To Catch a Naughty Rainbow
"RAINBOW MIRIAM DANGER DASH!"
The shout reverberated through the silent bakery, breaking the stillness of the morning hours. Mr and Mrs. Cake, along with their foals, were away on a baking retreat. Pinkie growled and picked up speed. The wind roared and rushed around her as she pursued the speeding Pegasus. Beads of sweat dripped down Pinkie's face as she reversed course herself. The reason she was chasing Dash had been lost in the thrill of the chase itself. Her legs were burning and her heart was pounding. She hadn't lost sight of Dash who was gliding at a relaxed pace before suddenly plowing through a cloud. Pinkie was gently placed onto the ground just as Dash zipped away. Applejack looked up to see Dash laughing and flying away, occasionally blowing a raspberry down at the earth. Applejack shrugged. "Good mornin', Pinkie, Dash!"
"Good morning!" They both shouted, neither pausing in their chase. Pinkie darted and zagged around the stalls that the farmers and merchants were setting up. She paused to say happy birthday to Roseluck. Dash sailed through the blue sky, her feathers catching the breeze and pushing her forward with little effort of her own.
The thermal she had caught gently tugged her along as if they were waves of the sea. She didn't really need to flap her wings. She just needed to keep her wings open and soar along. She dipped down low so that her hooves drug along the ground.

She surged right for the window of Sugarcube Corner and turned upward at the last moment. She landed on the Pegasus landing post, right near the door with the heart cut into it. She stared at it. She should have figured out Pinkie had a crush on her from that. It would have saved a lot of time.

Pinkie whirled around and took the steps two at a time. For a minute, Dash was afraid she was going to trip and hurt herself.
