Sweetie Belle was studying for a lesson that was going begin tomorrow at school, Cheerilee told all of the students to be ready for the lesson and told them to study, she counted herself lucky that Rarity left her alone so she could work on it without any interruptions but she also missed Rarity. Rarity had left earlier that morning for something that seemed very important.
The only problem was was that Rarity didn't exactly tell Sweetie Belle what it was that was very important, it made her curious as she wondered about what Rarity was up to at that moment, she ordered what was important about that day. She just shrugged it off though as she continued to work. Finally she finished studying.
She wondered if her and Rarity would ever go to the local beach again like they did last time, she had a fun time the last time she and Rarity went to the beach and she would like to go again, she had fun their last time, the place had amusement park close by as well (but they didn't get to go their last time. While she was thinking about this Rarity entered Carousal Boutique.
"Sweetie Belle do you want to go to the beach like last time? I don't want to stay inside during a warm day, it's the perfect temperature out and I think you would enjoy the day out!" Rarity stated. Sweetie Belle was put off by this question. She did have fun the last time they went and she did want to go again but she didn't know if Rarity would have any work that needed to be done.
"Rarity don't you have orders to fill today? You should get those done before we do anything fun..." She started to say but she was cut off as Rarity took hold o her hand and urged her to come with her in excitement. Sweetie Belle couldn't help but smile at Rarity's excitement.
"I have a surprise for you! Please come with me! Your going to love it!" Rarity urged, Sweetie Belle looked around at her notes that she was studying and realized that she needed a break so she nodded with a smile.
"Alright cool!" Sweetie Belle said, Rarity walked with Sweetie Belle to the place while Sweetie Belle wondered where they were going, then all of a sudden Rarity covered her eyes and Sweetie Belle protested but Rarity ignored her soon they both stopped and Rarity uncovered Sweetie Belle's eyes and Sweetie Belle looked on as she was stunned.
"Surprise!" Rarity's friends and Sweetie Belle's friends yelled, they were at a beach with an amusement park nearby, Sweetie Belle became excited as she was stunned as well.
"Well...I wasn't expecting that! This was a great surprise!" Sweetie Belle remarked, Rarity smiled as she shook her head. She put sunscreen on her and after a few moments she was done.
"This actually isn't the surprise I'm talking about, you'll find out about the real surprise after lunch which we will have here but for not go ahead and play! This is something I set up for everybody here!" Rarity remarked, Sweetie Belle nodded and hugged her and then ran off with the cutie mark crusaders to go swimming for a bit.
Rarity watched Sweetie Belle run up to her friends giggling as she sat down by Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash watched them with her and spoke as she looked at Rarity's belly.
"Are you sure she won't mind?" Rainbow Dash asked as she looked at Rarity, Rarity shook her head as she knew that Sweetie Belle will be happy when she finds out.
"She will love hearing about it!" Rarity said with confidence, Twilight and Applejack went out towards the beach and hung out with Sweetie Belle as Rarity watched them play volleyball and just hung out together. Sweetie Belle had a blast which was expected as she played with Rarity's friends and played volleyball together.
Pinkie Pie started to cook the food as Sweetie Belle looked over at Rarity once in a while while she hung around and just continued to play on the beach. Sweetie Belle wondered what Rarity was keeping from her, she didn't even know that Rarity was hiding a secret until now so she wondered how long she had the secret for.
Sweetie Belle lost against Rainbow Dash though as she was distracted but she didn't mind as she was having to much fun to notice, she got an idea, she looked over at Rainbow Dash.
"I bet you that you can't build a huge sand castle before I do." Sweetie Belle challenged her. Rainbow Dash laughed.
"Okay that bet is totally on and if I do build one that is bigger than yours you have to personally do my homework for a year." Sweetie Belle said smirking. Rainbow Dash grinned.
"Fine, then if I build one bigger than yours you have to dance awkwardly in front of your entire class and you can't chicken out!" Rainbow Dash said, Sweetie Belle smirked.
"It is so on!" Sweetie Belle proclaimed, and with the that Rainbow Dash and Sweetie Belle started to build their sand castles. Sweetie Belle tried to collect as much sand as she could as she didn't want to make a fool of herself in front of the entire classroom, soon Sweetie Belle finished and her castle was bigger than Rainbow Dash's.
Rarity was shocked that Sweetie Belle had won the bed but Rainbow Dash didn't mind as she just shrugged.
"Well you won, I have to do your homework for an entire year!" Rainbow Dash remarked while she giggled, Rarity was about to protest but Rainbow Dash shrugged at her. They continued to make sandcastles for a few more minutes and soon the food was ready.
While they ate and talked Sweetie Belle was dying to know the surprise, she was trying to be patient but it was working, soon they were all done that and Rarity whispered in Rainbow Dash's ear. They had Sweetie Belle sit down by them as she spoke up.
"What's going on? Aren't we having cake?" Sweetie Belle asked, Rainbow Dash spoke up first. Rarity realized that this was the moment that her sister was about to find out everything that she had been up to for the past couple of weeks.
"There is something that your sister and I have been wanting to tell you for quite a while now, we have to been able to because we have been so busy with everything that has been going on....we are so excited to be unveiling this to you!" Rainbow Dash spoke with a super excited tone. Sweetie Belle wondered what was so great about the secret that could excite them to tell her so much.
"What is it?" Sweetie Belle asked as she looked at them both, Rainbow Dash looked at Rarity for a minute and Rarity smiled and looked at Sweetie Belle.
"Sweetie darling....we have waited anxiously for this moment, and today we can now tell you that you are getting a new member of the family! Sweetie Belle... I'm pregnant!" Rarity exclaimed with joy.
Sweetie Belle stared at her in disbelief as she processed what she just hear her sister say, it took her a few moments to respond but when she did she smiled happily as she hugged Rarity. After she hugged her she grew confused at how Rarity could get pregnant without a man. She broke away from the hug.
"But aren't you supposed to have sex with...a guy in order to get pregnant?" Sweetie Belle asked with confusion. Rainbow Dash spoke up.
"You see Sweetie Belle...Rarity did something which is called artificial insemination...which works by a procedure where sperm is injected into a female's uterus....which leads to pregnancy." Rainbow Dash explained.
"Which means...." Sweetie Belle began to say but Rarity finished for her.
"Which means that I'm gay Sweetie Belle, Me and Rainbow Dash have been in a relationship for two years now, I was going to tell you the last time we went to the beach but I thought that I wasn't ready to come out to you yet." Rarity said. Sweetie Belle was shocked but she smiled and hugged them both.
"I'm so happy! I wonder if it's going to be a boy or a girl! I don't mind that your gay either Did you tell mom and dad?" Sweetie Belle said, Rarity shrugged.
"We will have to see. Our parents already know and they don't seem to mind that I'm gay...I tried to tell you that I was gay for a while now, I tried to tell you when we went to the beach together but I didn't have the courage until now." Rarity said, Sweetie Belle smiled and hugged them again. After that Pinkie Pie grinned.
"Well the celebratory cake isn't going to eat itself, i spent all day working on it!" Pinkie Pie declared, Sweetie Belle broke away from the hug and hugged and Rainbow Dash as well soon they all had cake as Sweetie Belle was thrilled that Rainbow Dash was Rarity's wife.
"Me and Rarity are already married, the ceremony was private, we were going to invite you but we were having it while you were in school so...." Rainbow Dash said. Sweetie Belle shrugged.
"That's fine! I'm just so happy!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed, Rainbow Dash grinned and patted her shoulder as they ate. Soon after eating cake they hung for a bit more and then they said farewell to eachother and Sweetie Belle got ready to go home with Rainbow Dash and Rarity.
"Did you have fun Sweetie Belle?" Rarity asked, Sweetie Belle told her how she had a great day, she told her how she couldn't wait for her new sister to arrive, Rarity smiled as they just hugged and they all went home, Sweetie Belle fell asleep on the way home as she was tired from the wonderful time that she had today, she had a dream where she imagined what her new family member would be like as she couldn't wait.
This day at the beach was a lot better than the other time she was at the beach with her sister. She didn't mind that her sister hesitated to tell her the last time she was there with her as she knew it now. She couldn't wait for the new member of the family.
