This.........This is how it happened. This is how I became hope. This is how I became Batman......
It feels like it happened yesterday.....It all started at a con, Comic Con to be exact. I had just graduated collage and turned eighteen three week's ago, pretty convenient huh? Anyway....as a reward for my hardwork, my parents decided to take me to Comic Con over in San Diego. They even said that they'd buy a prop for anyone that I wanted to dress as. Before going there, I had thought about going as the Joker or one of the Robin's. But in the end, I decided to go as the Dark Knight himself.
That's right! The world's greatest detective, Batman! Though, I didn't know which one I should go as....I mean there are thousands of different Batmen. Like the one from the Arkham game series, the animated series/Beyond, New 52, the 70's version, and many more. So in the end, I decided to just mix up the batman's that I liked. The ones before beyond....I mixed the batmen from the DCAU, the Arkham games, the Telltale Series, and the Dark Knight trilogy.
In the end, it looked amazing! I kept some aspect's, like black pant part that goes underneath his utility belt and the gray color. But the top portion of the suit was a mix the Telltale and Dark Knight Trilogy, except the bat symbol looked more like the one from Arkham Origins. The boots were the traditional black. But they were a mix of the Dark Knight Trilogy and the DCAU version's.
As for the cape, it was a deep black. But it was long so that way, I could wrap it around myself in the dark and blend in. Like how Batman did it in the Animated Series. The gloves/gauntlets were the same as the Dark Knight Trilogy, but it had a few tech control's on the right gauntlet/glove to give it that Batman effect. The cowl, however. That was a different story.
It took me a while to get it right. Granted, I nearly didn't finish it before Comic Con. But, hey at least I finished it. The cowl was a mix between the Dark Knight Trilogy and Arkham Origins. The Cowl had the same shape as the Dark Knight Trilogy, so that you could actually move your head. The ears on top of the cowl were the same length as the Arkham Origins one, though. But that wasn't all....to finish it off and give it the complete Batman effect, I made the lens's glow white like in the DCAU and Telltale series.
Right now, I would feel very scared if I were a criminal. Then again, I'm dressed as flippen batman!!! Too bad that I didn't know any martial arts, though....because if I did, I'd be fighting criminals left and right. Now, you're probably wondering why I hadn't said anything about Batman's utility belt? Well......the thing is that I couldn't exactly come up with a good design or even make it, before we had to go to Comic Con. What sucks too is that it was the only missing piece to my costume.....
Nah well, I'll probably find a replica of one that I like at Comic Con. Who knows? Plus, what's the worst thing that can happen?

As soon as I walked in with my parents, I saw thousands of booths. Heck, I even saw people dressed as different character's! Like one guy was dressed as the ninth Doctor or another dressed as the....Joker? Who I saw, both shocked me and surprised me. The guy dressed up as the Joker was a long time bully to me, Joseph Konners. The reason that surprised me was because that he was more into the Joker from the t.v show, Gotham.
But his Joker, it was a mix of Joker's. It looks like it was a mix of the DCAU, Arkham Asylum, and the Killing Joke Jokers. It looked really creepy and a bit too realistic. Except, he didn't have the flower....as I was walking around, I spotted two booth's that peeked my interest. One was operated by a Ra's Al Ghoul look a like, kinda guy. While the other was a guy dressed as the Merchant from Resident Evil 4. I looked between the two, before seeing exactly what I needed at the Merchant's booth.
As I was walking towards the Merchant's booth, I passed Joseph. When we passed each other, he looked directly into my white lenses. As he did so, he smiled a all too realistic, sadistic, and creepy Joker smile.
He even said in Mark Hamill's iconic Joker Voice, "Good luck, BatFake. You'll need it...." After saying that, he started laughing just like Mark Hamill's Joker.
As he did this, my parents looked on in confusion and bewilderment. While I thought to myself, 'What is he up to this time...?'
After that little encounter, we reached the Merchant's booth. Though....out of the corner of my eye, I could of sworn that the Ra's Al Ghoul look a like's face was one filled with rage. But I ignored him and set my eye's on the one thing that I still needed to complete my Batman costume, Batman's utility belt. It was a mix of the DCAU and Arkham Origins, it looked very realistic. The Merchant looked at me with a very huge grin.
"Ahhh....a Batman! I haven't seen a single Batman cosplayer come up to my booth, especially a realistic one as yourself..." The Merchant said, looking me up and down.
He then asked as he copped his hands on the booth's table, "So...how may I help you, young man? We can't exactly stand here and do nothing, now can we..."
I then said with a lot of confidence, "Uh yeah, there actually is something that I would like. I would like that-" I point at the utility belt "-replica of Batman's utility belt."
The merchant nodded very approvingly as he said, "Ah, Batman's utility belt. A very good choice, my friend. I crafted it out of real leather and light metal to add a wonderful and realistic effect. Infact....." -He grabbed the utility belt and set it out on the booth's table infront of me and my parents- "This utility belt has a lot of the Dark Knight's gadgets. Such as the grapple gun, explosive gel, line launcher, Cryptographic Sequencer, and even the Disruptor. Oh and also..." -he opened up one of the side cases on the belt and inside were some realistic smoke pellets- "Side compartments filled with batarangs, smoke pellets, and also tear gas pellets for frontal assault situations. As Lucius Fox would say, 'Perfect for stealth and will make you a force to be reckoned with...' So what'd you say?"
"I'll take it, but how much is it?" I asked, unsure of the price.
The Merchant beamed once again as he said, "ohh....your good, asking what the price is before I say it. Well, the price is one hundred dollars."
Just as I was about to get my wallet, my Dad pushed it back into my hand as he grabbed out his from his pocket.
He then said as he handed the Merchant one hundred dollars, "I've got this, son."
The Merchant took the money and handed me the belt, I eagerly put it on as soon as I took it.
The Merchant then said just before we were about to leave, "Oh and before you go....there's something you should know about that belt. If tragedy strikes then you shall take up a mantle in a far off world. Well, that's it!"
We then walked off a bit unsure of what to say about that as he said, "Enjoy the Con!"

Seven hours later....
After we left the booth, we went to a few meet and greets. At 9:38, we went and watched Batman:Year One. By 10:44, the Con was over and it was time to go back to the hotel. We passed through the lobby and out the exit. The exit lead to an ally that would lead to the parking lot.
As we were walking, my dad said. "I can't believe that you insisted on seeing that movie, Bryan."
"Sorry Dad, but you know I love Batman" I said to him.
Mom giggled a little said, "He's got you there Tim..."
"I guess your-" Before he could finish, we bumped into the last person that I would expect to run into...Joseph.
He said in a Mark Hamill Joker voice, "Whoops, sorry about that. I didn't see where I was going! But it is a good thing that I bumped into you three...." -he pulled out a small hand gun from his pants and smiled Joker's signature smile- "Cause, ya see....I don't have any money right now. So, I would like to borrow some. Can you three do that for your good old, uncle J?"
We backed up slightly scared as Joseph said, "Oh don't be scared, it's only a little money. So what'd ya say?"
My parents didn't move a muscle as Joseph said, "No? Well then, you just made my day! HAHAHAHAHA!!!"
He turned the gun at my Dad and shot him right in the head, blood exploded from his head as he fell down dead, creating a pool of blood.
Joseph smiled sadistically and said, "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Looking a little red in the face, eh Timmy? HAHAHAHA!!!!"
He then turned the gun to my Mom and shot her in the chest, she fell backwards. Next to my Dad, creating an even bigger pool of blood.
Joseph smiled even wider and laughed harder as he said, "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Why Mrs. Wayne, I had no idea that your blush was so red....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I just stood there shocked at what had happened as Joseph said, "Oh phooy...I forgot about you. The BatFake....."
Joseph stared at me in anger before pointing the gun at me as he said, "Well, end of the road Batfake! Been a blast, but it's time to die.........Say goodnight Bats.......heheheheheheheheHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!"
Just as he pressed the trigger, everything went black....

3rd P.O.V
A man that looked like a clown out of nightmares stood there looking at the two dead people that he had just killed, confused.
"Eh? Where did he go?" He said bewildered to where the young man dressed as Batman went.
"Never mind where he went..." -said a voice that sounded wise- "You did your job, now here's your reward."
The Ra's Al Ghoul look alike gave him a joker flower from Arkham Asylum.
Joseph looked at it intently, before asking. "Yes....and your sure that, this will take me to that pony place as the Joker?"
The Ra's guy then nodded as Joseph laughed and said, "Good! Now I'll bring those dumb animals what they deserve! The Clown Prince of Crime, The Jester of Genocide! It'll be glorious!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
He then put the flower where the Joker would have put it, before turning to the Ra's guy and saluting.
He then said, while saluting. "Syanara , Ghoul! It's been a blast! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
And with that, he vanished.........
