There seemed to be a new energy about Rarity, making Rainbow stare at her as she moved to her seat opposite the pegasus. “Alright, so...about that bet…” she started, only for Rarity to giggle.
“Whats the matter, dear? Did nopony take on your ‘sexy cop’ routine well?” Rarity asked, resting her chin on steepled fingers.
“...next time, I’m going as a cheerleader. Or something.” Rainbow muttered, making the unicorn giggle across from her. “And you?”
Rarity smiled, and cast a glance out at the walking road nearby. Rainbow followed her gaze, and raised an eyebrow as she watched Thunderlane pause in the middle of the street while looking at the two of them. Actually, he was looking at Rarity, and seemed to blush before walking away. Or rather limp away, from his odd walk.
“Oh...you could say it was an interesting night to clear some cobwebs.”

This is the first story of three I had in mind for this little "writing for Halloween" idea I had. I've had no idea of what to really call it, though; kinda hard to make a catchy pun about writing and Halloween in the same breath. Anyway; hope this is to your liking, and keep an eye out for more on the way!
