Scootadopt! (A MLP AU)by ShysWorldChaptersA Perfect Day...What's UP with Scootaloo? The ConfessionLet Me Help YouA Perfect Day...Rainbow Dash soared through the air, wind blowing in her face. She loved how her hair blew by like a cloud, and how amazing her soul felt whenever she did a deep dive. Concentrate. TURN! Good.. OH LOOK A RAINCLOUD! Good...haha! Rainbow Dash you dodged a bullet there! She took more dives in the air and cheered and screamed with joy. This is such a PERFECT DAY!!! She remembered how it felt when she was a filly as her parents cheered her on in joy. She sighed remembering the pleasant memories. As she was starting to get tired of her usual routine, she decided to look over her other friends in Ponyville. "Let's see," she said under breath. "Rose is watering her garden, what a surprise!" She commented with her usual sarcasm. "Okay...Octavia's buying a new violin, Lyra and Bon Bon are chatting at a bench and Scootaloo is crying-" Suddenly, the blue Pegasus realized what she was saying. "SCOOTALOO IS CRYING?!" She rushed over, making her strands of rainbow hair cover her eyes. She couldn't see and crashed. Scootaloo trotted over quickly in surprise, "Rainbow Dash are you okay?!" She asked while desperately cleaning up the shower of tears on her face. Rainbow Dash got up, trying to brush it off like it was nothing. "Oh-I-um, I saw you upset and tried to make you laugh!" the pegasus lied. "Oh I'M not upset!" Scootaloo said while sweat trickled down her face in fear. Rainbow Dash trotted over closer. "Hey, listen, you can talk to me about ANYTHING. And I'll always except you. It's okay to let out your-" "RAINBOW DASH I TOLD YOU I'M FINE!!!" Scootaloo screamed while tears of anger poured down her orange cheeks. Rainbow Dash was very taken back by her outburst, and before she could reach out her hoof to help the poor filly, Scootaloo ran away into the forest, leaving nothing but a confused and very distressed Rainbow Dash. Author's Note Also, if this story is in any way similar to another I have ZERO intentions of stealing anyone's story or plot. This is just a little story I'm writing during my free time. I came up with this story after I saw the Parents Day episode of Camp Camp ;-; (If you haven't watched it you should it's a great show) Then I got to thinking "What about Scootaloo's parents? What if there was a DadVid AU in the MLP fandom?" And thus, this story was born! So... how did I do? Leave me feedback about this so far. I'd like to see what you guys think! <3 What's UP with Scootaloo?Rainbow Dash spent the rest of the night searching for the filly. "SCOOTALOO!!! SCOOTALOO!!!!!" Her screams became louder as she became more impatient. She was fast for a little one, and with the dim light from the moon she could barely see a thing from up above. Eventually she gave up and went home. She stayed up almost all night tossing and turning, thinking about the poor little filly. Why did she run away from me like that? she thought. She never does that, especially not to me! She kept tossing and turning in frustration, trying to figure it out. That's it. Tomorrow, I'm investigating. As soon as she saw the sunlight pour through her window, she dashed out the window in desperation. She rushed over to Applejack's barn, keeping her aim near the front door. She then noticed the little filly Apple Bloom, Applejack's younger sister who was a good friend of Scootaloo's, getting prepared for her daily chores. "APPLE BLOOM!!!" she shrieked. Almost crashing again with her sudden landing. Gotta work on that. The yellow earth pony was startled by Rainbow Dash's boisterous introduction. "Ummmm...hello?" "APPLE BLOOM!" Rainbow Dash yelled throwing herself towards the filly grabbing her by the face. "What's with Scootaloo?!?!" "Huh...?" Apple Bloom questioned, not having enough time to comprehend Rainbow Dash's outburst. "What's UP with Scootaloo?" the pegasus asked with pleading rose eyes you just couldn't say no to. "Well..." Apple Bloom started with a guilty face. She promised Scootaloo she would never tell anypony and so did Sweetie Belle. And since her sister is the element of honesty, she wanted to continue in her hoof steps. But should she lie to Scootaloo by breaking her promise or lie to Rainbow Dash to keep that promise? Rainbow Dash became more serious. "I understand you being worried or upset but it's okay! The right thing to do is to tell the older pony. You can trust me! I am the element of loyalty after all." Rainbow Dash ended with her usual ego stroking. Apple Bloom gulped and decided to do the right thing and continue. "Ya see," she started. "Scootaloo's been havin' a lotta trouble with'er family lately...her parents." She hesitated again, but then continued. "She said they are always mean and don't care that she exists just because of any injury as a baby that hurt her wings." She began to hic with tears in her eyes. "Sh-She says that they never wanted to help er, and just don't care...sometimes she thinks she was better off without 'em." At this point both ponies had tears spilling down their faces. They held each other in a tight hug and then Rainbow Dash had said "Thank you," and flew away. Apple Bloom stared up at the rainbow pegasus speeding away. "What is going to happen to her?" ... Rainbow Dash had spotted Scootaloo sitting in her house with a grim look on her face. She scooted closer to the window to see what was going on. She heard a screaming voice from an unfamiliar pony. Soon Scootaloo started screaming back, and a loud crash was heard. Rainbow rushed over to the window and was horrified by what she saw. Scootaloo had bruises on her hooves that she was covering in fake makeup. She had a black eye that she was examining in a mirror. Rainbow Dash had heard her mutter "Just do what they say and you won't get hurt anymore." tears spilled down her face and she looked up to close her blinds only to see the blue mare herself standing there. "RAINBOW DASH?!?!" She screamed in horror. Oh no, she thought. What do I do now? Author's Note This chapter was kind of sad but it will get much better trust me! I just needed to get the backstory part out of the way! So, what do you think so far? Let me know! The ConfessionScootaloo's head became light. She tried as hard as she could to keep her secret, but it was too late. Rainbow Dash already knew. "Scootaloo..." Rainbow Dash started. "Please just...just tell me what's going on...please." Scootaloo's eyes were like an overflown sink about to pour out. She gulped and started to tell the truth. "You see when my parents were young they were restless and had me at a young age, they loved me very much...but... an accident happened and...I was sent to an orphanage before I was even three months old. I stayed there for awhile, until two pegasuses trotted in, wanting a flyer so ponies would be impressed of them. They over-trained me day and night, and even I broke my wings, but even then they still tried to train me, eventually, they gave up, and decided to forget I exist and make me clean up the house and make dinners and-and-if I don't...they threaten to send be back to the orphanage and if they don't do that they'll-they'll..." She wiped of the makeup to reveal a bruise. She began to sob and the rest of the ponies in that room did too. They gathered in a big hug until they all felt better. So THAT'S why Scootaloo always likes to sleep in the clubhouse, or have a sleepover somewhere else... Rainbow Dash realized. She ISN'T safe there! I gotta help her!...But I'm just a kid... (AN: The Mane Six are around sixteen or seventeen in this story) What do I do...? She looked over at the small filly. You know what? I'm gonna give her the best day of her life! Tomorrow! "Scootaloo," Rainbow Dash started. "Meet me tomorrow morning by Sugar Cube Corner at 8 am." Scootaloo had a twinge of worry in her eyes. "Alright..." she mumbled, trudging her way out of the clubhouse, having no idea what was going to come. Rainbow Dash soared outside, not caring that it was pouring outside. "Tomorrow is gonna be awesome!" she looked at the small filly once more. "I promise." TIME SKIP TO 10 THAT NIGHT PROVIDED BY THE RENAI CIRCULATION THEME (^w^ listening to it while writing this idk) Scootaloo sat up in bed, exhausted after doing all her chores. She threw her apron across the room and punched at her candle to put it out. She stared at her posters of Rainbow Dash and imagined herself flying for once. "If only," she whispered. "If only it really could be..." hope started to grow but she crushed it. "She's too young, I'll just be stuck here..' "SCOOTALOO STOP TALKING TO YOURSELF AND SLEEP OR I'LL SEND YOU TO AN INSANE ASSYLUM WHERE YOU BELONG!!" She sighed, and continued to imagine her soaring as a wonderbolt right next to her quick friend. She soon drifted off to sleep, having non stop dreams of her flying and laughing with her only real mother figure. She smiled, maybe, just maybe, it could happen. Let Me Help YouScootaloo raced over to the window. "Get out! You're gonna get me in trouble!" she yelled more quiet than usual so she would not draw attention to herself in her house. "But-" Rainbow Dash tried to start. "GO!" Scootaloo yelled slamming the blinds shut. She sat down in the middle of her room, terrified that Rainbow Dash had seen the whole ordeal. Rainbow Dash had tried to pry the window open but gave up. "Just let me help you.." she muttered under her breath, realizing that there was nothing she could do at the moment. ... The next day Rainbow Dash had gone to Sweetie Belle trying to get answers from her. "When will she be out of her house?" "During our next crusader meeting." "Could you keep her there?" "I'll try." That crusader meeting, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle had tried to stall to keep the orange filly in the clubhouse. "Err, we didn't think about what Button's special talent could be yet.." "Yeah we did. THREE TIMES." "Mistblaze?" "Done." "Honey Drizzle?" "Done." "Berry Bunch?" "Done." "Silent Meadow?" "Done." "Diamond Tiara...?" Scootaloo facehoofed. "We've done ENOUGH work today. Let's just go home-" "NO!" Apple Bloom yelled, throwing herself at the door. Scootaloo groaned. "Okay what do you guys want me to do?" Suddenly Scootaloo's eyes widened as she saw a familiar figure outside the clubhouse door. Rainbow Dash stepped in the room. "Let me help you." Author's Note This was a more funny one! Hope you guys liked it! Let me know what you think! Bye Bye!
