SPEED STAR'S STORY: Speed Star and yuki: Part 1: Chapter 2.
woke up to the familiar sound of my alarm clock. I groaned as I hit my
hoof hard on the button that stopped the alarm. I was about to go back to my
sleeping when I remembered today was the day of the final flight test! Every 10
year old foal from Cloudsdale who was in their last year of flight school was
required to take the test, it was a way for the world famous Wonderbolts to pick
the best flier ever and train them young. The last Wonderbolt to be selected
like this was the current captain of the squad, Spitfire. Apparently her skill
was so amazing that she had to be let in. ponies often say I have what it takes,
I think so too, but do the Wonderbolts?
My twin brother, Quick Silver, is
also taking the test today, he goes to a different school to me, for reasons
that I’d rather not explain. It’s not because I don’t love my brother, it’s
just, something else that has to do with why I’m so good at flying now.

I
managed to stop daydreaming and I got ready for school, I packed my saddle-bag
and walked out the door. Dusk Rise, a grey Pegasus pony, jumped in front of me
as I was walking down my street.
"You'll never scare me, you do know that
right Duskie" I said with a smile.
"Yeah well I" he started, he paused for a
while "nah, I will tell you after the test" he finished awkwardly.
That's not
like him... maybe he's finally gonna ask me out... nah I really need to stop
obsessing over him.
We flew silently over to our school grounds. Not talking
at all. This was strange. Maybe it was just the stress of the final test, it did
test our abilities, being able to fly is important for Pegasi. Especially
because Dusk was sick for a few weeks, so I can understand why he was
potentially scared.
Suddenly, a red, yellow and orange Pegasus swiftly
landed in front of Dusk Rise and I, it was our best friend, Wild Fire. When I
first moved to this school, let’s just say me and Wild Fire didn’t see eye to
eye. "Hey guys" She smiled happily, then she looked at dusk rise with a serious
expression and tone "you told her yet?"
"No, I decided to tell her after the
test" Dusk said
"You big chicken! I'll just tell her now for you" Wild fire
laughed wickedly.
"No... Please don't" dusk rise pleaded
helplessly.
"Duskie loves you, and you love him too, I see it in your eyes,
the way you look at him, how you act, it’s sooo obvious"
I-i do not!" dusk
snapped, interrupting Wild Fire.
"Ew, that's gross!" I gagged; I tried to
hide my true feelings. Wild Fire was right about one thing, I do like him, I
like him a lot.

I flew off embarrassed. I took my seat in the glass room
overlooking the coliseum. I turned to look at the instructor as she started her
speech.
"Every pony, quiet please, let me explain the course. First, fly up
to the hoops, fly through them, and then fly up to as high as you like, then
dive down and fly back up when you feel uncomfortable. Then dazzle us with
whatever you have left.
Now to introduce the judges, the one and only... The
Wonderbolts!"
Then the team flew in and preformed a few tricks before taking
their places in the row of seats looking over the arena above us. Spitfire, the
captain took the far left seat, after her, Soarin', Fleet foot, Rapid fire, and
the other two taking the far right seats.
"Now, who's first?"
All sets of
eyes in the room turned towards me. No surprises there. Every pony always
expects me to do things first.
"Cool, looks like I'm first" I confidently
said as I stretched my limbs readying for the flight,
Just as I was about to
fly over to the platform where we had to take off from I heard wild fire calling
my name.
"Speed Star, come here, we want to talk to you shortly before you
start, wish you luck and what not"
"Okay" I replied
I flapped over to my
two best friends.
"Good luck, your defiantly gonna get into the Wonderbolts
with your skill! Go out there and give it your best shot! You've got it in you"
Wild fire smiled happily.
"Um... Speed Star... come here I want to tell you a
secret" Dusk Rise said quietly.
"Um okay" I leaned in, and that's when I
realised what was going to happen next, I decided to play along, I tried not to
get to exited as Dusk kissed me on the cheek, he leaned away.
"For luck" he
shyly said, blushing and looking at the ground
"For luck" I replied,
containing my excitement.
I then snapped out of nice mode, and into I'm so
great so I'm gonna win mode. I flew across the room and out onto the starting
platform.
"Name?" I heard spitfires voice over the speakers.
"Speed Star"
I confidently yelled across the stadium.
"Okay, everyone says you're good,
you seem pretty confident, so let's see what you've got kid!" spitfire replied.

I took off, shaking the arena with the force from my wings, already I could
see the Wonderbolts already on the edge of their seats. I grinned and focused. I
made it to the hoops. I quickly, swiftly, flew through the hoops, occasionally
performing tricks as I went. I finished the last hoop, then I flew up through
the clouds until it was guaranteed that no pony could see me, then I plummeted
down, the wind rushing past me made a high pitched whistling noise, I was
quickly approaching the ground, I knew in 3 seconds I would have to pull up.
3...2...1 UP! I opened my wings and preformed my shooting star signature move.
Silver light filled the stadium.
I went up and up, I swiftly and with great
force, landed confidently on the finishing platform, smirking I looked over to
the Wonderbolts, they had their eyes fixed on me, then they huddled and
whispered to each other, after a minute or so, they turned back and the voice of
Spitfire boomed over the speakers. "Speed Star, come with soarin and I'"

Wow, I was just amazed I flew over to the two Pegasi they greeted me and
instructed me to follow them. We flew down, until we got to a tunnel leading
underground, Spitfire went into the tunnel and Soarin closely followed, I
followed them, when I finished in the tunnel, we were in a cloud paradise. Above
us was the training course. How did we get into the sky again? So this is how
the Wonderbolts keep their base a secret, because I've never seen this room, it
must be invisible. "Speed Star" spitfire interrupted my thoughts
"Huh...
yes" I replied dazed
"Come to the meeting room, it's down the corridor"
spitfire instructed as she flew off.
I trotted happily down the corridor,
taking in the scene, and then I saw the door to the meeting room. I opened it
slowly; there inside were spitfire and Soarin'. On the table was a spare
uniform, it was new and neatly folded, was it for me?
"Hey kid" Soarin'
started "take a seat"
I sat down at the table, and kicked back.
"Don't
get too relaxed, we need to talk to you about serious business" spitfire
chuckled.
"Speed Star, how would you like to join our team of Wonderbolts, it
means you will have to give up most of your time to train, perform and make
public appearances, think about it overnight if necessary, take your time"
Spitfire explained.
“how much time would I get off?” I asked
“Sundays are
yours, you can do what you want then, unless we have performances or meetings”
Soarin answered
I sat there for 25 minutes; the thoughts of my lifelong
dream finally coming true was overwhelming. was I willing to give up my time to
train? Not see my friends much anymore? I don't see them outside of school much
anyway, besides today was the last day of school ever. In the end, I had made up
my mind; I was exited but kept calm "when do I start?" I asked
confidently.
"I guess you'll need this then" spitfire said as she slid a
uniform across the table, I touched the fabric, it was light and looked pretty
comfortable.
I picked up the uniform and held it in my hooves.
“but you
need to sign this, it basically says that you can’t join any other organisations
like this one, such as the shadow bolts, but you can get a part time job,
outside the Wonderbolts if you really want.” Soarin added as he lugged a huge
stack of paper over to me. I took my time reading I and signed it when I had
finished and was satisfied with the terms.
"You need to style your mane like
mine by the way, it’s part of the uniform" Spitfire said pointing to her roughly
styled mane.
“Down the hall in the second last room, you will find your
quarters, you can do what you like with it, get changed and meet us back here”
Soarin said firmly.
I walked down the corridor to the room I was instructed
to go to, I opened the door and stepped inside, Closing the door I briefly
looked around at my new room. I put my uniform on, styled my mane and put on my
goggles, I placed them on top of my head and stared at myself in the mirror by
the door, no longer was I a normal Pegasus pony, but a Wonderbolt, some pony
every pony wants to look up to.

Yuki's Story
Yuki was a young bubbly dark and purple pegasi. However, she had a large problem
on her hooves she was the shyest pony any pony had even met. She would take a
little word, such as “stupid” very, very far.
She was bored had no pony to
hang around with so she decided to go visit Ponyville for something new. She
stretched her wings and launched herself off the fluffy clouds that were flying
everywhere. She took a deep sigh as she watched other ponies start to stare at
her as she landed in Ponyvilles town square. “Everything will be fine, just act
normal…” Yuki said to herself. Suddenly a pink unicorn with blue mane near the
flower shop spoke a comment Yuki wished she didn’t hear, something she wished
she could erase from her brain. “Is that Pegasus talking to herself? What a
weirdo!" Yuki stood, still those words were ringing through her ears. She hung
her head and started to walk again. When she heard another unicorn agree, small
tears formed in her eyes and Yuki ran off down the road, crying, and was running
towards the Everfree forest.
One of the earth ponies watching gasped as she
saw the dark purple pegasi dash into the Everfree forest. “What on earth does
she think she is doing!?” She said in shock.

IN THE EVERFREE
FOREST

ABOUT 5 MINTUES LATER…

Yuki had finally calmed herself
down. She took a deep breath and wiped her tears. Then she noticed she was
surrounded by darkness. This didn’t bother her since she was nocturnal. Well
thats what she liked to think, she did still come out in the day. She slowly
looked around “what have I done, I-I’m in the Everfree forest!” Yuki shreiked in
fear. She looked around wondering if it was safe or not. Suddenly she heard
laughter. Yuki stood up and took a step forward. “Hello, is any pony there?” She
asked nervously.
Suddenly a grey pegasi in a dark purple, grey and dark
yellow uniform came from out of the misty shadows. He was wearing goggles the
same shade of purple as the colour on his uniform.
“Are y-you here to laugh
at me too?” Yuki asked uncertain if she was to be talking to a stranger in the
Everfree forest. “Why would you think that? I saw your wings they look mighty
strong…” The dark pegasi said raising his head towards Yuki’s wings.
Yuki
looked at her wings “I think your mistaken they are just plain old feather
wings, just like me, plain old Yuki” Yuki said with a nervous laugh. The dark
pegasi looked at Yuki in disbelief “or are they just plain old wings?” He asked
her. Yuki stood there staring at her wings. “Well I never thought of it that
way…” She said with a sigh.
“You know what, I’ll prove my point jump off
that cliff keep falling until your close to the bottom the pull yourself up and
fly as far as you can and then we will see” The Pegasi smiled. Yuki was nervous
“but what i-if” the dark pegasi interrupted Yuki “are you chicken or pegasus?!”
He snapped. Something suddenly snapped in Yuki, she got angry. She licked her
lips and jumped of the cliff that the pegasus had pointed out to her. She held
her wings tightly shut even though she wanted to open them up when suddenly her
wings opened too soon, her left bent the wrong way and was forced upwards. There
was a loud crack and after that a following bood curdling scream of pain from
Yuki.
Tears were flowing out from her eyes, she was going to die she knew it
was the end. Suddenly Yuki thought of all the ponies that laughed at her, the
ponies who made her run to this dark and twisted forest in the first place. She
focused only on her right wing. Putting all strength she had into it, she got so
close to the bottom of the cliff, Yuki could see the ground now, she hat to
atleast try. She had pulled herself up just in time. She dared to open her eyes,
but when she did she was shocked to find herself flying upwards. She flew as
high as she could and then she landed as perfectly as she could.

She put
her head down and prepared for laughing and teasing but instead all she heard
was the sound if hooves stomping on the ground in delight. “That was the most
suspenseful thing I have ever seen!” The dark pegasi said. Yuki smiled she was
really proud of herself even though her wings still hurt. The dark pegasi
pondered for a while and the finally he walked up to Yuki with pride “Yuki was
it?” Yuki nodded with joy. The dark pegasi smirked and pulled out a uniform the
same as the one he was wearing and a pair of purple goggles. “Yuki, would you
like to join the shadowbolts?” He asked in a strong voice. Yuki’s eye widened
the shadowbolts were hated greatly and they are rivalled by the wonderbolts.

She shook her head “No, I’m not evil and let alone you wouldn’t want some as
sensitive as me…” Yuki sighed. The dark pegasi frowned “but that’s why we train
Yuki, life is full of challenges but we just got to get over them, plus you
could get revenge on all those who have laughed and looked over you…” These
words rushed through her head. “I know you have a bad side Yuki, you’re the one
who was a thief when you were a filly!” The dark pegasi answered in a booming
voice. Suddenly Yuki smiled, she loved those days when she was stealing. “Count
me in!” She said with a grin. The Dark pegasi handed her the uniform and
goggles. “My name is Hex by the way, and welcome aboard!” The two flew off
together into the shadows.

CHAPTER 4:

6 years later, Speed Star
was still happily living her life as a
Wonderbolt. Today was Sunday, so it
was Speed Stars day off and was headed for
rarity's boutique to get her
dress for this year's Grand Galloping Gala made.
Every year, Rarity
insisted on making her dress, the two had become very good
friends over the
years just by rarity making dresses and the teo ponies
chatting; Speed Star
had also become good friends with Fluttershy, twilight,
Applejack, and
pinkie pie.
However, today Yuki was also in Ponyville, ever
since she became a Shadowbolt, she became stronger mentally and physically, she
didn't care if anypony called her stupid anymore. However, she gets angry very
easily.
Speed Star was in her own little world, It was a lovely sunny

morning, there weren't many clouds in the sky so the sun was warming every

corner of Ponyville. The pink Pegasus was daydreaming about flying and of

course, her boyfriend, Dusk Rise. Dusk Rise was a dark grey Pegasus pony,
most
of the female ponies would fangirl him, but he loved Speed Star and
she loved
him, nothing had ever come between the two. Speed Star was
enjoying the sun so
absent mindedly that it caused her to walk right into
Yuki.
"Hey, watch
where you're going you idiot" Yuki shouted
angrily
" well somepony is a
little mad" Speed Star chuckled.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Yuki
growled as she pushed speed star.

"It means, calm ya freakin' farm kid"
speed star snapped as she
returned the push.
"Well.... well... I'm better
than you" Yuki said,
not being able to think of a better come back.
"And how
exactly, do you
figure that? Do you even know who I am?" speed star questioned
the blue
pony.

"Well what have you done that's so great then?" Yuki

asked
"well, you know Rainbow Dash?" Speed Star asked.
"Well duh, didn't

she die?" Yuki asked
"I killed her" Speed Star said
"yeah right, she

probably just died from old age" Yuki sneered
"She's only a year older
than
me" Speed star said
"So… that doesn't prove anything" Yuki jeered

"Don't believe me, then come with me" Speed Star grabbed Yuki and
sped off for
Canterlot archives.

Speed Star and Yuki were standing
in front of a
plaque hanging on one of the walls with a photo of Speed Star
on it "read that
kid" she said confidently.
"Awarded to Speed Star
the Pegasus for her
service in 'taking care of' the owner of the rainbow
department of the weather
factory, rainbow dash. after finding evidence of
ponies being murdered there,
this brave pony was asked to' take care of the
situation'." Yuki read
aloud.
"Yeah… well… I… flew with a broken
wing" Yuki was trying to one up
Speed Star
"You think that's something?
Both of my wings were broken for 6
years of my life. Let's just stop
arguing, put our differences aside and stuff".
Speed Star said. "we could
probably become good friends"
Then Dusk Rise
flew into the room

"Duskie, how did you find me?" Speed Star asked as she
nuzzled the dark
grey Pegasus pony
"Your brother told me, that thing how he
always knows
where you are thing is very handy. Who is this pony your with?" he

explained and asked.
"This is… er… I don't know, what is your name kid?"

Speed Star asked Yuki
"First off Speed Star, stop calling me kid. And
my
name is Yuki"
"That's a cool name" Dusk Rise smiled, whenever he met
a new
pony, he was always nice to them.
Yuki blushed. Could it be
possible that
she was in love with her new friends' boyfriend?
"So, uh
what are you two
doing here?" Dusk asked as he nuzzled Speed Star

"Yuck! You two are making
me sick" Yuki said
"Get used to it" Speed
Star murmured as she stared into
her boyfriend's eyes.
"Well, I'm
leaving if you ponies are going to
continue" Yuki said as she trotted
towards the door.
"Huh… wait no" Speed
Star turned and trotted to Yuki.

"Why Don't we all get to know each other?"
Yuki smiled
"Okay, let's
go sit on a cloud" Dusk Rise suggested.
The
three Pegasi flew to
Cloudsdale and sat on a cloud.
"Okay, I'll start" Speed
Star
said
"Let's go with, how old you are and stuff like that" Yuki

suggested.
"Okay, I'm 16, I've been going out with Duskie for 6 years, I

killed Rainbow Dash, I was flightless for 6 years of my life I, have a twin

brother, his name is Quick Silver… er… I'll tell you something secret
another
day" Speed Star said, she didn't want to tell Yuki about the
Wonderbolts… just
yet. She hated all the attention her fans gave her, they
were always bugging her
for interviews or giving her gifts.
"ME NEXT!"
Yuki yelled "Okay, I'm 14 I'm
kinda shy, and I love the night time"

"Okay, I guess it's my turn" Dusk Rise
said "like Speed Star, I'm 16,
I've been dating her for 6 years, and I like
flying, but not races."

"Well, now that we know a little more about each
other" Speed Star
started "we'll all get along better"
"Hey Speed Star" Yuki

asked
"Yeah" the pink Pegasus replied.
"When can I meet your brother? He

sounds like he's be cute" Yuki laughed
"Aaaah Yuki, I have no idea…
I'll ask
him when we can meet up, just for you, okay" Speed Star answered.

Speed Star
looked up, the sky had started to go dark "wow, looks like
we've been talking
all day, we should all go home, get some sleep.

"Yup, I've… gotta, go do
some stuff tonight" Yuki replied
"we
should meet up tomorrow, in the café
outside the library' Speed Star
replied
"Agreed" Yuki said
"Good night
Yuki" Dusk Rise said as he
flew off towards the ground, he was heading for the
Wonderbolt compound.

"Yeah, night Yuki" Speed Star said as she followed dusk
rise.
"Bye
guys" Yuki said as she headed for the Everfree forest.

Yuki was in
her house, located deep within the Everfree forest; she was sitting
at the
computer, talking to her boss, Hex. They were talking about Shadowbolt

business, when there was a knock on the door; Yuki switched off the computer

and answered the door.

Yuki trotted over to the wooden door, she slid it open to find a brown earth pony with a blue mane.
He smiled as he saw Yuki's face.
He had a tray strapped around his neck which had glass mugs filled up with rather rich looking beer.

Yuki stood there staring at him, she rolled her eyes "um, can I help you?" She said with a slight tone of nervous laughter.
The rather skinny earth pony stood there looking rather dazed. "Your hot, will you go out with me?"
Yuki stepped back "eww, no!" She snapped as she turned her head.
The earth pony smiled "Would you like some beer?"
Yuki looked at the glass mugs as she raised her hoof and knocked over the tray. Beer spilling everywhere, "aww, look at that my beer spilled..." The earth pony looked at the beer rather clueless.

"My name is Nelson and you are?" Nelson rather deeply smiled at Yuki.
"Urr, Yuki, now can you please leave me alone!" Yuki started to get mad.

"Ok" Nelson started trotting off into the forest. Yuki moaned "I hope some of the zombie ponies eat him..." She giggled as she opened up her laptop again, She continued to talk to Hex.

"I made a new friend today..." Yuki continued. Hex’s eyes widened "Friend!!?! Yu-" Yuki stopped him "Don't worry she is just a plain old Pegasus who couldn't even fly for like six year or something!" Yuki chuckled. Hex growled slightly "this 'friend' better not know about the Shadowbolts!" He said.

Yuki giggled "don't worry; when I get bored of her I'll kill her!" squeed Yuki

She closed her laptop and slowly trotted over to her bed. She jumped on top of it and squirmed until she was comfily in her right place. She drifted off to sleep, in the morning she awoke to knocking on her door. She slowly pulled herself out of bed and trotted towards the door to find Nelson eagerly waiting for Yuki.
Yuki shoved Nelson aside and continued walking towards Ponyville. She started to wonder what the time was… what if she was late!? She started to gallop. She had finally made it to ponyville's café.
She heard that peaceful bell ring when she opened the door. She spotted Dusk Rise and Speed star waiting at a table sharing a lemonade which each other .Just as they were about to kiss, Yuki trotted up to them, "Hay, sorry I'm a bit late!" Yuki apologized as she stretched her wings out. Yuki gave a little chuckle "I guess I over slept!" She said with a yawn as she sat down next to Speed star.
Dusk rise gave Yuki a smile "it's ok we only just got here!"
Speed star gave him a nudge "are you kidding me we have been waiting here for hours!" She complained.
Dusk rise blushed, "oh um, it just felt like hours...."

Yuki sighed "I'm so sorry I had a late night since I was being bothered by-" Yuki stopped as she spotted Nelson outside the café. He gave her a wave from outside. Speed star looked confused " By what?" She asked impatiently. Yuki tried to think what she would say "um, an earth pony who was selling beer!" She said. Dusk rise and Speed star sat there staring at her. "Um, he likes me in fact-" Yuki stopped as she jumped up in fear as she saw Nelson putting his face close to Yuki's. "That pony, he is bothering me!" Yuki screamed out pushing him away. Nelson came closer "want to share lemonade?" He asked trying to flirt. Speed Star suddenly got out of her chair and flew in front of Nelson. "Look, pal I don't know who you are but my friend wants you to leave her alone NOW GET LOST!" Speed star yelled pushing the skinny earth pony. Nelson screwed up his face and burst into tears as he ran off crying. Speed star sat down back into her seat smiling. "There you go Yuki!" Speed star smiled.

Yuki got up and quickly and bought a coffee she then came back to sit down.
She slowly sipped her rather hot coffee.

Dusk rise whispered over in Speed star's ear "aren't you going to tell her?" He asked. Speed star sighed and turned to Yuki.

"Hay, Yuki. I need to tell you something!" Speed star smiled.

"What?" Yuki replied.

"Well, I'm a Wonderbolt! See?" Speed star pointed over to a large poster of her in a wonder bolt uniform. Yuki's eye widened as her mouth flew open. Speed star chuckled "in fact, I'm their vice-captain!"
Yuki couldn't bring herself to say anything, she finished a sip of her coffee. Once she finished, she left some bits on the table and got ready to leave. "Um, I have to go now..." Before Speed Star could say anything Yuki had already taken off. Speed Star looked at Dusk rise in confusion "I was expecting her to get me to sign something!" Dusk rise nodded in agreement.

MEANWHILE:

Yuki was rushing through Ponyville and heading towards the Everfree forest when she smashed into a rather good looking colt. He was a Pegasus with blue spiked up mane and he had a pair of silver goggles on top of his head. His cutie mark was visible, it was a light yellow shooting star, but not like the one Speed Star had. Yuki smiled when she saw him suddenly she focused on the task at hand. "Um, I'm so sorry I really am, my name is Yuki and yours is..."
The colt looked at Yuki with a slight smile "my name is Quick silver!" He smiled.
Yuki stood there blinking at him. This handsome colt was that rowdy Speed star's twin brother!?
Yuki laughed nervously "um, you don't happen to be related to Speed star the Wonderbolt do you?" She asked.
Quick Silver nodded "yep how did you know?-" But when Quick Silver lifted his head Yuki was nowhere to be seen.
When Yuki reached her house she locked her door and opened up her laptop. "Um, Hex come in!" She spoke clearly. "Hex in, yes Yuki..." He said with pride.
"Problem, my friend is vice-captain of the Wonderbolts!" Yuki said with fear. You could tell those words enraged him, as he glared at Yuki "YOU ARE MAKING FRIENDS WITH THE WONDERBOLTS?! YUKI, YOU KNOW YOU JOB NOW DO IT!" He hissed. Yuki ears flopped down.

"KILL HER, WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT KILL HER!" He screeched. Yuki laughed nervously. "Of… course..." She sighed. She went outside for some fresh air she slowly trotted towards Ponyville.

"I have to think of a plan, what I could possibly do..." Yuki sat there pondering all of the things she could do. Suddenly she had an idea; she could challenge Speed star to a race. Then she would be able to find out Speed star’s way of flight and her weakness as well.

Yuki spotted Speedster laughing with some odd Pegasus, she flew over to the two "Oh hi Yuki, this is Wildfire, she is one of my friends!" speed star smiled. Wildfire grinned as she shook hooves with Yuki "Nice to meet yah, actually we’re best friends'"
Yuki blushed "um, nice to meet you too..."

Wildfire looked at Speed star "See yah' SS!" She said as she flew off.

Speed star looked up at Yuki "so... What's happening?" Speed star asked in excitement.
"Well, I figured we should have a race together!" Yuki said with a daring smile.

Speed star giggled "you want to race me?" Speed star said holding her head high.

Yuki stroked her mane "well, you see I happening to be a great flyer too you know!" She laughed.

"Ok, let's use Cloudsdale's race track ok?" Speed star said as she pointed behind her towards the race track.

The two flew up trying to save their energy. Well it was mostly Yuki. Speed Star has the ability to fly for hours and hours without getting tired. When they reached the race course the two looked around for someone to say go or something. Then they spotted a rather wild looking Pegasi, " hay there could you maybe start us off with our race here?" Speed star asked kindly. The Pegasus agreed “anything for a Wonderbolt!” and he stood up on a cloud waiting. Then Speed star gave him the signal to start counting. The Pegasi slowly started counting down from three,
The two eager Pegasi stretched out their wings getting ready to race. Yuki didn't really mind if she lost or not since this was just to see Speed star's level.

As the Pegasus on the cloud screamed out go, the two Pegasi launched off the starting line. Speed star turned to find Yuki right next to her, her eyes immediately widened no pony has ever kept up with her before!
Speed Star grinned but not for long she thought as she increased her speed and increased her lead on Yuki.

Yuki looked in doubt as she saw she was behind Speed star. But this gave her the perfect chance to view Speed star’s wings. She watched carefully and quickly figured it out. Now Yuki was ready for a real race, she caught up to Speed star. Speed star tried to go ahead but she would always end up next to Yuki. Speed star knew what she had to do, preform her shooting star move. As she sped up she was just about to launch off in front of Yuki. Yuki was waiting for something like that as she launched off her signature move thunder crash she sped up heading towards Speed star. She wasn't meant to go so fast and she ended up crashing into Speed star the two tumbled in mid-air as they crashed into the finish line together. Clouds went flying everywhere when they crashed. Speed star got up to find Yuki on her back. Yuki quickly flew up as the two started laughing. Speed star smiled at Yuki "we all know that I one though!" She said with pride. Yuki folded her arms "No way, I won!" She smiled.

Speed star looked at her "let's just call it a tie for now!" She giggled.

"You know Yuki you might just be good enough to become a Wonderbolt too!" Speed star said quiet impressed. Yuki blushed "aww, nah I couldn't..."

Things were now clear to Yuki, Speed star was her best friend and she wanted to protect her even though she knew that would be impossible in the end. But it was probably worth trying.

She started to stare at Speed star’s cutie mark. It was very similar to her brothers. Yuki lifted her head to normal height "hey, Speed star do you want to enter that grand race that's on tomorrow?" Yuki asked.
Speed star sat there "hmm, I think Wildfire is in that! She only entered it to try beat me… it’s one of those things that as a Wonderbolt I have to attend." speed star grinned.
"Then we can see who really is the fastest!" Yuki said getting excited.

Speed star nodded her head in agreement. Then the two them headed off to Cloudsdale city centre. Where there was an orange Pegasus out the front with a stand in front of her. There was a large sign above it saying 'Grand Cloudsdale race tickets' the two flew over to the pony "um, can my friend enter the race here?" Speed star asked kindly. The pony grumbled for a bit "yeah sure, the two you just need to fill out this sheet..." The pony handed them both a sheet and a quill for writing.
“Woah woah woah, you two, don’t you mean you, do YOU have any idea who I am?” Speed Star stomped her hoof on the ground.
“Sorry miss Speed Star, I didn’t see it was you” the Pegasus said shyly.
Yuki started to fill the sheets out making sure she didn't miss out anything. When she had finished Yuki handed the sheet back.

The pony quickly checked it and shuffled some papers around.
Then she smiled at them "your all set, be here at 7:00 in the morning!"

THE LOSS OF CONTROL: Speed Star And
yuki: part 0 : chapter 1.
There once was a time, when
the Shadowbolts and the Wonderbolts lived together without argument. The
Wonderbolts performed during the day and the Shadowbolts guarded the night, but
the day that Nightmare Moon attempted to take control of the country of
Equestria, the Shadowbolts followed. Celestia, alongside the Wonderbolts used
the Elements Of Harmony to banish the shadowbolts and Nightmare Moon, Their
power of light banished the Shadowbolts to what’s now known as the Everfree
forest, and Nightmare moon was sent to the moon. The wonderbolts and shadowbolts
have never been seen together for 1000 years.
1000 years later, on the
longest day of the thousandth year, Nightmare Moon makes her return, The new
holders of the elements of harmony, 6 young mares, Pinkie pie, Applejack,
Rarity, Derpy Hooves, Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle, use their new found
powers to defeat Nightmare Moon and free her from her curse. The group
encountered the shadowbolts whilst on their quest. That was the first known
encounter with the dark pegasi in 100 years. The 6 brave and heroic ponies were
the first in a long time who survived the Everfree forest. There are a few
theories going around, the Shadowbolts killed them, or they got lost and starved
to death, all of the rumours end in ponies dying from the various challenges
that the forest throws at them.
What would happen if a Shadowbolt and a
Wonderbolt became friends? Would it start a war? Would anypony die in the
process to return harmony between the two groups of elite fliers?
A chance
encounter could change Equestria’s history forever
