Chapter 1: A Strange Feeling

Thorax wondered the streets of Ponyville, looking for the restaurant that Princess Twilight had mentioned earlier. He was invited to have lunch with her and some of her friends. It was so nice to have friends in Ponyville.

Thorax reminisced about how he had decided to go to Ponyville with Twilight and her friends to get a more broad experience about friendship. It had been a big step, and he did miss Shining Armour, Princess Cadence, and Flurryheart sometimes, but he knew he would return sometime in the future. Hopefully not too long. Besides, he was still enjoying life in Ponyville, and ponies were starting to become more accustomed to his presence in town.

"Thorax!" a voice called out as the changeling walked towards his destination. Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy sat at a table outside the restaurant. Thorax joined them, and sat down as well. After looking at the menu, Thorax knew what to order. It wasn't long until the waiter pony approached them.

"Hello. I will be your waiter today. Is there anything I can get you to drink?" the waiter asked kindly.

"I think we all just want water, right?" Twilight replied, while her friends nodded in agreement. That is what they wanted.

"And are you ready to order, or do you need some time?" the waiter pony asked.

"I think we are ready to order. I would like the salad with the special oil," Twilight replied before giving her menu. The rest of her friends also told the waiter what they would like to eat before giving the waiter their menus too. The waiter took the menus and left.

"So Thorax, what's new?" Twilight asked, knowing the changeling was enjoying his stay.

"Nothing much. Just been hanging out with all of you, meeting some new ponies, and relaxing. What about all of you?" Thorax replied. That's when the conversations got started. Every pony was enjoying themselves as Thorax chatted with them, learning about their recent activities. Fluttershy was helping some animals who's home was flooded by rain, Rainbow Dash was helping the pegasus in Cloudsdale, Applejack was bucking apples at her apple orchard as usual, and Twilight was busy with princess activities. Everything was going good.

As the group got their meals and ate, Thorax was happy with the quality time he was spending with his friends. He was having a blast. Except some other feeling was also growing in him. It was love, but a strange form of it. Like a strong urge to be with his friends in a more physical and loving way. A love fire growing in his body.

After lunch, everypony thanked each other and Thorax, hugged, then left to go continue their daily activities. Thorax on the other hoof, still felt that weird sensation in his body. That stange feeling. So, he figured that if any pony would understand and help him, it would be Twilight.

Thorax nervously waited until Twilight wasn't so busy, then knocked on her bedroom door. She was probably reading a book anyways. The door opened, revealing Twilight who was surprised by Thorax's presence.

"Thorax! Hi! Please, come on in. What did you need?" Twilight greeted letting the changeling into her bedroom. Thorax walked in, and sat on Twilight's bed next to the princess.

"I came to talk to you about something that happened earlier today. As we were having lunch, I was having this strange feeling as I was hanging out with all of you. It was like this loving, strange ball of emotions burning inside of me. Like I wanted to hang out with every pony, physically, emotionally, lovingly. Wanting to hug you all with love until I could explode! Like explode with love ... if that makes sense. What do you think Twilight?" Thorax explained. Twilight thought hard for a few seconds, then was able to come up with a solution.

"I think you are experiencing the feeling of falling in love. Or more specifically, you are experiencing love as a form of wanting to mate. Is there a special somepony you want to mate with? A certain pony you like to spend more time with to express your love?" Twilight explained to the changeling. Thorax was nervous, but he knew to be honest.

"Y-Yes. My friends. You, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, ... anypony who I am close to. But I don't want to ruin our friendships. And I also know mating come with a risk of having a baby. What do you think Twilight? I'm .... I'm so sorry," Thorax replied feeling guilty. He hung his head as Twilight thought about everything Thorax had told her. She then hugged the changeling and smiled.

"Thorax, I'm happy you came to me with this topic. Although there are always chances of the female becoming pregnant with mating, I doubt it could happen to a pony and a changeling. Besides, ponies are viviparous. We give live birth. Changelings seem to be oviparous. They lay eggs that hatch into live young after the egg comes out of the mother's body. That means our bodies are different. You told us about when you were born, and I doubt a pony could lay an egg. If you want to ... as the saying goes ... 'buck or fuck me', then I give you permission to do so if you want to. But for now, whenever you have these mating feelings, come to me if you can and we'll do it. If you can't, distract yourself that won't make you think about mating. It will be our secret. I promise," Twilight responded. She gave Thorax a hug, and he hugged back.

"Thank you Twilight. So, what do we do now?" the changeling asked, feeling unsure of what activity to do next.

"What do you want to do, Thorax?" Twilight asked in a half serious, half calm voice. Thorax thought for a munite then gave the princess a nervous look.

"May we try to ... you know ... mate? Like right now?" Thorax asked with a nervous smile. Twilight giggled then hugged the changeling back.

"Of course. Come on," Twilight replied before lifting up the covers with her magic. She then got into bed, let Thorax get on top of her, then covered them both with her bed sheet and blanket. This was going to be different.
