Success! A dark miracle has happened. After several years of lying in wait, the true queen of the night has finally emerged once again.

On the dusk of a humble Autumn evening, where "Nightmare Night" was just a few nights away, Princess Luna was busy with raising up the moon on her Canterlot Castle's balcony. The task was no different than any other evening and Luna found no hardship while doing it. But as the moon had reached its proper position in the sky, Luna spotted faint purple sparkle on the surface of her white ball. It was strange and unusual and it persisted the longer that Princess Luna stared. But as Luna was staring at the strange purple light, she could help but to have a familial feeling about.

But then it happened. The light had reached the receptacle of Luna's brain and it's finally enacting its purpose. The night princess then began feeling an incredible ache in her head and stumble backward in pain. "AAHHH!" she shouted as she titters on rational thought. But as she tries to make sense of this, Luna began feeling dark pulses in the recesses of her mind. Like a dark entity had finally woken up and quickly taking control before she could react. Soon, a swirling black vortex consumed Princess Luna and a new identity takes it place. Her skin became darker, her clothes were replaced with sapphire armor, and her eyes were turned into that of a predator.

Once the transformation was done, umbra queen says her first words of her return.

"MWAHAHAHAHA-HA!"

Nightmare Moon has returned.

As Nightmare Moon takes in the calm air of the evening, she looks up the precious moon that sparked her return.

"Finally! My Contingency plan has finally worked!" Nightmare Moon loudly boasted to herself. As she leans against the guard rails, she explains out loud: "I expected the possibility of my defeat and return me to my "weaker self". It's a good thing that I set up a darkness beacon on the surface of the moon where if my weaker half does lay eyes upon it, it will resurrect me to my glorious self! And now, with my return... I Will Take back Equestria That Is Rightfully Belongs To Me!"

But After she made her loud shout, Nightmare Moon soon realize that she was monologuing to herself and was wide open on the balcony as plain as day. Feeling embarrassed, she then says: "Maybe I should head inside before anypony would spot me."

And she did just that and head inside the castle. Once she was in the safe seclusion of her bedchambers, Nightmare Moon then began to search her memories.

"Now then, let's see what Equestria has been up since my last return. Hmm? It appears that the purple unicorn, "Twilight Sparkle" has been crowned princess and has risen to alicornhood. And not just that! The Crystal Empire has returned and even reformed both the Changelings and... Discord!"

Nightmare was both amazed and a little bit frightened by how fast things has progressed in the short time that she has been away. But while she was scared at first, she was not deterred. If she would somehow to get all this new power under her control, she knows that she will be unstoppable. "I just need to plan my next move carefully," she said to herself.

But while Nightmare Moon was thinking up a good plan, she suddenly heard loud cheering from her window.

"YEAAAAAAAAAH!"

Curious, she moves return back to her balcony and tries to be more discrete this time. Over by the edge of Canterlot, where an air show was being performed, Nightmare Moon spotted some pegasi flying gracefully in the air and leaving a trail of smoke in their wake. Upon on a more focused look and her searching her mind, she realizes that they were the Wonderbolts, an elite squadron that was formed after her banishment. Nightmare was intrigued and even felt amused on their performance.

It was there where she remembered about the Shadowbolts, an illusionary group that she had concocted during her first return. She initially thoughts nothing of it and it was only for the means to stop Twilight Sparkle and her friends from finding the Elements of Harmony. But now, upon seeing the Wonderbolt's performance and the fact that Equestria has grown so much in strength, Nightmare Moon started to feel like she wants an elite flying squadron of her very own.

"Hmm?"

And then suddenly, she heard a voice on the other side of her door.

"Luna! Are You There!? I'm Sensing A Bad Omen And I Want Your Thoughts On It!"

The voice was clearly Celestia and there was a subtle sign of distress in her voice. She must have sensed Nightmare Moon's dark magic and must have come to check on her sister. But while Nightmare was surprised at first, she comes to realize that she had found her first recruit.

Covered in shadow and magic, Moon hit in her room and wait for Celestia to enter. There were a few knocks on the door but neither pony would give a response. There were a few more knocks until there utter silence. Finally, instead slowly opening the door, Celestia just teleports into the room with a stern glare on her face. But before she would do anything in the room, Nightmare Moon enact her trap before it's too late.

"HA!" she yells out.

"What!"

Moving too fast for Celestia to react in time, Nightmare Moon shoots out a blast of dark magic that quickly hits her. The sun princess was ensnared and was bound by magical chains. Celestia struggles and tries to get. But no matter what she did, she couldn't escape. All she could do was stare at the pony who captured her.

"Luna! What Is The Meaning of This!?" she yelled.

However, Nightmare Moon just laughed. "Hahaha! Your weak-willed sister is gone! There is only me now!"

Celestia was confused at first. But once she got a look at her sister's new appearance, she quickly realizes what has happened. "Nightmare Moon! How!? I thought the Elements of Harmony had expelled you from Luna's psyche."

"They did... mostly. Fortunately, a small part of me survived and finally restored once I look up at a beacon that I left on the moon. And now, since I'm here, I think I'll finally claim my kingdom."

Celestia, not scared by Nightmare Moons's boast, laughs. "Hmhmhm..."

"And what's so funny?" Nightmare asked, intrigued by Celestia laughter.

Once she done laughing, Celestia explains: "Well, no doubt you would have gotten far in your first return. Maybe you could have conquered us back then, but Equestria changed greatly since then."

"Yes, I'm aware of that" Moon calmly replied.

"So, what are you gonna do?"

After a short pause to leave Celestia in suspense, Nightmare Moon smile and tells her: "Simple. You are going to help me."

Shocked and surprised, Celestia yelled out in disgust: "What! What makes you think I'm gonna help you?"

However, Nightmare Moon didn't respond right away. She just chuckled to herself as she walks in front of Celestia. Once she was facing Celestia's angry gaze, Nightmare Moon raised her hoof and closed her eyes. She concentrated and focus all of her dark magic into the center of her hoof. While Nightmare was preoccupied in preparing her spell, Celestia couldn't just wait and let her finish. She focuses her own magic into her horn and tries to make a magical blast strong enough to free herself from her constraints. It was a race to see who can form their spell first. But while Celestia was fast enough to break her restraints, Nightmare Moon was quick enough to perform her curse.

She slammed her hoof on Celestia's chest, catching her by surprise and taking all the air from her lungs. However, it didn't hurt too much. But once Nightmare Moon lifts her hoof, a strange purple goop was left behind and stuck to her skin.

"What is this?" Celestia asked.

But all Nightmare answered was: "You'll see."

Soon, Celestia felt a tingling on her chest. When she looks down, she notices the purple goop was slowly expanding and eating away at her clothes. And as the goo was spreading across her body, Celestia began to feel her body was becoming increasingly sensitive. "Eh!" Celestia moaned, trying to make sense of it. She tried to remove the goop physically and wipe it off with her hooves. However, as soon as she touches it, the goop just attach itself onto her hooves and spread itself from there. Soon, her entire chest area and hooves were covered in the stuff and the sensitivity was getting too much for Celestia to bear.

"What Is This Goop!" Celestia demanded.

"Mwahaha!" Nightmare Moon laughed. "That is, what I'm going to call, your new Shadowbolt suit."

"Shadowbolt?" Celestia muttered.

"Yes. It's a self-forming suit that is made from my dark magic. It will spread across your body, forming a perfect latex suit that will help make you obey my every command."

As she was saying all of this, Celestia began to feel herself getting heated. It was like the uniform was actually increasing her libido and sexual drive and making her have a strong urge for pleasure. But even when the goop enwrapped most of her upper body now and the Shadowbolt pattern was beginning to form, Celestia remained strong however and try to make her mind resilient to the end.

"So... is this your plan?" Celestia muttered. "Making me feel... a strong urge for sex... will make me into your loyal slave."

Feeling that her plan had already succeeded, Nightmare Moon moves in a little closer and playfully asks: "Oh? Don't you want my darkness's sweet embrace? Don't you want to feel the pleasure that only I can give?"

And then, in a moment to throw Celestia off her guard, Nightmare Moon pulled her in into a tight embrace. Celestia was surprised by the sudden hug and feel that her body was quickly accepting of it. "See?" Moon asked her. "Doesn't this feel nice." And despite how much she wants to deny it, Celestia could help but feel happy and aroused with the embrace. The shared warmth between the two ponies makes her even hotter and the water of pleasure filled up even quicker in the princess's mind.

"Here. Let me help spread the "Shadow-Goop" across your delicious body."

And like that, Nightmare Moon began rubbing the goop across the unexposed parts of Celestia body. The soft strokes were driving waves of ecstasy across Celestia body and making her accept the suit more and more. Celestia moans began to get more frequent as she feels herself slipping away into the darkness.

And then, in moments that she didn't expect, Celestia heard herself say: "Yes... This feels... really good!"

"Good you say!" Nightmare Moon replied, amused that Celestia had fallen this quickly. However, she grins and then adds: "But Celestia, this is only the beginning. Let me show you far this can really go."

Nightmare Noon then kneels down and pushing the goo towards the lower parts of Celestia's body. The goo covers her cutie mark, which could metaphorically mean that Nightmare has already eclipsed the sun in darkness. As her Shadowbolt uniform forms around her legs, Celestia began to feel a tingling feeling around her crotch area. Sure enough, the goo was also moving in towards her vagina (which was already dripping wet) and sparks a whole away of sensations once it touches it.

"Oh-Hhhh!"

Moon grinned when she heard Celestia's reactions. This causes her next all the more pleasing for here. She then began rubbing the goo into Celestia sacred vagina and tries to squeeze as much in as she can. The slick dark-purple latex looks sexy on the sun princess and looks also tempting to ravish her. Even Nightmare Moon was having difficulty to hold herself back from her.

"So, how do you feel, my glorious Shadowbolt?" Nightmare Moon, seeing how far the transformation has gone.

Celestia couldn't think straight. There was a small nugget in her mind that wanted to resist and fight back. However, that was only drowned out by the blissful pleasure that her Shadowbolt suit was giving her and an unyielding urge to follow Nightmare Moon's every command. Eventually, Celestia berries that resistance to the depths of her mind and gave her honest answer.

"Yes, my queen. I feel good in my Shadowbolt uniform!"

"Good!" Nightmare replied. "But... I feel like there's still one thing missing. Hmm... What is it? Oh! I know!"

Moon then move in closer towards Celestia. Celestia's mind was still pretty much in pieces and was putting itself back together. So it took her a few seconds to realize that Moon was giving her a long-lasting kiss on the lips. There wasn't any tongue play and going into each other's mouths, but it was a long and passionate kiss that Celestia misconstrued as being intimate. And as she was melting away in the kiss, the goo began encasing Celestia's head and forming her mask. It still shows off her long rainbow mane, but almost everything else was taken from Celestia's facial identity. Once Nightmare Moon was done with the kiss, Celestia was now in the spitting image on what she wants her Shadowbolt to be.

"Now, my loyal servant, who are you?"

"I am Celestia and I am the leader of your new Shadowbolt squad, my queen."

"Good. Do you know what I'm gonna make you do?"

"You will send me to find more Shadowbolt recruit and show them the glory of your beauty."

"Excellent!" Feeling overjoyed with her accomplishment, Nightmare Moon then loudly proclaims: "And Soon, The Rest of Equestria Will Know the Fury of Nightmare Moon and her Shadowbolts!"

And upon hearing her mistresses proud proclamation, Celestia began to jizz inside her glorious Shadowbolt Suit.
