The world of Equestria six thousand years in the future is similar to the present in many ways. The biggest exception is that a great council of Alicorns now rules from the capital city of Harmony (once Ponyville). Relative peace and stability have been maintained over the last few millennia with only a few civil wars here and there that are quickly suppressed.

This is the Twilight Realm, ruled over by Twilight Sparkle, otherwise known as the Twilight Princess, and it will soon come crashing down.

This specifically is the story of Pearlwort, and the role she played in bringing down 6000 years of stability. She is no hero, nor is she an evil mare, just an unintentional villain who without knowing what she was doing helped forge the weapon that not even the Alicorns could stand against.

Joy and Reflection is suggested reading but not needed to understand this story.

Explaining the red tags: It was not tagged sex because despite containing lots of sexual flirting in many scenes there is no actual sex scene. Several characters, including the main character are frequent tobacco users and there is mention of one harder drug late in the story. There is a number of deaths but not much in the way of gore, most deaths happen off scene. There is one rape that happens, and it is not off scene. Anyone triggered by that please be warned of that now. There is also implications of rape in one other scene.

The story is told from a first person perspective throughout. The story can be considered Pearlwort's memoirs.

Place names are somewhat different than show names in many cases, this is intentional as a result of passage of time.
