//-------------------------------------------------------// Ghost In The Sliming -by FourShadow- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Who Ya Gonna Call? //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note This was just something silly I thought of on the spot. I wanted to make something silly and weird for the Halloween occasion. I know its late to the party, but its done and finished. For those who don't know, I based the Steel Wolf Lodge around my experiences at a lodge over at Niagara Falls. If you haven't checked out Great Wolf Lodge, you got to go visit it if you ever go to Niagara. Its a great hotel/park. https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightsmile.png :raritywink: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/raritywink.png Hope you all had a great Halloween ya crazies! :rainbowwild: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/rainbowwild.png And remember... Bustin makes me feel good! Who Ya Gonna Call? Canterlot City The day was October 21st, the end of a Friday afternoon. Everyone in school and work were on their way home. The night of Halloween was not too far away, and everyone was excited for the festivities. Decorations were being put out for the special occasion and people were already purchasing their costumes to go trick or treating, or just dressing up for big parties. Everyone was busy, busy, busy. One of the busiest places in the the city was the Steel Wolf Lodge, a hotel and an indoor water park. It made sure to had tons of things to do for the guests: a bakery, restaurants, a video game arcade, a mini-golf course, a workout room, it had everything. People loved to stay in the Lodge whenever they had relatives visiting, or if they needed a place to stay for the night until their bus arrived. Little did anyone know tonight would be a different kind of night... Over at one of the front desks, one of the staff members was filing some papers and trying to get organized. More guests had checked out today, and he wanted to make sure he had a good count of everyone who had left. He looked up to watch as everyone was busy talking and waiting for when they would be given their call to sign the bill for them to leave, or just chatting with the other guests. But as he continued to file away, he was startled by the frightened voice of a woman who's skin was as cold as a freezer, and her eyes were as wide as can be. "Sir, I need to talk to you right now, there's... there's..." "Ma'am, what is it?" "I don't know! One minute my husband and I were taking a nap, and the next thing we know we've been seeing this... thing eating our refrigerated snacks!" The woman panicked. "And it had no legs!" The clerk scratched his chin. This seemed very strange. "Hmm... that does sound rather peculiar. I'll call one of the supers to go check it out." "Uh, excuse me!" Another guest snapped arriving to the desk. "Did she say something about it being green and having no legs?" "Yes, why?" The clerk asked, intrigued. "I was walking down the hallway to go get something from the vending machine, and the next thing I know there's this... monster eating everything from it!" "I understand." "But that's not all! Suddenly the lights in the room kept on going out every second, and I don't know why!" "The same thing happened to us too!" The clerk nodded. "Understood. Not to worry... I know who to call in a situation like this." Elsewhere... A girl with white skin and indigo hair was sitting at a desk that was cluttered with paper, applying makeup to her face while looking in a mirror. She always wanted to look her best when she worked at her job, and this one was no exception. She applied a last bit of blush and used her eyelash curler to make her eyelashes stand out. Once she finished, she blinked a few times and even gave a little wink to herself in the mirror. "Perfect!" Rarity beamed. "You can never look unlovely!" Like a school bell ringing, the telephone on her desk ringed for her attention. Carefully adjusting her hair to fluff it up to its normal curly style, she picked up the phone. "Ghostbusters, how may I help you?" Rarity asked with a fragrant voice. She listened as the voice on the other line spoke to her. "Yes, we are serious." Rarity was about to check her hair some more, but as the person on the other line spoke, her attention quickly faded away. Whoever was speaking to her was sounding extremely desperate for their help. "You have?" Rarity asked, as she pulled out a notepad and paper. "No kidding... alright, just tell me where this establishment is. Yes I have a pen and paper ready. Okay... Steel... Wolf... Lodge. Perfect! Yes, they'll be discreet, they're the absolute finest in the business. Okay, thank you." Rarity hanged up the phone and she stood up with an excited grin. With one yell echoing around the room, she shook her own hands with exhilaration. "We've got one!" Her hand slammed against a red button, and soon a bell began to ring throughout the whole building, signalling their call. Up a floor above them, several girls in their normal after school clothes were busy chatting, when suddenly the alarm went off. One of the girls, with orange skin and a fiery hairdo, jolted up from her chair when she heard the bell. "We've got a call! Come on!" The other girls by her quickly got up out of their chairs, and they rushed towards the fireman's pole that was sticking out of floor. They slid on down, and zipped to the lockers with their nameplates. Opening up the lockers, the girls quickly pulled out tan jumpsuits and were steadily putting them on, with the upmost speed. "Rarity, do you know where we have to go?" A bespectacled girl asked. "Yes I do Twilight. The address is over at the Steel Wolf Lodge, an absolute fine resort." Rarity beamed. "I wish I could go with you. I've been dying to see the place." "Maybe another time Rarity." Sunset Shimmer said, adjusting her red and yellow hair that was getting caught on the collar of her jumpsuit. "Did you call the Shadowbolt division? We're going to need more hands with this one." "I haven't done it yet. I'll be sure to notify them right away." Rarity said, as she dialed in their number on the desk. Soon coming down the pole were a few more girls. One was a pink skinned girl who squeed with excitement as she slid on down, another was a girl with rainbow colored hair, and another was a girl with yellow skin and pink hair. "Come on girls, we got to get a move on!" The rainbow sputtered. "We're moving as fast as we can Rainbow!" A hick voice yelled. "Fast? You call that fast Applejack?" Rainbow Dash smirked. "I can move faster than that." "Girls, lets focus! We can discuss this later, come on!" Sunset said, zipping up her jumpsuit. "Twilight, can you do a quick headcount?" "Sure. Lets see, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie... we're all here." While the girls were doing a quick count, another girl with a cowboy hat was putting giant metallic equipment into the back of their mode of transportation. "Sunset, all of your proton packs are in, and all of them have 100% intake of juice in them. I think you should have enough to try and catch that ghoul." "Thanks Applejack!" Sunset smiled as she buckled her suit up. "Alright girls. Lets get going!" The garage door opened up, and the girls all got into the car. The headlights flickered on, and the mass amount of sirens on the roof began to flicker on and make a noise. Then the car sped out of the garage and out onto the streets, racing down the road. The car itself was more visible and more features could be seen. On the doors there were pictures of cartoon ghosts that had No signs on them, there were tons of sirens on the top of the car, a ghost hood ornament, and tons of pipes and other gear on the top hood of the car. Elsewhere In another garage, a similar looking car pulled out onto the street only it had a much darker look. It was mostly colored in black and purple with a few yellow lightning bolts streaked on it, a pair of red sirens on the top of the car, but the one thing the car had in common was it had the exact same ghost logo like the first car. "Lets hit the road ladies!" The driver with a shade of puffed up indigo colored hair yelled. "Want me to play the tunes?" "Play it!" The music in the car was turned on, and the car began to drive. Soon enough, both of the cars met up with one another and they drove right into the parking lot of the Steel Wolf Lodge. Their lights turned off, the sirens quieted down, and the teams of both cars exited their assigned vehicles. Sunset, Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy all stepped out of the car. All of them were seen wearing tan outfits, with belts and straps attached to their outfits. And there were small black nameplate patches on their suits reading their names in bright red. The girls from the darker car stepped out, only their look was much more darker compared to their style. Their outfits were spandex tight with black and purple and gold, and pairs of goggles were attached to their foreheads. None of their names were read, but they were easy to identify by their hair color. One had indigo hair that was puffed up with a pair of aviator goggles attached. The second one had long green hair and blue mascara around her eyes, and a pink headset. Another had red glasses with gray and white pigtails. The fourth had a bowl-cut hairstyle with a golden sun hairclip. The last girl had a cherry colored hair with a teal streak, wrapped up in a pony-tail with a cherry and mint clip. "Afternoon girls!" The indigo haired girl said with a smile. "Afternoon Indigo," Sunset beamed as she checked her equipment one last time. "So, you girls ready?" "Yeah, lets do this!" Indigo smirked. "Come on!" The group of ten all walked close together as they began to walk to the entrance. "So Sunset, talk to us. Do we know what our ghost is this time?" Indigo asked. "Sadly no. All we know is that there was a ghost sighted over here at this hotel." "Aw, don't worry! I'm sure we can figure out our little ghost buddy." The green haired girl named Lemon Zest grinned. "You're too upbeat for this job Lemon... but, that's what I like about you." The pig-tailed girl named Sugarcoat replied. "Sunny, Sour, you two made sure to have your proton packs fully charged right?" "Yep!" Both of them grinned. "Good to hear girls." Sunset replied with a smile. "Its better that all of us be at the top of our game." The girls all walked through the front entrance, completely oblivious to some of the people who were staring at them in their weird attire and metallic gear. "Did someone call about a ghost?" Sunset called out. "I did!" "Gah!" Sunset flinched. She looked behind her to see one of the managers standing, calm and collective. "I take it you girls are the Ghostbusters?" "Yes we are. Both Wondercolt and Shadowbolt divisions." Sunset nodded, gesturing her own group and the Shadowbolts. "Talk to us, when did these incidents occur?" "Well at first, these didn't seem like much at first except for nuisances, but the activity had only gotten worse, including ones from several weeks ago. People were complaining about their refreshments being nourished right from their own rooms, and none of them ever got a hint of a burglar breaking in. And we've also received very bizarre reports about some of the electricity going haywire. We were afraid to assume the worst, but we caught onto the activity soon enough." The girls all nodded with acknowledgement. "I hope we can contain this little nuisance down to a minimum?" "You bet we can!" Indigo Zap grinned. "We handle these kinds of situations all the time. Its nothing new to us." Sunny Flare added. "Excellent. Now... one more thing I must ask, can you all handle this with discretion? I don't hope that any of our guests to be disturbed while you handle your work." A few of them just rolled their eyes. "Are you kidding? No seriously, are you kidding me?" Sour Sweet grumbled. "We're completely discreet, you don't need to panic." Twilight replied. "Discretion is the better part of valor." Sugarcoat quoted. Once they were finished, the group immediately walked to the center of the lodge. Where was their first location? Where should they go first? Sunset turned around and looked at the whole group. "I think its better if we split into groups. We can cover more grounds that way. There's a lot of floors and rooms to cover up, and we won't do good in one cluster." "She's right. We can do more damage that way." Sugarcoat nodded. "Twilight, you're with me. Lemon Zest and Pinkie Pie, you're a team. Fluttershy and Sour Sweet, you both are a team. Sunny Flare and Sugarcoat, you're a team. And that leaves Rainbow Dash and Indigo Zap. Do we have it all clear?" "Yep!" Sunset smiled. "Good. Now lets go find this specter." Sunset and Twilight walked to the left of the lodge coming right to a walkway on more carpet that was outside of a fenced area. In the fenced area, they could see an open dining space which was empty. The staff could be seen busying away in the kitchen. The two girls looked to the right and they found two different elevators that could lead to up on more floors. And behind them there was Sugarcoat, Sunny, Fluttershy, and Sour Sweet who were going up to the next couple of floors. Beside them, a man in a trench coat stared at them, observing their strange attire and metallic gear. "What are you girls? Cosmonauts?" "No, we're just cosplaying for Ray Parker's music video." Sugarcoat bluntly replied. "Forgive our friend, she's usually sarcastic. No, we're exterminators. We were reported about a dangerous wild animal up on a couple of floors." The man could only raise his brows. "Sounds like some animal." The doors opened up, and the couple on it left the lift, but they couldn't cast their eyes away from the strange clothing. Who even tailored those girls? The Ghostbusters got onto the elevator, but they managed to squeeze in some room. "Are you going up?" Sunset asked. "I can wait for the next one." Sunset shrugged and then the elevator door closed. As they were going up, the girls stared at the top of the elevator shaft, reading the glowing numbers of the floors that they were reaching. "You know girls, I forgot to say this but, I've created some new weapons to help detain the ghosts. Unfortunately, I didn't think about testing them out first." Sugarcoat stated. "I blame myself." Sunny Flare replied. "So do I." Sour commented. Awkward silence filled the void for a few seconds. "Well, there's no turning back now. We'll just have to keep moving forward." Twilight replied. "Why should we? Each one of us is wearing highly powerful and dangerous, unlicensed, nuclear accelerators on their back." Sugarcoat said. Once more, awkward silence. "Well. Lets switch them on." All of them reached behind their backs to their proton packs and flipped on switches to turn them on. All in harmony, the suits began to hum with power. But the tone that they were letting off felt ominous. Concerned, the girls all tried their best to give a little bit of distance between each other. The elevator doors opened up, and the first ones to leave were Sunny Flare and Sugarcoat. Both of them held their guns, and they kept them in front of themselves, ready to shoot. "Lets check the left wing first." Sunny nodded. The two of them quickly jogged from the elevator to the hallway, ready with their proton packs. "Alright, lets handle this quickly and efficiently. Do you have the PKE meter?" Sunny grabbed a tool that was clutched to her belt and turned it on. It was a small tracking device that had blinking lights, specifically made for them to help detect their heat signature. "Okay. Now lets take a look." Sunny walked in front of Sugarcoat and she began to wave the meter side to side, checking for the signature. With any luck, they could sniff their ghost out like a hound dog. On the floor above them. Sour Sweet and Fluttershy were performing similar tasks. They had to go check on their floor, and they had to do it diligently. The two girls made it around a corner and spotted only what they could assume was a maid, pushing a cart full of cleaning supplies down the hall. Maybe she had seen their ghost? She was the only person that was out on the floor, there wasn't anyone else around to talk to. Both of them holding their weapons close, walked up to the maid who stopped to look at them. "Who the dickens are you two?" "Long story, where's the ghost?" Sour asked with gruffness. "I'm sorry?" The maid asked, confused. "We've been receiving calls about a ghost here, have you seen it?" The maid shook her head, and looked down the hall behind the two girls. The footsteps drew Sour's attention, and she slowly turned to see another person. Growling, she rubbed at her temples, annoyed that they haven't found the ghost. "This is a waste of our time... come on Fluttershy, lets just keep going." Pinkie Pie and Lemon Zest were busy skipping down a hall, singing together in perfect harmony. They were too busy having fun while on their search for the ghost. Well, the Mayor was frantic The town was panicked Cause they had no sense of fear Cause they knew they were missing Those girls with a mission So they called them up right chere The two made another turn with happy grins, still prancing away. They were boxing and trapping And shooting through the joint Stepped right in and Got down to the point Those Ghostbusters came in Cleaning up the town The two of them stopped singing and giggled. They made up the song during their trip back. Now they would have to find someone to actually perform that song. "Okay, we've got to record that!" Lemon grinned. "I agree! We can totally--" Pinkie stopped moving and raised her hand up, sniffing the air. She sniffed some more, and jumped up and landed on all fours like a cat. She sniffed some more and squinted her eyebrows. "Something smells wrong." She walked on all fours for a few seconds, and stopped to look down on the floor. In front of her eyes was a strange substance that looked like it leaked onto the carpet floor, and it was steaming. "Hmm... I'm picking up a hint of ectoplasm with... crispy French fries?" Pinkie sniffed. Lemon got on her hands and knees as well, and she sniffed it too. "Yep. That's definitely fries. Hang on..." She pulled out a small container and she rubbed it against the stain in the carpet, containing some of the goo. She sealed the container and helped Pinkie back on her feet. The two were about to continue, but they heard a strange sound. Clattering glass to be precise. And it was coming around the corner. Both of them poked their heads out of the corner, and their mouths practically dropped to the floor. In the air was a glowing green specter... a fat one too. It had no legs, but there was lots of chubbiness to it, and it was eating through lots of the food that was on the cart. The two of them gulped. "Well, we found our ghost." Lemon Zest stated. "How do we approach this? Should we call them?" "We're too far away. I think we have to handle it on our own. Besides, I think we got this! Trust your auntie Pinkie Pie!" Pinkie grinned. Lemon nodded. "Alright... lets get this blob." Lemon's hands went to the bottom sides of the proton pack, pressing a button. Two hatches opened up, sliding out two twin blasters that were connected to the machine through pipes. And the guns had some glowing red neon within them. Pinkie Pie pulled out her weapon as well, and turned it on, creating the same humming noise from the elevator. The two exchanged glances and grinned. Lemon Zest then slipped on a pink headset, equipped with a microphone. "Alright. Get him!" Pinkie Pie performed a ninja roll, landing straight up on one knee and she fired her weapon at the specter, releasing a powerful surge of red and orange streams which blasted parts of the wall, frightening the ghost. It wasn't long until Lemon Zest performed the same movements, using her two guns to try and shoot as well. The ghost let out a howl and it flew right down the hall, zipping past the girls. And unexpectedly taking the food cart with it. The girls got up and chased the cart down the hall, but they stopped when they saw its impact. The cart slammed itself right into a wall, crashing more of the plates and silverware everywhere, creating a bigger mess than the very ghost. Pinkie blinked. "Huh. Sugarcoat was right, we did do more damage this way." Below a couple of floors, Indigo Zap and Indigo Zap were moving side to side, checking every nook and cranny of the floor. The floor they were down on had a bakery, double doors leading to the indoor swimming park, and an area leading to the video game arcade area. Their eyes looked around the place. Oh how they would have loved to play these games, but right now they had a mission to do. Maybe once their ghost was captured they could play them? Rainbow's eyes looked to the left, and to the right. Nothing out of place so far. But wait. The sound of one of the arcade games grabbed her attention. Probably Indigo Zap, knowing her. "Indy, come on. We can play later!" Rainbow groaned. "Uh, Rainbow, that's not me." Rainbow turned around and saw Indigo Zap was just standing there, holding her proton weapon in hand. And she wasn't near any games of any kind. "You're not playing any of these games?" "No." Both of them turned their heads over to the left where the noise originated. Carefully moving closer, the two of them leered around a corner and they froze. Standing right in front of them was a bright blue ghoul that was sizzling with electricity from its body, a crazy grin permanent on its face. He was busy playing away on one of the arcade games, winning each round without failure and complete focus. Not even the voices of the girls or the sounds of them caught his attention. "I think we just found our source of the electricity issues." Indigo whispered. "Should we detain it?" "Well... he is distracted. Lets get him while he doesn't notice..." Rainbow pulled a small box from her side and threw it onto the ground. It was connected with a large wire, and a big button connecting it. The box itself was colored in black and yellow stripes, and there were a few lights rigged with it. Indigo Zap pulled out her proton gun, and held it in her hands, charging up the weapon. "Okay Rainbow... I'm ready. Ready?" "Now he's distracted... BLAST 'EM!" Indigo pulled the trigger on her proton gun which began to shoot bright neon strings around the ghost, who suddenly let out shrieks of pain and terror. "Come on, hold him steady!" Rainbow said as she fired from her gun, throwing another stream of light onto it. "Alright, lets start bring him down, bring him down, don't cross the streams..." Indigo said as she carefully started to move towards the little box. "Almost got it... now!" Indigo pressed her foot on the button, and the doors of the trap opened up. A bright light emanated from the box, and it started to pull the ghost in. It kept struggling to fight, but the force of the box was too strong for him. In seconds, he was sucked in, and the trap doors closed, sealing the ghost inside. All went silent. Not another peep was made, but except for the sounds of Indigo and Rainbow's breathing, as they stared at the box which had only one light blinking on and off. Their heavy sighs died down, into big grins. "WHOO! We've got one!" Indigo cheered. "Now that's what I call bustin." Rainbow grinned. The two gave each other fist bumps, and even a high five. Indigo carefully bent over and grabbed the cord attached to the box, and held it close, not letting the box touch the floor. It was steaming at this point from the heat, and if it touched the ground, oh boy... Rainbow grabbed her walkie-talkie, and spoke. "Hey girls! We got one!" "Who did you get?" Sunset asked. "We found the source of the electricity problems. Apparently this little ghost was causing all of the power outages. We'll be on our way soon." "Okay. We're still going on the look out. I don't feel like our job's done yet." "Got it. Rainbow out." On an upper deck of the hotel, Sunset and Twilight split up to cover the hallways. It was a very long stretch, and they needed to cover as much ground as possible. Sunset walked through the hallway, but then she came to a stop. Coming around the corner was the same glowing green ghoul that Lemon Zest and Pinkie Pie tried to blast. It stopped in the center of the hall as it looked at Sunset. Staring at it with a deadpan look, Sunset raised her walkie-talkie and spoke. "Pinkie. Twilight. Are any of you around?" "Oh, goodie! Sunset, Lemon and I saw the ghost! It was green and fat and ewww, pretty nasty." "Its right here Pinkie. Its... its looking at me right now." Sunset replied. The ghost stared at Sunset, hovering above with a confused look. "Ugly little thing isn't it?" Lemon asked. The ghost twitched its head with a look of anger. "I think he can hear you Lemon." Sunset replied. Lemon's face drooped on the other side. "Uh oh..." On Lemon's radio she could hear the ghost roaring on the other end, followed by Sunset's own scream. Without even a second to spare, she grabbed Pinkie and the two of them began to run. Back upstairs, Twilight heard the roaring as well, and she came running down several hallways before finding Sunset. Thankfully she wasn't killed or hurt in the slightest, but her entire suit was covered in slime. "Sunset! Are you okay?" Twilight knelt down to look at her friend. Sunset's body remained locked in the same position, stiff. "I feel funky... that thing just slimed me." "You mean you've gotten actual physical contact?" Twilight grinned. "Yeah..." Sunset said awkwardly. "Yes! Yes, yes, yes yes yes yes yes yes yes! That's great! Actual, physical contact!" Twilight squeed. "Not the physical contact I really hoped for." Sunset cringed, trying to move her arms. She felt uncomfortable, cold, and wet from the slime that seeped into her suit. Sunset slowly pulled herself up, and she tried to get back up on her feet. But the wet suit made her feel incredibly uncomfortable. "Are you sure you're okay?" Twilight asked. "That suit's sticking to you like glue." "Yep. Naked under this suit and no one can tell." Sunset said, looking at her wet suit. Twilight blinked. "You're kidding, right?" "Girls, what happened up there?" Lemon asked. "We failed to capture the ghost, Sunset got slimed, and she may or may not actually be wearing anything underneath her suit." Twilight replied. "Don't tease me like that Twilight. Anyways, you two should come back on down. That thing just went down in the elevator." "We're on our way." Sunset stretched her arms out, trying to get used to the slime stains on her suit. "I'm going to need to take this to the laundromat when we're done here." Sunset said, cringing from the gross feel of the cold sticky ooze. Down on the main floor, Indigo Zap and Rainbow Dash were hanging around, waiting for the rest of their friends to come back. The only ones who did return so far were Sugarcoat, Sunny Flare, Sour Sweet, and Fluttershy. "Anyone know where our second ghost is?" Sunny asked. "Nope." "Nothing." "How about that thing?" Sugarcoat asked, pointing in front of them. Coming down of the elevator making lots of giddy noises was the same green ghost which ran straight into the open dining facility and down behind a bar where lots of food was being served. And at that very moment, they found the rest of the girls scrambling out of the elevator down to where they were all standing. "Sorry we're late. We had a bit of traffic issues. Where..." Sunset stopped seeing the containment unit hanging in the air by Indigo's hand. "Hey, you got it!" "Not really. I got one, but there's another one out here." "Then we better go get it. And take that with you, we can't leave it around for someone to accidentally open up." Sunset said. The girls rushed into the open kitchen, their boots slapping against the polished concrete. Their proton packs all charged up and ready to ignite, and the girls took positions ready to shoot. "Okay, so... where is the little booger? I want to shoot something today, and I don't care if its the kitchen!" Sour snapped. From the corner of her eye, Sour found sight of the ghost chugging a bottle of wine. But its contents didn't go into the stomach, as it just spilled right through his body and onto the floor. "That's a good waste of wine, shoot it!" Sour pointed her pistol at the ghost, and a burst of streams fired from the gun's barrel. Caught by surprise, the ghost dropped the wine bottle which shattered on the ground and flew away from the blast. "Nice shot Tex." Sugarcoat stated. "Eh, I could have destroyed more glass." Sour shrugged. "Lets try to keep the damage down to a minimum, can we?" Sunset asked. "He's going in the backroom!" Pinkie yelled. She ran towards one of the counters, and jumped over it, going right into the backroom, presumably the kitchen. From inside, the girls could hear Pinkie's proton gun blasting tons of glassware and dishes inside the room, accompanied by the sounds of the screaming ghost. No one could even see what was going on in there. All they heard was more things being broken and screeching. The ghost was seen coming out from the left wing of the back, behind the counter panting heavily. Without hesitation, Sunny whipped out her proton gun and fired a shot at the ghost who panicked again. The ghost dashed to the right side only for Rainbow Dash to make another attempt to fire upon it. The ghost flew over to the dining tables that had dirty dishes all about and panted as it tried to catch its breath. It had been on the run for so long, he didn't have a chance to take a breather. "Twilight, lets catch that thing. I have an idea. Fluttershy, Sugarcoat and I will hold it in place, Twilight you open the trap and seal it inside." "Got it." The three pulled their proton packs out and charged them up. "Alright, Sugarcoat, you're first!" Sugarcoat let out the first beam, the stream wrapping and whipping around the ghost like snakes, making him scream some more. Fluttershy let out the next charge, and it tangled up the ghost some more in its photonic light. "Now, its my turn..." Sunset pointed her guns at the ghost, and released more streams to fire, providing two shots on the ghost already held. "Not so fun when you're the one who's in trouble, is it?" The ghost shrieked as it tried to flee from the beams, but it was too weak to try and run. "Twilight, now!" Twilight tossed the trap onto the ground, underneath the ghost's hovering point. Then with her foot, she hit the switch to open the trap. The doors opened up, and the ghost was caught in the suction of light. It tried to flee, but the trap was quickly pulling it in. In seconds, the ghost vanished into a green ball and flew right into the box, as the trap doors closed up, sealing it inside. The girls panted and took a few moments to breathe in and out as they tried to calm down from the running. "Yes... we got it!" Sunset cheered. The girls let out some cheers and 'whoos' of victory. "Now lets take these back to the firehouse, we have to put our little buddies to bed." Sunset said, gripping the cord. "And maybe you should wash that suit." Sugarcoat added. "Agreed. Its, ugh, its starting to smell." Twilight cringed. "I know. Come on!" The girls all nodded as they walked out of the dining area, leaving only Sour Sweet and Lemon standing. They were too curious as to what happened to Pinkie Pie. Luckily, she was found okay. Stumbling out of the kitchen and in the middle of the serving room was Pinkie Pie, walking stiffly with a plate in her hand. Her suit was sticking to her like a wet t-shirt. "What happened to you?" Sour asked. "I got slimed in there. Pretty nasty. But the chefs were kind of enough to give me a plate of cookies for shooting it." Pinkie smiled, taking a bite of a cookie with her gloveless hand. She gestured the plate to the two girls. "Want one?" Sour gave a friendly smile and she took a bite of one of the chocolate chip cookies on the plate. Lemon did too. They gave smiles and Sour raised her arms up in the air with a cheer. "I love this job!!!" "Me too! Hey, play that song!" Lemon grinned and she pulled out her media player device hanging on her belt. Smiles all around, the girls walked out of the kitchen, catching up with their friends who were on their way to depart with the ghost and receive the payment of their services. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9We2XsVZfc
