Scarlet High

(A/N I hate myself for this... it's sooooo short! only 2 and a half pages! normally I'd get 4 or 5!!!!! sorry for this guys but if I made this part any longer it'd take up part of what I plan for next chapter... I'm just jumping around from story to story, writing a chapter or two then hopping to the next so i have no idea when the next update will be)

“So, what is this initiation?” Twilight asked when she returned to the main room to find a large group of people there.

“It is very simple. Under normal circumstances, you would prove your strength, speed and other such physical attributes but we have seen enough of you at the MMA ring to know you’re more than strong enough. Next would be pain tolerance and the ability to defeat an opponent, your recent tussle with the griffons and you recovering so quickly from a bullet wound prove that.” Black Heart explained.

“Is there anything that I have to do that isn’t already proven?” Twilight asked.

“You’re already doing it. Your blood is spilling onto the floor, can you see it?” Black said, pointing to the floor where her blood dropped from it’s wound. The small stream found it’s way to a series of grooves and patterns carved into the ground.

“This is called a blood seal and will awaken everything that will make you a vampire in full. Lycan, I suggest you exit the circle quickly. This will be a great amount of pain, but if you can handle it you will come out the better.” Black explained. Twilight nodded as she traced the streams of her own blood as they created a strange glyph that resembled a pentagram.

As the glyph filled in, the blood slowly pooled in the center. Once the tiny basin that made the center was full, the glyph flashed with dark energy and Twilight felt like her entire body was being pulled apart at the seams. Tendrils of black energy snaked up her legs and arced from the glyph to her hands. They all traced her veins until they reached her heart, causing a new wave of pain that nearly drove her to her knees.

She yelled out into the air as long fangs extended from her jaws and her teeth sharpened slightly. Her eyes turned a crimson red and the pink streak in her hair turned white as her nails extended to nearly the size of claws.

More tendrils of black energy surrounded her body and she saw her clothes deteriorate, though new clothes appeared on her body instantaneously. She hadn’t realized she was floating until she touched back down and fell to one knee. She now sported a black pair of strange pants and a matching black sleeved shirt. They were light and soft as black velvet, yet tendrils of black energy coursed through them. An elegant black cloak appeared around her as well, it seemingly passed through her rental wings.

“How do you feel?” Black Heart asked.

“I f-feel... Tired.” Twilight groaned, stuttering as her new fangs poked her bottom lip.

“Do you feel an insatiable thirst?” Red Heart asked.

“No... But I feel like I just got hit by a bolt of lightning and chugged two liters of energy drink...” Twilight replied.

“Good. In time you will learn and be taught your new powers and abilities. For now you have a room set up here that will from now on be yours and you have full access to any of our resources if a valid reason is supplied.” Black Heart explained as he got to his feet.

“Is there anything I’d have to do?” Twilight asked.

“Believe it or not we help police the city at night, as do the Lycans. Though they’re more on the outskirts than us. Just keep an eye out for that sort of thing. You may be called upon at any time, though you will usually be given warning. Due to your... Intimacy with this Lycan you might as well be an ambassador of sorts if we ever have need of one. Otherwise continue your life normally.” Black heart replied.

“There are a few things that are optional, but it would help your brothers and sisters to easily recognize you out there instantly and will most definitely give you an advantage.” Luna said, Twilight having not noticed her before.

“Like what?” Vinyl asked.

“Well first of all you’ll need to learn how to retract your fangs, that part isn’t optional. But there are things like specialized wings, attire, school uniforms and the likes.” Luna replied.

“You said brothers and sisters, does that mean you guys are like one huge family?” Twilight asked.

“Exactly. The clan is even sometimes closer than blood relation, for it is always our blood that brings new siblings to us.” Black Heart said.

“I like that. Do we have to stay here though? I do have a little brother at home waiting for me.” Twilight said.

“It is your choice, but Luna will teach you your basics as you leave. She and her sister will be your masters, you their apprentices.” Black Heart said.

“I’m much more proficient with using the black magic of the Vampires as well as the better fighter, while Tia is better at speed and stealth and concealment and the likes.” Luna said as she led Twilight out of the chamber. She met up with Fluttershy for a moment, exchanged a few words, kissed and Fluttershy walked up the stairs while Luna returned to them.

“I’ll walk you home while I educate you on the basics. By the way, your little brother? It’s perfectly fine for you to tell him, just make sure he keeps it a secret.” Luna said. Twilight nodded.

“And Vinyl. I’d rather you didn’t repeat anything you saw or heard or will see or hear to your kind. What you witnessed tonight was something as sacred and ancient as the moon itself and I’d rather not see you targetted for leaking anything.” Luna said lowly.

“Don’t worry, I know how to keep a secret. My pack has our own system though, and they’ll want to know everything.” Vinyl sighed.

“Then tell them you were barred from the ritual. normally even if you were another vampire you would be, Father was very lenient today.” Luna said.

“Right.” Vinyl said.
