the kitsune's empire/ being rewritten/by gypsyfoxChaptersoff to ponylandsombra pinatabooks, muskets, and speeches oh myThe quoting of david.s.pumpkinof rubix cubes and pretty pink ponysmoons, dogs and explanationsbeing rewritten in separate storyoff to ponylandWhen most humans are faced with something that is unnatural they normally try to A destroy it or B study it. So, when a goddess sends one of her messengers to my house I’m happy to fall under B. As I sat looking at the pure white three tailed kitsune sitting on my table with a letter I decided to reflect at how this had happened. It had been a mostly normal day, well as normal as a day can get in japan. I ran a small herbal shop situated in a small back alley called: the vixen’s brew: The only thing out of place that had happened today was the box of Inari sushi that I had bought for lunch had disappeared and the old fortune teller said that I would soon become like that of my spirit. Most simply would have ignored this as the crazed ramblings of an old women, but everything she had said before always ended up happening granted she predicted a lot of stuff, but this was even more cryptic than normal After work, I headed to the shrine to pay my respects and went home my house was on one of the backstreets that led into the city. The surrounding area was a dense forest filled with cherry blossom trees which is why I like it so much. While the house itself wasn’t very big and it was in the middle of nowhere with no neighbors it was still home. I had opened the door and stepped inside when I noticed that my door was unlocked and that something was breathing behind me. As I slowly turned around hundreds of scenarios had run through my head, upon seeing what was behind me my mind ground to a halt. And thus, here we are staring at each other. Most humans would have freaked out and screamed, or would have bowed and reverently started praying, but as I said before I am not most humans. I walked past the kitsune on the table and to the pot of tea that was on the kitchen counter, reaching up I grabbed my favorite coffee cup an orange mug with white lettering that simply said wait. Pouring me a cup of tea I turned and walked back up to the kitsune and took the letter from him. Setting down my mug I sat down in one of the chairs at the table and opened the letter. Hello little human I’ve watched and waited and have grown bored of the lands here so I have chosen you to entertain me. I am going to turn you into a kitsune and send you to another world where you are going to cause havoc by simply being yourself. But don’t worry too much little human I shall give you the proper knowledge of how to use your body among other things, have fun …… Inari, PS tell Faust I said hi. I didn’t have any time to really register the letter due to the burning pain enveloping my body I could feel as my body changed on a fundamental level, bones breaking and mending flesh and muscle twisting and changing, my brain felt like it was on fire from the sudden influx of knowledge. As the darkness closed in around my vison the last thing I felt was the kitsune nudge something into my hand. When I came to the first thing I saw was white, then I felt it the cold wind carried by a snowy breeze. Looking around I realized that I was on a snowy plain with a few sparse trees scattered about. The area around me was steaming and on the ground next to me was an ornate spear and an oddly shaped set of armor. Next to them was a book, on its cover was a kitsune. Upon seeing the book, the memories of what happened came back to me. Eye widening, I turned to look at myself, five tails, bright orange fur, paws and claws yep I was a kitsune. Looking down even further I confirmed that I was still male. I was about 6 feet tall and around 10 feet long from tail tip to muzzle. Even though I had a completely new body I seemed to know how to already use it. My gaze went to the spear, the shaft itself was made from a dark looking metal with runes carved all over it about 5 feet long. At around four feet up the shaft a metal fox with multiple tales wrapping around the shaft itself a foot-long blade in the shape of a broad leaf coming from its mouth. Set in the center of the blade was a gem that seemed to glow with a myriad of colors. Tearing my gaze from the spear I then looked at the armor. It looked like it was made to fit my new form. The helmet was elongated to fit my skull a muzzle guard ran down in front of it there were what even looked like hinged ear guards, the main body of the armor was fashioned like scale mail with plates over the vital sections. Under the armor were what looked like leg guards, at the back end of the armor were 5 long strips of segmented metal plates that I assumed were for my tails Wait, how did I know that? Then it dawned on me I had been given the needed knowledge of how to use it and the spear by Inari and now that I think about it that’s probably why I’ve been so calm at having a new body, not that I was complaining I absolutely loved foxes. Speaking of said body I decided to give the tails a test run by using one to pick up the book. Looking at the title of the book I knew wat it was immediately, a spell book in a sense but instead of spells it seemed to teach you how to make your own. Something I deemed far more useful than any spell book. Standing up I picked up my armour and put it on then picked up the spear with a tail. Looking around didn’t bare much more than what I had already observed, snow, snow and even more snow. I was about to give up when I spotted a slight glimmer in the distance, something else then snow catching the sunlight through the storm, deciding it was better than nothing I started in that direction. sombra pinataSeven hours, seven fucking hours, that’s how long it took to see what was causing that shimmer, it was a city. The area around it was surrounded by a wall of swirling snow almost like a snow storm. But what really drew my attention was the building themselves. They looked like they were made of crystal. I openly gaped in shock when I caught sight of the citadel in the center of the city, it was almost a thousand meters high and wide, looking at it more closely it kind of reminded me of the iflel tower. Looking down I estimated the border of the city was maybe an hour away. As I walked I started to look at the spell craft book and began to put together three simple spells, one was a shield spell, then I made a spell that made my fur look like the surrounding area. The third shot a bolt of lightning out the tip of one of my tails. I had just finished when I realized that I had reached the border of the city, looking around I noticed that the city seemed empty and almost depressing. Then I saw why, a line of multi colored ponies, foals attached to chains being led to a mine. Looking at the armor of the ones doing the leading and the feeling of wrongness and hatred they gave off I deduced that they were evil and needed to be destroyed. Realizing that I was outnumbered I decided to do a sneaky approach by casting my chameleon spell, I began to walk towards the armored pony. Drawing back my spear I thrust it forwards into the back of its head. Blood spattered across the ground, I stepped back to avoid the blood trail so my fur didn’t get hit revealing my location. Unfortunately, I failed to remember that while I blended end with my surrounding’s my spear did not neither did my book, I did however remember this when a halberd passed next to my muzzle, blocking the second swing of the enraged guard with my spear I lashed out with my claws catching the guard across the throat. My claws easily tore through the guard’s armor with a spatter of blood like a knife through paper. The fourth guard had turned tail and tried to run away to alert the other guards in the area. I had unfortunately for him put a end to that endeavor with a well-placed lightning bolt to the back of his armored head. His corpse had crumpled like a ragdoll a few second after it had hit him. Turning to look at the chained ponies I realized that they were all staring at me in fear. Yet somewhere in their eyes there was hope, a hope that I would free them. Looking at the bodies of the guards I tried to find a key for the shackles that they were wearing. Upon finding it I threw it to the first pony. “Take those keys unlock your fellows, grab the weapons and armor and free the rest of you, it appears that it is time for a revolution, I’m going to find the fucker that runs this place and kill him.” With that said I reactivated my chameleon spell and ran towards the citadel in the center figuring that was where the ruler of this place was. I ran in to more guards along the way but with a few well-placed lightning spells and a swipe of my claws I ended their charge early. I had almost reached the main gates when the statue of a gryphon that had been on the pedestal in front of them came to life and tried to rip my throat out. The only thing that had saved me was the shield spell I had made. Me having activated it after a guard had almost hit me with a thrown spear, even then the blow still sent me flying backwards into a wall. I quickly stood up and flung a lightning bolt at the statue but it simply dispersed on the shimmering stone. It was then I realized that the dammed thing was immune to magic, charging forward I tried to impale the dammed griffin golem on my spear. But the blade only went in about four inches before it smacked me in the chest once again sending me flying. When I landed, it was on my back. My vision was blurry as a I stared at the smoke-filled sky, shaking my head to clear my vision, it was then that I heard something stomping towards me and glanced backwards. That something was a very angry golem with a gash in it’s chest. I had just enough time to roll over as it brought its foreleg down where my head had been, I quickly kicked it with my back paws sending it in the air where it landed on an unfortunate guard. I got up as fast as I could and grabbed the spear with my tail flinging it at the gryphon. I managed to hit it in the head killing it. As I padded over to my spear and the dead golem I felt a warm liquid dripping down my chest, I was bleeding from a small gash in the armour on the upper side of my chest, the blood matting my fur. As I took in my surroundings I noticed that I could hear fighting all-around me. I guess that those ponies listened to what I said and are actually fighting back, good that means less work for me. Now I just need to find the leader. Passing the last pair of gates, I walked up the stairs keeping a steady pace so I didn’t mess up my chameleon spell. I ended up I a chamber with multiple reinforced doors. The first room I walked into was a kitchen if I had to guess, the second was a long hall way that had multiple doors. Walking down the hallway I realized it was the bedrooms, walking back the way I came, I went down another hallway with a large pair of doors on the other end. Opening the doors, I realized that this was another door room, the major difference was it only had one door. I walked through them and immediately realized that I had just walked into the throne room. The room itself was round and about 20 feet in radius and 10 high. The walls were adorned with windows made of dark crystal, multiple ponies were chained to the walls. And there was my target a black unicorn with silver armor and a red cape, my eyes were drawn to the mare he was about to impale with his horn . Upon seeing me his eyes widened in anger and threw the mare to the side. Standing up he shot a spear made of shadow at my head but my shield blocked the projectile. Reacting I charged with my spear and managed to glance his armor leaving a long gash down one side. Ducking under another bolt of black magic i slashed at him with my claw but he managed to lean his head to the side. Jumping back to avoid a blow from one of his hooves I tried to stab him again but he brought up a wall of crystal between him and me. Stepping back, he eyed me curiously “who are you creature, I wish to know whose name I shall put under your corpse as an example to all those who defied me, king Sombra. Or maybe I’ll keep you as a pet to unleash upon my enemies” Looking down at Sombra I thought about that question. I was in a new world with a new body and new skills. Who was I now. “Listen and hear me Sombra tyrant of the crystals. My name is Jinx, the father of foxes, champion of Inari, and I have come to take your throne and liberate your subjects, as that is my word, my oath to you upon my soul.” with that declaration i began to give off a white shine. He actualy cringed backwards from the light like it was physically harming him Taking my chance I flung my spear at him with all five of my tails. The super powered spear throw tore through his wall like tissue paper. His eyes widened in shock and pain as the spear collided with his chest and with the sound of tearing metal sent him flying back impaled above the throne like piñata. Blood dripping from his armored corpse As I sat and stared at my handy work I turned to look at the ponies that were now freeing themselves with the help of the mare that Sombra had thrown off to the side. Just then four ponies burst through the door wearing bright blue armor and wielding short sword. At the same time, the crown that had been on sombra’s head fell of and landed on mine. All thirty ponies in the room stared and looked at me and then one by one starting with the stallion dressed in scribe robes and a cutiemark of a large inkpot and ending with the last of the guards began to bow, “all hail the emperor, all hail the king slayer, father of foxes, Champion of Inari I just stared back, aghast. Well I did say I was going to take his throne. books, muskets, and speeches oh myThe first thing I would have expected to be a problem with my rule was proving myself worthy, or maybe gaining support from the citizens as their new ruler, but no, it was none of these things. My first real problem ruling this empire was the fact that I was too damned big for the fucking throne, I solved that problem rather easily. I simply destroyed the throne despite the protest from Inkheart the royal adviser that was in the room when i killed Sombra and replaced it with a bunch of pillows. Thankfully they were all quite comfy and allowed me to lay on my stomach when addressing the ponies. Witch also happened to put me at eye level with them. Inkheart what is the current state of the empire, guards, taxes, food and water and recruitment, that kind of stuff? The dark blue earth pony looked startled for a second before looking through the giant ass book next to him. The thing was probably as around as he himself was. After what felt like an hour of waiting he finally decided to grace me with a answer," the crystal guard is currently reforming and helping get recovery operations underway. Food wise sombra focused more on enslaving the population then actually feeding them. Although the farm land is still there now that the storm that king sombra was making is gone. On the other hand, there is enough gold in the treasury to rebuild the crystal empire three times over. Laying my head down on my paws I thought over what I was just told and quite quickly came to a conclusion on what was needed," Inkheart i want you to get those farms up and running as fast as you can, while you’re at it send out a group of able bodied ponies to forage for food and scout the surrounding areas. Spread what little food we have out equally among them. Meanwhile I am going to find the library and research what i need to know to run this country. Please notify any who wish to talk to me to go there." Walking down the halls to the library I smiled and waved a tail to one of the maids as I passed. After sombras sudden dethroning I had found at that all the ponies in the room were either castle staff or political figures. Upon learning, this I had tried to get introduced to all of them as I thought it would be important to know them. After greeting two more maids and a guard I finally came upon the library entrance, the dammed thing was huge it had to have held thousands of books at the least. If not for the fact that they were all in labeled sections I probably would have had an aneurism from the thought of searching through the thing. Reaching the section marked history I began searching for the required books and such. I had just finished reading about the empires military history. The fact that these ponies hadn’t even steel yet was disturbing to say the least, hell for ranged capability’s they only had throwing spears. Ideas began forming in my head on how to improve their military almost immediately, hell even their armor sucked, it was made of crystal. The fact that I could shatter a chest piece with a single strike made the fact even worse. The first thing I was going to do after I got the food shortages under control was fix the military. I continued reading for another two hours before standing up and shaking my head blearily. I decided that I should try to make a few more spells for my arsenal. Picking up the book of spell creation that I named fox’s wit. Thinking I realized that I needed more utility based spells, as well as studying some runes for enchanting. I seemed to use my spear and natural weapons for combat more than I did my magic, I generally seemed to my magic as a support and then moved in to finish my foes. I was shaken from my reading by the sound of someone clearing their throat looking up I saw a dark orange pony mare with a bright blue armor covering most of her body she had a broad sword strapped to her side. What really drew my attention however was her wings. She was a Pegasus, the first one I had seen since I’d been here. “Emperor, the outward sections of the crystal empire have been scouted for threats and food, while no threats were found we did find a small forest with snow fruit and crystal berries, also the farms were ready for harvest it was simply a matter of finding the farmers in the mines. We also finished 90 percent of the repairs that needed to be done and have already started recruiting more guards. However, the captain wished to speak with you.” Standing I thanked the guard and followed her out of the library. Unlike most the barracks they were situated in the castle itself, as a matter afact it was only three halls down from the throne room. Walking past a group of guards I spotted the captain. He was a large Pegasus pony with a aquamarine coat and gray mane, his cutie mark was a shield with a clover on it. He was yelling at group of ponies standing in a row about proper maintenance of a sword. It was actually kind of funny since they all looked like they were about to shit themselves. After three minutes of me trying not to snicker he finally noticed that I was standing behind him. “Oh, emperor you’re here. Good I needed to talk to you, our military strength is horrendous we need to start drafts and other such things as well as getting the royal blacksmith to make more armor and weapons. “No, I will not start a draft as the civilians are already strained enough as it is without forcing them from there family’s and what there actually good at, however I will be talking to the blacksmith in order to give him my plans on improving your guy’s gear and weapons because to be honest they suck. Turning around I marched out the door and toward where I heard clanging, I hoped like hell that I was actually going towards the blacksmith and not some sort of death trap. After a three minuet walk I finally found the blacksmith while the room itself was huge I noticed it seemed empty. Looking around I finally spotted the blacksmith an absolutely huge black mare with a hammer cutie mark. She was hammering a sword into shape next to a glowing forge, it’s heat reaching me from all the way at the entrance. Clearing my throat, I managed to catch her attention. “Miss anvil I needed to speak to you about the improvement of the armor and weapon of the guard while they may be good by pony standards they suck by mine, I have with me the directions on making not only a better metal but the improvement I wish to be made to the armor itself.” Handing her the plans and diagrams that she needed I went over the document in my head. I had included direction on how to make both regular steel and Damascus steel, I also gave her the direction for the armor similar to mine. A full body scale/plate mail. There were also the schematics for both muskets and black powder. Leaving the dumbstruck mare with her papers I started to the throne room. Now that things had calmed down I had time to think. Why was I here? What was I thinking, why was I not freaking out more? I mean I had my body change from that of a human to a mythical fox spirit. Did Inari realy just send me here because she was bored and this world was stagnant, actually, now that I think of it was I supposed to spread her influence. I mean I said that I was her champion and she hasn’t corrected me about it. Maybe I should start using her name in vain to try and get the ponies to worship her. I was shaken out of my musings by the sight of the throne room doors and a worried Inkheart. The poor stallion looked like he had just run from a dragon. You could see the beads of sweat rolling off his head and down his muzzle. As he rushed past me he simply handed me a piece of paper, it was a schedule apparently, I had a speech to deliver in exactly ten minutes. Sitting down on my makeshift pillow throne I went over what I needed to say. Something motivational to get them to trust me. Although I’m already their leader so I assume they like me but I might have to say some things to ease their fears. As well as state some rules and verdicts that I noticed weren’t in there lawbooks. After about three more minuets I walked to the large ornate double doors that marked the entrance to the balcony. As I stepped into the chilly air of the outside I could hear the murmurs of thousands of ponies below me. Looking down at the sea of rainbow colored eqines I suddenly felt quite nervous. One slip of the toung and the whole empire could turn on me. Using one of the new spells I made I amplified my voice. I had made the spell just for these very occasions, I had named it the voice of Inari. Clearing my voice to silence the crowd. I managed to get everyone’s attention even the children. “people of the crystal empire, I your new emperor have come today to make a few statements to ease your fears. The first matter I wish to address it my intentions with the crystal empire, they are actually quite simple. I wish to take your empire and you with it into a new age of strength and prosperity. But take heed this will not be an easy task. It will take patience and vigilance, And I cannot do it alone I will need the help of all of you. While I am addressing you, I wish to make known a few new laws that I will be putting into place. One, there will be no intolerance to any species or person while in this empire, two all citizens of the crystal empire will be required to learn basic survival and self-defense skills, and three so long as I am emperor we as a people will not tolerate slavery or subjugation of any species. I thank you for your time, for the crystal empire. As I walked from the balcony I could hear the cheers of the crystal ponies but I could also hear something else a low humming noise, that’s when I felt it. The burst of power came from the center of the citadel and washed over the city bathing everything in a sparkling sheen. And I watched in amazement as a blue dome covered the empire washing away the cold and snow, and left a beautiful spring Author's Note the armour looks similar to this but for a fox/pony form. and the back and chest are plates closest thing i could find to my oc . couldn't find one of my spear The quoting of david.s.pumpkinI sighed to myself as I stared at the ceiling of the library its mural of the moon and stars was beautiful. That was something I had to give these ponies while their military had sucked they were excellent craftsmen and workers able to make incredible works of art. Looking down at the wineglass I held in one of my tails I had to admit they made great fucking wine to. It had been a week since I had taken over the crystal empire and I had improved their military and economy drastically. The blacksmith Hard anvil had been a miracle worker, in three days she had created armor for the entire guard that was exactly like mine and had made twenty experimental muskets. The muskets were where things had gotten difficult. Although it had led me to the discovery of something wonderful. In the pony food chain earth ponys controlled the ground, pegasi the weather and unicorns were the masters of magic. Crystal ponies however did not fall under any of these. They were the masters of enchantments. The crystals that made up the empire were perfect for holding magic, with this knowledge anvil had found a substitute for black powder and reinforced the barrel with almost a dozen different enchantments allowing for better aim and power and I had found a new box to think out of. I myself had improved tremendously over the week that I had been ruling I had made hundreds of new spells and could do basic sealing which I had found was kind of like enchanting but more versatile and less time consuming. My armor was now reinforced by both seals and enchantments thanks to miss anvil and my skills with my spear could best be called adept. I had also found that the empire was stuck in a time loop/dimension thingy and according to my research it was supposed to end today which was what led to me sitting in the middle of the library floor inside of a book fort. Turning to look at the time I realized that it was time for afternoon court my least favorite time of the day. Walking down the hall I glanced out the window and to the city below. The streets were bustling with hundreds of ponies looking closer towards the bottom of the castle I watched as the ponies built the first building that would be built on my command. It was a temple to Inari, it had been rather easy to get the ponies to worship her. Inkheart had seen me carve a shrine to her in my boredom and had asked about it. Upon learning that I had god/goddess he had asked about her, not four hours later it had spread to the rest of the populace. Then they learned about said god’s connection to foxes and all hell broke loose. Apparently, the crystal empire had already revered foxes as that was how they had figured out what was edible on the ice plains and had followed their example of using the snow as shelter. I had used this to my advantage by changing the empires symbol to that of fox which was shown as it was on the throne room doors as I walked through them. Sitting down on my newly built throne I waved to the guards to let in the first petitioner. While court was not my favorite time of day it was certainly interesting. The nobles had immediately tried to seize as much power for their respective family’s as they could. They had left said courtroom with less. The first pony to walk in was a reddish black stallion with a chest piece cutiemark. The stallion walked forward before bowing. “Your majesty I am quickwit I’m a tactician for the guard I’ve come before you today to ask for funds in order build a wall around the crystal empire. While the barrier around the empire has proven to help it has been bypassed too many times to be relied on anymore.” Looking down at the pony I realized with a frown that he was right. “You may be on to something, yes you shall receive both the funds and the workers you need to build your wall. And while your building I would like you to mount defenses upon the walls. Talk with the castle blacksmith about something called punt guns and that I ordered her to make some for the gate.” Quickwit looked confused but nodded his head and left, I was about to call for the next pony but with a large flash the castle shook and I suddenly felt a wave of magic sweep over me. Jumping off the throne I rushed towards the window. Looking across the city I searched for anything that wasn’t there before. It didn’t take me very long to find said thing, it was a mountain there wasn’t supposed to be a mountain just white. The crystal empire was no longer stuck inside the pocket dimension timeloop thing that Sombra put it in. It took almost three hours to get all the ponies to calm down, after explaining what had happened to the local populace. I had been walking back to the throne room when Inkheart decided to talk. “Your majesty”? “Inkheart what did I tell you about titles while in private. Just call me Jinx when were alone.” My whiskers twitched, I was really starting to find this title bullshit annoying. “Sorry, Jinx, anyways I kind of well, who are you? I mean I know your name and species and that you’re now the ruler of this kingdom. What I want to know is why are you here what’s your past like, who are you as a person.” Huh that’s not what I had expected him to ask. But what should I tell him, no that wasn’t the right question. I know what I’m going to tell him. What I should be worried about is how he’s going to react. “well ink, I guess I should start off by saying I’m not from this dimension, I was originally born on a planet named earth, in a country called America. I had a large family and we were quite poor. Of course, my childhood sucked because of my autism. I didn’t quite feel emotions the same way as others. Made it hard to make friends. Someone could murder someone else in front of me with a spoon, and while all the other kids would be screaming I would simply wonder why a spoon as it’s an incredibly inefficient murder weapon. I eventually went to college actually got a degree in both history and biology after that I decided that I would open a herbal remedy shop in japan. Named it the vixen’s brew and ran it for the next eight years before a Japanese god decided to punt me across dimensions for shits and giggles.” Looking back at ink I almost busted my gut laughing then and there but managed to keep it to myself. Inkheart was staring at me like I had just proclaimed that I was an alien from another world coming to take over, oh wait I was. “Any questions” Author's Note this is what the flag of the crystal empire looks like this is a punt gun of rubix cubes and pretty pink ponysJinx stared down at the object he held in one of his tails with disdain. With a frown he began to work on the contraption once again, its myriad of colors mesmerizing to the watchful eye of all in attendance of the scene. With a blur the colors of said object began to twist and change in his grasp until it began to slow revealing that all the colors were, still mixed. “fuck”, with a yell Jinx chucked the rubix cube across the room and watched it shatter against the wall of the throne room. Sighing he lifted his head and glanced around to make sure that no one had seen his eyes locked with the guard that was guarding the door. “Tell anyone what you just saw, and I’ll turn you into a rabbit.” the guard nervously nodded and turned back to the door. The new armor that had been made for the guards was a success it could withstand the force of his strikes with only mild scratches and due to enchantments, it was also resistant to magical and elemental attacks. It wouldn’t take a sustained hit from dragon fire, but it could take brief hits before it melted. You could be standing in the middle of a blizzard and only feel a small chill. The magic from the blows was fed directly into a shield enchantment that could block about ten consecutive shots from a musket before it overloaded. Speaking of muskets, they had been integrated into the military in unique ways. There were some that had integrated them into the designs of swords and spears via enchantments others used the traditional design but reinforced with steel and bayonets. Among these designs came different forms of ammunition. It was discovered that when enchanted crystal musket balls could hold an elemental charge. They could also hold spells such as paralysis. Then someone figured out that the barrels themselves could be enchanted. Allowing for spells that were nonlethal to be fired out of the barrels. Jinx looked around the throne room with a lazy eye he had been here for over an hour and so far, not a single being had come into the throne room else then the occasional guard and a mare that had been charged with arson. Glancing at the door as it opened he grabbed the swath of papers that were chucked at him by his adviser as he dashed past them. Looking up he signaled one of the maids to get him some lunch, preferably something with some meat such as a sandwich or an omelet. Jinx began reading through the papers. It was mostly request and such. Hmm let’s see a request to open a new schooling program that allows for more diverse classes, accepted. What else, a request to… he was shaken out of his reading by the maid that had brought him his lunch. It was a chicken sandwich with a cup of tea. Thanking her with a smile on his muzzle he began to take a bite out of his sandwich when the window shattered inwards. A few moments before with a certain pink alicorn It had been a shock when Cadance had found out that the barrier around the crystal empire had been activated. Looking from her vantage point she spotted a window leading into the throne room. Then she noticed a pair of guards leading a mare out of the castle in chains, damn the king sending such a young mare away to have Celestia knows what done to her. I must stop him. Diving for the window she prepared a spell to stun Sombra her horn glowing. As her hooves hit the glass she noticed that the figure sitting in the throne was not Sombra in fact it wasn’t even a pony. Not that it mattered, that mare combined with the fact that it was eating meat must mean he was evil. That guard is obviously scared to be in its presence. Firing her spell, she hit the giant fox in the abdomen and sent it flying back through the throne a shimmer appearing where her spell had hit, the wall behind the throne collapsed upon the fox burying him under the rubble of both the wall and the throne. Looking around at her surroundings she saw the guards were looking at her in shock. “Fear not my ponies I have come to rescue you from this beast and take the throne as the rightful heir of the crystal empire appointed to me by the celestial si-.” She was cut off from her speech by a long fluffy tail smacking her across the room with a resounding smack. The fox that she had hit pulling himself from the rubble with a snarl he reeled back another tail. “That was for my sandwich you bitch.” With another resounding smack the fox hit her again this time sending her through the same window she had come through in the first place,” and that was for the throne.” Cadance managed to catch herself before she smashed into the street. She threw herself to the side just before a spear hit directly where her head would have been. Leaping back to avoid the spear slicing for her chest she fired a bolt of magic only for the fox to knock it to the side with his spear sending it careening into a wall. Cadance began firing volleys of small magical bolts at the fox, but everyone was sent careening in different directions even back at herself by his spear. She managed to dodge the second swipe from the spear but stumbled over a patch of rubble as she dodged a claw strike. Feeling a stinging pain across her cheek she lifted a hoof up to it and came back with blood. Back with a very handsome fox Jinx watched as the pink alicorn brought a hoof up to her face in shock realizing that his prey was stunned he moved in to try and impale her with his spear. She managed to get out of the way with only a nick in her regalia. She quickly flared her horn, but he smacked her with one of his tails before she managed to discharge her spell. He had been avoiding using his own magic so that he could use it as a trump card, but he had found that he didn’t need it. Bringing down his spear point first at her head he was surprised that his spear had hit marble instead of flesh. Looking up he realized what had happened. She teleported out of the way and was charging for a spell. He prepared to bring up his shield spell but was interrupted by a loud explosion, cadance looked shocked as a large hole appeared in one of her legs before she disappeared in a flash of pink light. Turning to look he saw the captain with his sword leveled where the pink menace had been, the barrel in the center of the blade smoking slightly. “Thanks” Jinx looked at the destroyed throne with annoyance he had just had the dammed thing made to fit his form. Beside that several of his subjects had been hurt by the errant spells that the pink alicorn had fired at him. They ended up with severe magic burns and several broken bones. The one guard that had been hit had been sent flying but managed to escape with only bruises. Really it had been the buildings themselves that had taken the most damages craters and scorch marks covered almost every building in the square. He was slightly thankful that the temple had been in front of the school instead of behind it. Looking up at the window of the throne room Jinx decided that he was going to remove all the windows in the throne room. Having big glass windows was not secure when the things trying to kill you could fly. At the very least he wanted the damn things reinforced with enchantments and seals. It had taken a couple of hours, but he managed to calm down the guard and civilians, though there were some good thing about the fight. Apparently, a good number of civilians saw the fight between him and a type of pony that many of them had once worshiped as gods. The fight had only cemented the worship of Inari even more than it already was. Apparently if he the champion of a god could defeat one of the beings they saw as a goddess then that must mean that his god was stronger and better than the alicorns. Jinx took one last longing glance at his destroyed throne before leaving to visit he stone mason with a request for a new throne. Maybe he should also visit the blacksmith to have the thing reinforced with steel just in case. But for now, he’ll just have to use the pillows again. Behind the fox in the throne room were two guards that were throwing startled glances at the wall where a alicorn sized indent was implanted into the marble. Slowly one of the guards a Pegasus mare looked to her partner. “Remind me to never get between the emperor and his lunch. In a land not so far away. Celestia walked towards the throne room with a worried expression adorning her muzzle cadance should have reached the crystal empire by now. The plan was for cadance to get there and use a shield of positive energy to harm Sombra enough for capture. That plan was twenty hours ago and should have been done. So why hadn’t she received a letter from Cadance yet. Entering the throne room, she looked at Luna who was sitting upon her throne. She had been there dealing with the nobles for most of the night, they had probably been bothering her sister in order to get around the request that she had denied. Seeing her sister had settled her worry a little but not by much. On a normal occasion she would not have been nearly as worried, but Cadance was almost always on time and while she was an alicorn and as such extremely tough. She was still able to be hurt with enough force or magical power Turning to talk with her sister she was interrupted by a flash of pink. Turning to greet her niece her eyes widened when she took in her form. There was bruising across her back, slash marks along the right side of her face and there was a gaping hole in her leg that looked like it had been affected by frostbite. “Not Sombra - something else giant fox- powerful- no magic though.” That was all she managed to rasp out before she fell unconscious with blood dripping out of her mouth. Celestia quickly grabbed the unconscious alicorn and stormed towards the infirmary. Three hours later Celestia was approached by a young unicorn. “Your majesty, princess Cadance is going to be fine. However, she’s going to be bedridden for a while due to the internal bleeding and the leg. The slashes along her face will leave scars as will the leg, but they should not cause any permanent disability.” Nodding Celestia left the infirmary and went to the throne room when she got there she called for the commander to gather his best guards and bring them to the throne room. When they all got there Celestia finally began the meeting. They could tell that something was wrong as Celestia looked both extremely worried and angry. “Thank you, commander, stallions you must be wandering why you’ve been called here. So I shall get to the point exactly two hours ago princess Cadance was hospitalized while preforming a mission, her mission was to liberate the crystal empire. The crystal empire was banished from time about one thousand years ago by the tyrant king Sombra. While she did not say much before she collapsed she did say that it was not the king that had fought her. Instead it was some sort of fox. Your mission is to escort the elements of harmony and defend them while they defeat this fox.” As the guards left Celestia looked over to the horizon warily before she summoned a sheet of parchment and some ink. Dipping the quill down into the ink before moving it over to the parchment, all the while princess Luna looked over at the guard detail with a worried expression. This fox must surely be a powerful foe to have defeated Sombra and Cadance In the crystal empire a fox was about to finish the last piece of a house of cards before he sneezed knocking the whole thing down. “fuck!” Author's Note a couple of examples also in third person so you guys decide 1or3 person from now on moons, dogs and explanationsTwilight stared ahead of her at the massive expanse of snow and ice hundreds of thoughts running through her head as she walked towards the expansive wasteland in front of her. Behind her she could here the chatter of her friends and the guards that were accompanying them to there destination. Of course it was there destination that was worrying her in the first place. They were headed to the crystal empire so they could use the elements on the beast that had hurt Cadance. Traveling with the group of six were twelve guards. The guards were there to help against the ponies that the beast had brain washed into helping it, at least she assumed that they were brainwashed, after all no self respecting pony would submit themselves under a non pony. Ponies were the ruling race it was they who controlled the weather they who controlled the seasons and it was there goddesses that controlled the sun and the moon. About a hundred years after the banishment of princess Luna was when in became apparent that the ponies had taken over as the supreme race. They were everywhere they had ponies in major political position among every race except the dragons and changelings. Those that had tried to put up a fight were quelled under threats of being burned by the might of the sun. The hoofed races such as deer, zebra, caribou, and sheep were generally better off than most of the races due to there close resemblance of the ponies themselves. Races such as Minotaurs, changelings, and threstrals were often looked down upon as lesser beings if they were lucky, monsters if they weren't. That being said they were still better off than the races that ate meat. The meat eating races such as griffons, diamond dogs, and dragons got it worse than the others due to the ponies strict laws when it came to meat, while the consumption of meat wasn't illegal it was still looked down on by most of the non meat eating races such as the deer or sheep. This gave most of the races a even worse reputation among ponies making it a rare sight to find anything non equine in a position of power, Twilight almost laughed at the thought of this fox, A meat eater actually being in control of the crystal empire without some form of mind control. Of course in all of her thoughts it never donned on her that the crystal empire was banished before the banishment of Luna. With a midnight alicorn Luna stared out over the city of Canterlot with a frown, it had not taken long after her return from the moon to realize that the ponies that she ruled over had become complacent and bigoted. What Luna had not expected however was that her sister had become incompetent as well. She had first had her doubts when she sent the six mares that had wielded the elements to face a dragon without guard escort and then sent them into even more dangerous situations after that, but the last nail in the coffin was the fact that she had sent them and a dozen guards against a being that had brutalized an alicorn. Luna was not stupid she knew full well that her niece was a bigot, just as she knew that Cadance most likely started the alteration between the fox and her, however she also knew that if the fox was ruling the crystal empire with the blessing of his subjects, Celestia had basically declared war and from the looks of Cadance she had done so on a nation that didn't fear her sun. So Luna did something she had gotten quite good at since she had returned, damage control. "guard" A guard walked into the room wearing the dark purple armor of the lunar guards. Turning to him Luna handed him a scroll and told him to bring it to the lunar guard captain. The stallion nodded his head and took off running down the hall. Luna sighed as she turned back to the desk and began to write. fox of doom Jinx ducked and with a grimace blocked the sword swing that was aimed at his head, leaping back to dodge a spear he whipped his tail forward knocking one of his attackers down before bringing up his spear to block another sword swing, slashing out with a paw he caught his attacker across the chest sending him backwards. Bell ringing Jinx relaxed and picked up the guards he had been sparing with. Jinx had taken to sparing with the guards in order to improve both his combat skills and the guards so far it seemed to be going well the guards that he had been sparing with improved significantly. The castle staff had also taken to training with the guards, hell even maids had taken to carrying small daggers that could hold a single spell charge. The guard Barracks also had to be expanded due to the influx of recruits. The influx of guards was just on time to as the wall had finally been finished it was about five feet thick and around twenty feet tall it surrounded the entirety of the empire and had two gates each guarded by four punt guns all of witch used spell-shot instead of regular ammunition making them less of a reloading weapon and more of a charging weapon. The spell-shot weapons were those that had enchantments running up and down the barrels, the enchantments could be used to charge up a shot of condensed elemental magic or a bullet made of magic conducting material if the shot needed or punch or penetration. This did not mean however that they could not fire regular musket ammunition. The rest of the wall had a five person musket team and a single spell-shot punt gun every fifty meters there were ammunition caches at every two teams, this allowed for a quick ammo run while having covering fire. The wall itself had a back railing to keep wounded guard from falling off the back of the wall. The stone was reinforced with enchantments to stop it from taking serious damage though a powerful enough spell or face would still break it. With the armament of the wall came another improvement the buildings near the wall had to be reinforced with anti-fire enchantments they also had an excess food cellar in order to get food to the guards on the wall faster. Food wise the empire had began to prosper especially with the introduction of rice. Jinx had actually been ecstatic when a bag of rice had appeared in a flash of white. Jinx was shaken out of his thoughts when he heard yelling coming from down the hall walking faster he moved towards the yelling. Walking into the room witch he soon realized was one of the many storage rooms that dotted the castle, he took in the sight that was laid before him. There was a hole around five feet wide in the corner of the room. In the other corner there was a 6 foot tall bipedal dog that he quickly identified as a diamond dog, pointing at said dogs male bits was an ornate dagger glowing with intense energy being held by his personal maid. "Moonglow why is there a diamond dog in the storage room and why are you threatening to castrate him." both of them looked up in shock as they finally noticed my presence, though Moonglow did move the dagger up to the dogs stomach with an embarrassed chuckle. "Well Jinx i was getting more of the snowleaf tea that you like so much but when i opened the door and stepped in he popped out the ground and tried to grab me. He managed to corner me before i grabbed my knife and charged it while yelling, then you popped in." she rubbed the back of her head with an errant hoof before stepping back to towards the middle of the room dagger still pointed towards the dog. "Well moon i'll take care of the dog i want you to go and get captain Farsight. Tell him that there is an emergency and that if he isn't here in five minutes i'll turn him into a rabbit and throw him in the middle of the school courtyard." as Jinx waited for the captain he turned toward the dog he held with his magic. The diamond dog was a light gray slouched being that looked like a pittbull had sex with a goblin and then some how conceived a child. From what he remembered of the book he read on them, diamond dogs varied greatly in looks some tribes stood tall and resembled bipedal wolves while others looked like forms of domesticated dogs. There were even some that looked like weird slouched back abominations that reminded jinx of goblins much like the one he was currently holding . The wolf like tribe did not generally practice slavery and were a warrior class. These tribes generally took mercenary jobs protecting caravans or clearing out dangerous wildlife. They varied in size depending on the breed, color was also dependent on the breed. They are normally accepting of other races but are wary when it comes to ponies. The diamond dogs that resembled domesticated dogs were more of nomads then anything else, a pack would keep together while doing odd jobs in towns that they came across, or when towns were not available would simply forage and trade with other tribes. They are often hired as short term labor workers when passing through civilized territory. Then there was the reason that jinx was worried, the goblin like dogs like the one he was currently holding were known slavers, they rarely came above the surface and when they did it was only for two reasons, raiding, or taking slaves. The dogs themselves did a large amount of digging. Despite the fact that most were quite stupid and very rarely had a complicated thought, they still somehow had a form of leadership. They also had an almost fanatical hate for anything that wasn't one of them, they generally took the other races as slaves even there own kind. Jinx pulled the dog closer to get a better grip on it, levitating the dagger to its throat he channeled magic to his eyes and the hair on his tail tips causing them to light up with a unearthly blue glow and foxfire respectively. "Why are you here, are you here to raid or to enslave my subjects." The dog just stared at me keeping it's mouth shut, it looked like it wanted to rip Jinx's throat out. Jinx snarled before slamming the dog into the wall with a tail before rapping one around its chest and squeezing before a loud crack was heard. Jinx threw the diamond dog to the ground. " I can due this all day and there are plenty of bones for me to break, or maybe i should follow through with my maids threat, and turn you into a bitch you are without the use of magic." the diamond dog's eyes widened in fear as jinx picked up one of the carving knives from the many barrels in the room before coating it in foxfire. With a yelp the dog threw his paws over his crotch. " No, i talk swear, i scout for slaves. Need slave to dig, looking for easy target." the dog widened as Jinx's eyes narrowed and his tails began to twitch. Jinx snarled as he slammed the dog into the far wall with his fangs bared. "How many have been taken from my city and how many dogs are guarding your den." The diamond dog yelped in pain before answering. " Thirty ponies, fifty dogs guard den, more find better spot for den and raid" the dogs breath hitched in its throat as the massive fox in front of him began to produce smoke, its fur literally smoldering. Jinx turned to look at Farsight who had been watching the last bit of the interrogation with wide eyes before telling him to gather the guard. Turning his attention back to the dog jinx looked it in the eyes before turning his head away. " Sorry mutt but you broke one of the cardinal rules of my empire by committing slavery." the carving knife that had been forgotten in the excitement swung through the air before impaling the diamond dog through the jugular. Jinx turned to looked at the tunnel that the dog had dug into the store room, giving the door of the storeroom one last glance he dove down the hole. "Geronimo" being rewritten in separate storyso guys, long story short, as i was reading over my story i realized that i was moving the story just a bit fast. i also disliked like how i had made jynx almost robotic in how he had reacted to other characters. finally i couldn't help but notice that the taking over Crystal empire angle was getting a bit overused. so on that note where do you think jynx should have his empire. personally im thinking the everfree. off to ponylandWhen most humans are faced with something that is unnatural they normally try to A destroy it or B study it.
And I watched in amazement as a blue dome covered the empire washing away the cold and snow, and left a beautiful spring Author's Note the armour looks similar to this but for a fox/pony form. and the back and chest are plates closest thing i could find to my oc . couldn't find one of my spear
The quoting of david.s.pumpkinI sighed to myself as I stared at the ceiling of the library its mural of the moon and stars was beautiful. “Any questions” Author's Note this is what the flag of the crystal empire looks like this is a punt gun
of rubix cubes and pretty pink ponysJinx stared down at the object he held in one of his tails with disdain. “fuck!” Author's Note a couple of examples also in third person so you guys decide 1or3 person from now on
moons, dogs and explanationsTwilight stared ahead of her at the massive expanse of snow and ice hundreds of thoughts running through her head as she walked towards the expansive wasteland in front of her. "Geronimo"
being rewritten in separate storyso guys, long story short, as i was reading over my story i realized that i was moving the story just a bit fast. i also disliked like how i had made jynx almost robotic in how he had reacted to other characters. finally i couldn't help but notice that the taking over Crystal empire angle was getting a bit overused. so on that note where do you think jynx should have his empire. personally im thinking the everfree.
