I had just gotten back from Equestria, exhausted, sweaty, and already missing my new friends. I took off my adventurer's ensemble, what I normally wear on a job for my college's museum. Ah. I see it is that time now. Allow me then, to introduce myself. My name is Chase Vander Dussen, archaeology major and adventurer.

"So, where were you?" my dad asks me, curiously.

"Ah." I say, waving a hand down. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

"Try me." my dad says, challenging me to put my storytelling skills to the test.

"Like I said. You'd never believe me if I told you." I told him again, this time taking my gloves and jacket off.

"Actually," my mom says, cutting in. "I'd like to hear about your adventures too."

Inwardly I groaned, but I decided to indulge my parents, and recount to them, my time in Equestria. I made my decision and said:

"Very well. I will recount my time in a new world. One far from here. On one condition."

"Name it."

"I'll recount my story to you, on the condition that I not be interrupted throughout my story." I told them.

They both nodded in a collective approval. "Sounds reasonable enough."

I nodded, and grabbed a glass of water, something I normally never do.

"It all started when..."

Nepal, September 30, 2018 10:04:30 PM

I was climbing through Mount Everest, which I had trained for months upon months for. I brandished an oxygen mask and a tank upon my back, as well as a pair of goggles upon my face. I trekked my way alone through the harsh and unforgiving snowstorm.

"Why were you in Nepal, and what does this have to do with you disappearing?" Dad asks, holding a letter with the Royal seal.

"Hold your horses. I'm getting to that!" I said, recounting my adventure.

"H-holy sh-sh-shit. It's f-f-freezing!" I say, shielding my goggles from the snowstorm.

"I've found it! The lost entrance to the Gateway!" I say excitedly, making my way out of the storm.

I explored the vast caverns for hours upon hours. At first I found nothing, when suddenly, I laid my eyes upon the most beautiful artifact I had ever seen. It was the shape of a ghostly white alicorn, with a golden horn and sapphire eyes. I just had to take it back with me! I opened up my satchel and got out some packaging supplies and wrapped up the ghostly idol, placing in my satchel.

I was about to walk away when the whole place started shaking, and boy I ran so fast! The whole place threatened my safety. Thankfully I'm still alive, otherwise, I certainly wouldn't be here. I slid down a steep ramp, presumably to my death, but a white light suddenly enveloped me, and I was gone!
