Several hours has passed since Ash and his friends returned to the Alola region and the members of the Aether Foundation left for Aether Paradise. The class was now finishing their last lesson.

"Well later guys," said Kiawe waving his friends farewell before taking off on his Charizard. Both Lana and Sophocles waved goodbye before taking off along with Mallow who quickly rushed home to help her father with the restaurant. Just as Ash was about to head home Lillie called out to him.

"Um Ash are you free today?" Lillie asked.

"Yeah why?" Ash asked.

"I was wondering if you could spend some time with me looking for any clues on the legendary Pokemon," answered Lillie.

"Lillie what's gotten into you?" asked Ash.

"Oh nothing, normally I would do something like this on my own, but knowing that Team Conquest could be here just makes me a little nervous since I'm not good a Pokemon Battles and all," answered Lillie.

"Sure thing, I'll help," beamed Ash.

"Oh thank you Ash," said Lillie.

Ash grinned as he took her hand and began walking,"Come on let's go," Both Pikachu and Snowy following behind. However the two didn't notice Gladion hiding behind a tree watching them intently.

"So Lillie where do you want to start looking?" asked Ash.

"Looking for what pal?" asked a male voice. The two stopped short as two men in red visors and Team Conquest uniforms stepped in front of them.

Lillie's eyes widened as she took a step back,"Ash they're-"

The two Conquest Grunts crossed arms and leaned against each other and said in unison,"Team Conquest enters at last!"

"You!" Ash growled.

"Heh what didn't think you'd meet us here?" asked Grunt A.

"What do you want with us?" asked Lillie.

"You know what punk, hand over the Hoopa and we'll let you go without a fight," said Grunt B.

"But we don't have Hoopa," said Lillie.

"Oh so that's the way it's gonna be huh, well fine we can play it the hard way," said Grunt A taking out a crystallized figure of a Pokemon and a Golden Pokeball. Ash glared at the two grunts while Pikachu and Snowy got into battle stance ready to protect their trainer. Grunt a smirked as he threw the Pokeball,"Go Latios!" The ball popped open and a black energy flowed out taking the form of a Pokemon with wings and small hands but no legs. The Pokemon had white scales running down from it's neck while the lower half was mostly covered in blue scales. Blue scales covered the upper half of the face and several white scales encircled the Pokemon's forehead. It's deep black eyes glared at Ash and Lillie.

"A Latios!" Ash gasped.

Rotom quickly scanned the Pokemon, "Latios Eon Pokemon Dragon Psychic Type, Latios will only open it's heart to a trainer with a compassionate spirit. This Pokemon can fly faster than a jet plane by folding it's forelegs to minimize air resistance," said Rotom.

"Pikachu I choose you," said Ash. Pikachu ran up to confront the foe Latios. Snowy followed Pikachu's example and stood next to it ready for battle,"

"All we have to do is break that figure," said Lillie.

"Got it," said Ash.

"I'll handle the Latios," a familiar voice spoke up. Ash and Lillie turned around as Gladion walked up to them with his Silvally next to him.

"Gladion!" Lillie called out. "What are you doing here I thought you went home,"

"I asked mother to stay behind, I wanted to make sure you don't run into any trouble," said Gladion.

"Well we got trouble," said Ash.

Gladion glared at the two grunts,"You guys never seem to learn do you,"

"Ha as if you didn't do even worse things in the past," snarled Grunt B.

Grunt A raised the Latios figure and ordered,"Latios Dragon Breath on Pikachu," the figure's eyes flashed red and Latios began inhaling before it loose a stream of purple air at Pikachu.

"Dodge it!" Ash ordered. Pikachu quickly sidestepped out of the way. "Good now tackle that grunt with quick attack!" said Ash pointing to Grunt A. Pikachu began to dash at the grunt at full speed.

"Latios Dragon Breath one more time!" the grunt ordered. Once again the figure's eyes flashed red as Latios took another big breath.

"Silvally Multi Attack!" Gladion ordered. Silvally pulled it's talon back as it's fin and tail began to glow in a light blue color. It's talon began to freeze up as small clusters of ice began to form. It charged at Latios swinging it's talon into it's left cheek before it could attack Pikachu.

"Ha fool that won't work on-" but the grunt's comment was cut off as Pikachu tackled him in the stomach sending the figure flying and landing near Snowy's feet. Lillie quickly picked up the figure held it tight.

"Nice work Pikachu!" Ash called out. Both Pikachu and Silvally quickly returned to their respective trainers getting into battle stance.

"Damn it!" groaned Grunt A holding his stomach in pain.

"Lillie the figure, destroy it!" Gladion said. Lillie quickly threw the figure on the ground and stomped on it breaking it into pieces. Latios let out a screech as it collapsed on the ground.

"Did I do it?" Lillie asked. Suddenly a white light appeared and floated into Latios. Several seconds later Latios opened it's eyes and began looking around at it's surroundings.

"Wh- Where am I?" Latios asked.

"It looks like he regained conscious," said Gladion. Lillie walked up to Latios and asked.

"Latios are you alright?"

"Yes I'm fine, by the way are you the trainer that freed my soul?" asked Latios.

"Uh yeah I guess you could say that," said Lillie.

"I thank you for that trainer, what is your name?" asked Latios.

"Lillie," Lillie answered.

"Lillie, such a beautiful name," said Latios.

"Thank you," said Lillie blushing. Suddenly both Grunts got to their feet and hissed.

"We'll remember this!" Grunt A quickly took off with Grunt B following behind him.

"Team Conquest and their Notorious actions," grunted Latios. "By and by I really appreciate your help," said Latios.

"It was nothing," said Lillie.

"But I must warn you that it's far from over," said Latios.

"What do you mean?" asked Gladion.

"You see Team Conquest has bigger plans for the legendary Pokemon," answered Latios. "This is regarding the so called creatures known as Ultra Beasts and the Ultra Wormhole," said Latios.

"The Ultra Beasts!?" Gladion asked shocked.

Latios nodded,"Team Conquest believes that if they have the legendary Pokemon under their control that they are invincible," said Latios. "However what they're planning is far more sinister than you think,"

"What do you mean?" asked Ash.

"Team Conquest has captured the Ultra Beast and are forcing them to open Ultra Wormholes to different dimensions so they can send the legendary Pokemon to wreck havoc in those dimensions," answered Latios.

"What!?" screamed Ash. Lillie gasped as she put her hands over her mouth, Gladion's eyes widened in terror.

"I'm afraid you'll need to take back the legendary Pokemon if you want to stop Team Conquest," said Latios.

The three went silent before Ash broke the silence,"We'll stop them I know it," said Ash Pikachu nodding in agreement.

"I must be going now but if you are ever in need of assistance don't hesitate to call me," said Latios.

"We will thanks Latios," said Lillie. With that Latios took off and flew into the horizon.

"I'll tell Kukui about this," said Ash.

"I'll make sure Aether knows about this as well," said Gladion. The three nodded.

"Come on Lillie I'll take you home," said Ash.

"Alright," said Lillie following Ash.

"Team Conquest," mumbled Gladion looking up at the Alolan Sky. "We won't forgive you for this,"

Chapter 7 complete. So now we've uncovered Team Conquest's true intentions. How will Ace react to this. But other than that Ash, Lillie, and Gladion managed to save one of the Eon twins. Hopefully Latias is safe.
