After the purification of Nightmare Moon, the defeat of Tirek, and the reformation of the Changeling Empire, Twilight and her friends believed they would get to live the rest of their lives in peace. But a strange energy coming from the Everfree Forest has Celestia on edge. She sends her prized pupil, as well as her friends, into the Everfree to investigate, but what they find may change their lives, for better or worse. Can Twilight overcome this darkness, or will Equestria finally meet its end now that the Elements of Harmony have been destroyed?
