Twilight was outside a bookstore that she was waiting for to open up, she wanted to get a some new history books that would replace her old ones that she had in her castle since she wanted to have updated books, while she waited for the store to open she stood by a crowd of other people who wanted to get into the bookstore as well.
As she got to the bookstore she saw several people reading newspapers at first she paid no mind to the newspapers as she could always get one and find out about the news later she went to the history section to get more books and replacements for some old ones.
As she looked for some books she saw people reading newspapers and and talking rapidly, at first she thought that they were just gossiping excitedly but as she took another look she saw that people were shocked for some reason. She approached me and looked at them.
"What's going on?" Twilight asked in a weirded out tone, some woman sitting by a table who was looking up to her responded to her with a raised eyebrow.
"You seriously don't know? Okay, do you know about A.K. Yearling? The author of Daring Do?" The person asked, Twilight wondered what happened of A.K. Yearling as she nodded slowly.
"She was assassinated, well that's what people are saying. Why are you asking? It's all over the news, you would know that if you watched he news of coarse but I know you read books more than watching movies or reading stuff. The woman said. Twilight was dumbfounded.
"What do you mean assassinated?!" Twilight yelled, The person handed her the newspaper, Twilight snatched it out of her hand and read it immediately.
"A.K. Yearling was found shot and lying on a sidewalk outside a book signing, their has been no leads as of yet but many people believe that someone had either a grudge against the famed author and had planned it out for several days or it was a mugger. More details will come as the investigation unfolds." Twilight read.
Twilight dropped it and ran to Mayor Mare's office as she was the closest that she could talk to about this, she wondered if Rainbow Dash knew? AK Yearling had just released another book a few weeks ago before being killed. She knew that Rainbow Dash would be upset and if she didn't know it was going to be awkward to tell her.
She barged into Mayor Mare's office and she saw people rushing around as they were trying to get the details of what happened. She saw the mayor and ran over to her, she looked up and walked passed Twilight.
"Look Twilight I can't talk right now, I know why your here though and all that I can tell you is that we don't know who killed A.K. Yearling, we don't know the motive either, the killer was smart there were no finger prints on the gun, or footprints but we did find her lying in a pool of blood, no leads, nothing. That's all that we know for now, we are doing everything that we can to find out who killed her and what the motive was so stop freaking out." The Mayor said.
Twilight wanted to speak to her but Mayor Mare walked to a printer to print something out, Twilight sighed in exasperation as she realized that was the only information they had at that point. Twilight walked out of the town hall in disappointment where she bumped into Rainbow Dash
"I'm sorry Twilight I was off to change the help some at some storage to prepare for fall where are you going? Why are you so sweaty?" Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight was dumbfounded that Rainbow Dash didn't know.
"Did you hear about the news?! Daring Do was killed this morning! Well at least that's what the people investigating it know but they don't know about anything else!" Twilight said, Rainbow Dash was bewildered.
"Wait...what?K What the hell are you talking about?! Rainbow Dash screamed, Twilight flinched at Rainbow Dash's reaction, she was about to continue but hesitated as she didn't want to piss off her friend unintentionally but she decided to tell her the rest.
"They found her dead in her house, someone killed her but they don't know how, they not have any leads either." Twilight said carefully, Rainbow Dash left in a hurry which Twilight was expecting her to do, Twilight walked home as their was nothing else that she could do.
She knew that it was impossible just for her to be killed like that, there was no way she could have been killed so easily as she was the greatest explorer who was very skilled and could get out of anything. She knew how she was as they had been on an adventure with her but to hear this news now dumbfounded her as she had no idea how anybody would be able to take her out since almost every single criminal was in jail.
She guessed that it was possibly a villain from the series which also was impossible as all of them had been defeated in since the last issue so that left the possibility of a lone wolf or a mentally unstable person. Twilight went home, she hoped she at could speak to Rainbow Dash later if Rainbow Dash wanted to speak to her. She decided to leave her alone for now as she had just found out and was extremely upset.
Twilight read about it for a few minutes but decided to wait till tomorrow to see if more information was found out about the case, she also hoped that Rainbow Dash could speak to her as she wondered what she was thinking as well since she was a big fan.
Twilight decided to not worry about it for the rest of the day as she tried to calm herself by doing something else as she knew that they would find out in time. Celestia was knocking on a door to some mansion a woman opened the door as Celestia pleaded for help. The woman walked out into view with her hair in a pony tail.
"What do you need?" She asked.
"It's Lara Croft right? Please help us." She said Lara stared at her intently.
