Chapter 9: The Dragon Lands

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Hello and Welcome to the Dragon Lands, the one and only home of the myth and legend itself. If you do not believe that dragons exist, I assure you, you will be surprised when we get there. But, as your tour guide, I must warn you. There are certain things in the Dragon Lands that may prove dangerous, the first of which being the dragons themselves of course, but if you pay attention to this guide, you'll know how to stay out of trouble in these "uncharted waters", as it were.

The first and most important fact about the dragons is that they are greedy. Even more so than the Griffons. So greedy in fact, that it can affect their behavior.

With this simple fact being an integral part of who they are, there is a particular part of dragon culture where a baby dragon is introduced to this concept early on, in order to prevent it from growing worse in later years. If one learns to pacify their greed with small amounts rather than having to possess mass amounts of everything all at once, they have a better chance of not being too negatively affected in the long run.

But aside from the usual gems, dragons horde their mates. In the Dragon Lands, polygamy is considered a show of status or power. The more mates one possesses, the more respect one receives.

Of course, this goes without saying for the dragon lord, and the old rule does still apply. Dragons mate for life, and all members of the resulting harem are treated with the utmost respect and care.

A dragon's sexual skill lies not in knowledge, but in the body itself. Whereas the Griffons make up for their inexperience with their eagerness and stamina, Dragons without experience have nothing to fear when it comes to performance, as their bodies are both much softer, and much more durable, than they appear.

A dragon's scales may appear hard and rough, but in truth, Dragons are the softest beings in all of Futaquestria. Their scales protect them from harm during the roughest of sexual escapades, while also providing their partner with a soft, cushy feel that no stallion can resist. That, combined with their higher than average body temperature, and you have the perfect mate for anyone desiring a long, pleasant, comfortable experience.

The way of life these dragons cultivate consists of nothing more than trade. The land they live on is made up of mostly rocky mountains and other such things, like caves. They are very similar in that respect to the griffons as well. Excess gems are used as a sort of currency to gain things of use from others. The rarer the better. The wealthiest dragons are those with both the most, and the rarest gems. This method is also used with other countries, however rare outside trade is.

Unlike their neighbors in the equestrian circuit however, dragons are very possessive as well, making any attempt at sharing ones mate or mates, at least under normal circumstances, a non-entity. The current dragon lord is trying to oppose this, but is finding trouble as many of her people remain rooted in the old ways.

The Dragons are also much like the Griffons in one other way as well. Much like a griffon's "Mama Bird Syndrome", a dragon expresses an instinctual desire to submit to one who bests them, effectively becoming that being's servant, rather than betrothed.

Just like all of the places we've visited, the Dragon Lands have their rules, and we must follow them, lest we get chased out of their borders with burning backsides as our only company.

Rule 1 is simply a restatement of the broadly accepted rule- personal pleasure items are probibited.

Rule 2 states that no one, under any circumstances is to trade with counterfeit jewels.

Rule 3(The rule the dragon lord is currently working to change) says that no one is to interfere with the affairs of another roost(dragons name for harems.)

Rule 4 states that, while rape is accepted everywhere in Futaquestria, it is seen as a formal challenge here, and one must participate in a tournament of dominance and win in order to make up for his actions.

The festivals in the Dragon Lands consist mostly of an assortment of tournaments. These tournaments decide various things within the land.

The first and most important tournament, is the Tournament of Choice. It is a set of one on one sexual battles meant to single out one dragon for the purpose of marrying the dragon lord. Currently the dragon lord has no mate.

The second tournament is for those who set out to rape another dragon. The tournament of Possession. It is a battle of wills so to speak, in which the perpetrator is to participate in a sexual battle against the victim. Should the perpetrator win, they receive the victim as a servant, as well as that victim's store of jewels. The same is done, should the victim win. This is often done as a game to see who can gain the most servants, all of whom can be released by the master's order should they deem fit.

The third tournament, and also the most fun, the Tournament of Strength, is indeed exactly what it sounds like. A tournament built to determine the strongest sexual partner out of all the dragons. This is done in a country-wide battle royal where the prize is a set of gems from the royal storage.

The Fourth Tournament, the tournament of Bonding, is basically a glorified wedding ceremony. The two dragons say their vows while having sex in mid air in the center of the coliseum, and at the end, they each breathe fire, creating a heart in the center of the ring. Whoever cums first is considered the submissive one in the relationship.

These dragons have no night life to speak of, unless you count the privacy of their respective caves. however, since sex is so deeply ingrained into their lifestyle, they are the only race without a sexual activity to engage in in the night.

Instead, these great beings simply stare at the stars, shooting bursts of fire into the air. If one is observant, they can catch the sight what looks like fireworks exploding in the distance.
