ponies who captured me were surprised how easy it was to get their hooves on such a rare type of pony. Three of my four captors were unicorns and the last was an earth pony. I was caught on their way to sell the slaves they had caught. The other slaves were all earth ponies who had been captured by their own choice. Over the course of three days,while waking through destroyed town after destroyed town being dragged by my captors. I grew close to my fellow prisoners. Their names were: Soul Searcher, Eversmile Jack, and Tree Heart.
Jack was a light green earth pony stallion with black eyes, his mane was a deeper shade of green with brown tips spread randomly about his messy tail and mane. He was always looking at anything he could and would talk about how each color of the wasteland was its very own. His cutie mark was a little hard to see, not because of dust he got on it, but because it was a camouflage pattern that blent in with his coat.
Tree Heart had brown coat that was the almost the same color as fresh wooden fence, her eyes were a light lime green. Her mane and tail were dark green with straight yellow streaks. Her cutie mark was a little oak tree. Tree heart was always nervous wondering what that lump next to that nearby tree was? Could it be a bandit taking a nap, maybe a dead pony, or maybe even a fake pony to lure in unsuspecting victims of an ambush.
Soul Searcher, I just call her Soul, always was asking me about where I came from who am I and just wanted to now more about me. She managed to convince me to tell her I was an Enclave pony, but that is about it. She was light blue pony with eyes of almost the same color. Her mane and tail had a green center with a blue outline around the green just to have purple to surround the whole thing. Her cutie mark looked like a compass except it was purple and blue, apparently she could just "feel" which direction a nearby pony was in. The more she knew about a pony the further away she could "feel them".
After the third day we had made it to my temporary master, who I had very little time to get to know(I didn't even learn his name). Royal Rug, a dark red unicorn that was almost the color of blood. His eyes were lime green. His mane and tail were light blue with dark blue tips, his cutie mark was of a golden rug with a red edge. He offered two of his slaves for me. At first he seemed so kind and loving by giving me a custom collar, black with green attachment rings, however behind closed doors he becomes the cruel stallion I regret meeting.

My Master, cruel, but caring.
I am my master's personal toy to torture, screw, or whatever he wants to do. He is actually somewhat kind to me. He makes sure I am in good health, well fed, and well rested. He does care for me even if he does cruel things. One of the cruel things he does to me is trick me about being free.
"This way", the red unicorn said, while giving the leash a light tug. He was guiding me to an empty room with an open window. "You are free to go", Royal Rug had said with a sinister grin creeping its way onto his face. I had heard what he said, my brain stopped thinking logically, and I bolted for the window. I made it two feet before I hit a sudden stop, the leash was still in his hoof, my momentum lifted me off my hooves and onto my back. He laughter boomed as I was struggling to catch my lost breath. By the time I caught my breath he had closed and locked the window. "You are free to roam for the rest of the day", he said as he left the room.
He would have me clean his room within a certain amount of time. In order to clean his room, I have to put all the furniture where it belongs(Yeah, he moves it all around before telling me to clean his room), clean his toys(that he uses on me and other slaves), and actually clean the room. If I do not do it right or in time I would be spending the night in his room getting fucked. He goes until I pass out from overuse and exhaustion(I think I might be beginning to like it, Oh no).
He always goes on about how he loves my gray coat, my mane with its lime green color that has dark gray tips, and my light green eyes. He would tell me that he needed me for something important but never tell me what it was only saying, "
Soon, I will show you. I just need to trust how you will act". I don't know what he meant or what it could mean.
Master might be cruel to me physically and mentally, but I believe everypony has good in them. Some just have not found their good side yet. Royal Rug might be close to finding his.

This whole chapter is what Royal does to and around her, it is just what happens between them right now not when it all happens.

If you have any tips, nitpicks, or just comments I would love to know what you think of this story and how I might be able to improve it. Some of your comments might give me an idea to incorporate into the story.
I am not a huge fan of swearing or sex in this story, so don't expect a lot of it. I will also not be very detailed about such actions in this story.

Alone… alone is how I felt. I did not have enough time with anypony to make friends. My master was watching all the time. If I did get too close to a pony, they were sent to the mines. Smiling was not something I did each day anymore. My will to fight for my freedom was gone, completely gone.
I was walking toward the kitchen to get my breakfast for the day with my head down, knowing that my master was on the floor above watching me make my way solemnly through the entrance hall. Once I was through the door to the hallway connecting the kitchen to the rest of the first floor rooms around. I almost smiled knowing my master can’t watch me here, my own personal safe space.
I ran into somepony about halfway to the kitchen. Must be someone new, everypony here knows what my route is and avoids it because of the eyes watching me, I thought to myself, Might as well introduce myself.
“Hi, I’m Bright Cloud. Sorry about bumping into you like that, I guess I forgot to pay attention to where I was going.”, I said while looking up with a forced smile that was becoming more real as I realized who I had bumped into.
“Nice to see you again Cloudy”, I hated that nickname, “Been awhile, where is your master? Shouldn’t he be here with you when he visits?”, He doesn’t know? Well, better late than never I suppose.
“Sorry you never had the chance to hear about it, Jack, my master traded me to Royal Rug.”
“Oh, well, at least you have a friend here, right?”
“Well, my only friend I have seen around here is you. I have not had much time to make friends with eyes always watching my every move. That and if I seem to be making one they get sent away,”
“Wow, that is why so many ponies were showing up in the mines.” We talked for a good ten minutes about what the mines were like and what I had been put through by Royal. I told him the I should leave and that our master would be getting curious why I have not shown up for breakfast.
After I had my fill I left to have some “free time” in the garden. Flying away was not going to happen, my master had I think twenty or so guards with tranq ready for an escape attempt (I learned that the hard way). I was planning to enjoy the sight of the outside while waiting for my master to give me some stupid command that I might fail, just so he can “play” with me some more.
Before anything could happen, an explosion destroyed a portion of the wall to my left. Another explosion destroyed another portion, this time to my right. Gunfire erupted from outside and inside the compound. Some of the guards were shouting orders from balconies to their fellow ponies while others were taking cover to shoot back from behind. The slaves were running around in either panic, confusion, or running for freedom. Among the ponies running for the blasted parts of the wall, I saw Jack.
I was actually almost surprised that he was there running from here instead of defending the place he had told me “is probably the best place in the wasteland for us”. I recognized some of my “friends” that had disappeared to the mines, according to Jack.
“Jack!”, I yelled hoping to get the attention of the green stallion. He skidded to a stop twenty feet from the hole he was going to before turning around and looking to see where my voice came from.
“Cloudy! Come on! Fly!”, He called out. I almost forgot I could, being so used to my master’s treatment of me flying I had been acting like an earth pony for the last two weeks. I opened my wings, feeling the muscles grown from disuse, and began my attempt to take flight once again. Only to see a familiar sight, an enclave pony in armor, they seemed to be looking for something or somepony.
“I can’t! My wings won’t work.” I called to the stallion that was now on the ground below the garden.
“Come down here, let’s go before Royal finds you and chains you somewhere”, He called up. I began to make my way through the house trying to find the door out. There were so many ponies running through the halls and bumping into me that I could feel my wings trying tear away from my body.
Eventually, I made it to the entryway. I stopped my escape in horror at what I saw. The chandelier was now on the ground and shattered, All the guards were lying dead, and a group of what must be the invaders were dead. The thing that had me truly afraid was the enclave armored ponies in the room, two were dead, three were standing by the door with their weapons aimed at me.”Halt!”, Shouted one. “You seem familiar, wasteland scum”, called another. Good thing I have lived here long enough for me to look like a local.
“Please, let me leave. I am a slave in this house, I just want to escape.”, I called out with wide eyes.
“No, you are the scum of this land. Die”, That was when I noticed the red tinted ash in a sort of fan shape expanding out from the hallway I just came from.
“I am one of you!”, I yelled before their weapons could fully ready-up.
“How can you be one of us wastelander? We are members of the mighty Enclave.” Called out the third with a snarl.
“Wait, can it be?”, called the middle one, the one that thought I was familiar.
“My name is Bright Cloud, I was knocked unconscious by a blast that came up through the cloud layer when I woke up a pegasus had saved me and told me to scavenge. Before I could I was captured by a group of slavers and sold on the slave market. I would love to return to my home, please let me leave this building.”, I was not telling the whole truth. I just hoped that they would believe it and lower their weapons.
“How can we trust what you just told us?”, Called the first.
“How do you know that name?”, Middle questioned, he might be my only hope.
“You can’t seriously think that we might believe you”, number three, he is really cutting my chances. Where is Jack?
“I speak the truth if you do not believe me. Ask me a question only an Enclave pony would know.”
“Okay, what is the name of Bright Cloud’s friend that she never saw the day she disappeared?”, Two asked a question that only Bright Cloud(me) would know, clever.
Simple, I have thought about them for the week wondering what they would think of me in my current state? I will use their nickname. “Four-eye boy”, I called out. One and Three began to whisper among themselves. Two did not move, it was almost as if they were frozen. I caught snippets of the conversation about how that is not the right name.
“You are wrong, wastelander, now prepare to die”, Three was charging his weapon.
“Stop!”, Two shouted, “It is her.”
“Wait, what? She said the wrong name. It was not even close.” barked Three back. He was locking on, I was about ready to
“She said the nickname she gave him, the nickname she gave me.”, He started to remove his helmet, “Everyone back home has been worried about you ever since your disappearance.”, Oh, how I missed that glasses covered face. He actually had been so obsessed with the stables that he wanted to check out the inside of one. The nickname I gave him comes from the little cartoon pony used to advertise the stables; Stable boy.
I breathed a sigh of relief, I was going home.”You cannot return with us to the Enclave, Bright Cloud. You have been found, yes. However, you are now a wastelander and wasteland dwellers are not permitted in the Enclave. We will not report you if you leave us to our duty.”, One said with a hint of care in his voice.
“Thank you”, was my weak reply
“Now, Go! Before we decide killing you would be merciful.”, Three stated before jumping to the side leaving me with an opening. I took it as fast as I could. Outside, Jack was waiting for me. He asked me what had taken so long and I told him a lie about how I fell from the first floor to the basement three times trying to cross the room, at least there had been leaves under the floor where I fell.
The fighting had died down, we made our way through one of the holes in the wall. I turned looking back at my life of slavery and remembering my old life with the enclave.

This new chapter was a trick for me to write, personally, I think it is better than any of the other chapters.
I wonder if anyone will find a reference or two in this chapter...

Me, being one of the "privileged" slaves I live in the master's house to personally serve him, his guards, and his guests. I was not that bad, he would allow me to have some free time to socialize with some of the other slaves. His one rule, other than no disobedience, was the nopony was to go in the basement. The basement had guards posted just to reinforce the rule.
I had meet the chefs, they were nice unless you went in their kitchens. If you entered their kitchens they would yell profanities and throw pans, utensils, and just about anything light enough to pick up. I think They acted that way because they were hiding something, but I might just be crazy.
The guards around the house weren't very talkative, but they all seemed friendly to me. Well, all except the captain. The captain had a permanent scowl on his scarred face. He would not say anything to me, he would just grunt and look away.
The maids, who were also "privileged" slaves, were very talkative. Some would pester you about who you are, where you come from, and how you got here. Others where more secluded and spoke of escape and how their plan might work. They would not tell me their plan, because I am Master's personal pet/plaything.
I learned the layout of the house in a relatively quick amount of time, I needed to know how to get were I was called to as fast as possible. Royal's house was two-stories tall, it as big as two regular houses in the Enclave. The building itself was not much of a maze, as it had more of an open area concept. The entrance hall had a balcony on the second floor, as there was a massive chandelier hanging through it.

I felt that I should flesh out the house and its occupants, as well as do a little more planning ahead. Sorry if this chapter is too short for your liking.
When there is "privileged" or a similar thing, unless next to some form of said it is just a character referring to the a word or phrase.
