The Crackling Fires of Love
Twilight stared at the letter, reading it for a second time. "Nope, this doesn't make any more sense." Sitting in the comfortable reading chair of the library of her new castle, she tried to understand what the letter meant with another reading.
In the end, it took nearly eight full readings to understand what Dragon Lord Ember wanted. The first half, it turned out, was posturing. Ember needed to be seen to be fierce, and that meant officially she had to be fierce.
The gist, when Twilight had worked it out, was that Ember knew all about "Crackle" but the real Crackle, it seemed, also knew. The dragoness in question wasn't upset, Twilight was thankful, but she did have a small favor to ask.
"So why are we here?" Rainbow Dash hovered mid-air, her wings flapping lazily. "I mean, sure we dressed up in that stupid outfit, but what's the deal?"
"Dragon Lord Ember has asked us to help her sister with a little problem. Right now is the dragon lava regatta, and Crackle is meant to be officiating at it." Twilight pointed to the letter—now in Rarity's hooves—and rolled a hoof in the air. "All she wants is us to go to Canterlot for some meeting in her place. I can certainly understand how bad it is to be double-booked."
"Darling, I still have the costume, but as I told Twilight: it needs all three of us to operate. It would be a mess trying to teach another pegasus, and we don't really have time." Rarity tried to make sense of the letter, even trying to turn it upside down.
Rainbow Dash groaned, defeated. "So what do I haveta do?"
Inside the costume, it was hard to figure out what was going on. Twilight had the open mouth to peek out of, and Rainbow Dash had eye-holes in the front, but it was poor Rarity who had to navigate the back end around. "What did they say?"
"Something about a wedding. I guess that is the big event we are meant to go to." Rainbow Dash hated the confines of the suit, but figured that there being nothing else to do, she might as well help her friends. "Come on, follow me."
"Princess Crackle!" Sassy Saddles didn't see past the disguise, she was far too busy. "Quickly, come this way. Oh my, once I tell Rarity that I fulfilled the contract for a whole royal wedding on my own she will be thrilled!"
"I will?"
"Shh!" Twilight had grown since the last time she wore the Crackle suit, and it left the "dragoness" neck looking swollen. Lifting her voice, she tried to make an excuse for her loud exclamation. "Sorry, I have a cold!"
"Oh no, and on such a special day?" Jostling Crackle around, Sassy applied a liberal coat of scale polish. "Come along, we only have a few more minutes!"
Rainbow Dash and Rarity had to race to keep up as Sassy led her charge all the way through the castle to the huge main hall. Twilight and Rainbow could recognize the same room that was used for Shining Armor and Cadance's wedding.
"This is actually quite exciting. I wish I could see who was getting married." Rarity had what some would call the best view in the castle, assuming you really liked Rainbow Dash's butt. "Couldn't we swap places for just a little bit?"
"Shh. You don't have wings, Rarity." Rainbow Dash led the way, walking beside Sassy. Strangely, there were two pure white unicorns trotting before them, spreading rose petals as they walked.
"The wedding is for Prince Blue Blood." Twilight watched as the dais got closer and closer, then they were walking up it, and to her suddenly lurching stomach, Sassy angled them so they were standing before Princess Celestia, and opposite Blue Blood. "G-G-Girls, I think we are in trouble."
"Who's wedding is it?" Rarity poked her head past Rainbow Dash's flank.
Rainbow Dash caught on too, and stared in shock at the stunning example of stallion perfection opposite her. "Ours."
"I now pronounce you dragon, and colt." Celestia beamed in delight. The marriage of her strange nephew to a dragoness had been a political dream, and getting Blue Blood locked up in marriage at last was icing on the cake.
"Come, my sweet." Striding up to his new wife, Prince Blue Blood didn't hold back a fraction of his charm. "Our chambers await."
"What do we do?" Rainbow Dash and Rarity both looked up at Twilight, both in a state of shock.
"W-W-We are supposed to fill in for Crackle, so when she arrives this will all be her wedding, and nopony will remember it. We just have to keep Princes Smiles here from getting too amorous and it should be okay." Twilight paused a moment, remembering how Rarity had fawned over Blue Blood. "Uh… Unless one of you wants to take one for the team?"
"We gotta move, come on." Walking again, Rainbow Dash kept pace with Prince Blue Blood, and tried to ignore the cheering crowd of ponies behind them. He led her along several corridors of the castle until they were finally at what she assumed to be his chambers. "Twilight, make an excuse."
"Come, my darling, we still have that other matter to discuss." Blue Blood tilted his head and gave "Crackle" the finest look—he called it Mareslayer. He strode briskly into the rooms, and gave a happy sigh.
Rarity walked into Rainbow Dash's luscious, tight rear. "Why did you stop suddenly, what is going on?" She tried to push past Rainbow Dash to see, managing to get one eye to an eye-hole. What Rarity saw shocked her. "Where did Blue Blood go? Who is that princess?"
"That's Blue Blood! He turned… and then… I don't know what is happening!" Twilight shook her head—which shook Crackle's—and stared again at the image of feminine beauty before her.
Princess Blue Blood shook her mane and posed a moment. "That illusion is getting to be too much. I can't believe Auntie Celestia makes me use it. 'There are too many princesses already,' she said. What about Twilight Sparkle? She gets to be a princess, while I have to fend mares off with a stick." She turned to face her betrothed. "I can't complain, not with such a beauty."
All three ponies in the suit were shocked when Blue Blood kissed Twilight, not least of which was Twilight. Soft lips touched her own, and as she realized it was her first real kiss, she felt Blue Blood's tongue press past her teeth.
Princess Blue Blood showed no clue that what she was doing was at all strange, although she did take mental notes about Twilight's form; she was making out with a really bad kisser. She pulled back a moment. "We still have to consummate this, you know. If you aren't going to warm up, I might have to—"
"SorryitwasmyfirstandIdidn'tknowwhattodoandIHAVEACOLD!" Twilight panted, managing to rein in her verbal assault. To her shock, Blue Blood was turning and lifting her tail. Twilight Sparkle knew what a mare looked like, she had done some "experiments" of her own, but seeing a fellow alicorn aim her bits in Twilight's face was a bit much.
Rainbow Dash knew what Blue Blood expected. "Rarity, you remember when we both got drunk on Granny Smith's moonshine?"
Her cheeks coloring, Rarity nodded. "Th-The time when you couldn't walk for a week after?"
"That's the one. I don't suppose you have something to drink?" Rainbow Dash actually jumped, landing on Princess Blue Blood's back.
"I wish I did." Rarity now had a view of her target. Princess Blue Blood was bigger than most mares, and Rarity would have to rear up to reach the royal vulva. Under the fume hood that the suit had become, Rarity was inundated by the scent of aroused mare, and her mind did indeed wander back to her time with Rainbow Dash.
Twilight looked down at her friends, and the huge plot under them. "What are you going to—"
Princess Blue Blood moaned as what she thought was a huge draconic shaft speared into her. "Oh yes! Darling, you are wonderful!" She braced herself, feeling her lover's four-forelegs on her back, while one of "Crackle"s rear ones pressed to her rump. The thick shaft pulled free, then shoved back in.
Rarity was surprised at how easy her foreleg went in, and unlike her time with Rainbow Dash—which she vaguely remembered—she was getting a little into it. Princess Blue Blood was making enough appreciative sounds to make Rarity feel quite good about her efforts.
"Twilight, you need to talk to her, say something dirty." Lifting a wing, Rainbow Dash poked Twilight in the side.

"Of course I am." Princess Blue Blood rocked her body, claiming the full attention of her lover with each thrust. "You are my first, my darling Crackle." She turned her head and nuzzled the suit's jaw. "H-Harder!"
"Harder, Rarity!" Rainbow Dash forgot to keep her voice down, but in the moment she doubted Blue Blood would even take notice.
"I'm giving her all I have, darling." Rarity's voice was haggared. She had given up bracing one foreleg against the Princess' plot, and used her freed hoof to stroke herself. "I don't think I can last much longer…" Pleasure was growing with each thrust of her foreleg into Blue Blood. Crackle landed on the window, and slipped into the room. She gazed at the dragon costume curled up with her beloved. She skittered towards Princess Blue Blood, and leaned down to the head of the costume copy of herself. "Pony? Are you in there?"
"Please… help…" Twilight's tone bespoke shock, terror, and being too close to something horrific.
"Mmm, Rarity…"
"Rainbow, Darling, harder!"
Lifting her head up (the fake one), Crackle looked at the three ponies who had been impersonating her. "You ponies are very strange, but I think I can take it from here."
"We-We're even?" Twilight levitated Rarity and Rainbow into the air, the two vaguely resembling an ouroboros, save that it was their forelegs shoved into each other's "tail." Shuddering, particularly when it seemed like neither of her friends were inclined to stop, Twilight started walking out.
Turning to close the door, the Princess of Friendship spotted the costume and reached for it with her magic.
"Leave that. I have a—a use for it." Crackle curled her sinuous body around her betrothed, and gave Blue Blood a loving squeeze.
