Prelude: After Luna was freed from the grips of insanity that was Nightmare moon, Equestria was a land of peace, with the occasional hiccup but ultimately was in a state of peace. Sadly it was only for a few short years. An event took place that shattered all of equestria and set the lands of ponies against each other, which eventually dragged most of the surrounding lands and other races into the conflict, much to their dismay.

The lands persisted in spiral of death, destruction and despair for almost five centuries, with close to no change. Unknown to all factions – even to herself – the endgame rests in the hooves of the most unlikely of heroes; a young Changeling, who was born to be a queen.
