Chapter 1: Beginnings
One day I was hanging out playing CoD. Being fifth prestige I was kicking everybody's ass at it. After single-handedly winning a round of Search and Destroy for my team (Hardcore obviously) I went to get a snack.
When I opened my fridge the oddest thing happened. There was a portal inside of it, drawing me towards it. I struggled, but eventually it sucked me in. The all faded to black...
I woke up in a strange, bright and colourful place. There were apple trees nearby. After some difficulty trying to get up I made a discovery:
I had hooves!
After looking myself in a nearby river I realized what I looked like. I was now a badass red and black pony with a horn and bat wings.
"What the fuck is going on?"' I asked myself.
As I continued along the river to the town I saw up ahead of me, an orange pony walked up in front of me.
"Oh my... it cannot be!" the pony exclaimed.
"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"There's no time I have to get you to Princess Celestia," the stranger retorted.
She led me to the town and to a giant treehouse.
"Twilight open up we got an emergency." The orange pony shouted in her southern drawl.
A pretty purple pony opened the door to her treehouse. One look at me and her expression changed from curiosity to surprise.
"Spike take a letter."
A purple and green dragon took out a pen and scroll. The purple pony then said word-by-word what she wanted to tell the Princess.
After a couple minutes a white pony with wings and a horn, like me, walked into the treehouse.
"I'm sorry but you're going to have to explain yourself Nightshade," she said to me.
"Nightshade? My names not Nightshade. Look: I'm not from this world. Im not even a pony. I'm a human."
The Princess thought his over a bit and whispered back and forth with the purple one.
After a few minutes they had their decision.
"You will live here with Twilight. She will educate you on who you are, what your history is and how to use your magical powers. Now I must go. Canterlot needs me."
As the Princess and the orange pony "Applejack" left, "Twilight" look at me and blushed.
Then my lessons with Twilight began. She had a lot to teach me, so it took a really long time. I lived with her in her treehouse the whole time.
It turns out the "Nightshade" was the creator of Equestria and the father of Princess Luna and Princess Celestia. He was part Pony, part Dragon, part Changeling and part Zebra.
He had created the Elements of Harmony for his daughters so they could defeat the evil Discord who took over his Equestria. He also represented the hidden element of power.
In legend he was the faster flier of all time, creating a dark sonic-rainboom. He was also the most the most gifted pony at magic, able to fight off ten Ursa Majors.
Legend has it that after creating the Elements he disappeared mysteriously, destined to come back when Equestria needed him.
"You have all of his potential," said Twilight. "Im here to help you unlock it."
The training was difficult. To begin with I had no idea how to use magic.
After much trial and error I was finally able to use simple levitation magic. I was only able to levitate one rock at first, but then later was able to levitate many more.
As I progressed I found I was beginning to be more and more attached to TwiIijht. I noticed she felt the same way. It was the small things. The occasional glance, a hug that lasts a second more than usual. However we had to focus on our task.
Next thing I had to focus on was flying. For this Twilight brought along her friend Rainbow Dash. After snapping out of her daze from looking at my awesome wings, she began giving me tips.
"Alright first thing you have to do is learn to open your wings. This is the first step to get flying!"
After finally managing this, I was quite a natural at flying and excelled in Rainbow Dash's lessons.
"Wow I've never seen anyone pick it up that quickly," said the pegasus. "Not even I did."
To broaden my horizons Twilight had to teach me about my other abilities. To help me with my Changeling capabilities she brought Fluttershy aboard.
After her initial shyness, she was intrigued and wanted to help.
"Alright think about being a bunny rabbit... you know... if you want to..." she weakly instructed.
After many hours of trial, but mostly error, I managed to transform myself into a bunny.
Next up was using my Zebra powers to create potions. Twilight brought me all the way to the Everfree forest to see Zecora, a master in potions.
"You must use the root of the bluewood tree, to make this potion with me," chanted the Zebra.
As I walked through the forest to find the bluewood tree, I ran across a Manticore. Luckily because of my training with Twilight I knew what to do.
I picked up a stone with my magic and threw it through the skull of the Manticore. It died instantly.
Past the Manticore I found a bluewood tree. I dug up it's roots and hurried back to Zecora.
With her instruction I made a simple concoction. Although it was my first time, it was expertly made.
My final set of instructions was based around being a dragon. It wasn't much, but Spike taught me how to breathe fire. After almost burning down the treehouse, we were forced to practice outside. I was eventually able to breathe a steady stream of fire.
My basic training was complete. At the end of the day I found Twilight upstairs on the balcony. I trotted beside her.
"Nightshade, you're so powerful and awesome, I love you," said the love-stricken pony.
"I know," I said as I kissed her.
