Check-Mate
The Wrong Pony
Load Full StoryThe dungeon was dark and damp as a colt laid in the Canterlot dungeon he was mal-nourished and his eye’s were blood shot. The colt was an earthpony as he had a snow white coat. His ears we’re huge as black splotches and spots covered his snowy coat. The fur on his ears was black as a black spot was over his eye's. His back hooves were covered in spots as well as his emerald green eyes we’re large even for pony standards.
His mane and tail we’re cut in a pixie style as they both we’re chestnut brown. The colt had been crying as he tried to curl up into a ball and forget about what had got him here. His name was Check-Mate. Suddenly his cell opened and the colt gasped and looked up in horror to see a green alicorn colt. His hair was cut short in a bowl style as it along with his eye’s were dandelion yellow.
His name was Timidthy.
“Help me! I—I didn’t do it!” Check-Mate,
“I know. But I can’t help you. The guards won’t let me bring in anything and they disable my magic. I’m so sorry.” Timidthy said. Check-Mate started sobbing even harder,
“Then tell him to call it off.” He said. Timidthy sighed,
“I’ve tried. I’ll give my brother one thing. He’ll always stand up for what he believes in.” Timidthy said. Check-Mate sniffed and his tears hit the ground Timidthy just watched in sorrow. Not knowing what to do for the colt; suddenly Check-Mate lunged onto Timidthy. As he let out a mournful and pained scream,
“I REFUSE TO DIE! I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW HER!” Check-Mate said. Timidthy gasped and only blocked his face as Check-Mate tried to beat him down. Suddenly Check-Mate bucked Timidthy and the colt crashed into dust, soot, and chalk on his cell. Timidthy got up now looking a be a near mirror image of Check-Mate. He looked around as his horn was charged for a teleportation spell. Check-Mate appeared right behind Timidthy he then reeled his front hooves over the prince’s head.
An alicorn colt walked down the dungeon halls with his horn glowing as it bathed the world in an inky purple. His coat was blood red as his eye’s matched that same color. His hair was in a pompadour hairstyle as his hair was striped red and purple. His cutiemark was an mysterious black figure with an executioner mask over it’s face. Blood Bones stopped at a cell and saw the victim he had to kill; he saw Check-Mate.
He glared at the colt a look of disgust coming over his face. Blood Bones bucked the colt,
“GET UP!” He said. Check-Mate gasped and got up on command, his looked terrified when he saw Blood Bones. He opened his mouth to speak, but before he could get out a word Blood Bones slapped him.
“You don’t get to speak! You didn’t give that mare a word when you raped her! So neither do you!” Blood Bones said, as his magic surrounded Check-Mate. He then grabbed the colt to his special torture chamber. The room was bloody and the place smelled of death. Check-Mate gagged and resisted urge to puke while Blood Bones breathed in the air no problem. Blood Bones then levitated Check-Mate onto a torture table.
He closed the metal clasps tightly onto Check-Mate’s wrists. The imprisoned colt tried to speak again only for Blood Bones to pull out a pair of pliers. And forced the colts mouth open; he then ripped out one of the colts teeth.
“I told you not to speak! If you say one more thing I will rip all your teeth and tongue out!” Blood Bones said, “Now I bet your wondering why I’m doing this?” Check-Mate nodded.
“Well I asked mom if I could take things into my own hooves. And she said yes. Plus I need to blow off some steam.” Blood Bones said, Check-Mate shook in horror. “Ya know maybe ripping your teeth and tongue out now would be good. Unfortulently you know when to shut up.” Check-Mate shook his head desperately but Blood Bones seemed to get sick joy out of it. He lit his horn up and forced for Check-Mate’s mouth to open, along with keeping his head still. He then ripped the colts teeth out one by one as his victim held back yelps and screams of pain. Finally all Check-Mate had left was his tongue and Blood Bones grabbed a pair of bloody scissors. Blood Bones chuckled as he saw that Check-Mate’s mouth was over flowing with blood.
“This has been fun.” Blood Bones said as he used his magic to stretch his victim’s tongue out. And then Blood Bones slowly cut the tongue out of Check-Mate’s mouth. Check-Mate was now crying as blood pooled from his mouth. Blood Bones then connected some wires to Check-Mate.
“So any last words?” Blood Bones asked, Check-Mate looked up at his executioner. As his look held surprise, shock, fear, and confusion. Blood Bones again chuckled,
“Oh I’m gonna electrocute you to death. Sure it may be overkill but it’s only my job.” He said. Check-Mate again shook his head looking as if he did want to tell Blood Bones something. But the colt didn’t listen; he flipped a switch and electricity glowed through Check-Mate. The colt bit down on his gums small whimpers escaping his throat. His fur and made was being singed off as the smell of burning meat and flesh filled the air.
Check-Mate’s bladder gave out; finally the pain became to much and he screamed.
“BWOOD BWNES PWEAWE STWP!” The voice came out weak and sounded very foalish. But that’s not what threw Check-Mate off. It sounded like Timidthy. Suddenly Blood Bones cut off the switch and ran over to Check-Mate’s now perfectly cooked corpse. Blood Bones was now crying as he rubbed his hoof against “Check-Mate’s” chest.
Praying he hadn’t heard what he thought he had heard; unfortulently the chalk and dirt rubbed off. And revealed a green coat underneath; Blood Bones then started sobbing uncontrollably.
“No. No…….NOOOOOOO!!!” Blood Bones said as he hugged his brother lifeless body.
Blood Bones woke up his heart racing. He looked around to see he was in bed; he looked out his window and saw it was the dead of night. Blood Bones felt his heart race as he immediately panicked and ran to his brother’s room. He made sure to close his brother’s door as he woke him up. Timidthy groaned and looked up to see Blood Bones.
“Brother what’s wrong?” Timidthy said, Blood Bones then felt his mind skid to a halt. He couldn’t just tell his brother he had a nightmare right?
“I—I…..” Blood Bones said trailing off in embarrassment, Timidthy seemed to connect the dots as his eye’s gleamed for a moment. He hugged his brother,
“It’s alright Bonesy. You can sleep with me if you want.” Timidthy said. Blood Bones blushed, but smiled.
“Thanks Tim.” He said, and Timidthy made room in his bed for Blood Bones. The two before turned over on their sides as they tried to get back to sleep.
“We can talk about your nightmare in the morning if you want.” Timidthy muttered,
“Maybe.” Blood Bones muttered. After a few moments Timidthy spoke again,
“If you don’t want to talk about it in the morning then we can meet my new friend. His name is Check-Mate.” He said falling asleep. But Blood Bones eye’s widened in shock as he knew he wouldn’t be getting any more sleep.
