The Journey To Find A Killer
As Lara Croft and Twilight stayed in the mansion they researched for hours where the location of the lost seal was, they had discovered that the lost seal was located somewhere in the Crystal Empire due to all of the cryptic info that was found in a few books that Lara had on the subject.
Lara Croft and Twilight Sparkle traveled on horseback away from Croft manor as they went off to find the lost seal which was connected to Daring Do's murder, Lara told her that she only had one possible lead on where the seal was so they continued to travel there. Soon Twilight realized that they would be traveling a lot of they ever wanted to get to the location of the lost seal.
Lara Croft had told her before of where it might be, since the last place Daring ado was before she got murdered was in the Crystal Empire as she was trying to find the lost seal herself, it took a few hours to travel there but soon they got there. They traveled through town as they bought extra food for later if they get hungry again.
Lara and Twilight tried to ignore the citizens as they needed to concentrate on their mission, Twilight wondered why Lara needed a case that she was carrying as Lara didn't tell her, and if she didn't she probably wasn't going to reveal it till they got to where the location of the lost seal was.
In order to help them Lara and Twilight tried to follow a map that they had drawn while they read through books on where the lost seal could be hidden. It wasn't the most trustworthy map but it was their only hope. Soon they got to a quiet but cold spot outside of the town.
Twilight got out an extra jacket as Lara leaned back against a rock and took off her bag and looked through it. As Twilight examined the map and wrote notes on it to help them Lara took out a rifle. Twilight looked up at her as she wondered what was up.
"Twilight do you have any experience with firearms? There's lots of dangers out here, you won't make it half way unarmed, theirs wolves, bears, coyotes and other four legged beasts, you'll be dead in the first few minutes out there." Lara asked, Twilight hesitated.
"Kind of....I took a firearms course before my mission to the Crystal Empire but I'm not that great of a shot, my aiming is piss poor although I know how to load and handle one." Twilight said, Lara handed her the rifle. Twilight took it hesitantly.
"Doesn't matter how bad your aim is as long as you hit your targets you'll be fine, just don't shoot at me by accident." Lara said. Twilight nodded and loaded rifle. Lara put on a jacket and zipped it up she spoke up. Lara strapped the rifle to her back and stood up by Lara.
"I just want to let you know that it's going to get really fucking cold, you probably wouldn't be able to last out there. So put this jacket on." Lara told her as she handed her one. Twilight shrugged and put the jacket on and then put the rifle back over her shoulder.
"Let's go!" Lara said as she took out the map and started to head north away from the Crystal Empire, Lara hoped that she had the directions right, she was already guessing that they weren't going to make it back alive as it was really dangerous out there.
Before Twilight knew it the weather changed from slightly cold to freezing in mere minutes, Lara had been right and Twilight wondered how Lara could predict the weather like that. She shivered. She wondered if she should have just wimped out on the mission.
"It's fucking freezing Lara. We'll be coming back dead! How can you stand this temperature?" Twilight complained, Lara shrugged as she thought back to one of her missions while they continued to walk.
"I've hiked cold mountains before, it's nothing new to me, you'll get used to it, I got hot chocolate in my back in case you need some to warm you up, it's in a thermos so don't worry. We just have to keep moving if we're ever going to get there." Lara said. Twilight knew that she was right so she tried to keep moving. Since hey knew the hike would take a while they spoke to eachother
"What was your favorite adventure Lara? If you have a favorite of coarse but if you don't have one I understand why!" Twilight spoke, Lara shrugged as she tried to think for a few minutes.
"My favorite adventure? Discovering the Scion, my second favorite was uncovering Excalibur, I loved that mission." Lara said Twilight nodded as she was interested by that fact.
"Just wondering! That's awesome! I'll have to get one of your books about those adventures." Twilight remarked causing Lara to laugh.
"Your to funny Twilight!" Lara said, Twilight smiled, then all of a sudden Lara heard a growl she pushed Twilight to the ground as she aimed her gun in the direction of the sound, Twilight pulled out her rifle and aimed it.
"What is it!?" Twilight asked, Lara pulled out her duel pistols and scanned the area.
"Wolves! Get back Twilight!" Lara shouted. Twilight fired her rifle and the wolf sprang itself at her. Lara killed it and Twilight fired her rifle at the second wolf, it limped but it still walked towards her, Twilight shot it a second time and it fell down. Lara helped Twilight stand back up. They holstered their weapons.
"God fucking dammit I knew their was going to be wolves! Come on let's go before more come back!" Twilight surged as she picked up the pace as she walked towards the location in the map. Lara followed her as they continued on their journey.
"We have to keep moving no matter how many creatures we face, we are going to discover what killed Daring Do even if either of us gets severely hurt in the process." Twilight said as they continued to walk. Twilight realized that the walk was beginning to agitate her since that was the only thing they were doing. Lara noticed it as well.
Twilight could only see more terrain in the distance but no structures at all, it was pissing her off, as they continued to walk Twilight began to feel like they were walking in circles, Twilight swore that they had passed the same tree repeatedly in merely a few hours.
"Aw fuck this! We will never get their! We're going in circles for fucks sake, we've been walking for hours! This is retarded! By this rate we won't be there until next year!" Twilight complained. Lara turned around and spoke.
"We'll make it! I'm sure of it! That's just your perception, we shouldn't give it, it's probably only a few more steps, now come on in we can do this!" Lara said. Then all of a sudden Twilight saw a bear. It growled and Lara turned around. Twilight pushed Lara out of the way and fired her rifle at the grizzly.
"Fuck!" Twilight cursed, Lara panicked as she got our her pistol and fired it, Twilight got pummeled onto her back, Twilight saw the bear heading straight towards her so she franticly grabbed the rifle and fired it at the rifle again. Her rifle jammed so she tried to cock the rifle in order to get it unstuck.
Twilight finally got it unstuck and she fired it at the bear and killed the bear. She stood up and ran over to Lara. She helped Lara up.
"Are you okay Lara?" Twilight asked as Lara looked at the bear and she nodded as she tried to calm her breathing. Twilight helped Lara up as they looked at the direction where they were going.
"We have to keep going before more of them find us. I already know that there is going to be a lot more creatures inside than outside so come on!" Lara said. Twilight and Lara continued on their way to the location.
They kept walking but they could tell that they were getting tired so they both stopped and Lara took out her binoculars and she looked through them. When she looked through them she could see the temple in the distance. They were very close, they didn't even know that it was a temple.
They saw that it was getting dark so Twilight and Lara walked into a nearby cave and tried to sleep a warm spot. The only thing they brought was blankets so they set up makeshift beds with them and then they took their weapons off of them and laid them near where they could find them got into the blankets.
"I think if we start heading out early in the morning then we can make it to where we're going before noontime, we can head back home tomorrow once we discovered who killed Daring Do, we will then head back and tell Equestria what we have discovered." Lara said, Twilight nodded in agreement as their was so much on her mind.
They both went to sleep in the cave, soon it was morning so they both woke up and had had breakfast while Lara explained their plan.
"We can take the shortest route to the temple and be back to Ponyville in the shortest timespan possible, that's the best we can do at least." Lara explained. Twilight hoped that Lara was right.
"We better be, I'm not going to be killed today, let's find what killed Daring Do, if it's a human that did it lets take them out together." Twilight agreed.
"I'm going to take great pleasure in killing that murderer! When we find them I will have the honor of carrying it out, I want revenge for my friend who was killed." Lara said as she grew furious. Twilight agreed with the plan.
"Their all yours!" Twilight remarked, they went towards the temple as they needed to find the object connected to Daring Do they started to doubt that they object was their though but they knew that the person who killed her did.
They were making lots of progress, before they knew it they were near the temple entrance, Twilight took out her rifle and held it in a prepared stance in case she needed it and they both walked into the entrance. It was extremely creepy. The caves must have been hundreds of years old.
She worried that they would be killed in the same way Daring Do was, if the person killed her in there then that same person was probably still there, they walked down the staircase as they descended down into a chasm which was pitch black, Lara turned on a flashlight as she tried to guide Twilight while they looked through the temple.
Then all of a sudden they were ambushed, Lara and Twilight ducked for cover as they fired back at the assaulters, They didn't know where they were so they aimed in numerous directions Twilight made sure not to accidentally hit Lara so she had Lara stay behind her. Twilight fired numerous amounts of rounds into the darkness and then she tried to reload the rifle.
Lara provided Twilight cover as she fired a couple of shots in the opposite direction, she heard several bodies drop on the floor so she knew she was getting whoever they were. Twilight finished loading the rifle and fired repeatedly. Soon they were all dead but Twilight got hit in the leg by one of them so she fell down and reached for her rifle, Lara got knocked down by the shooter.
Lara ejected a clip from her handgun and then reloaded it but the attacker took it away, Lara raised her hands in defeat, Twilight took her rifle and then shot the man in the head, Twilight dropped the rifle and Twilight crawled her way over to Lara, Lara looked at a wound that Twilight got on her leg from being shot at so she dressed Twilight's wound, Lara then picked up her handgun and holstered it.
Lara helped Twilight stand and they aimed flashlights into their direction. They both took a few breaths to relax, Twilight felt like she was having a panic attack but she calmed down. They both looked over to the entrance.
"Are you okay?" Lara asked her, Twilight nodded as she calmed herself they both looked over at the entrance and they Lara helped Twilight walk over to the area, they continued to descend downward. Soon they saw a light, they realized that must be getting closer as hey both tried to pick up the pace.
And soon as they got to the last level of the temple they saw a man sitting on a throne, Lara aimed her handgun at him and Twilight aimed her rifle at him as well. They wondered who he was. Twilight was shocked that they found the killer so easily.
"Who the hell are you!? You killed Daring Do didn't you!?" Lara asked. Twilight and Lara glared at him as he started to chuckle loudly.
"Well, Lara Croft isn't it, I wasn't expecting you to come all the way to get me here! And wow you brought Twilight Sparkle with you! BHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh this is to easy. I get to kill three people this month!" The man said.
"Answer us you fucking cocksucker!" Twilight shouted as she cocked her rifle, The man laughed as she stood up and walked towards Twilight, Twilight felt threatened so she fired at his leg making him scream in pain.
"Twilight don't kill him!" Lara shouted.
"Answer me you fucking piece of shit!" Twilight shouted. The man snarled at her.
"Fine I killed her! And then I raped her corpse you slutty degenerate whore because she was a bitch to me and she was a major slut she always slept around!" He snapped at her, Twilight shot him in the head which killed him. Twilight lowered her rifle. Lara walked up to her and examined the dead man.
"You just killed the main suspect that was involve in the murder of Daring Do before we could get a reason of why he did it." Lara stated as she slapped her forehead in frustration.
"It doesn't matter! We can tell Celestia to do a face examination on they guy so she can look into his profile and all of the bad stuff he did in his life. We can take the body back to Canterlot with us! Come on let's get going!" Twilight said as they walked back home.
Twilight and Lara excavated the temple and found the lost seal which they took out of the temple and they went back home with the body of the man. When they got back they announced what they did and they got a massive applause. Celestia congratulated them on their successful mission and awarded them medals for their journey and discovery of the murderer.
They examined the mans face and they identified him as George Allen who was a violent extremist that assassinated Daring Do over the lost seal. They took photographs of him and and burnt his body to ash, Celestia ordered the temple to be looked over one more time so a short team went there and profiled the temple and take pictures of it, the team brought back the pictures and Celestia stored them away in a protected area. She then spoke to Twilight and Lara Croft.
"I want to congratulate you two for your bravery in finding this murderer, you two went through hell to get the man who murdered Daring Do. You two are shining examples of heroism in Equestria. I want to thank you both for your tremendous courage!" Celestia told them.
They both said thank you as they got medals for discovering the murderer. They were applauded as they both celebrated their victory. Lara Croft and Twilight left after a while and Lara told Twilight that she would come visit her some times and she told Twilight that she was free to visit her in her mansion as well.
They both shook hands and Lara walked back to her place. Twilight smiled and walked home as she was exhausted but satisfied that they both succeeded at the journey together.
