It was another beautiful day and filly Twilight was running home to tell her parents about how she was the only one in her entire class to get 100% on her latest test. The teacher had told the entire class that this was thee hardest test they were going to take this year so this was considered to be Twilight's biggest accomplishment even though she had gotten 100% on ALL the tests and quizzes she had taken so far.
"Hehe the only one in the whole class," filly Twilight repeated. "Although I've gotten 100% on all my test so far, oh well still amazing," Filly Twilight giggled as she skipped home. As she was walking home she noticed her friend Azure Phoenix over by the sugarcube corner with several other fillies including that bully Diamond Tiara. He had gotten an F on his test and was once again being bullied.
"Please me alone," Azure sobbed.
"Aww wants wrong baby can't you let us see your test?" laughed a filly.
"Please just give me back my test," begged Azure.
"Hey Diamond Tiara he got an F again," laughed another filly.
"Ha I knew he was too stupid to know math," laughed Diamond Tiara. She began ripping up his test and threw the pieces into his face.
"Please stop," Azure sobbed.
"Come on baby we know you have money hand it over and we'll let you go," said Diamond Tiara.
"No I don't-" But Azure's statement was cut short when a filly punched him in the left eye. Azure fell to the ground holding his eye while the fillies just pointed and laughed. Angry Twilight stomped over to save her friend.
"Hey stop that right now!" Twilight ordered. The fillies looked over and stopped laughing.
"Oh hi Twilight," said one filly.
"Yes hi to you too," growled Twilight. The other fillies flinched and took a step back. Twilight was known to be the popular type in school because of how nice and smart she was. Because of this many fillies looked up to her and respected her, one filly even fell in love the moment he laid eyes on her. She glared at Diamond Tiara who stepped back nervously,"Go on get of here before I tell your parents," hissed Twilight. The fillies yelped and ran off with Diamond Tiara following behind.
"Twilight," Azure sniffed looking up.
"Are you ok Azure?" asked Twilight.
Azure sniffled,"N-No," his left eye was black from the punch.
"Come on let's take you home," said Twilight picking up his stuff. Azure slowly got to his hooves and started walking.
"Seriously those guys need to lay off," said Twilight.
"Yeah," sniffled Azure. Twilight looked over to see a single tear rolling down Azure's cheek. Twilight decided to let Azure collect himself after the experience so the two continued to walk in silence.
"Holy Celestia Azure what in the world!?" Azure's mother screamed when she saw her son beat up.
"It was Diamond Tiara again," sniffled Azure.
"Hmph how pathetic, you should learn how to defend yourself," snorted his father.
"Um excuse me sir but that's not very nice," said Twilight.
"You would know missy, this useless whelp needs to learn that we won't be there to help him all the time," hissed his mother slapping Azure on the face.
"His mother is right, now run along and go home," hissed his father slamming the door in her face. Twilight sighed as she jumped off Azure's porch and started for her house.
"Twily there you are!" said Shining Armor greeting her back in.
"Where in the name of Equestria were you?" asked Shining.
"It's Azure again," answered Twilight.
"Being bullied again?" asked Twilight's father taking Twilight's bag.
"Yeah," answered Twilight.
"Poor kid, heard he was being abused by his parents," said Twilight's mother.
"Well come on dinner's ready," said Twilight's father.
Twilight spent the rest of her evening eating dinner, studying, and taking a bath. That night Twilight couldn't sleep as well, her mind couldn't leave Azure alone. "I wish I could do more for him," Twilight mumbled.
The next morning at school Azure hadn't shown up. His absence wasn't excused and nopony knew where he was. Azure had never missed school in his entire life so Twilight was worried. There was no way he could be sick since his parents didn't contact her teacher. Twilight had volunteered to take Azure's share of work to his house after school. Later after school that day Twilight rushed to his house worried. When she arrived at his house she knocked on the door and waited.
Azure's father had answered the door,"Oh it's you," he said.
"Um is Azure home? He wasn't a school today so I brought him his homework and things," said Twilight.
"Afraid not, that ungrateful brat ran away," spat his father.
"Ran away where and when?" asked Twilight.
"None of your business," said his father slamming the door in her face.
Twilight's ears drooped as she started for home.
"What ran away?" asked Twilight Velvet asked.
"Must've been the abuse from his parents," said Night Light reading the newspaper.
"I'm sorry to hear that Twily," said Shining Armor.
"No it's ok it's not your fault," said Twilight walking to her room.
"Are you not going to eat dinner?" asked Night Light.
"I have to study, we have another test tomorrow," answered Twilight.
"We'll bring you your dinner then," said Twilight Velvet.
"OK!" Twilight called back. She closed the door and slumped down on her bed. Was it really his parents the reason Azure ran away. But then why didn't he tell her. Maybe because he thought she was going to stop him? She didn't know but that didn't matter now, he was gone. She walked over to the window and looked up at the moon. "Azure wherever you are I'll find you," said Twilight. "I promise,"

Ok so prologue done. So just to let everyone know this is NO Undertale crossover, this story is my original storyline. Although it may be dark it could get emotional sometime in the future so I'm telling you all be prepared for what is coming.
Many Years Later
Princess Celestia looked out over Equestria from the balcony of her castle. For the past few days Equestria had been surrounded by a eerie and dense fog and although it was day out, the fog made it look like midnight. It wasn't just Celestia but her sister Luna as well as Cadence had felt a disturbing chill running around Equestria's peaceful lands. She felt like something terrible was unfolding in the middle of it all. And not only that but for the first time in forever she felt scared and unsafe as if something or somepony was watching her every movements. But today was even worse, it was so bad she had called Twilight just to talk to her.
"Your Majesty," a guard called out to her.
"Hmm yes what is it?" asked Celestia.
"Princess Twilight Sparkle is here," answered the guard.
"Let her in," said Celestia.The guard bowed and left the room only to be replace by Twilight.
"Princess Celestia I'm here," said Twilight.
"Twilight oh thank goodness you're alright," said Celestia.
"Of course I am, why did something happen?" Twilight asked.
"Well I don't know if you felt this as well but for the past few days I feel like somepony is watching me," answered Celestia.
"Well yeah I've felt it but something's not right," said Twilight. "Even though I should feel terrified I start tearing up for some reason, "
"How's that possible?" asked Celestia.
"To be honest I don't know either," answered Twilight.
Suddenly a knock was heard making Celestia flinch,"Yes who is it?" asked Celestia.
"Your Majesty mind if I come in?" asked a guard.
"Go right ahead," answered Celestia. The door opened as two guards walked in one with a piece of paper in his mouth.
"Princess we've received a report from a local resident pony from ponyville," said the second guard.
"About what?" asked Celestia.
The two guards looked at each and nodded,"Somepony's been murdered," answered the guard.
Both Celestia and Twilight's hearts sank and the entire room went silent,"W-what do you mean?" asked Celestia.
Both guards looked at each other and nodded a second time," Follow us," they said walking out. Celestia and Twilight looked at each other with worried looks and followed the two guards out.
The area around Sugarcube corner was blocked off by several police officers and guards and a small crowd had formed by the time Twilight and Celestia had arrived at the site. The crowd dispersed as Twilight and Celestia passed through to get to the front. Several Police officers were talking with guards while Discord stood watch wearing his Police uniform.
"Oh if it isn't Twilight," said Discord waving them over.
"Your majesty," said the guards and officers bowing down to the two.
"We heard the news," said Twilight.
"Ah so you have," said an officer.
"Well to be honest we have no clue who this pony is due to the condition they're in," said another cop.
Celestia and Twilight froze as a chill ran up on the back of their necks,"What do you mean?" asked Twilight nervously.
"Why don't you see for yourself," said Discord moving out of the way. Twilight and Celestia looked at each other and gulped, trembling the two walked past discord and the officers to get a glance at the victim. What they saw was truly horrifying. Celestia's eyes widened as Twilight let out a gasp. the two took a step back terrified at what they were seeing.
"What..... is... this?" asked Twilight trembling.
On the ground was what seemed to be a stallion lying in a pool of blood. His stomach was cut open and his organs was scattered all over the place. A huge cut was engraved on his left hoof and his eyes were rolled back so only thing showing was white. Blood was gushing out of his mouth and an axe was found sticking out of his forehead. Neither Twilight or Celestia could tell who this was due to the fact that his body was completely covered in blood. A small chunk of his flesh was torn off his left cheek leaving a small hole.
"Urk," gasped Celestia covering her mouth with her hoof. Twilight stumbled back and fell on her butt trembling with fear. Whoever had done this had left no sign of life in this stallion's body.
"No," said Twilight.
"Tw-Twilight," Celestia said trembling. Twilight looked up to see Celestia looking at something with a terrified expression. She looked over to see something that made the situation worse than ever. On the wall was a message written in blood,"Genocide is my Revenge,"
"What," asked Twilight. Celestia covered her eyes with her hoofs but Twilight couldn't get her eyes off the message. Her eyes was tearing up, unable to stop the thoughts and emotions, Twilight screamed and scrambled to get out of the crime site.
"Twilight wait!" Celestia called out to her. Celestia froze as she heard a sinister laughter play out in her head. "Wh-what?" Celestia slowly turned around to see a black figure smiling demonically at her. Petrified in fear Celestia trembled as the figure slowly approached her. "Wh-who are you?" asked Celestia. The figure continued to approach her but suddenly pulled out a giant knife with the blade dripping with blood. Celestia covered her face with her hoofs waiting for something to happen. When she opened her eyes the figure was gone. Celestia quickly got to her feet and ran out to join Twilight and the officers.
"Your Majesty," an officer called out.
"No I can't I'm sorry I just can't," said Celestia pushing away the cop.
"Your Majesty we need your cooperation," said the officer.
"No I'm sorry I may be princess but I have my limits too," said Celestia.
"Princess we believe that the killer is still out there, if you don't take action who knows what they might do next," said the officer.
"I understand that this is a serious situation, but you're going to have to talk to a detective about this," said Celestia spreading her wings.
"Wait princess can we at least discuss this matter with the chief?" asked the officer.
"I can't-"
"Yes we'll talk with the chief," Twilight interrupted. Celestia looked at her in shock.
"Oh thank you Princess Twilight Sparkle," said the officer.
"Of course," said Twilight. Celestia flew over to her and nudged her.
"Why did you do that?" asked Celestia.
"Princess Celestia please hear me out, this poor stallion, they were murdered by somepony without even knowing that they were going to die, whoever the killer is and what reason they may have they still committed a terrible crime, we can't just let this slide," said Twilight.
Celestia looked at her with a look of concern but Twilight looked back at her with a look of determination. She didn't even know this stallion yet she would act to avenge his poor soul. It was obviously true that whoever this killer might be they would kill without showing an ounce of mercy to their victims. Should she listen to Twilight, but if she decided to let this go the killer might continue to kill at his own free will. Celestia looked back at the message,"Genocide is my Revenge," if the message was telling the truth the culprit would continue to kill until every last pony, pegasi, and unicorn was dead.
"Celestia please," Twilight begged.
Celestia looked over to the corpse and back at Twilight, no she was right she couldn't just let this slide. Whatever reason the culprit might have to kill it wasn't right,"Alright I'll do it," said Celestia.
A smile formed on Twilight's face as she hugged her,"Thank you Princess,"
"I hope i'm doing the right thing," mumbled Celestia.
Author's Note
Chapter 1 complete. So the first corpse has been discovered. Fortunately for the ponies it's only one so far. But that means everypony is gonna have to be careful. Now that Celestia and Twilight's going to take action let's hope they can catch the killer before anymore dies
