Splash!

Is all what could be heard by the dock, as Green Heart was suddenly pushed into the water, unnoticeable to anyone of who did it.

They thought she fell in, but it was all Sour Sweet.

But this wasn't the time to worry about that.

“I-I cant swim!! I can't swim!!”

Green Heart shouted out as she waved her arms out, trying to stay afloat, but only slowly started to sink, the more she panicked.

She could see her life starting to flash before her eyes.

Gloriosa had been sitting at the picnic table, reading the local newspaper, but her head shot up, immediately after she heard the cries for help. Of course, Next seeing Green Heart struggling to stay afloat, she threw the newspaper on the ground and bolted to the dock. Her body shaking in fright, as she knew what might happen if she didn't get in that water, now.

Gloriosa reached the end of the dock quickly, and wasted no time diving into the water, and swimming towards Green Heart to try and grab her from drowning.

All while this was going on, Sour Sweet stood near the end of the dock still, but acting surprised like she had no idea what was going on.

“Ohh goodness! Green Heart can't swim?!” She exclaimed.

Then snickered carefully for no one to see.

“How embarrassing.”

Gloriosa had managed to grab Green Heart from under the arms and put her by her side, slowly beginning to haul her out of the water.

Tirelessly, Gloriosa dragged her out of the Sand and onto the bench beside the dock.

Green Heart coughed and coughed, trying to catch her breath.

She immediately began to shiver from the shock of the cold water.

“G-Guh…”

“Oh my! You're freezing! Quickly! Come with me!” Gloriosa placed a hand on her cheek and helped Green Heart up to take her into the lodge.

Once the two were in lodge, Gloriosa sat Green Heart down at put a towel around her, followed by a large, crochet blanket, made by her grandmother herself.

Gloriosa squeezed out her hair and put a towel around her as well, no saying anything else as she frantically ran around the kitchen trying to make something warm up for Green Heart.

Green Heart’s dark purple eyes scanned the Beautiful log lodge.

Her arms wrapped around herself as she shivered a bit, but tried her best to still dry herself off with the towel.

“This is-...”

“I'm sorry, there isn't much I could do.

Timber didn't pick up any tea.. Hope you like chocolate.”

Gloriosa told her as she approached Green Heart with a small Red mug with random flower designs on it.

Green Heart broke a small smile from her cold cheeks as she reached out and grabbed the cup from Gloriosa's hands.

Her fingers gently slid against hers when she grabbed the mug, feeling her soft skin.

Green Heart relaxed back on the couch and let another small shiver from her body before taking a sip of the Sweet and warm hot chocolate that was presented to her.

“Is it alright?..”

Gloriosa asked, still concerned as she sat down beside her, resting a hand on her covered shoulder.

“I-It's perfect.. Thank you.” Green Heart nodded in response, she also had a full smile on her face now.

Gloriosa sighed.

“I apologize for what happened.. You haven't been having the best time so far have you?..” She asked, a look of pity rested on her face. Her brows couldn't have arched upward any more.

“Oh no, it hasn't been that bad. Lemon Zest is making it seem pretty fun. We've done some things together, and, you seem pretty cool too.”

Green Heart said heartfully with a smile and light blush, of course.

Gloriosa’s eyes widened a bit, she was surprised that Green Heart had said such a thing.

“I'm flattered.” She answered with a small giggle.

Her eyes moved to the view of the outside, scanning over the campers. But, there was one in particular that seemed to catch her eye, and not for the first time.

“That other girl doesn't seem to like you I see.”

Gloriosa’s normal, more cheerful voice, turned into a deeper one. Like she had suddenly became annoyed, which was indeed true in the long run. Especially with Sour Sweet. She had become a bit of a nuisance now to Green Heart, and for some reason it made Gloriosa’s nerves tingle in anger.

“I-I mean.. well.. she's never been nice to me.. She's kinda, I mean, I think she's a little weirded out by my skin, and since I'm particularly new, I'm just a target..” Green Heart replied sheepishly.

Gloriosa looked back at Green Heart, her eyes scanned over what you could see of her skin.

The random patches and blotches of a darker tone of the more dominant colour of her skin showed greatly.

Gloriosa smiled.

“I don't see anything wrong with your skin, I think it's beautiful.” She couldn't help but grab Green Heart’s hand gently and get a better look at some of the patches on there. “What's it called again?...”

“Vitiligo..” Green Heart almost didn't answer. “And I've always been so self-conscious about it..” She shivered a bit.

“Hm, well you know, I've always been self conscious about, my freckles!”

Gloriosa put a finger to her right cheek, placing the tip on one of her freckles.

“Well.. I think, those freckles are, a-adorable..” Green Heart commented shyly as she pressed her back to the arm end of the couch, rolling her shoulders.

Gloriosa giggled at Green Heart’s shyness. Something about this girl, made her intrigued, smile, and gave her a little bit of happiness in her empty heart. She hated seeing Green Heart getting bullied around by Sour Sweet, it was just too heartbreaking.

Gloriosa leaned closer to Green Heart after she had rested against the end of the couch.

Green Heart grew flustered, and nervous, as her eyes then met with Gloriosa's.

Her face grew heavy, as she could feel the sweat building up as she looked at the gold gradient in her view.

The counsellor could sense that Green Heart was nervous, so she rested a hand on her shoulder and squeezed it gently.

“Are you scared I'm going to hurt you?.. I would never.”

Green Heart only shook her head. With a big smile, she leaned more forward toward Gloriosa.

After falling in the lake, and how cold she felt from the shock, Green Heart could finally feel her body warming up, as hers’ and Gloriosa's got closer by the moment. She could feel something fulling them closer together.

Was it.. Love?...

Gloriosa tilted her head to the side, as her smile shined as bright as a sunset on the lake, she sensed Green Heart wanted something from her, but she knew she wouldn't tell verbally, so she leaned in more as well.

Before they knew it, they're noses were almost touching.

Green Heart gulped, as her eyes couldn't move away from hers.

Almost under a trance, Green Heart couldn't hold back anymore. She almost made the move, but didn't have the chance.

Gloriosa has already forcefully pressed her lips against Green Heart’s.

She gasped a bit, but knew there was nothing to lose, so she only closed her eyes and and rested her lips against hers.

Moving her head a bit for a less awkward angle.

She couldn't believe this was happening. She knew on the first day she had something for Gloriosa, but she didn't think something like this would happen so quickly.

Her mind was in a million places, but managed to pause when she felt Gloriosa's arms resting around her neck and back.

That making Green Heart just wanting to lean in more.

Both had their eyes closed, their heads moving slightly every couple seconds to keep with some kind of movement.

The two of them were caught in the moment.

Green Heart’s hands wandered to Gloriosa’s hips, and soon they had slithered around her waist, pulling her a bit closer on her. The temptation was hard to ignore.

What was even more crazy was that Green Heart had never interacted with anyone like this before. But meanwhile she knew exactly what to do.

The two carried on for about 5 more minutes.

Unfortunately, they got damnly interrupted.

The sound of the lodge door slamming open made the two of them push each other away and shake their heads, both their faces covered in crimson red.

Of course being who it was, she only paused in surprise whom to what she walked into seeing.

Sour Sweet’s facial expression had never looked so obscure. Her jaw dropped, and her brows went in two different directions.

Standing there in silence for a moment, her posture not changing from when her arm pushed the door open.

Sour Sweet shook her head and tried to get the vision out of her head.

“W-Where are the keys for the dining hall?? Dean Cadance wants me to hand out snacks.” She sneered, but the same surprised facial expression didn't move much.

Gloriosa paused before even answering,

Her blood began to boil quickly, her eye twitched. Her surprised expression changed to a very violent and angered one.

“Right. There.” Gloriosa put her arm out and pointed with a finger to the island counter which had a pair of keys.

Her tone in that response couldn't be more angered.

Her teeth grinded, and her eye twitched uncontrollably.

Sour Sweet retrieved the keys and quickly left after that, like nothing happened.

Green Heart sat up straight and wrapped her arms around herself. She could feel the tears beginning to welt up.

“I-I'm so sorry Gloriosa!” She cried out.

She tried to say something else before she felt one of Gloriosa's fingers rest on her lips.

“Don't you worry, I'll make sure no one finds out.” She whispered with a smile.

“But!- How will you do that?! You can't control her! Sh-She'll tell everyone by tonight!” Green Heart couldn't help but weep, as the tears came down from her eyes.

Gloriosa closed her eyes and thought.

“I've got this..” She let her teeth show with her wide smile.

“Everyone will forget about this by the end of the week..”

Hehe, I know this chapter is kinda more lovey dovey, but it's jut character development. And I want to make sure people know the bond between my OC and Gloriosa. And this leads towards more of the dark part of the story..
