Lily Blossom has lived in New York City her whole life. As a pony living among humans, she has known the sickening feeling of being ostracised. That's not to say that everyone has this attitude towards her - many of her best friends are humans. But it still happens, and it still pains her. After a particularly rough encounter with a sapienist, Lily Blossom decides to look into her family's history and find out why ponies and humans are so different, why ponies are viewed as parasites, and why the sapienists think they can treat her like dirt. The story of it all, as she is about to find out, begins in a world called Equestria.
