Sonsodo.
Load Full Story*Knock, knock, knock*
I sighed, why would anybody knock on the door, I put a ‘Do Not Disturb’ on the door. I wanted to ignore them but they just kept knocking. I sighed in annoyance and stopped my work.
I walked into the kitchen from the basement and arrived at my front door shortly. I opened the door and was greeted by two Royal Guards, “Lockdown, Gate, can I help you two?” I greeted.
They nodded and held me a note, “Princess Twilight is wondering when the shipment of weapons and armor will be ready?” Lockdown, the Pegasus, questioned.
I opened the note and skimmed through it, nothing really important, just what Lockdown said, I nodded and gave them the note, “Tell her that I’m done with the weapons, I should be done with the armor in about 2-5 days if I postpone some of my other projects.” I explained.
They nodded and went away, I closed my door and was about to go back down to my basement when...
*Knock knock knock*
I groaned and opened the door expecting another guard but was met with the face of my nextdoor neighbor, Daisy, and she was carrying a basket of vegetables.
I took the basket out her hand and allowed her to come in before closing the door and putting the basket in the kitchen, “So, what brings you here Daisy?” I asked.
She took off her coat and hung it on the coat rack before answering, “I was bored and wondered if you want to have lunch?” She purposed.
I was about decline when my stomach rumbled, reminding me that I didn’t eat since this morning, So I accepted her offer, “Sure, I haven’t eaten in awhile.” I accepted.
She nods and went into the kitchen and started chopping the vegetables.
I slumped on the couch and sighed in annoyance while cupping my face in my hands, “Those request are eating away at you (no pun intended), aren’t they?” Daisy questioned.
“YES!” I shouted.
“What projects do you have?” She asked.
I was puzzled by her question juuust a little, “10 puppets for a client in Manehatten, 20 swords, shields, and armors for the Royal Guard, and a personal project, why?” I listed.
She stops cutting and sits besides me on the couch, “Well, we know that the Princesses are going to choose which training cadets are going to enlist in the Royal Guard next week.” She states, “So, you need to finish this request first.” She explains, “Which project is going to be harder for you to complete?” She asked.
I took a moment to think deeply about this, “Well, I guess the puppets would be the hardest project.” I guessed.
“Then just tell your client that you’ll have to postpone the project.” She suggested.
I sighed, “You don’t think I considered that?” I hissed, “She’s one of the most stubborn clients I’ve ever had, last time I had to postpone a project, she gave me some bullshit and didn’t pay me completely.” I explained.
She nods, “I’m sure she’ll understand, just state the reason her delivery is postponed.” She assures me.
I consider her reasoning for a second before agreeing with her, “Alright, I’ll tell her that her order is going to be postponed for about a week.” I announced.
She pats me on the shoulder and smiles, “Okay, so I’ll leave you to it then.” She says before getting up and returning to the kitchen.
I get a piece of paper and a pen from my pocket and immediately begin writing. Once I was done with the letter, I packed it up.
After packing the letter up, I got up and put on one of my trench coat, boots, gloves, and hat. After dressing up, I opened the door, “I’m going to the post office, be right back!” I exclaimed.
“Alright, I should be done when you get back.” She tells me and I run off into the chilling snowland known as Ponyville.
I make my way to the post office and at the front, I am greeted by none other than Ditzy Doo, “Hey Ditz, do you have any mail to deliver?” I asked.
She takes a look at her clipboard and shakes her head, “I’m free for a week or two.” She answered, “You got anything you want me to deliver?” She asked.
I nodded and handed her the letter, “I want you to send this letter to the address here, the pony is currently living in Manehatten.” I explained.
She takes the letter and nods, “Consider it done.” She assures.
I nodded and sad ‘goodbye’ before leaving. I returned home in about 7 minutes and true to her words, Daisy had a tray of food laid out on the table. Having been starved, all I said was ‘thank you’, and immediately dug in.
40 minutes later, all the food was gone and Daisy went home, leaving me alone to do my work. Once I was in the basement, I didn’t start on the armor, instead I started finishing my personal project.
9 hours later, I finished the project, what started out as nothing but scraps of metal, was now a 6 foot, 540 pound single-edged Zweihander with spikes protruding the sharp side and a chain at the bottom. I called this sword; Sonsodo. And I wanted to take it out for a test drive.
So, I took Sonsodo and went out my house, making sure to have my keys and locked the door. Once I was outside, I looked at the sky only to see that it was no longer morning, but night, wow, I must’ve been cooped up in my basement for a while. Oh well. I trudged my way through the snow towards the exit of town.
After exiting town, it took me a while to arrive at my destination. An opened field that I turned into my own personal training ground.
I stood in front of a tree and unsheathed Sonsodo. I placed the sword to my side and in one swing, I cut the tree in half. But it wasn’t a clean slice, instead the slice was jagged and torn. I continued to test Sonsodo out by slicing many trees in half, all of them coming out as the first one, jagged and torn. Just the results I was looking for.
The jagged and torn look was the cause of the spikes on the edged side, instead of cutting the victim clean, it tore the victim apart. But that wasn’t the only use of the spikes, they had a special feature.
Anyways, I was about to call it a night and turned around to go home only to see two figures, they were hidden in the shadows so I couldn’t make out any facial features, but the silhouette was clear enough to know that they were both stallions.
I don’t know why, but I knew that these guys were not well-intentioned. I pointed the two out, “I know you’re there, you can stop hiding like a coward!” I shouted.
They whispered to each other about something I didn’t care about, and then they stepped into the lights, and I was surprised to see who they were, they were both Lockdown and Gate.
I got over my initial shock and questioned them, “Why the hell are you here? And how long have you been there?” I asked.
Lockdown chuckled, “How long we’ve been here doesn’t concern you, what does concern you however, is what’re we here for.” He started, “And we’re here for that sword of yours.”He states, pointing at Sonsodo.
I looked at the sword then back at them, “You can’t have this.” I state firmly, “Now leave.” I demanded.
Gate shakes his head, “Either you’ll give us your sword or die.” He warned.
I shook my head, “Why do you want this sword?” I asked.
Lockdown smiled a sinister grin, “You’re a renowned blacksmith and your weapons are sought out by many mercenaries around Equastria, they’d pay anything to get one of your weapons on their hands.” He started, “And that sword will make a fortune, if we sell it, we can leave the Royal Guard!” He exclaims.
I sighed and perched the sword on my shoulder and smiled, “I’ll happily give you the sword.” I stated, “If you can kill me in battle.” I challenged.
They both smiled and summoned swords, “We’ll be happy to.” Gate agreed.
And in a flash of light, they both teleported in front of me and swung the their swords, but before they can even get within a inch of my face, I moved 2 feet away. They were astonished by my speed, especially with this sword on my back.
But they got over their surprise and both teleported in front of me and continued to swing their swords at me, but I dodged every single one with minimum effort.
Lockdown then decides to go for a downward swing, to which I dodged to the right, leaving him wide open. I take this opportunity and swing Sonsodo at his arms. Tearing his arms off and spilling blood everywhere. He was screaming so much and his arms had the same look as the trees did, jagged and torn.
But I didn’t stop there, I then swung my sword at his head, cleaving it off and killing him instantly. His head flew off with his jugular veins and throat clearly visible.
After admiring my handywork, I turned to Lockdown’s comrade, Gate, who was scared shitless. But his face straightened up and he held his sword towards me, “I’LL MAKE YOU PAY!!!” He shouts and started to blindly swing at me.
I successfully dodged all of his attacks and eventually jumped a good distance back. I then raised Sonsodo, specifically the spiked end towards Gate. I then grabbed the chain and violently pull it, and in a chain reaction (no pun intended) where the spikes shot out and impaled Gate in many places, making him a mess of blood and spikes.
He fell limp, any form of life gone from his impaled body. After killing him, I returned home and went to bed, ready to finish those armors for the Royal Guard.
Author's Note
I apologize for the lazy writing, I was rushing the end but I'll try to not let that happen again. And I dare any of you to guess who's the client who ordered the puppets, I'll give you a hint, she's the star of the next story.
